There's been some inconsistencies surrounding when exactly it was that Jack got himself arrested after a trip to Mexico. Some sources claim it happened during the farewell tour in the fall of '68, but here's an article from may of '68. This article places the arrest following a concert in San Diego. It further states that Eric and Ginger had not been in on the shenanigans since they had already travelled to Los Angeles. The reason for that travel, if the dates are accurate, would be the filming of a lyp-synched performance of Anyone For Tennis (and a live performance of Sunshine of Your Love). This would mean that Jack had to go straight from jail and dress up as a cop/ sheriff or whatever they're supposed to be. Oh the irony! I wonder if there's perhaps some symbolism behind his decision to go barefoot?
