*Deep disappointed sigh*
I was thinking that I'll be sitting here at this time, writing about finishing another amazing drama, but instead I'm sitting here, absolutely baffled and beyond dissapointment and confusion.
What the hell just happened? That what what I've asked right after finishing the final episode of DFF. And the worst part is that I will actually never know what had happened.
Honestly, the drama started getting worse in episode 10. That was a whole mess (I've written entire post about it, read HERE ). Episode 11 was good in a terms of what it gave us, but it was at very wrong place. It was truly bad choice for the pre-finale ep, that was supposed to build up the tension for the final ordeal, so this Tee backstory felt anti-climatic.
And today, the finale came and it felt like I clicked on the wrong show. Am I really watching DFF? I asked in disbelief. I just couldn't believe what I saw.
I try to go one by one.
Starting with Fluke. That was actually the part I liked. He was the bywatcher. He just watched. So it was really good choice to let him stab his eyes out. But I hated that he didn't even know about it, since he died (most likely) while still being high on absinth. I HATE the choice of having him die. Him living blind, not being able to be a doctor would be such a great punishment for him.
Top ... Well, first of all, how are you still alive, buddy? But given the amount of people (1) that took way too long to die, I guess people in DFF universe are just slower at dying from very obvisouly fatal wounds. Him killing himself and taking Fluke with him was okay, I guess? I mean we know NOTHING about Top, so how could I know what is in character and what not?
Tee and White. Oh boy. I knew right away that us getting the emotional backstory of Tee is not a gift, it would come in an exchange of an inevitable traumatic experience. But this was not what I expected at ALL. If everything else was perfect, this would fit well. I feel like it's a good scene and great punishment for Tee to live with. ... If we KNEW what happened to Tee... but I'll get to that later.
(also like... White's character is so ... idk, he's just a random, innocent dude, who is there only for the purpose of dying ... not the mention he was really annoying to me at the beginning, like what was that about?)
Now here it comes. Jin. I ... I can't say much, because I think even Tumblr would ban me if I went into detail. Let's just say I did not expected Jin to be horny on main. I still don't understand how Jin was the one who posted the video (we had some evidence it might have been someone else), but if he did or thinks he did, it only makes sense his fear would be related to it. But even so, I think his fear should've been more about him not protecting Non. We know that Jin liked Non and wanted to protect him. So why is his biggest fear everyone knowing he's horny on main? We know from Copper himself that Jin should've been percieved as a good character, but him fearing that what he did to Non happens to him is sort of selfish and absolutely not something I thought about Jin. But let's be honest, bad writing was screwing Jin over since like ep 6 (and it was doing it even harder than Phee) (sorry for this one, I'm leaving the room now).
Now Phee. His fear is obvious and he's the only one getting out of the hallucinations and saving the day. (probably) I didn't understand his momentarily need to save New??? Like buddy, you are in this mess because of him??? But him getting the antidote, saving Jin and then coming back for Tee: amazing, hot, I loved it. Only sad that was like 2 minutes of this tragedy.
New. Oh, New. He was a guy broken beyond repair and I knew he will go. I mostly hoped he would end his life himself after realizing what he did and what happened to Non, but he was too lost for that. But I'm okay with his ending.
FINALLY the holy grail of dissapointment. The ending itself. It suddenly cutting to "2 Years Later" got me thinking That's it??? It didn't even have the shock point, because I was confused the entire time. I was thinking why on earth would you end it like that? Why are PheeJin having happy ending (not that I didn't want it, but not like this, not like this, mate) and why is Tee having the bad ending (really, why?) and like what happened? What did police say? Why we skipped two years ... and suddenly BOOM, they smacked me across my face with that "oh, how did we get out then and why is Non over there?" ending. Like WHAT?
HELLO?
REALLY?
Like you really made me sit through 11 episodes, making my judgement and assumptions about every single character, wanting their ending to be whatever I felt they deserve and instead of giving me the shock, happiness, sadness of what you cooked for them you GIVE ME NOTHING?! OF ALL POSSIBLE CHOICES, YOU GIVE ME NOTHING?!
Is this like write your own ending thing or-? WHY WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE ME HANGING.
Not to mention there are lot of things unexplained.
Was Jin the one who really posted the video? There were lot of contradictions to it.
How on earth did New manage to prepare everything and hurt Por? We just heard it from Phee, who couldn't have possibly known. And some things like weren't adding up, even if we have the hallucinations thing.
What happened to Keng? Like, is he dead? But we never saw the body. Really, what's with him?
Who are the survivors? We might assume Phee, Jin and Tee, but are they? Are they all dead? What happened to them? This was literally why we all were here and we don't even get that answer?
That ending was soooooo anticlimatic and out of place. This kind of ending can work, but in a slasher movie where we don't care about characters that much and we are there just for the blood and murders (A Nightmare on Elm Street does this wonderfully, for example) but not in a drama, where we spent HOURS learning backstories of each character (except Top, like who is he?) and want to know what is their destiny.
It's like if the ending of Harry Potter was Harry and Voldemort about to fight, then cut to the 19 Years Later scene, but Harry sees Voldemort on the platform and then cut to broken Hogwarts and then end credits. Like, nah, that doesn't work.
I don't want to make my or yours suffering any longer that needed, so I will end this here. I'm very sad, very disappointed and very confused. I feel like I was robbed. This drama was so good, but the writing team just gave up somewhere around episode 9. It's like when I think of good plot for a fic, but don't come up with the ending and have to write just whatever to not leave it open.
Yep, thank you for reading this. The best part about this drama was without the doubt being able to share my thoughts and theorize with everyone. Thank you guys for it.
Special thanks goes to my beloved friends @tbhimnoteasyonmyself @ayansbff @jeffsatursgender and @toonstuna, who were watching each episode along with me and today (and not just today, for like past month and half) were very nice, kind and patient to listen to me ranting about everything for hours (as they were all ranting themselves). Love you all, guys, really <3
Thank you everyone who has been through this with me. Hopefully next time we will meet again at something less disappointing.
Baya!

DFF Finale
Not with a bang, not a whimper but somewhere in the middle.
My thoughts are jumbled and all over the place, I came in the finale already spoiled (I couldn't wait and the gray sites are taking too long) and I am not even sure I will still feel 100% like this by the time the week is out.
Ultimatly I agree a lot with what @lurkingshan says in her post here
A lot of the episode was good: The hallucinations were amazing, and I think the character work in all of them (and the series in general, with only some minor hiccups) is very solid. The acting is also very good. I want to see these boys in more roles. The writing from Ep 1 to Ep 9 was AMAZING!! The reveals are all super hard hitting, it felt like there was fire after fire for every episode.
White my baby, a tragic character if there ever was one, HE WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE, his boyfriend was basically seeing him as replacement Non since they started dating. We all loved and clowned on this character so hard!! A lot of White's character makes sense in hindsight, at least to me who is like 5 weeks in a couple of layers of theorizing and obessing (I do realize not everyone feels like that a lot of what makes sense for me it's speculation driven by weeks of obsession), even some of the other more baffling moments, like the converstation with Tan and that moment with Phee.
Problems started at EP 10, and while I loved the Tee and TeeWhite scenes of EP 11 thanks to episode 10 they felt way to disconnected and too late. It left the last 3 episodes less focused and the pacing a mess.
And then there is the ending. And while this is by no means the worse ending of a BL I ever seen, and this show is by no means the biggest dissapointment I ever had (that's still Only Friends). I don't think the ending was as strong as it should be.
I think the failure of DFF for me is in two places:
The focus on mystery and reveals primed the audience to expect answears or at least an ending that is more clear then what we got.
The way they did this open ending gave me the impression that they just refused to pick an ending and so they went with "both and none and who knows".
There were ways to make an ending with still some questions left open work: Give me the cops in the house, or show us the bodies as Phee comes out of the hallucination and gives his final breath. Show the bodies in different positions, show the ax in someone's body and no New. Or even have the ending be a journalist talking at the screen keeping up with the layers of voyerism to the story and have them describe only 7 bodies but not say who survive so the audience can pick the option they like best.
Anything that would have given the impression that they actually PICKED an ending.
I am not sure I will be able to re-watch this, I am scared too many things will start to fall apart if I do. While I enjoyed clowing with the fandom and truly loved watching this live (and it has helped me interacting more with people on tumblr) I can't help but feel like maybe if I had binged this, without having time to think over some of the stuff I probably would have enjoyed the finale better.
Maybe I should just be happy that a BL I was hyperfixating on didn't crush and burn like the other two (Shadow and Only Friends).
I am happy BOC experimented and branced out even if they didn't totally sticked the landing, it's a worth while show to watch if you can handle horror. I want BLs to do more stuff like that (experimenting and branching out in different genres) and I want the people in the cast to have a long carrear because I think they mostly all did an amazing job.
In short great job BOC (even if you didn't land all that well at the end there) now give me a poly series: 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪

My Running Thoughts on DFF (Episodes 1-4)
Just started and caught up with DFF, thoughts from my watch for episodes 1-4 are below
Episode 1
Okay but people not hearing from someone is kind of the definition of disappeared
"Don't over think it he probably just moved" lol very comforting
Okay why are you smoking with asthma--I assume this will be related to how he dies, you better keep your inhaler on you at all times when the horrors start
Hmmm some relationship red flags from this guy
Lol our killer getting a bit handsy lol, but what are the actual logistics of that?
Throws cigarette over the railing, starts a fire, end of show--it's all a PSA: only YOU can prevent forest fires
Tumblr media
Lol did he just bite his dick to make a point 😂 That's right stand your ground, bite his dick!
Okay so is this a real person or supernatural? Cause the hand and now only one person is hearing weird things. I wonder if there will be a trend of the newbies not hearing or seeing things for a while
Owww. Well the murder got right to the point--the stick kind
I don't know anatomy that well but why is there blood in his mouth? I mean I'll let it slide since it's a trope but I'm still wondering
I think we should split up 😅
Poor guy hasn't even started lessons yet and now he has to deal with tree impalement. Oh good, yeah he's right don't pull it out
Some good delegation from Phee (? still learning names)
Okay that's so not where you're going to find jumper cables ...Okay I was wrong but it certainly wouldn't be where I'd look
Maybe one of you just take the motorcycle? Seems like less of a waste of time, cause it'll take at least 10 minutes to jump that truck...
Oh good, but they should've done that before wasting time finding cables
Oh walkie talkies or radio smart
Who keeps a saw in their kitchen?
Team bike is not doing well lol
Wait so the murderer did try something, enough to cut his arms, crazy that they figured that out just like that though
Okay so it is supernatural maybe cause they aren't seeing it at the same time. I guess it could be hallucinations but it's so consistent
Oh brave to try and bring the bike back still
Wait are they holding off on what they saw in the video till next week or did I just miss it, I'm very good at missing more subtle jump scares but then jumping at stuff that wasn't supposed to be scary
Oh wow they actually used a busted bike for shooting, love that, truly delightful
Love that they give us these behind the scenes it's a nice reprieve from the spooky spooky. It reminds me of something I read on tumblr about how blooper reels serve a similar role to curtain calls for tragedies, they let us know that the actors are okay after all and it's all a show. I will now take all horror with bloopers please! sincerely, a resident scaredy cat
Alright I enjoyed that even if I won't sleep tonight, that mask is so well done and I'm starting to get a feel for the characters
Episode 2
Wait does iqiyi only have this tagged as romance 😳
Ah yes separate from the group that's smart
This is why you don't go off on your own in a horror show, and your even one of the ones convinced it's supernatural man
The masked man: Can you give me directions please, I seem to be lost
Oh wait I'm bad at faces it's the other guy, but also still stupidly alone
I know you're alone but maybe try and fight back
So will the axe be gone and no one believes him or will someone find it later in horror?
Lol he's seeking revenge cause he's upset you tried to film a sequel, don't mess with a writer 🤣
"Thai ghosts can do anything"...Oh interesting that they're making that explicit distinction. If my understanding is right, thai phee can be physical and there's less of a distinction between corporeal vs incorporeal, ghost vs monster. So they're setting the possible stakes and genre. This is a western style slasher but if it is supernatural we'll likely be operating on thai rules for that not western ghost stories. Heck it might mean that this is both physical and supernatural.
Guys, I don't think getting rid of evidence is going to make a ghost move on from its attachments
Ooof that's more than a little rash ouch. Oh not real. So if they're hallucinating it's not just the old group
Interesting to phrase it as "beat him"--so was it self defense in the past or maybe they see it as justified?
Ouch is right my poor ears
Okay physical knife but hallucinated choking. I like that they're playing with whether this is a person or supernatural. It totally fits with the emphasis on this potentially being a thai ghost. Cause it's hard not to waver back and forth.
Is it still not noon yet? Like I assume that'll fall through anyway but still, will the plot all happen in like two days? Interesting if so
All he said was he heard a sound, why are you asking if he saw someone? Suspicious me thinks
Ah really un-suspicious doc
Okay but 2 guys there were also around 3 years ago, you just gave your plan to find the drive first away...
I'm confused why Jin doesn't want it destroyed
Oooh punchout, fight fight fight
Well I knew the uncle wouldn't make it but goodness gracious 🤣
Okay I know it's supposed to be scary but I laughed when he was still handing them the bags
Wow seriously just abandon everyone including your boyfriend, you're on my shit list now
Also you didn't check that you were past the wire when you rode off
Okay Top, but you and Tee literally have encountered the thing before why are you acting like Tee is ridiculous for saying he saw and heard someone
Oh good job you do care a little even if you're going to lie your ass off about it--you're still on my shit list, Tee
Ghosts don't use wire, but like Thai ones could technically, but I guess that's a lot of extra work when you could do anything else as a ghost. I'm really liking how it's playing that line. Is this supernatural? Is it a slasher? What type of horror is this? We don't know yet, the characters certainly don't either.
Did the uncle's body just move?
The end song is very pretty, not what I'd choose for a horror show but it is a nice safe wind down from the scary
Episode 3
Really liking Ta's acting here, it's obviously a bigger role but he's standing out way more to me than in KinnPorsche
Okay I know we are upset about trust issues, but saying Top shouldn't go alone is smart actually you dumb asses
Sure you can set up the walkie talkies to communicate but then anyone can listen in if they know what channel you tune it to, so watch out
Oh yes let White go get the other walkie talkie alone
Ummm shouldn't you still have it tuned to the outside and try it as you drive out to see if you can reach anyone
I feel bad for the guys who are new. Unless they're in on it. Tan is pretty persistent
I do like that we as the audience are as curious as the newbies about what the heck happened in the past, it's a nice way to draw us in and give that past stakes beyond just a motivation reveal
Okay thank you, no touching or concealing bodies thank you. But good point about attracting animals
Okay yeah his body did move
I don't know why that attack felt so cartoonish, not in a bad way just visually it read that way to my brain
Oh Top is gone...dramatic!
Nice that they want to go after him but also how do they expect to catch up with a bike
Wait weren't they leaving, how'd he get back so fast?
Okay so only Top saw it, so is it supernatural or are more people in on it. Tan, I have my eye on you
Lol that's a big temple to just be hiding, spooky though
I want to know more about this Janta. Is it supposed to be a buddhist sect or older practices? Feels like it fits a trend I've noticed of older folk practices being framed as spooky in thai horror but my sample size is small and my context still pretty limited
Duuude great doctor over here, trying to shut up the dying guy. Have you killed before Fluke? Huh?
Interesting how their desire to hide the past keeps making them go against what would be best for survival, like telling white to go somewhere else
Yay white being smart and polite to the deceased! He best live
I think this is the first time I've seen them carrying weapons/defense of any kind. Hope they use it
Oh God how bad is this going to be? That is a lot of blood
Well he's not on the ceiling. After watching both Shutter and Nang Nak the possibility is totally there
I wonder what the writing says
Wait was that a statue or a mummy
Lol aware of the genre now, let's not split up, a little late, but good job guys
Wait one of them is named Phee, I'm guessing it's intonated differently but still an interesting choice
Ah here comes smoking with asthma, still betting that fucks him over when his inhaler is stolen or something
Wait who asked about the smell, cause White doesn't seem to be sniffing or anything
White being a little princess and the pea over here, good for him, I'm putting my bet on him for final girl. White for final girl 2024!
Oh boy what they absolutely don't need is a gun in this situation, I see it helping for defense but also being ripe for so much to go wrong
Lol the sudden flash back scared me more than the axe throwing scare earlier. My ability to miss jump scares but jump at random shit instead prevails
Okay good hide that sucker, no one needs to know you have a gun until the pivotal moment you use it to save yourself
Okay it was the dudes at the shrine who asked about the smell
Wow these guys are so unobservant pffff, let's all pay no attention while the axe guy just walks right up to us
Okay they all see it this time, so unless it's Top in there the rest are accounted for I think
Glad they're fighting back physically this time
Tumblr media
I mean maybe try a few more swings before running, 4 on 1 you could maybe get the mask off
Maybe wait on opening the drive, White, cause I feel like doc is going to come looking for you soon
Oh doc is scary, hope White hid that in time
I don't feel like hiding in a confined axeable space is the smartest choice
Ah saved by another idiot
Locked in a casket by your own stupidity. I think they should kiss about it.
Oh did he already sew the wound? Not sure the logistics on that when it's a stab wound
Okay these two are stupid, like there was so much time to run while axe guy just slowly walks
Okay but axe guy on the motor bike is such a funny image...WEEEEEEE
Interesting, so does axe guy not want the disk shown or is he after doc now
So not abandoning White this time, how gallant
No but White is right you best sterilize things
Doc is losing it
And the gun comes out at the worst time
Okay so mask reveal, interesting
Will we actually get to know so early?! It's got to be a twist. Cause if it's Top under there then there's definitely more to it
Episode 4
Fluke's lost it
Is he going to force white to do the sewing?!
Boy you better sanitize that needle
Oof did not want to see the stitching, but at least doc did it himself
He's bleeding in his abdominal cavity AND you just used unsanitized equipment so he's probably going to get a nasty infection
Ah the romance of being locked in a box. I think the oxygen problem could be resolved by kissing actually
Again? Did he dislocated his arm in the past or something
Not going to try and snap it back in, probably smart I guess
What ghost or human could lift a person like that, well it's got to be one or the other guys
Wait I'm pretty sure those were the pants Top was wearing
Yeah okay kind of suspected but how does that work?
And does that mean he's headed to help or harm White
Oh now a ghost? And not in a mask so a real spirit this time, unless it's hallucinations? So I'm guessing multiple things are happening at once in terms of the attackers.
Again only one person seeing it
Omg did this fool just pull a "I'm not lost the woods are just cursed" 😂 going to pull that one out next time I don't want to admit I'm lost. Not all who wander are lost, some are just stuck in cursed woods where they shot a horror film and are now being hunted down for real.
They literally went a foot before spotting the house
I see they brought the supplies the uncle bled all over inside
Why is a random newspaper with tee's uncle sitting there, seems very planted. Did Fluke put it there?
Oh God is that foreshadowing is there something in his stomach
Did Top poison himself or was he forced?
He probably shouldn't become a doctor if he's complaining over two patients
Looks like some clay can but that's cursory search. Oh he learned it from detective conan how cute if this wasn't life or death
Bleeding eyes seems to be a thing
Why are they using a hair dryer on the clay and not like the oven
Hmmm maybe try the oven before waiting till the sun comes out!
Dun dun dun
Possession? Or has Top just lost it?
Oh no! Friend on friend violence! We're one man down now
Okay but why now? Por has been dying just fine until now. And the killer seems pretty well planned. So I don't think Top is the actual one behind anything. I mean I guess he could've faked the poisoning but again why kill him now? Cause wouldn't it be better to go after White who saw the tape?
I mean no one checked it was loaded so I guess it makes sense it wouldn't be shooting bullets
I'm not convinced it's just Top being a maniac, I still think there's a supernatural component or at least more going on
Ruh roh it is loaded after all what did I say about bad things happening if you throw a gun into the mix
White love you bud but you are being super unhelpful right now
It looked more like he was trying to shoot himself
Good job White atta boy!
Tumblr media
Oh fluke looks so sad...
And then there were 7 (or 8 I guess if we have an extra person running around after all)
I do like that because this is a show and not a film we get their moment of grief and that's given space 😔
Now doc has no patients (too soon?)
Ahhh poor doc, that's a lot before you've even had your training, wouldn't blame him if he switched majors (allowing he stays alive and all)
Yes for goodness sake tie him up, though I'm guessing he'll be back to normal and it's not the end, that or he's gone already
How'd these idiots get locked in the shrine, you were outside before, go around
Wait who was on the walkie?
Dude I think getting out is way more important than your resume, though I guess if you think it's over
The comparison and contrast between Top losing it supernaturally (or hallucinating idk) and fluke losing it cause of the past and his anxiety over the future
Ah the joys of youth, friendship, and threatening each other with a gun in a cabin
Dang dude
Once again fear of the past is making them choose to screw themselves over, mostly Fluke here, but yeah
Dude you have alibis and CCTV footage, you'll be fine (i mean you won't cause it's definitely not over but yeah)
Top making a hilariously dramatic re-entrance
And then there were 6? 7 I guess if we still assume there's an extra person. If the shot actually landed. Maybe doc just got himself a new patient instead
Oh looking forward to seeing Non and a non-passed-out Por next week!

DFF Ending Scenarios
Since we’re closing in on the last 2 eps of DFF, I have a couple of scenarios of how I would want this series to end. I’ll be elaborating on them below.
I don’t necessarily think DFF will end in any of these ways, but it’s always fun to speculate... And later see how wrong I was...
1st scenario
My 1st scenario is that the truth about what happened to Non comes out as everyone in the house kills each other off, except White who lives to tell the tale.
And since I feel like we need a twist at the end, it could be that White is related to Keng somehow. In trying to find out what happened to Keng, White (who is the smartest kid here) found Non, helped Non escape from Tee’s uncle (leading the uncle to mysteriously die), and now they’re working together to find out what happened to Keng (even though I think he’s dead).
That could be why White is with Tee, since Tee seems to be sitting on all the answers.
And the reason Non hasn’t reached out to anyone after his escape might be because he doesn’t expect his parents to help him (or they’re already dead), he doesn’t care about the “friends” (because why would he?), he didn’t contact Phee because Phee told him to get lost and die, and he was never really close with his brother (and might think he’s still in England).
How likely is it that this will happen? Not very. But, when it comes to White, I feel like he’s more involved than he seems, so he might have an ulterior motive. But it remains to be seen what that is.
2nd scenario
My 2nd scenario end is that White and Tan/New are working together (without Phee knowing) because White is somehow related to Keng (perhaps a brother) and both of them want to find their family members.
Tan might’ve sensed that he could no longer trust Phee to help him (understandable), so he tried to find someone from Keng’s family to help him and, by doing so, found White.
Or, perhaps White searched for Non’s family to find out if they knew where Keng and Non had gone and, thereby, White found Tan.
Even though White acts innocent and naive, he might go to great lengths to find out what happened to Keng for a similar reason Tan wants to find out what happened to Non. Perhaps Keng was the only family White had, and so, he lost everything when he lost Keng, similar to Tan losing everything.
The only difference between them is that Tan was, from the beginning, going to be the one who did all the “dirty work” to protect White from it, so that White could still claim his innocence later on.
And Tan is also the one who manipulates Phee to continue gathering info from Jin (even though Tan is willing to deal with Phee as soon as he becomes useless to Tan’s plans).
Also, instead of killing off everyone, they spare the key witnesses of what happened to Non and how he was treated (Tee and Fluke) and the person who exposed Keng (Jin, who might’ve been saved by Phee when someone tried to kill him) to serve them up to the police.
As the police do forensics at the house and surrounding area, they find evidence of the drug as well as Non who has been hiding nearby after escaping from Tee’s uncle. He’s badly hurt, but alive.
Tan is then arrested for what he’s done, but he’s content in finally having found his brother and doesn’t mind paying for his actions.
Again, the likelihood of White being more involved than he seems is quite high. But the likelihood of these many characters making it out alive is (hopefully) low. I mean, it’s supposed to be horror.
3rd scenario
My 3rd scenario is that they’re all just hallucinating this whole thing and no one is actually dead. Tan/New and Phee might’ve chained them down (way better than they did with Top who easily came loose) and drugged them to get to the truth.
Tan and Phee might be suggesting scenarios to the group when they’re high, which makes them think that what’s happening is actually true, and they start to confess their sins.
How likely is it that this will happen? Not very. But it is possible since they’ve introduced the drugs.
This isn’t my favorite scenario. Especially not since this is supposed to be horror and an ending like this wouldn’t be as satisfying for me considering the genre.
4th scenario
My 4th scenario is that Fluke kills all the remaining characters and then covers it all up (maybe with the whole curse or cult thing, or nothing at all since he “never” sees or hears anything).
This might've actually been his plan all along (his own revenge plan). Perhaps as a revenge for what they did no Non (since Fluke might've been able to see himself in Non's shoes). I mean, he did seem rather nervous in the car ride there (he even threw up).
And if it comes up that Non is still alive, Fluke, wanting to redeem himself for not helping him before, finds Non and helps him now.
And then (because I'm delulu) it turns out they used to have a thing for each other but Fluke was too afraid the others in the group would find out (and start treating him the way they did Non).
But now, with all the others gone, he can finally be himself and spend the rest of his life trying to make Non forgive him
How likely is this? Absolutely, ZERO fucking percent. No question about it. But I would LMFAO if it turned out this way
5th scenario
My 5th scenario is that Non and Phee have been working together all along ever since Phee told him to always tell him the truth. They planned their revenge on the group and the destruction of Tee’s uncle (since Non was already in debt at that point) like a masterful screenplay.
Tan and White might also be in on this (especially if White is Keng’s brother). The plan was just to spook these mofos (or fafos, cuz, you know...) and watch them self-destruct without getting their own hands dirty (well, except Tan drugging them all).
And so, everyone in the group of “friends” dies and the survivors can either blame it on the cult or curse or the drugs, which they could argue everyone was willing to take (and since they have video evidence of the group doing drugs before, this won’t be a surprise).
Or they can have Phee’s dad and the police cover it up (because we all know the authorities are corrupt as fuck).
And then it ends with Non and Phee being victorious over Non’s tormentors and Non spends the rest of his life writing stories that have HIS name on them.
How likely is this? Well, I think some of it is possible. But there are some holes in this scenario.
6th scenario
My 6th scenario is that the only ones surviving the house are Phee and Jin. And, as they leave the chaos of the house, they find Non in hiding nearby, badly injured after he escaped (and killed) Tee’s uncle.
Driven by guilt of what they did to Non, and the relief of finding him alive, Phee and Jin vow to never leave Non again, ending with them living happily ever after as a threesome. And so, my lovely chemistrying trifecta is complete!
I’m delulu here, aren’t I?
7th scenario
My 7th scenario is that Keng is the actual masked person at the house (the one using the crutch, which is different from the one in the hallucinations). Since he was hit by a car, his injuries make sense.
And, so, Keng aimed to kill everyone there but held back when he saw how self-destructive they were. Or, perhaps he just wanted to figure out who made and posted the video to kill that specific person.
Either way, he makes sure every last one of them dies and no one would ever suspect him because, according to the authorities, Keng is already nowhere to be found.
Honestly, the only thing that makes sense here is that Keng might be the masked person at the house considering the crutch and limp and how he was hit by a car. But I doubt he’s still alive (unless he was the one who killed Tee’s uncle).
8th scenario
My 8th scenario is that everyone dies. And then the genre to which this series is connected is fulfilled and the series would live up to its name.
A series promoted as horror that ends with too many people alive and well and living happily ever after is a big failure in my eyes.
9th scenario
The 9th scenario (and the last one because I need to move on) is probably the one I see as the most possible of all my scenarios. Let’s first point out a few things that are key for this to be plausible:
Non escaped from Tee’s uncle and is injured but alive.
There is a masked person at the house, probably Non (since Tan/New saw someone in the 2nd ep that then left without doing anything, probably because Non was surprised seeing his brother there).
Keng is White’s brother and guardian, meaning that White lost everything when Keng disappeared.
So, let’s dive into this.
Non escaped from Tee’s uncle before the events at the house (considering the newspaper article that seems to state that the uncle is dead). Non hasn’t contacted any of the others to tell them he’s okay, because he still believes everyone abandoned him.
He’s been in hiding ever since the escape (perhaps near that house) biding his time and planning his revenge. Perhaps his initial victim was just Por (since Non probably still sees Por as the biggest bully of them all since he stole Non's screenplay) and that’s why he’s hiding near that house.
However, when he saw all of them come back, he decided to go back to the script he wrote. And since there is definitely one masked person different from the others (the one using a cutch and limping), that could be Non.
But, after Por accidentally ran into the stake, killing them might've become too real for Non, and so he decided to observe and scare them rather than kill them (which could explain the bathroom scene with Top as well, because I feel like Non would’ve killed him then and there if his motive was to kill everyone).
On the other side, Tan, Phee, and White are working together to find out what happened to Non (for White, finding out what happened to Non means there’s a big possibility of finding out what happened to Keng).
The reason Phee ratted on Tan was because it makes more sense to the others that the two of them are working together considering they’re going to the same school (White doesn't). And it would let White continue to work under the radar and keep his hands clean.
It might be that White (who always finds things and figures them out, btw), had already gotten close to his target (Tee) before he realized who Tan was.
And the reason White targeted Tee was because he knew Keng had tried to expose Tee’s uncle’s criminal organization before he disappeared (he might’ve found this out from the reporter Keng was in contact with).
But it might not have taken White very long to realize Tan was a cover for Non’s brother when he started hanging out with the group, and then he reached out to Tan so they could work together to find out what happened. And so, this trio was established (even though they're keeping up appearances that they're not too familiar with each other in case the others would overhear).
Since White has a talent for technology, he helped with some vital things. He might’ve traced that video of Non and Keng back to Jin (which could be a reason Phee was so adamant about getting close to Jin again after hurting his feelings, because it's clear that neither he nor Tan knew this before Phee slept with Jin).
White might’ve also been the one who set up the cameras and stuff Phee talked about when he “confessed” to Jin so that they could use that as evidence later on.
Their plan was just to get the others to confess their sins. And if something bad happened, Tan was willing to take the blame because he’d already lost everything (which is why it makes sense that Phee exposed Tee/New after things were getting even more out of hand).
But, whatever happened at the house, they needed to make sure that:
They were drugged and hallucinating.
Phee got close to Jin again (Non’s biggest betrayer).
And that White could be used as a way to get Tee (the one with almost all the answers) to tell the truth.
What they didn’t expect, though, was the actual masked person on site. Tan (who is the least likely to hallucinate since he has the antidote) even saw a masked person in ep 2 for a short moment before they disappeared (probably because Non was surprised to see his brother there).
Also, if Tan were to hallucinate, he would see Non as he is (as we’ve already seen in ep 9) and not some masked person. So, there’s definitely at least one more person around.
What happened to Por and the uncle on the scooter was unexpected for the trio (and it might be why the trio agreed to investigate with the others to find out what was going on at the house), but it still played into their plan, causing the others to go into self-destruction mode.
And since they are in self-destruction mode, the trio just stands by and watches it unfold, sometimes adding stuff to the conversation to steer it in the direction they want.
So, I definitely think that Fluke will be killed (perhaps by Tee) and then Tee will be killed after the trio has gotten all the answers they need from him. But, not until after he finds out that White is Keng’s brother.
(This last part is mainly because I was disappointed that we never got the chance to see Por react to finding out Top was actually the one who broke the camera and that Tee helped him cover it up.)
And, then, lastly is Jin. I’m not sure he will be killed. Instead, there might be a moment at the house when everything has come out in the open and Tan is ready to kill Jin (since he, most likely, sees Jin as Non’s biggest betrayer).
But before he has the opportunity to kill Jin, the masked person enters the house, removes the mask, and it’s revealed that it’s Non, alive but chronically injured (the limp).
As soon as Jin sees Non, he begs Non for forgiveness. Non agrees because he thinks that killing Jin would be too easy of a punishment for what he did.
Phee, being so relieved to see Non alive, drops everything to be by his side, having forgiven him long ago.
Then, the survivors can blame all the deaths on the drugs that made them go bonkers, which they could argue everyone was willing to take (and since they have video evidence of the group doing drugs before, this won’t be a surprise).
Or they can have Phee’s dad and the police cover it up (because we all know the authorities are corrupt as fuck).
Or Tan could be willing to take the blame for it all and doesn’t mind going to prison considering he did what he had to to find out what happened to Non, which he did.
Jin might also go to prison for the video (if the trio + Non decides to turn him in). Or they could let him go so he could move to America.
And then Non gets to write as many stories as he wants, all with HIS name on them.
As I mentioned before, I feel like this could be the most likely one of all my scenarios. If it actually turns out to be this way, though, is doubtful.
For one, the masked person with a limp might be Keng instead (since he was hit by a car) and he might’ve been the one that put up the wire and made sure Por “accidentally” ran into the stake (the latter, perhaps, because Keng wanted to redeem himself for what he did to Non).
And if this is the case, Keng might be nursing Non back to health in a place near the house, since I feel like Non would be affected by his time in the criminal organization on several levels (mentally, emotionally, physically, etc.)
Or, it could be that they’re both taking turns being the masked person in the house (because I don't think the masker person Tan saw on the stairs had a limp).
But other than this, I feel like:
The trio working together makes sense (even though it might be a bit predictable).
That Phee is getting closer to Jin again to get more info also makes sense (especially since he called the other assholes their “friends” and that whole scene just gave me the feeling Phee was manipulating Jin).
That Non is alive makes sense to me because Sammon is one of the writers of this series, and she’s no stranger to faking the deaths of her characters or killing them off (some over and over and over again...).
The possibility that Keng is still alive is possible. And instead of going to the authorities (because they’re corrupt as fuck), Keng killed Tee’s uncle to save Non (again, perhaps to redeem himself) and then nursed him back to health before they went to the house to set in motion another revenge plan.
How likely is it that Phee will dump Jin and go back to Non, though? Probably zero since I feel like most bl creators would rather surrender to the shipping culture than give us the unexpected or something that could be more satisfying to the actual story.
But if I just go off of what I’ve seen in the series so far, I still believe it’s possible that Phee will dump Jin as soon as he sees Non alive. This is based on a feeling I have about these relationships…
The relationship between Phee and Non felt like actual love (especially from Phee’s side since Non is more guarded, probably based on previous experiences) while Phee and Jin’s relationship is more sexual (which is fine by me, btw) and somewhat manipulative (which is not fine by me, btw). Oh, and let's not forget it’s based on a lie!
And my biggest hope here is that Phee will keep his word to Non and forgive him (since he told Non he would forgive Non if Non got lost and died, which he, kind of, did).
But I’m doubtful that everything in this scenario of mine will happen. One or two aspects, maybe… Either way, I can’t wait to find out how this will end.

February 2024 Movies/Shows Wrap-Up
A little monthly (spoilery!) wrap-up of all the shows, movies, and shorts I’ve watched or am watching in February 2024, general thoughts, and ranking of them all.
Recommendation of the month(s): Honestly, this month involved me watching BLs which brought something new to the table (omegaverse, fantasy & thai legends, isekai-ed into a game, lawyers and crime) but none of them stood out to me as much as I’d hoped (my greatest wish is stronger, more coherent scriptwriting). Recommendation is try whichever concept seems most appealing.
Ranking
Pit Babe = The Sign = Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Love For Love's Sake = Midnight Runners (2017) = Laws of Attraction (2023)
Average Rating: 6.25/10 [unfortunate that I just for 6 and 6.5s considering I was hoping for more from Pit Babe/The Sign/Laws of Attraction]
MDL Updates - Added to Watchlist:
A section because I’m curious about how many shows I decide to add to my Watch List a month and also the ratio of watching them:adding them.
Title MDL (year) - (date added to Considering or To Watch): initial reaction
Love for Love's Sake (2024): Positive reception and Cha Woongki is in it
Marry My Dead Body (2022) - 240202: I was watching Certified Noonas What's Coming Up in Feb 2023 and came across this, Taiwanese movie where dude marries a (male) ghost
Pit Babe (2023) - 240207: omegaverse racing show wouldn't necessarily draw me in but some Tiktoks I saw of eps 1-2 (esp of Charlie woahhh beautiful boy, I even reblogged on here which I very rarely do for shows I haven't watched yet) were interesting + lately, I've been seeing a lot of praise for it (esp that week when apparently Last Twilight Ep 12 disappointed a lot of people but had a really good episode for this show)
A Shop for Killers (2024) - 240210: I saw it on the Certified Noonas coming up in January I think? But I also saw it getting good impressions on the r/kdrama on-air threads + pocha playlist's initial impression + it has Lee Dong Wook, even though it's not like I watch all his shows or anything
A Killer Paradox (2024) - 240210: Been waiting for this since literally 2023 after I watched Strangers From Hell and saw in Certified Noonas' 2023 releases that it was from the same director + is an interesting concept
My Personal Weatherman (2023) - 240215: I don't know, maybe I just wanna see their dubcon bad bdsm dynamic. also, i keep reblogging horny gifsets cuz there are plenty for this show...
The Sign (2024) - 240215: The finale still isn't properly available yet so I don't really know how people will feel about the end but oh well, I'm gonna end up watching it either way because of how much people have been loving it
Chaser Game W (2024): Another Japanese GL and apparently it has toxic-ish workplace romance + post-breakup second chance romance yay. Also, the tweet where one of the characters is like “I’m a lesbian” *thunder* is hilarious
A Little Romance/Let's Wait for the Rain to Stop (2022) - 240219: A 14-minute Chinese bromance short from this tiktok that I saw
Dead Friend Forever - DFF (2024): I’ve been meaning to watch this since like ep 1 came out and I learned it was supposed to be horror-esque/slasher and seems like people have been loving it even more these past few eps. I’m actually so excited to check it out, I hope I love it and it rots my brain.

Love for Love's Sake (2024)
Country: South Korea
Release Dates: Jan 24, 2024 - Feb 1, 2024
Watch Via: paid, so :>
Watch Dates: Feb 1 - 2, 2024
Rating: 6/10
Overall Impression: It was cute, the concept was nice, the early 2 eps were Very promising and last ep was touching but the middle (esp 5-6) was quite meh for me. There was also a bunch of confusing stuff, esp in the second half, but I guess I won't try to investigate too much. It has people really talking and discussing and dissecting it though, which is a fun aspect.

Midnight Runners (2017)
Country: South Korea
Release Dates: Aug 9, 2017
Watch Via: Tubi (free)
Watch Dates: Feb 3, 2024
Rating: 6/10
Overall Impression: I came in with expectations of copaganda and bromance. Got the copaganda (I mean the real cops were useless af but) and bromance, as well at annoyance at these male-led shows with female victims where the story is solely about the men and they just dilly-dally through it all like why are you not upright enough to be like oh, I shouldn't waste time getting my ears cleaned by pretty girl rn, there's a 7-hour critical timeframe we were taught about, chop chop. Anyway, they were still passionate and did it, so good job but this really was just more about a male power fantasy of being the hero and beating up people and being the "saviour" because it was just about them 2 doing anything and we don't even get a moment of the girls after rescue and like 1 minute of them total before that. I can enjoy these sorts of action movies and like a good fight scene but I think I can be really averse to using crimes against women while centering men in the show (Midnight Runners, fuckass Manner of Death). I love Beyond Evil though, even though 2 male main characters were the focus in this story where a serial killer is killing women but I think that story maybe that story 1) properly showed the gravity of the crime against the women and 2) there wasn't a scene like the ear-cleaning parlor in this one and the sex scene in Manner of Death after they got that important laptop where I was supposed to either find it funny or sexy that they were doing this instead of focusing on the fucking investigation.
Agh, so many words and half of them aren't even about this movie
Laws of Attraction (2023)
Country: Thailand
Release Dates: Jul 15, 2023 - Sep 2, 2023
Watch Via: paid, so :>
Watch Dates: Feb 3 - 6, 2024
Rating: 6/10
Overall Impression: I really liked To Sir, With Love which was a lakorn and so was different than every other BL I've watched and was hoping I'd similarly love this one, which is also bringing something unique to the BL table. It started off really well for me, I thought Charn was such a fun (morally corrupt) character and was intrigued about what was going on. I liked the lesbians Maya and Rose as well ofc. However, I think toward ep 7 and 8, it kinda became very meh for me (that warehouse live stream scene not counting) because the mystery was too predictable/boring and thus had no tension, people kept making incredibly stupid decisions, and I wasn't attached to the characters enough to care/be emotional about all the wedding stuff. Nawin was a great addition in ep 7 though, so unexpected and fun. Unfortunate that the meh impression ended up being the last ones since that sticks with me more than liking it in the earlier eps.

Pit Babe
Country: Thailand
Release Dates: Nov 17, 2023 - Feb 9, 2024
Watch Via: iQiyi (paid, so :>)
Watch Dates: Feb 7 - 11, 2024
Rating: 6.5/10
Overall Impression: This show had everything: non-traditional alpha/alpha relationship, racecar competitions, x-men like superpowers, child trafficking, pseudo-incest if you think about it (from Kenta's side at least), and more. And it didn't have a super strong script, there were nonsensical elements and plot holes that didn't get addressed and things that happened to just move the plot along, but it was a fun watch nonetheless, both for the novelty and the entertainment factor. Babe was a very compelling character with his past and how he behaves in the present and his relationships with Tony/Way/people in general. Also helped that Pavel did a really good job with him and acted his ass off, there were quite a few emotional moments in there. I agree with some people's comments that I wish Charlie's actor Pooh as a better actor. And his character wasn't as developed or with depth as the other ones either, like in terms of emotions I guess. Although I really liked Charlie/Babe, my true ship winners might be Pete/Kenta in a Not Me ToddBlack fashion, to be honest, with Kenta as maybe my favourite character (2nd is Babe). They gave us like 2 tiny hints that they might know each other and waited until literally last 10 mins of episode 11 out of 13 to lay out their history. They have an interesting friends (-> brothers/crush) -> enemies -> allies again at the very end dynamic where I think that they could become lovers post-canon. Really had me writing a fic idea in my notes app after my few months of no drive to write.

240215: I'm not starting Only Friends already because I wanna take some time to write my Pete Babe fic and if I start a new show, I'll stop writing it. However, I was in dire need of some BL and ended up rewatching just bits of Ghost Host Ghost House ep 4 after I saw a gifset on here, then watched like 2 mins of Bed Friend cat Uea and then Eps 13 - 15 of Addicted Heroin. Man, once again, 2016 Addicted Heroin cutoff must've actually been so fucking tragic. Like I'm only rewatching parts of it nearly a decade later + watched the Stay With Me remake and still it's devastating the way it just ends, I can't imagine how people who were watching it in real time coped. How has nobody leaked it even asdfghjkl Also ended up reading chapters 96 - 135 because I was like hm maybe I wanna read more but the book is A Lot, so stopped lol
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
Country: USA
Release Dates: June 7, 2005
Watch Via: TV
Watch Dates: Feb 19, 2024
Rating: 6.5/10
Overall Impression: This is fun and finally I will understand what people mean when they reference this movie (although I knew that it was about hitmen/spies who were married and didn't know the other was a spy as well and that's pretty accurate). Had one of my favourite tropes of having guns/knives pointed at each other and ample chance to kill the other person but they Can't!!! Todd/Black was my original for this but then we got Vegas/Pete, Pete/Kenta and now this movie which came out like 2 decades before these other shows lol Anyway, fun but not something I will think about again + the characters aren't developed enough for me to care.
The Sign (2024)
Country: Thailand
Release Dates: Nov 25, 2023 - Feb 11 (24), 2024
Watch Via: Youtube
Watch Dates: Feb 20 - 24, 2024
Rating: 6.5/10
Overall Impression: I think I liked the first few eps and the potential of the series and the possibilities than I liked the actual series oof. Since everybody freaking loved this, I also had high expectations. I thought there would be more focus on the romance and fantasy and past lives aspect and less on the cop activity. I feel like they didn't choose the correct things to show on screen. I think most of the fight scenes and stuff were confusing and not choreographed very well, and some moments needed to have more time dedicated to them or have more gravitas to them. However, some moments were just shot/directed so beautifully. I enjoyed the parallels between Tharn and Phaya or their current life and past life. It shows the cyclical nature of Phaya and Tharn's lives, and it would've been even more impactful if we saw more of their past lives (their OG life or other reincarnations). Highly doubt I'm gonna think of the characters again, I somehow stopped being attached to them about halfway through - probably related to the fact that I liked the first few eps (half?) of the show better. They tried so many things, but I don't think they satisfyingly merged them or chose the correct things to focus on on-screen.

I’m not watching anything in the last week of February because I seriously need to study for this exam and can’t have a show distracting me but am also in such desperate need of a BL, so I skimmed some stuff.
240226: Skimmed parts of History 3: Trapped’s last few episodes and it continues to hit. agh, it’s just so good. Also skimmed a bit of Semantic Error middle episodes but not as much as Trapped
240228: Skimmed some middle bits of the Our Dating Sim movie, I really need to rewatch the full thing in year cuz I think it’s possible for it to go from 6.5 -> 7
It’s a shame that I only watched 6 things this month (and 2 of those were movies that) because I had a week of break in the middle from university. Still, it’s fine because I used that week to write a fic after a couple months instead, so I’m not too sad. And since the Thai BLs were pretty like plot-involved (esp The Sign and Laws of Attraction), it makes sense that I wasn’t just jumping from show to show.

Part 21
(This part was supposed to happen BEFORE Knuckles issue 4 So my bad.. )
Sonic 49 & 50 (technically, the Issue 50 Director’s Cut Super Sonic Special # 6)
Tumblr media
St. John fires on Sonic and with no more choices left for him Sonic jumps.  He’s exhausted and stressed, but with some quick thinking and some maguffiny ability he is able to create a small land bridge with the dirt collected in his shoes because, you know…  comic book logic.  He's doing everything he can to try to get back to Knothole and prove his innocence, but St. John will not give up.
Things back at Knothole are not faring any better. The King has just reinstated Robotnik as warlord, and now the freedom fighters are standing face to face with their worst enemy in their home... Betrayed by friend and now their king…?!
But wait.  As Robotnik taunts our heroes he simply presses the back of the King's head and he explodes, it was a trick! A robot double of King Acorn.
Tumblr media
The real King is still comatose and his body crystalline.
We see that Doctor Quack was blackmailed into flubbing Sally's death record.
With his wife and children in danger Dr. Quack has no choice but to keep his mouth shut and do whatever Robotnik and Snively command.
Back with Sonic, running out of options and running out of time he lets out a high pitched whistle to summon his friend Dulcy the dragon, and with her help he is able to escape St. John… for now.. but not for long since he is being tracked by him.
Tumblr media
Draco the Wolf’s girlfriend Hershey the Cat is a citizen of Knothole and she has just heard the terrible news of Sally's death and Draco strikes her and tells her that she is the one responsible.  Like the reader, Hershey is confused so Draco explains the nefarious plan.  He tosses out the Sonic suit that she did wear on that fateful day.  With some comic book logic that made total sense to 11 year old g2gfastreads, and somewhat sense to me now… (tirade time! I do not think that the technology used in the sonic suit or even the sonic suit itself is out of the realm of possibility for the universe that they live in. Robotnik was able to create a robot double of King Acorn that was able to fool his own daughter.. so come on. End rant)
Tumblr media
Hershey with the head of the Sonic suit gazes into a mirror, and instead of seeing the Sonic mask, she sees Snively…  uh oh…
Distraught by her involvement in Princess Sally’s assassination Hershey breaks down and weeps. Her lover is not who she thought he was and as far as well all know, Sally is gone because of it.
Waaaaay over in Downunda we see that this is where Bunnie and Antoine were taken for their imprisonment.  Bunnie is rigged up to an explosive set to go off if she uses her robotic limbs to try to fight or escape.  They are thrown into a cell with the Downunda Freedom Fighters who were ambushed and captured by orders from Crocbot… which was, if you don't remember,  the main antagonist from Tails’ miniseries.
After he was blown up, he had enough power to try to salvage nearby scrap to rebuild himself and he swore vengeance against the DFF and Tails.
Tumblr media
Up above it all Sonic and Dulcy approach the Floating Island and with everything that has been going on lately Knuckles attacks first and does not bother to question why Sonic or the Dragon have come. Knux’s sucker punch knocks Dulcy our cold. Of course, this means Sonic and Knuckles get into yet another scuffle.  They do not get to duke it out for long because Geoffrey St. John has been hot on Sonic’s tail this entire time.
50
The issue opens with a dream, a flashback to around more than a decade ago when Doctor Julian Ivo, joined forces with the Mobians.  Jules and Charles Hedgehog were surprised to see Overlanders (Humans) pursuing and attacking their own kind.  So Instead of killing him right there, or leaving him, the brothers took him back to the King.  The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?
The dream showed how Robotnik gave up Overlander secrets and became War Lord.
Tumblr media
When he awakes from his slumber his Swatbots inform him of a prisoner, not a mobian, but an unfortunate Overlander.  Robotnik uses the poor to test out something that he is sure will ensure his complete and utter dominance over the world.  Snively, though, has other plans.
Tumblr media
Back on the Floating Island, Sonic now has to deal with both St. John AND Knuckles but luckily Dulcy has come too and with a mighty shout and a stomp, she is able to get everyone’s attention.
Apparently, Dragons cannot tell lies, so since Dulcy believes Sonic about being framed, that’s good enough for everyone else. So now that Sonic is not public enemy #1 St. John, his men, Knuckles, and Sonic regroup and head back to Knothole.
Meanwhile! At Knothole, Combots, and Swatbots have all the citizens of Knothole lined up and being marched to robotization.  Tails and Rotor go underground to try to escape but even the tunnels are compromised!  Drago captures them and is going to have them set to the prison camp in Downunda like Bunnie and Antoine.
Speaking of Bunnie and Ant.  Bunnie slips her organic arm out her restraints and with the help of Barbie’s claws they are able to get free.  Bunnie detonates the exploding collar, fooling the combot guard into thinking that they’ve blown themselves up.
Tumblr media
Now that they have the element of surprise, they free the other members of the DFF and Bunnie and Antoine stole away onto a plane that was flying back to Robotropolis to deliver ore.  The ore that is the lynchpin for the Ultimate Annihilator.  The UA is Robotnik's magnum opus, with this device, not only would destroy Knothole, he would wipe it from existence, all zones, not even a memory. And that’s of course, really bad.
As Draco marched Tails and Rotor, an unexpected plane flies overhead. Sonic, Knuckles and St. John rain down from above and Draco, now outnumbered retreats.
I'm not really sure how Draco was able to get away from Sonic without being overtaken immediately but, we wouldn't have one of the more memorable scenes in the comic.
Tumblr media
Hershey offers to help Draco hide but then once his guard is down she pretty much kicks his ass and almost kills him!  Sonic came by just in time to see the aftermath and as she weeps she explains everything.
Sonic rushes to Robotropolis to bring the fight back to Robotnik.  Snively uses an armored suit to try to stop Sonic but he is defeated quickly. Before Sonic can look for Robotnik, he quite literally runs into Bunnie and Antoine.
Tumblr media
Bunnie and Ant want to try to blow the weapon up so Robotnik will not be able to use it, and Sonic is going to try to make a distraction to buy them some time but… it’s already too late. As Sonic goes to confront Robotnik, Bunnie and Antoine watch in horror as the structure opens and the device activates.  It’s do or die now. Even though it’s too late to stop it from firing, they can however make sure that it never works again after that.
Swatbots swarm Sonic and Robotnik takes the opportunity to fire the UA.
Knothole is gone.
...Well, at least Bunnie and Antione’s sabotage seemed to work, the UA is overloading, alarms are blaring, this thing is going to blow.
Sonic, with the destruction of Knothole has nothing to lose, and Robotnik who has finally destroyed Knothole, seems to be pleased with that and seems to be willing to die.
So they fought, how sweet would it be to die, knowing he took down Sonic with him.
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Annihilator explodes
Sonic for a moment is bliped out of existence
Robotnik is destroyed.
Hours later Sonic wakes up in Knothole med bay, and he is understandably confused. He saw his home destroyed, what happened?!
I’ll let Rotor explain because I don’t get it either~
Tumblr media
Okay, but why did Robotnik die and Sonic was fine? Take it away Doctor Quack.
Tumblr media
So everything is right as rain, right?  No, what about Sally? Dr. Quack explains that while that fall didn’t kill her, it did injure her and now she’s in a coma.  And there is no telling when she will come out of it.  Sonic doesn’t care, and he rushes out to Sally’s ‘memorial’.
Tumblr media
He kisses her cheek, and quietly pleads for her to come back and he loves her. And because it’s a comic book, and Sonic just so happens to have perfect timing this time.  Her eyes flutter open and she’s like “What did you say?”  He scoops her up in his arms and they share a passionate kiss…  But he wimps out and just says he was happy to see her instead of his confession.
Issue 50 was another big milestone in the Archie, Sonic run and reading it for the first time when I was young was pretty awesome.  Every few pages where penciled by different artists who worked on the series.
The Endgame series is finished, Robotnik is dead.  What is next for Sonic and Friends?

sammya kei’s 2016 fanfiction review
it’s time for something no one asked for but yet since when do i care about people other than me
it’s time for a new tradition! i’m going to take a trip down memory lane and talk about my top 10 fanfics from last year and go into depth about my top five!
top ten (in no particular order):
Stumbling Boy, The History of the World in Your Arms, the heart of an artist, Working Man, Dissolution, The Catch Up Game, Finding You Wherever You Are, taking the last train home, To the Moon and Back, onward
i picked these ten as my faves cuz when i look back at myself in 2016 these are what i’m most proud of. they each show off what i think is my ever evolving writing skills.
now let’s look in depth at my top five! look at those below the cut!
5) onward
lemme state for the record that i...i love aqua with all my heart and soul. i fell in love with her character in 2010 and i haven’t stopped loving and wishing her the best since. when kingdom hearts 0.2 was announced i almost cried. when the video for the opening came out i literally cried. however...onward is not a happy fic. i’m not someone who can sit down and write mushy gushy stuff.
take this passage for example
Her name is Aqua. She repeats that to herself daily. Not that there is a daily, so maybe she repeats it more often than she realizes.
“My name is Aqua. I saved Terra. I have to go home. I have to wake up Ven.”
These words become her mantra. They get her through it, even has hoarse as it leaves her voice.
onward was just written cuz i was realizing that the first ever kh fic i had ever written was facade which was literally about the main villain of the series having sex and turning evil. anyway, aqua deserves more and maybe in 2017 i’ll find time to write her a nice long fic. we’ll see.
i’m just nervous about writing her cuz i love her so much....
4) Stumbling Boy
this is part of the dysfunctional family funtimes series and is one of my faves that i wrote in 2016! it’s the mid-brother fic to nadia’s fic from 2015 aka Separation Anxiety that she needs to finish...which i hope she finishes...but we’ll see lol. it’s all about ginshi dealing with his brother’s disappearance and i just am crying because why is ginshi canonly dead and i cannot deal...MOVING ON
my fave passage from this would be...
People thought that Ginshi tumbled through life, stumbling upon things, but he didn’t, not really. He did do some things deliberately and with care. When he was working on a car, he was able to lose himself. He threw himself into studying, and watched his understanding grow. He’d always liked fussing around with cars, but having a job that he was getting paid to do it at was different. He was different.
And to show that, to really show that he was different, that he was changed, he decided he needed to find something to change about himself physically.
So that when Urie did return, he could point at it and say, “Look, I made my own choice too!”
Stumbling Boy was something that i think i wrote in 2015 and then posted in 2016 but even still...it was nice to rework it and post it. i can’t wait to finish the dff series...
3) taking the last train home
originally posted under one of my many, many pen names....this was supposed to be a hardcore BDSM fanfic. it...it’s not going to be that. i’m sorry. i’m a disappointment. i am too sex repulsed to do that to myself. so i moved it over to this account.
anyway...this isn’t just a fic about sex which is why i got really, really annoyed with some comments i was getting. like...the first sexual scene doesn’t even happen till chapter 8 aka over 11K words later....so okay fandom...whatever. anyway that fic is locked to anyone who doesn’t have an ao3 account but enjoy this snippet!
“If you need me to stop just tell me so, all right?”
“Because I’m going to get so overwhelmed by a kiss on my cheek.”
Yao pushes up on his chin and grins down at him, “You’ll get overwhelmed all right.” Those are bold words, Alfred thinks, but doesn’t get a chance to say so before Yao kisses him.
taking the last train home still has a quite a few more chapters to be posted and i hope everyone enjoys the ride. it’s probably going to end up being the longest amechu fanfic on ao3 that’s completely about amechu with them as the endgame? so...yay for that. #actuallymarried indeed
2) The History of the World in Your Arms
this used to hold the title of my longest amechu fic posted...but then taking the last train home came along and stole that title...ahah. anyway. i wrote this in order to figure out WHY i shipped amechu and maybe talk others into shipping it too?
rereading it makes me wanna die...and i wanna rewrite it but i’ll resist for now.
anyway here’s TWO snippets from the fic that i love!
here’s from yao’s pov
Yao looks at him, lying in Yao’s bed as if he belongs there, as if he’s always belonged right there against the pillows, and says simply, “Then that’s a fair exchange.”
“What is?”
“My ruin for your ruin.”
“Are you saying I’ve ruined you?” Alfred demands, looking confused. Which is a look that suits him.
“Yes,” Yao says, “you’ve ruined me.”
and the second one from alfred’s pov
“It would be so much easier if I just hated you and wanted you gone. But I don’t.”
“You don’t?” Alfred tries not to sound so surprised by that, and fails. Yao looks hurt, and sighs.
“I don’t hate you,” he says quietly, “I told you years ago that I loved you, didn’t I?”
i can’t help but see a canonverse relationship as them being very, very rocky and uneasy but then they settle into something that goes beyond them and we eventually get to a point where they get married....and yeah i’m not over that picture. i could cry....
1) Finding You Wherever You Are
speaking of art--and specifically of art that izzy has done--i’m still not over the leash in this picture after i told her i was JOKING. this fic holds a special place in my heart due to several inside jokes i have with izzy being in it. for those who are still reading at this point i’ll let you in on two of them!
1) yao telling alfred “i know” when they’re doing something sexual or about to
2) please mock izzy for dogfred this isn’t an inside joke this is just something i need others to make fun of her for at this point smh
um yeah moving on
this entire fic is basically aesthetic actually? bad boy rolls into town and finds his true love? CHECK! reincarnation? CHECK! royalty? CHECK! blood drinking? vampires? monsters? oh my??? CHECK!!!
fave comment i got on this fic was someone stunned at the world building i did in 13K+ i’m honestly surprised too? i wrote this fic in like...a day. and by a day i mean 10-11 hours. with a sprained arm. go me?
anyway fave snippets in no particular order!!!!
1)
“May I?” Yao asked, and he sounded so polite as if he were asking for something normal and not permission to lick blood off of Alfred’s hand.
“Um,” Alfred looked down at his boss, and then at the stove which was on the opposite side of the kitchen (how had he moved that fast, the fuck ) and shrugged, “Yeah, sure.”
Yao’s touch was tender as he pressed his lips to the back of Alfred’s hand and licked at the blood that was coating it. Alfred had never realized how sensitive his hands were until he got unlucky enough to have Yao devote his full attention to licking and sucking against the skin. Yao sucked one, and then two of his fingers into his mouth and gave them a wet suck, and Alfred realized that he was standing in his boss’s kitchen, with his fingers in his boss’s mouth, and he was hard. His breath was coming out loud and heavy to his own ears as Yao continued, seemingly oblivious to the effect that he was having on Alfred. But then Yao looked up at him, with three of Alfred’s fingers in his mouth and smirked.
He smirked, slid Alfred’s fingers out of his mouth, and then licked finally at the bleeding wounds. As Alfred watched him, and as Yao watched his hand the wounds sluggishly stopped bleeding.
“You should still wrap that up,” Yao said as he dropped a kiss to Alfred’s knuckles. “Learn how to control your temper, Alfred.”
2)
“Where to next, your majesty?”
“Says the noble.” Wang got on the bike behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist once more. “Do you know the way back home?”
“I’m like a lord yeah but I’m pretty sure you were a king in your past life.”
“You wouldn’t be wrong ,” Wang said.
Alfred grinned, “How old are you anyway?”
“Far, far too old for this. Take me home, pup.”
3)
“You are a wonder, Alfred,” Yao said. He sounded sad and fond as he said that. Alfred’s heart ached .
“So are you, thousands of years old and you still wanna change the world.”
“The world can be changed, Alfred, never doubt that.”
Alfred laughed, and then in disbelief at himself said, “I have full faith in your abilities.”
4)
Alfred helped him put the bracelet on, and then kissed him. He growled low in his throat.
“Yeah,” Yao said. “I know. Look at you, all nice and collared and mine .” He looped his fingers in the golden buckle and made Alfred follow him back to the sofa.
“Look at you,” Alfred said, torn between the leather of the bracelet around Yao’s wrist and Yao’s face for which he wanted to look at more.
okay....
as you can see even tho i make fun of izzy constantly for dogfred i do really like this fic? it’s a bit rushed in places??? but tbh it gets the job done and gets it done nicely! good job me.
so that’s my trip down memory lane! yeah. i just love writing and i like writing fanfics? but i will be moving on to original writing on my site starting this month and you can support me on patreon. i’ll keep writing fanfics but those will be low on my ranking of priorities.
here’s to an amazing 2017!
also if we breakdown my fics for 2016....55% of what i wrote was amechu. i’m in too deep. i blame izzy.
later!

Currently I have three major working theories on how I can see DFF ending.
Scenario 1: Non is dead. Phee and Tan set everything up for revenge. Jin and Phee fight to the death with only one surviving. (Most likely Jin)
Scenario 2: Non is alive and the sole killer. Phee has to kill him in order to save Jin (his new love)
Scenario 3: This one is more supernatural and has to do with the cult. Non is still dead but his ghost is connected to the cult and is possessing and haunting the boys. So technically there is no real human killer.
Scenario one is the most like a western slasher. It’s essentially Scream’s ending. That’s why these theories about Phee/Tan being killers seem too obvious. I don’t think Thai writers/directors involved would literally copy Scream. There has to be some other twist with a Thai spin on it. Of course I could be wrong, and they are in fact just doing a Thai version of Scream.
I do not think that having two killers would automatically mean they are just doing Scream. The vibes are similar but I do not actually think the plot or character or narrative structure is all that similar to Scream. Especially post past reveal, since the killers in DFF (wheter is Phi and Tan or Non or a combo of all three) are a lot more symphatethic then killers in Scream. I know people love the killers in that movie, I do too, but we are very much not supposed to root for them. Billy's motivation are comperable to that of a whiny child, and Stu barely has them.
Also we don't know what is influencing them. I read a post about influences in thai media and how even when it can look western influence it's really not.
One of the exemples in the post is Pit Babe with the omegaverse, saying that Japan and manga have a thriving omegaverse subgenre, they have fully made it their own. And it's much more likely that Pit Babe is taking inspiration from mangas then the west.
This is the post it's by @chaos0pikachu, it's super interesting. I don't know enough about Thai horror or horror from other Asian countries, so I can't speak of the influences on DFF.
That said I am on the camp, White will be one of the final boys standing. I am not sure about Jin. Nor about the killers (who I think are Phi and Tan). I could it see it working in multiple ways.
I also don't think it's suprenatural or that the cult is real. I think this is a story about human beings hurting each other, specifically teenagers, and how they can be both exploited and cruel themeselves. And I can already see the hints of the broader theme having to do with justic, who deserves to die, and who gets to be judge-jury and executioner being all sprinkle in the first half already.
Of course those are just my opinions and I do not want you anon to think that just because I am disagreeing with you I don't appriciate the ask. Because I do <3.
