The 14 remaining ruins are spread out over an area about 1.5 kilometers long. Other interesting things to see here include the Puente del Rey, a bridge from 1617, reputed to be the oldest in the Americas, and also Casa Alarcon, which is considered one of the best preserved private residences.

3. Iglesia y Convento de Santo Domingo

The Iglesia y Convento de Santo Domingo is another of the few actual ruins in Casco Viejo, and is seemingly more intact than other archaeological sites. This well-preserved site consists of walls and arches, including one unique flat arch (arco chato), which was reportedly installed to help with acoustics. Besides, this historical site helps tourists to learn more about the events of the past. In the evening, the restaurant across the street sets up tables and chairs in front of the ruins, and the area becomes a perfect spot to stop and soak up the scenery.

4. Biomuseo- Museum of Biodiversity

When you look out at the ocean from the Old City, or perhaps from your high-rise hotel room, you may notice a colorful building located off the shore of Canal. That building is the Biomuseo. Designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry, this unusually shaped building is set on the Amador Causeway and is surrounded by walking and biking trails. Further, the museum has eight galleries that showcase the natural and cultural history making it one of the most visited Panama City tourist attractions. Furthermore, the park is home to over 500 species of birds, and Pipeline Road is one of the birdwatching hotspots in the country. In addition to birds, abundant mammals, lizards, amphibians, and reptiles are all lurking in the greenery. Plus, you may want to consider hiring a guide, who is more likely to know where to look for critters.

7. Panama Cathedral

Built in the 17th century, Panama Cathedral was left to fall into ruin, along with the rest of the Casco Viejo, before it was renovated and finally reconsecrated by Pope Francis in 2019. As you might have guessed, the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Antigua embodies Panama City’s turbulent history. The original Rococo façade, covered in statuary, sits between two heavy-set bell towers. Step inside, and you’ll find a whitewashed arcade of Romanesque arches processing along the nave to a restored Rococo altarpiece covered in gold leaf.

So where the hell is Rhadamanthus?

OK, lets list some things we know about the space elevators, orbital ring, and conduit in xenoblade 3:

the orbital ring is around the equator exactly

the orbital ring has three space elevators, Minos, Aeacus, and Rhadamanthus (the world tree)

the conduit/zohar was found in Africa, PRESUMABLY near lake turkana, just north of the equator in Kenya

presumably, the three space elevators are equidistance from eachother, at three different spots on the equator

ok now that we've got that straightened out, lets try and pinpoint the locations of the three stations. The only one we actually see is Rhadamanthus, and at the end of future redeemed we get to see the surrounding areas.

Many people were quick to note how much this looks like California. A sprawling city by the sea with mountains inland. not to mention the obviously american architecture. Hell when we visit the same place in xenoblade 2 we see ruins of road signs made in the american style. Including references to a interstate 236, that doesn't exist

But, obviously, there's no part of the USA that straddles the equator. So we have to look for other locations that fit the bill. First of all, we know that the flashback to the city in future redeemed takes place during the afternoon, as we hear the radio broadcaster mention that the show is the afternoon news. Shadows point east in the afternoon as the sun is in the west. We see shadows pointing away from the sea in future redeemed, so that must mean that the location of Rhadamanthus is on a west coast.

There are only three countries with a west coast the equator cuts through: Gabon, Indonesia, and Ecuador.

Gabon doesn't fit the bill, it's too flat.

Indonesia has several islands on the ecuator that COULD fit the bill, but I'm really interested in ecuador here.

this part of ecuador right on the equator fits the bill perfectly. by the sea, with mountains inland, on the west coast, and there's a BIG reason to suspect rhadamanthus is here, but I'll come back to that in a bit... For the record, I'm going to assume that the areas around all three space elevators are administered by the USA, or at least the "coalition goverment". We know the USA had a MASSIVE hand in at least Rhadamanthus's management as we see references to the US government in it in xenoblade 2. I'm imagining it to be a panama canal situation, where only a small strip of land around the space elevator is actually controlled by the USA. Which would explain the road signs and the non existent interstate. (worth mentioning that 236 could be a connecting road to the nearby pan american highway). Anyway, what about the other two

Well. Obviously one of them is going to be in East Africa right? To the south of lake Turkana. They'd build up from where they found the conduit for sure. So, what are some potential locations? Well, about 175 miles south of the lake is the city of Nanyuki. Right on the ecuator, and has an airport. Perfect spot for a major development to happen.

So, what two locations are equidistance from Nanyuki on the equator? Well, to find that we need to divide the circumference of the world into thirds, and then measure that number along the equator from Nanyuki in both directions

the circumference of the world is 40075km, divided by 3 is 13358.33km To the east 12258km from Nanyuki is...

The middle of the ocean... which is fine. There are no three spots on land on the ecuator which are equidistance from eachother. There was always going to be somewhere in the water. But the way i see it, if you can build a space elevator you can build an artificial island. So this probably wouldn't be an issue. It gets exciting when you go west though, because 13358km west of Nanyuki is...

RIGHT OF THE COAST OF ECUADOR.

Within a margin for error of about 300km too. and if you're building a structure of that scale 300km is nothing. Rhadamanthus could've absolutely been right there on that coast. Anyway, this has been my TED talk. Rhadamanthus is in Ecuador. Why the conduit is there and not in Nanyuki... well thats a whole different question to ask.

Do you know this girl?

This photo was found in the wallet of an unidentified man. The man was found dead in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 19, 1980. It's estimated the girl would have been about 4 at the time of the photo.

Not much is known about the man. He:

May have been from Panama City, Florida, or have visited

Was white

Was about 50 to 70 years old at the time of his death

Was about 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds

Would have died anywhere from 1978 to 1980

Had blonde/gray hair

Was dressed in a blue shirt and blue work pants. Shirt size is 16.5 x 34. Had a brown belt.

Along with the photo, he had an item on him that said "HR Bow dyeing and finishing, 278-3448," and parts of a handwritten letter that said, "Dear Dad" and was signed with love form "Pam T Dwight" or "Pam + Dwight."

Identifying the girl in the photo is likely key to identifying the man.

With my first visit to Panama in 2018 I was able to witness my first ever wild red-eye tree frogs (Agalychnis callidryas), and it happened the very first night there! This was the first wild adult red-eye I saw in my life. I’ll be always grateful to my friends Abel and Pamela of @fundacion_los_naturalistas for taking me there! I wouldn’t be shocked if this WME thing was just a trial period. I genuinely believe she brought them on board in the aftermath of the book and docuseries reactions. There were a lot of brands that were running away from them at that point. I do think the premise of the talks were centered around her restarting the tig//instagram. Both of those rumors were heavily pushed for months, and they weren’t random one of stories. WME were using their contacts to get the story to gain traction. I however don’t think Meghan really truly wanted either of those. So she put up a fight. So a lot it stalled, WME forced the had with the handle “leak” and the numbers never came so the project was abandoned all together.

The HoI was different, because for months there were rumors of her going and then not going. She was speaking and then she wasn’t. Invictious was footing the clothing bill until they weren’t. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle but this year HoI had a lot more say in what Meghan was able to do. She was going but she had a very small budget and her speaking part was small at the end. They announced it all with hopes to get additional sponsorships going to and from the event but didn’t land any. then her speaking caused a storm so that changed but ultimately she I think she suffered from that visit. It didn’t fit her and she knew. The size was much smaller than years past and her late arrival was more like the queen has arrived than anything else. It enforced a negative view a lot of people had on her.

I don’t think Meghan was interested in rebranding. She has a very limited repertoire she is comfortable with-shortsuits, Panama hats, neutral colors, black-and-white photos, etc… She just wanted to monetize that.

The problem is that it’s just not that compelling.

▪️IRANIAN SHIA MILITIAS ATTACK TEL AVIV (NOT).. The Shia militias in Iraq claim that they attacked the building of the Israeli Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv in the early morning with a suicide drone. No such incident, though previously there have been reports of drones headed west from Iraq falling in Jordan or being shot down in Syria.

▪️HOUTHIS & SHIPPING.. Houthis: we will not attack any Russian, Chinese or Iranian vessels.

US Central Command: the Houthis launched 4 anti-ship ballistic missiles at the M/V Huang Pu, a Chinese-owned oil tanker flying the Panama flag. A fifth ballistic missile was detected when fired at the tanker, which issued a distress call. The tanker sustained damage - a fire on board was extinguished within 30 minutes.

▪️VISITING US RELIGIOUS DELEGATION.. leaders of several US religious organizations visited Samaria. an official announcement at the end of the tour: "I want you to know that we are with you. We are standing on Mount Bracha, the fact that the children of Israel entered this historic place where we are and made their first covenant with God is proof that this is their land. To expel the Jewish people from this land and establish two states, that would be the opposite to the word of God. We stand with Israel and stand for their right to determine their future and oppose all efforts to divide this land."

"We felt it was our duty to come here after the seventh of October, because the policy of the US administration led to this. But we are most concerned about the push for the two-state solution. Judah and Samaria are the heart of the State of Israel, and God gave this land to Abraham Isaac and Jacob forever. We are calling on the churches in the US to come out against this."
