You know that time in the comics when the Doctor is so depressed, he shuts off the lights, turns on an interrogation spotlight, locks himself in the console room, and argues with a bunch of judgmental shadow-figures resembling his past incarnations?
And all the TARDIS' lights go out and her interior becomes a maze to keep his companions out of the console room, all from her psychic connection with the Doctor (“moodbleed”)?
And his companions are left wandering in circles for two days as the air goes “stale,” not knowing where he is but thinking the worst, while he hallucinates in a dark room?
...because I'm thinking again about the times this definitely happened when he was with the Ponds.

After three years of living alone and cooking for myself I have gone from being scared of being in the kitchen at the same time as my mother used the oven and only making microwave meals because it was too intimidating to actually cook to scraping off fried egg from a pan directly with my nails not ten seconds after turning the fire off because I didn't want to clean it yet but didn't want it to dry either so 1) look at how far we've come 2) new headcanon that Santa burns himself on that grill because after awhile you really do just unlearn a fear for cooking appliances I guess

kinda eating drywall abt the karlsson trade but it is what it is
i consider it a win in that i didn't lose nick cicek in the trade honestly, which probably says intensely worrisome things about my priorities in the sharks org AND my perception of nick cicek's trade value but. yeah no we got fleeced not only by pittsburgh's most eligible president of hockey ops slash gm AND kent hughes, which is an ego blow on unforeseen and sloppy levels. like my mom could sell me to kyle dubas and i'd be like fine, whatever, but mike grier is a whole ass nhl gm. he should have protective charms in place against that man so i gotta ask. i gotta ask. mikey you good. you good babe??? you need some electrolytes???
congrats to sid crosby for adding another boytoy to his dman harem tho. personally cannot wait to see what happens when karly (mean cat), tanger (evil cat), and gravy (anxious greyhound) get in the same locker room. the sparks...they're flyin

when i mention that i have the most individual MiA fics out of any author on AO3 i am not bragging. mostly i am sad about this. fic scene is very small, total of ~200 works in all languages
i am also always noting that the characters i'm likely to read/write about aren't the same ones as the characters most of the rest of the already-small fic reader and writer scene for The Hole Show is likely to read/write about. so the following results aren't news to me
but i hadn't thought to actually compare character tags for the whole fandom to character tags for my work, and the sheer disparity between 'tags of the fandom' and 'tags of the author who wrote the most individual fics in that fandom' is...funny lol. (left: MiA tag as a whole's most tagged characters; right: ebilfic's most tagged characters

damn. I've had a piercing appointment for next Saturday scheduled for over a month. then I got a call a few days ago and it turns out the piercer won't be in that day, but I could have an appointment with another piercer that day. so I said yes. cool everything's fine then
except I just checked the confirmation email annnd the new appointment is actually with their apprentice 😭
now. I don't have anything against that in any other situation. but I've had a few bad experiences with getting piercings, and especially with piercings not healing well (at least one of those was because the piercer fucked up). soooo. ehhhh. I don't know what to do now.
I've checked and the one I wanted to go to (and who I talked to at the consultation I had) doesn't have any appointments free on any Saturdays at all now. I don't want to go during the week because then I'd have to go alone and I don't trust myself to get home 😭 (I was so out of it after my last cartilage piercing that I really think that would be a very bad idea, since it would be at least one train and two buses to get home).
