I don't understand how this storm system isn't dropping a tornado right now near Watonga, Oklahoma.
Watonga's wind direction is opposite all nearby wind directions.
There's hail all over.
The temperature differentials are way off. And there's that -7f readout in Clinton [East Junction OK].
There's a whole squad of twisters in that airspace I just know it. Gramaw's around.

White Buffalo, Cheyenne was born in 1862 &
died in June 1929.
He was described in newspaper articles in 1902 as being of striking appearance, as his hair had turned completely white when he was very young. His photo from his Carlisle days, dressed in a suit with a short haircut in the white man's style, shows that to be true. In 1888, when he was 26, he married a full-blood Northern Cheyenne widow. Medicine Woman, who was 30 at the time. She had also been born in Montana as had her parents. On the 1905 Indian Census for their reservation, they had four children listed: Emma White Buffalo, son Receiving Roots, Paul White Buffalo and Pratt White Buffalo - named for the Carlisle School founder. On the 1910 U. S. Federal Census, they are listed with only three of seven surviving children: John White Buffalo, James White Buffalo and Fred White Buffalo. According to the 1910 census, the mother of Medicine Woman also lived with them as well, 76 at the time, widowed and named Siege Woman. Medicine Woman is listed on this census as illiterate, as is her mother. His son, John White Buffalo enlisted for service in World War I. As full blood Cheyenne, both White Buffalo and Medicine Woman received land allotments on the reservation in 1891 in Lincoln Township in present-day Blaine County, Oklahoma. These are listed on several of the Indian Census lists as allotments number 966 and 967. White Buffalo lived to be 67 years old, and passed away on June 23, 1929, per the 1930 Indian census for the reservation. According to his obituary in the Watonga Republican newspaper dated June 27, 1929, he is buried at the Indian Mission Church on the reservation and was survived by his wife and sons ... Absolutely fantastic summer supercell storm structure near Watonga, OK on what is the ultimate lost chase from August 17, 2009. I think three storm chasers total were on this storm and it remains one of my favorite structure/lightning combo chases in 20 years of storm chasing.

Chief Henry Roman Nose (June 30, 1856 – June 12, 1917) was a highly respected Southern Cheyenne Chief. Living during turbulent times, Roman Nose was recognized for facilitating a peaceful transition to a non-nomadic way of life, while retaining elements of his Cheyenne culture.
This Cheyenne war chief was a contemporary of Dull Knife. He was not so strong a character as the other and was inclined to be pompous and boastful, but with all this, he was a true type of Native American in spirit and bravery.
While Dull Knife was noted in warfare among Indians, Roman Nose made his record against the whites in defense of territory embracing the Republican and Arickaree rivers. He was killed on the latter river in 1868 in the celebrated battle with General Forsythe.
As a young warrior, Henry Roman Nose participated in the Red River War. After being captured, he was sent in 1878 to Fort Marion in St. Augustine, Florida, where he was listed as a "ringleader". After release, he attended the Hampton Institute in Virginia and the Carlisle Institute in Pennsylvania. In 1892, he received a land allotment in current-day Blaine County, Oklahoma. This land later became part of the Roman Nose State Park, which was named in his honor.
Henry Roman Nose died in 1917 in the canyon on which Roman Nose State Park was established.
He is depicted in a mural, "Roman Nose Canyon", at United States Post Office Watonga, painted by Edith Mahier in 1941.
