Fun Facts About U'lohi

Because I can't help but love this doofus with my whole heart. And thus I must develop him further.

He is baby. Like, extremely baby. Loves to be held and cared for, and will pout if he hasn't been hugged in a while.

Despite having an internal clock that wakes him early in the morning, he's generally the type to need like an hour to fully wake up.

That said, he tries his very best every morning to be up in time to greet Azeyma. Dawn is his favorite time of day, and this little rocky outcrop in Forgotten Springs has always been his favorite spot to sit each morning.

He loves when his friends/loved ones take an interest in what he's doing. He'll happily save a spot for early morning sunrise viewing, explain what he's working on at the moment, or make space in general for anyone else. He's definitely an extrovert in that he needs to be around people regularly as outside stimulus. He'd honestly become quite depressed if he goes too long by himself.

Since Sun Seeker culture places the strongest male as the most attractive, this man is the type to seek out a lover who could beat the shit out of him. (Could, not would) Strong men are extremely attractive to him, and being picked up and carried by someone like that would be the highlight of his week honestly.

Due to being raised in the Sagolii Desert, Lohi is partial to having as little fabric on his body as possible. This will become a hinderance as soon as he hits Coerthas. I will make sure to buy him a coat and pants, I promise.

This is all I could think of at the moment, but I'll reblog with more later as his story progresses.

I wasn't expecting to have a character live on this sideblog, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hello hello! Mod Ki'to here, and I am the humble Mooncat behind @humblemooncat (Clever, isn't it? I'll see myself out-)

I'll be helping out with the festivities this year offering my services as an omnigatherer, tank, and my access to things such as skybuilders' and island goodies (For which I have a plethora of currency)!

So, if you need help getting certain things you might not yet have access to, collecting an abundance of resources, or a tank to help level or farm, I'm your man. o7

To introduce myself a bit more for those who've never seen me around before, I run the aforementioned blog as my main hub for all things FFXIV, but generally I just post about my main catboys and assorted ocs!

My mains in-game are my Warriors of Sunlight & Moonlight, U'lohi Tia ("Orange Sherbert" in-game) and Ki'to Vashai.

Though Lohi's home world is Halicarnassus, Dynamis, you can generally find them both on Zalera, Crystal! If I'm not on one, chances are I'm on the other. ;3c

I also run the sideblog @hikinghydaelyn, made for a challenge alt I play from time to time whose main goal is to rp walk the whole MSQ.

Other than the usual MSQ updates for Lohi, and my personal "Mooncat ramblings", I also pride myself on my gposes, my occasional writing (My Playlist drabbles and "A Journey of Remembrance" being my favorites), and my art!

Heavensward Monk quests completed! Went and did them all first since I'm already lv. 60 so I can just focus on MSQ.

This was a fun batch of quests though! Very poetic the last duty was near his tribe's stomping grounds. He's really starting to live up to the U Tribe's reputation. I'm so proud of him. :3c

I had an idea after looking back through last night's posts, and you best bet your ass I'm gonna write my experience last night into Lohi's canon. xD

Very rarely do people get Lohi so heated. Ilberd was the first, Zenos the second.

I'm not gonna lie, I ate a lot of those mechanics when I could because Lohi just wanted to wail on him. Ran in, trail blazing behind him so he could get the first hit in.

So, when it came to Shinryu, Lohi was already seething with fury. Blazed so bright he all but lost consciousness and let the flame consume him as he sent Shinryu back to the aether and Zenos back to the Menagerie.

There's a reason he's called the Fist of the Phoenix. As he's grown, so has the blaze inside. And when he fights with fury and ferocity, it engulfs him. Literally.

It takes a moment to regain himself after a fierce battle, as the embers smolder and die and he awakes to what has transpired.

Lohi's ShB look has been finalized now that he's close to finishing SB!

The hair's been shortened after his ponytail was sliced off in the Ghimlyt Dark. Thus, it's kinda wild-looking. Jandelaine did what he could with what was left. xD

We're also keeping the beard, because between he and Thancred, one of them had to keep the scruff. ;3c

Also, no orange besides the hair! He's taking the whole Warrior of Darkness business seriously. (ie. his usual orange looked weird on the martial top. xD)

I'll also be adding light corruption post-Titania (eyes) and post-Malikah's Well (light lines on body), and the Azem stone necklace post-Amaurot.

I've been having Rhala & Erenville brainworms lately, so his is one of those 'Bumped into you while spacing out and oh no now I'm on top of you-' scenarios. Rhala.exe has stopped responding and Erenville finds it amusing. :3c

Made myself sad with the last one, but I had to do something for him. orz

There was a day, long past, where U'lohi found the thought of his tribe to be anywhere but home. Where the expectations of a Tia were strength and an aspiration to one day succeed the Nunh.

And while escaping to Ul'dah led to incredible things for him, allowing him to flourish into the man he is today;

Copy-pasting a Lohi headcanon I had earlier and yelled about on discord. I had to do some gposes for it.

I was bopping around to Phoenix by Netrum, one of Lohi's theme songs, and had an idea for an alternate way for the light to be expelled in the Hades fight. :3c

Gposes & Headcanon under cut

Essentially, once he and Ardbert are rejoined as shards of Azem, he gains an old ability Helios had. The ability to shift forms (in a limited capacity), and to land the last blow on Hades, he uses this to transform into a lesser version of Azem's "true?" form, a bright orange phoenix akin to Suzaku, and corkscrew through his form to expel every bit of light he'd collected in an inferno.

In this process, his physical form is reduced to ash, thus the light can no longer claim him, and the power within Azem's stone restores him from the embers.

After these events, Lohi won't be using a mount to get places anymore, but will instead be using the Rising Phoenix as a second form for travel. (Like a certain ancient probably did. :3c)

Listen, I wanted to take Fist of the Phoenix to its most literal at some point. Lohi gets all the flashy, fiery stuff I couldn't do with my calm, internalizing catboy, since he got the darkness & smoke

Lohi was always going to be the one to go out in a blaze of glory. Willing or no.
