Something that stuck out to me (and I went back to double check) is that Poppy is never introduced as Queen.

Like, maybe John Dory put two-and-two together after she referred to (former) King Peppy as "Dad" but still-

And it's the same when they find Bruce, Clay, and Viva! (Side tangent, does this mean that Viva was intended to be the future Queen? And since she was presumed dead, it went to Poppy?)

To Viva, Poppy is just her little sister who survived. So she wants to keep her safe. She doesn't know Poppy is the ruler now.

It's wild to me that, while they were trying to leave, there wasn't one line like, "I'm Queen of Troll village now, Viva. I can't just abandon our people."

(Instead of the cameo reveal, I would like to imagine this is Branch's brother's reactions if they realized that their baby brother is dating a Queen.)

Let's talk about Branches trauma for a hot second-

*I know it was like all silly goofy because he's a cute baby in a boy band and they didn't plan three movies ahead, but that doesn't change the fact that they were still using their baby brother, I'm guessing 3 to 5 years old, to make money and fame. I don't care if your 3-year-old has the most angelic voice on the planet, but you can't be putting all that work on a child so young. That is a child. That's child exploitation!

*Then on top of that, there's the toxic work environment and the toxic family environment. His brother was being bossy and perfectionist, which is harmful to everyone, but especially the child in his formative years. He's a little baby! He grew up to internalize what he said which manifested as severe anxiety and OCD tendencies. That's potential child abuse. That's one reason he has such severe anxiety because he felt like he needed to be perfect. He blamed the family's breakup on himself.

* even before his brother's abandoned him, he was clearly not being treated like an actual kid. They were babying him sure, but they didn't seem to give him enough emotional support except his pep talk before the show. They still treated him like a colleague which is inappropriate if he's a literal baby.

*And then they left after blaming him for the breakup, and leaving him to take care of his grandma! Yes she did watch over him and was his guardian, but he still felt responsible for taking care of her. He felt alone and like he had to be a grown up from that point on. Before she was even eaten, he had to be his own parent and his own support. I don't know where his parents fit in all this, but clearly they're out of the picture enough for his brothers to know that they are the ones responsible for Branch. I know he loves Floyd the most because he saw him for who he was but he still left him. You can't leave a kid and say "I'll be back eventually like bye take care of your grandma." That's child neglect and child abandonment.

* he thought he was the reason his family broke up, and the reason his grandma died. He probably made the bunker not only to hide from the world, but to protect the world from himself.

*Later in the movie he thinks that Poppy is going to abandon him too, and she's like "I can see why you're afraid of that but I'm not going anywhere" and that's why I love them.

Get this boy a therapist. (I love him your honor)

I have SO much to say and think about this movie (positive) buuut I need a few days, or maybe weeks, to process... but I made some notes while watching just to chronicle the emotional journey I was experiencing, and wanted to share! sweet dreams IS featured in this movie!! omg im so happy you have no idea. i saw somewhere that velvet and veneer performed that song and it's my favorite ever and i was SO freaking excited to see it featured in one of my favorite franchises but i couldn't find it when the soundtrack came out so i thought it was fake but its not im so happy

peppy how many more dark secrets are you hiding?? he was so straightforward in the first movie but now it looks like he's just gonna keep pulling bigger and weirder hidden drama out of his sleeve as the franchise progresses. not necessarily a complaint just something i noticed

Wow. branch has come a long way since the first troll movie, and i didn’t know how to feel abut that because i was so nostalgic, but seeing him happy and confident like this makes me feel so at peace. yess i know he’s a fictional children’s character what of it

Just watched Trolls Band Together...ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!😍😍😍(SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!)

Oooh, my Harmonia...just got back from watching Trolls Band Together and my GOODNESS!!🤩✨🤩✨🤩Words cannot describe how amazed and engrossed I was into the whole movie!!💖💖💖Was it worth the seven month wait?😗TOTALLY!!😍😍😍It was absolutely fantastic, and I LOVED and enjoyed every single moment of it!!🥰

I was really getting into scenes, got quite a few laughs out of some scenes and was touched the wholesome ones~💕Branch's brothers were just as enjoyable on screen - John Dory still being my fave as he grew throughout the movie (LOVE Rhonda too!😁) Spruce/Bruce is such a lovable family man, Clay was (serious)ly awesome in his scenes and the tender moments between Floyd and Branch really got me...especially with the flashbacks...🥲 It was so great to see Grandma Rosiepuff again, though I do wish there was more feeling shown when her death was mentioned, hopefully the brothers will come to terms with it more in time...and Branch's bunker plan for them all, d'awww...~🥺So he DID build the bunker for all his family...😭 Viva was such an amazing character as well as she adorably bonded with Poppy (ooh, dear King Peppy, I know you were heartbroken at the time but c'mon...😅) and finally braved out of her comfort zone, and Tiny Diamond going through his big boy phase was real cute and funny😂Bridget and King Gristle were great too, it was lovely seeing them again along with the Bergens!😊 I had a feeling Velvet and Veneer were luring BroZone to them, they were such good villains with their goals and personalities but I am glad Floyd got through to Veneer in the end, and he saw the wrong he and his sister were doing, and came clean to everyone. And Crimp was a cutie and deserves better🫂(glad she got a hug from Poppy and stood up to Velvet and Veneer in the end😌) And it was also great to see some of the Snack Pack again too, including Prince D and especially my darling Cooper too, eeeee~!😍💗💗💗He looked so dapper!💝🥰 Speaking of Poppy, she was just as darling as ever~!😚I seriously LOVED her relationship and her undying love for Branch blossom so much here whilst supporting and fangirling for him all the way as they interacted, bless her~😊And that sweet BROPPY KISS!!🤭...🤩I was going 'YES!! FINALLY!!' under my breath, grinning from ear to ear in that moment~💙💖And that moment when I thought he was gonna pop the question during the performance during the end...hehe, maybe another time~😉But I certainly didn't expect *NSYNC to show up in their trollsonas near the end...what a twist!😮

The chase scene and perfect family harmony scene were truly epic and it really shows, it doesn't have to be perfect as long as we're altogether~💞💓All the locations of the brothers were stunning to look at, with Vacay Island and Spruce/Bruce's family, the creepy abandoned Bergen golf course with the Putt-Putt Trolls, and finally Mount Rageous - a whole lot of wonder to take in!💖Walt Dohrn, Gina Shay and the DreamWorks Animation Crew did such an fantastic job on everything!✨🌟✨And that huge BroZone hug...again, d'aaaaww~!😭

As for the songs...I'll be downloading the rest of the album now because they were all wonderful to listen to!🎧🎶Real boyband and 90's nostalgia~✨I know they're gonna be stick in my head for a long time, hehe!😆I have so many faves, especially all versions of 'Better Place'~😚

A greatly HUGE thank-you in a million to everyone Trolls for such a fantastic movie, which I wonderfully enjoyed all the way through, from start to finish!🌟👏👏👏🌟AAAHH!!💓💗💓I JUST LOVED IT ALL!! 😍🤩😍I give it a solid 9.5 out of 10!!😊👍✨Totally made my weekend~!🫶🥰

HOW DOES TROLLS HAVE THE BEST REPRESENTATION EVER??

(spoilers for trolls 3 below)

we get asexual representation with trolls having kids by themselves, we have physical disability representation with a troll in a wheelchair (and im pretty sure there were other instances in the other movies but i cant remember), we get freaking agoraphobia representation with poppys sister???? that one was wild /pos and i was so happy to see it. we get interracial (sorta?? thats how i see it) with bruce and his wife, not to mention bruce changing his name. love to see that. ALSO bruce doesnt have abs anymore and no one batted an eye or did the sterotypical thing we always see in media of "ahhh you let urself go" or tried to shame him or anything. they were just like "oh nice ur a dad now. thats wild man." we got healthy communication with branch and poppy. aND WE GOT KINK TALK??? WITH BRIDGET SAYING SHE DIDNT KNOW BOTH HER AND GRISTLE WERE GONNA END UP TIED UP???

Like Branch and Poppy? Top tier, they're great together

And Bruce and his wife? I didn't see any common annoying trope about hating his wife or smth, no it was wholesome, he's just a dad and he and his wife have a business together, that's it

She's supportive and he loves her, it was great, even if he left her with the kids it was important and she understood and asked for the same favour on a later date, and it was like something normal! Not annoyance or smth, they're great

And Bridget and Gristle, they're *in love*

I love it

Same as the others, not annoying jokes!

The only joke about oh no, you can still run away and not get married, was of another character, which was met by annoyance by the Grom, it was great ❤️

I saw a trolls 3 video that contained clips from the movie which were pretty much spoilers but they were all out of context so I think it’s fine, but there was this one scene that caught my eye

This is obviously Velvet and Veneer as children, which means they were once children, as you may know everyone on Mount Rageous is a teenager, but this makes things different

This possible means that there might be adults, cause you can’t have children without adults, so maybe the adults do have there own side of the city, which means the adults let there teens fend for themselves in a way once there mature enough or something

that could be used for some good neglectful/abandonment angst but this is just a theory until I see the movie

Also I can just imagine picking them up and dangling them like toddlers in my arms 😂

Me trying to avoid Trolls Spoilers (I say I don't want them but the 'tism in me says yes)

In my AU where after Veneer tells the truth about him and Velvet being frauds the pop trolls give him his own natural singing voice because he deserved it for being truthful!

(I sorta got the idea for my AU from that one scene in the little mermaid where Ariel got her voice back /the animated Disney version of the little mermaid\ and I also got the inspiration from my head canon that Veneer knew how to sing all along but he just pretended to spray his neck so he doesn’t harm Floyd.. I combined it together to make my AU!)
