Doesn’t the ACLU have better cases to pursue?
In 2019, an ACLU lawsuit against the New Jersey Department of Corrections resulted in a settlement which required the state to allow violent male inmates to self-identify into the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women. The lawsuit was launched on behalf of a transgender male inmate who sought transfer but had been denied. That inmate was anonymized in court records, referred to only as “Sonia Doe.”
Reduxx has learned the identity of the anonymous inmate the ACLU represented in their fight for prison gender self-identification, and can name him as unhinged convicted terrorist Danielle Demers.
Demers, born Daniel Smith, was investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for attempting to sell ammunition and pipe bombs.
In October of 2017, Demers, a veteran of the Marine Corps, was charged with attempting to sell a high-powered rifle, 300 rounds of ammunition, and material capable of making five pipe bombs. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Demers provided instructions on how to assemble the pipe bomb and noted that they should be filled with nails to act as shrapnel.
He was arrested by members of the Atlantic City Police Department SWAT Team, and the Atlantic City Police Department Bomb Squad recovered the pipe bomb materials. Authorities did not specify the intended customers for the weapons, and local media reportsreferred to Demers simply as a “woman.”
Tumblr media
As reported by AC Prime Time, Demers had been known locally for charity work prior to his arrest. The exact nature of his activism remains unclear.
Demers was charged with unlawful possession of a destructive device, possession of an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose, unlawful sale of a firearm, unlawfully teaching another to use an explosive, and conspiracy. In April of 2018, Demers and his female accomplice Nina House were each sentenced to five yearsin prison for their crimes.
Tumblr media
Demers’ sex was recorded as female by the Atlantic County Justice Facility, though he was initially housed with men at the New Jersey State Prison in Trenton. In August of 2019, the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey (ACLU-NJ) filed a lawsuit against the state Department of Corrections on behalf of Demers, arguing that a “woman” named only as “Sonia Doe” had been “imprisoned for the past seventeen months in men’s prisons,” a situation that was said to constitute “cruel and unusual punishment.”
The legal action, which used “she/her” pronouns to refer to Demers, claimed that he was discriminated against “on the basis of her gender identity or expression and on the basis of her sex,” and that he had been “treat[ed] differently than other women solely because she is transgender.”
It was further stated that Demers suffered from an “exceptional vulnerability as a woman,” which included prison staff “referring to her as male, using male pronouns to address her, and sometimes even explicitly telling her she is a man.” The lawsuit sought financial compensation for “the more than seventeen months” that the DOC “caused [him] to suffer in men’s prisons.”
Also mentioned in the complaint was Demers’ lack of access to “gender-affirming undergarments”. In one specific example, a bra owned by Demers was confiscated, and he had filed 13 grievances to the NJDOC related to his desire for women’s underwear.
Tumblr media
Within the same month that the lawsuit was filed, the New Jersey Department of Corrections transferred Demers to Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women (EMCF), the state’s only female prison.
“Sonia Doe has spent more than 500 days in men’s prisons, facing extreme harassment, discrimination and outright violence on a day-to-day basis,” said ACLU-NJ Staff Attorney Tess Borden said in response to the decision. “Her bravery in asserting her rights, and the DOC’s quick decision to transfer her to the women’s prison, creates momentum for broad-based reforms.”
In June of 2021, the state of New Jersey reached a settlement with the ACLU-NJ and agreed to adopt major reforms to prison policies which would allow housing according to a self-declared and subjective ‘gender identity’ rather than on biological sex.
As part of the settlement, the New Jersey Department of Corrections agreed to pay Demers $125,000 in damages and $45,000 in separate attorney’s fees.
In a press release issued by the ACLU-NJ, Borden remarked: “The settlement of this lawsuit puts in place systemic, far-reaching policy changes to recognize and respect the gender identity of people in prison – with housing based on gender identity, use of appropriate pronouns, access to gender-affirming property, and much more.”
She continued: “This policy places New Jersey in the vanguard of states committed to protecting transgender, intersex, and non-binary people in prison housing determinations and continues its path toward eliminating discrimination based on gender identity.”
According to testimonies provided to Reduxx from women incarcerated at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women (EMCF), among the first men to be transferred to the prison after Demers and the ACLU-NJ were victorious in their lawsuit was a convicted woman-killer who had referred to himself as “Lucifer’s maiden servant.”
Tumblr media
Perry Cerf was handed a 50-year sentence in 2003 for the brutal rape and murder of a sex-trafficked woman from Ecuador. Cerf, who now goes by “Michelle Hel-loki Angelina” and is recorded as female by the DOC, had been found wearing his victim’s clothes and utilizing her identification with his photo superimposed over hers.
At the time of his crime, he sent a letter to the press confessing to and boasting about the horrific slaying, stating: “Since I have a most unusual taste for blood, I drank and licked and lapped up my fill … Let it be known: I am Lucifer’s Maiden servant, sent to earth born of sin, to bring suffering and pain, darkness and evil.”
Cerf accepted a longer sentence to avoid a rape charge, and during his trial said, “Going to prison on a sex charge would be a safety concern for me.” He has since married a female inmate at EMCF, and has been reportedly terrorizing women in the facility.
Since his release, Demers has been active on the online forum Quora, a community that operates on a question and answer format.
Tumblr media
Demers is behind at least two profiles on the site. In one Quora profile, Demers describes himself as a “Former Tactical Analyst & Warfare Development Specialist.” He also purports to be a “rape counselor” who “sits on the board of directors for several non-profits.” The 2019 legal complaint launched on his behalf similarly describes Demers as a “grief and suicide counselor” and “board member of several non-profit organizations.”
All together, Demers has replied to thousands of questions on the platform, many of which relate to the topic of transgenderism and prison policies.
To a question posted last year on whether there should be separate prison accommodations for transgender people, Demers responded: “In NJ [sic] transgender females (still having a penis) are housed with cis females, they are housed together, roam freely together, eat together, and shower together… This has been policy for over two years with dozens of trans female inmates living and co-mingling at the only female prison, Edna Mahan.”
Tumblr media
To another Quora user who asked “What would happen if an inmate in prison got caught staring at another inmate in the showers,” Demers commented: “The females all have girlfriends and open relationships, no shame in it.”
In a recent post from April 23, Demers instructs readers to “Google Sonia Doe” in order to learn how the state of New Jersey places trans-identified prisoners.
While Demers speaks about “Sonia Doe” as though a separate entity, in a post from last year he explicitly outed himself as “Sonia Doe” and stated that he was “brought to the female prison with the help of the ACLU.”
Demers writes: “I am transgender. I was declared male at birth. I have always been a girl… It’s not a fetish or a phase. I am very feminine, and guys hit on me everywhere I go. My heart, soul, metaphysical mind and now my body are female. I love being a girl! Before I was miserable every second of every day. Trying to be something I wasn’t. It was torture.”
One Quora user asked about the issue of female inmates being impregnated by trans-identifying males. “Are transgender activists bothered by women getting pregnant by male inmates in women’s prisons?” Demers answers: “If a transgender person is on the right combination of hormones and testosterone blocking meds they can not impregnate a female. In fact, they will not ejaculate a single drop of semen.”
In addition to offering his expertise on topics related to transgenderism, Demers has also been responding to Quora inquiries of a sexual nature, including on topics such as furries, diapers, menstruation, and lesbianism.
Tumblr media
“I’m ADBL and have no real ADBL friends. Just a few people I speak to online,” Demers writes. In his profile, he lists “Adult Babies / Diaper Lovers (fetish)” as an area of personal expertise. ADBL refers to a sexual subculture in which adults, primarily men, achieve arousal by behaving and dressing like babies.
On his older Quora profile, only three accounts followed by Demers are visible. All of them are related to the sexual fetish of adults pretending to be children or infants. One is specifically titled “Diapered Females.” Among his followers is what appears to be an adult man who calls himself “Newborn Baby Rebecca” and posts photos of himself wearing diapers.
“I love kissing girls (I’m a girl, and not a lesbian). Girls are amazing kissers, soft and gentle,” reads one comment by Demers. To the question, “If female best friends finger each other, does that make them lesbians?” he responds: “No, it does not. It makes them friends with benefits.”
Using his more recently active profile, Demers described a scenario wherein he had engaged in sexual activities with a minor. He described the situation, which involved a 17 year-old girl, as a misunderstanding that occurred after drinking at a bar.
Responding to a user who posed the question of how to prevent “male perverts who try to go into women’s washrooms and showers,” Demers replied: “There is a huge difference between the male perverts who enjoy going into and somehow get off going into female bathrooms/locker rooms, and trans women who go there just like any other female. I’m a trans female and I go into female bathrooms, do you know why, it’s because I’m a female! Even in states where it’s illegal for me to use female restrooms, I’m still going to utilize the female restroom, do you know why? Because I’m a female.”
Tumblr media
Disturbingly, Demers also claims to have a period and use period products.
“There is nothing shameful about menstruation. I prefer pads, and when I’m on my period, I keep one in my back pocket. I’ve always got a pad or two in my purse,” he wrote on Quora.
But perhaps most frighteningly, Demers claims to have adopted a homeless teenage girl from an abusive background, and has responded to posts on the topic of kidnapping while himself warning others to understand laws related to the offense.
“I took in and raised a teenage girl, she was drug addicted, being abused by men and at home spent most of her time on the streets. She is now 22, sober, and in college. We are very close. Something deep inside just told me to help her and show her the way. If you have the same urge to intervene I would seriously consider doing so. Bear in mind the law, going against either parent is a losing battle and quick way to possible kidnapping charges. In my particular situation her mother couldn’t have been happier to be rid of her,” he states.
Demers has also claimed to be “best friends with a high ranking police administrator,” while describing an unsettling story involving kidnapping and a “closet painted black with chains hanging everywhere.”
In the story, Demers prevents an officer from conducting a welfare check on an “adult child” on the basis that the sexual bondage scenario was a form of roleplay, and therefore, consensual.
Tumblr media
On March 14, 2022, he answered the question: “What crime did you not get caught for yet and owe prison time to the police for?” Demers replied, “If I didn’t get caught, then why would I owe time to the police?”
Thanks to the efforts of Demers and the ACLU, at least 27 men are now housed at EMCF, many of which have been convicted of violent crimes involving women and children.
Amongst them are Matthew “Marina” Volz and Adam “Ashley” Romero, two sadistic men who sexually abused Volz’ 7 year-old daughter to produce “transgender porn” involving the child.
Another male transfer, Raequan “Rae” Rollins, is said to have incited the worst instance of prison guard brutalityagainst female inmates in recent years – following which, he was transferred out of EMCF for his safety to the New Jersey State Prison in Trenton while the women who were beaten remained.
Despite having repeatedly assaulted officers, threatening to sexually assault a female staff member, and allegedly hurling his bodily excretions at guards, Rollins filed a lawsuit following a violent show of force from prison officers which resulted in six women being extremely battered. Major media outlets reported sympathetically that he had been a victim of “transphobia”, and he was ultimately moved to Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution at Muncy, a facility for adult female offenders.
Still another male transfer was discovered to have impregnated two women housed at EMCF after being transferred in while serving a 30-year sentence for the murder of his foster father. Demetrius ‘Demi’ Minor had been trying to have sex with the female inmates from the moment he was transferred in, according to sources at the prison.
Additionally, multiple women have told Reduxx of the sexual harassment and abuse they have endured from the male transfers.
Kokila Hiatt, who has spoken to Reduxx on several occasions over the past year, reports becoming the target of harassment by Perry Cerf after speaking out. Cerf made false allegations against Hiatt which resulted in her being punished and placed in a lockdown unit for three days.
Last year, Amy Locane, an actress known for her role in Melrose Place, described how a 6’7″ convicted murderernamed Neil LaBranche — who now goes by the name Nikita Selket — had been showering with women at the facility, causing them to feel uncomfortable and “violated.”

Lindbergh Kidnapping
Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr., 20-month-old son of the famous aviator and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, was kidnapped about 9:00 p.m., on March 1, 1932, from the nursery on the second floor of the Lindbergh home near Hopewell, New Jersey. he child’s absence was discovered and reported to his parents, who were then at home, at approximately 10:00 p.m. by the child’s nurse, Betty Gow. A search of the premises was immediately made and a ransom note demanding $50,000 was found on the nursery window sill. After the Hopewell police were notified, the report was telephoned to the New Jersey State Police, who assumed charge of the investigation.
During the search at the kidnapping scene, traces of mud were found on the floor of the nursery. Footprints, impossible to measure, were found under the nursery window. Two sections of the ladder had been used in reaching the window, one of the two sections was split or broken where it joined the other, indicating that the ladder had broken during the ascent or descent. There were no blood stains in or about the nursery, nor were there any fingerprints.
The Investigation: 1932-1934
On March 2, 1932, after a conference with the Attorney General, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had contacted the headquarters of the New Jersey State Police at Trenton, New Jersey. He officially informed the organization that the U.S. Department of Justice would afford Colonel H. Norman Schwarzkopf, the Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, the assistance and cooperation of the FBI in bringing about the apprehension of the parties responsible for the kidnapping. He advised the New Jersey State Police that they could call upon the Bureau for any facilities or resources which the latter might be capable of extending. The special agent in charge of the New York City Office of the Bureau, which at that time covered the New Jersey district, was instructed accordingly and, upon instructions from the Director, the special agent in charge communicated with the New Jersey State Police and the New York City Police, offering any assistance which the Bureau might be able to lend in this matter.
During the next few weeks the Bureau was acting merely in an auxiliary capacity, there being no federal jurisdiction. However, on May 13, 1932, the President directed that all governmental investigative agencies should place themselves at the disposal of the state of New Jersey and that the FBI should serve as a clearinghouse and coordinating agency for all investigations in this case conducted by federal investigative units.
On May 23, 1932, the FBI in New York City informed banks in greater New York that the Bureau was the coordinating agency for all governmental activity in the case. A close watch for ransom money was requested.

TRENTON, Canada A new report released Wednesday revealed that police in Toronto, Canada disproportionally target Black, Indigenous and other minority groups, prompting the force's chief to apologize for the conduct on behalf of the department."As an organization, we have not done enough to ensure that every person in our city receives fair and unbiased policing," interim Toronto Police Chief James Ramer said at a press conference. "For this, as chief of police and on behalf of the police, I am sorry and I apologize unreservedly."We must improve, and we will do better."The report's statistics found that the city's 5,400 uniformed officers were more likely to use force and do strip searches on Blacks and minorities.Ramer’s apology was answered with tough words from at least one person at the press conference."Chief Ramer, we do not accept your apology," said Beverly Bain of the No Pride in Policing Coalition citizens’ group.Bain characterized the chief's admission and apology as "insulting" and nothing more than a "public relations stunt."The report was compiled by an internal police panel, data from experts outside the department, and community representatives. The report found that Black, Indigenous and Middle Eastern citizens -- in other words, people who are not white -- were more often targets of "enforcement actions."Toronto is Canada's largest city, with a population of about 2.8 million. About 10%, or 280,000 people, are Black, but they made up 22.6% of those targeted by police actions, including arrests, tickets and cautions. Blacks also accounted for almost 40% of use of police force incidents. Also targeted disproportionally more often than whites were Latino, Asian and Middle Eastern people. Those groups were also found to be more likely to have a police firearm pointed at them.Toronto Mayor John Tory said the report's findings of overt racism were "unacceptable."But this is the first time a report has been compiled with so much data, and Tory said it will be used to make positive changes in the force. The report included 38 recommendations aimed at reducing racial discrimination and strip searches. Not a single police officer in Newark, NJ, fired their weapon in 2020, an achievement the department credits to its de-escalation training program. That stat is all the more impressive given that it comes during a year that Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose has described as the roughest in his 34 years of law enforcement, citing a summer of civil unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic as factors.
The Newark Police Division's de-escalation program was initially introduced two years ago. Ambrose says 2020 is the year the program really began paying off, telling News 12 New Jersey, 'These things, it takes time for it to work. And I think it worked.'
Newark, NJ, is a city that historically has had high crime rates, but overall, crime dropped 6% and police recovered 7% more firearms off the streets in 2020—without needing to fire a single shot. Perhaps most impressively, the city's homicide rate stayed flat, while nearby cities like Trenton saw theirs rise alarmingly last year.

The first automobile in Detroit was driven by Charles Brady King along Woodward Avenue on March 3, 1896, a few weeks before Henry Ford drove his first car in the city.[52] In 1909, the first mile (1.6 km) of concrete roadway in the country was paved between 6 and 7 Mile roads at a cost of $14,000 (equivalent to $2.17 million in 2015)

Turtle Soup
Tumblr media
Turtle Soup #1. September, 1987. By Bernie Shuman, Danny Shuman, Steve Bissette, Frank Bella, Stan Sakai, Eric Talbot, Jim Miller, C. A. Stormon, Francis Mao and John Downling.
"Turtle Dreams" by Steve Bissette.
In April’s apartment, Splinter meditates, contemplating the evils of the night. Suddenly, the Turtles smash through the window, exhausted from battle and carrying a grim package: the grievously injured Michaelangelo. Splinter inspects the wound and finds that Mikey’s plastron has been split in twain and the gash nearly reaching his internal organs. Splinter quickly binds the wound with herbs and bandages and urges his sons to sleep, only to find that they’ve already passed out.
Each Turtle is plagued with unspeakable nightmares. Raphael leaps at a giant gaping maw head-on, only to be swallowed whole. Leonardo chops his way through a horde of nightmarish monstrosities, only to eventually become overwhelmed by their numbers. Donatello takes flight against his enemies on a winged dinosaur, but the monsters of the night tear both his steed and him down.
Michaelangelo is worst off, as he is fighting for his very life within the dreamscape. Mikey finds himself cut completely in two, revealing his still-beating heart. “The Mate of the Night”, a decomposing haggish monstrosity, reaches down, plucks out his heart and devours it.
In the waking world, Splinter sees his sleeping children struggling. Returning to his meditation, Splinter seeks to psychically rescue them from their nightmares.
The Turtles then find themselves in a linked dream. They are all babies again, paling around on a beach. They are approached by their momma turtle, who leads them down to the depths below the waves. There, they sleep peacefully, curled up with their mother.
Back in reality, the Turtles sleep soundly at Splinter’s feet, having been saved from their mental anguish.
Tumblr media
"Pesticide" by Frank Bella.
As Leonardo walks down the street, expounding on how most turtles like to hide in their shells, he sees his brothers besieged by giant cockroaches. Revealing that he prefers to face trouble, Leo draws his blades and charges into action. As he does so, he contemplates, “I knew New York had a roach problem, but jeez!”
"Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew" by Stan Sakai.
Leonardo falls through a portal, crossing time and space, before popping up in the world of Miyamoto Usagi. He assumes it has something to do with after-effects of meeting Renet in #8, and soon encounters a group of aggressive samurai. Nearby, Usagi gets into a fight with a bunch of ninja. After defeating their respective enemies, Leonardo and Usagi are just about to attack each other, when Leonardo disappears, and comes back into April's apartment.
Tumblr media
"The Howl" by Eric Talbot.
Raphael is patrolling the city when he comes across a big dog, which turns out to be more of a werewolf. After a short fight, a mysterious man enters and takes the werewolf with him, thanking Raphael for finding it.
"Showdown" by Jim Miller and C.A. Stormon.
As the Turtles and the Varmints (Lucky the aviator rabbit, a detective hamster and a samurai duck) both round the same corner, Leonardo and Lucky smack headfirst into each other. Neither leader is willing to admit fault and both demand satisfaction for the slight. Both groups fight, but prove equally matched in battle. Leonardo comes up with a solution of his own; he’ll act as ref while his brothers and the Varmints compete in a rooftop relay race.
Mike and the hamster are first off the line and scale the nearest building via the fire escape. They leap off the first roof and onto the second, but come in too fast and crash into the next members of the relay.
The samurai duck and Raphael recover at the same time and each take swinging lines over to the third building. Unfortunately, their lines get tangled and both slam face-first into a brick wall.
Eventually, they tag Lucky and Donatello, who race across the roof and leap down into the alley where the finish line awaits. They smash into craters in the concrete. Leonardo declares the race a tie, but the detective hamster insists that Lucky was first.
The samurai duck says he has an ancient Japanese tiebreaker and produces the Jewel of Solutions from Ti-Quack. The jewel zaps them with an “aura-monster” that puts both groups into a deep trance. By the time the jewel finishes working its magic, both groups have completely forgotten about the encounter and wander off their separate ways.

"Apparition" by Francis Mao.
Midnight in an alley on South 5th Avenue, and the Turtles are all badgering Don as to what exactly they’re doing there. Don relates his story one last time…
Just after 11 o’clock, Don was heading to the grocery store for April when he bumped into a distressed young man on the run. Only briefly shocked at meeting a giant turtle, the young man had more important things on his mind and hid both himself and Don from a car full of gang thugs that were hunting him. The man introduced himself as Sal Pitela. A local gang, the Daggerlords, had invaded his apartment and taken his wife and children hostage. Sal managed to escape but he feared what might happen to his family if he didn’t get help. He asked Don to meet him outside his apartment on South 5th Avenue at midnight while he tried to get help from the police.
Well, it’s midnight and Sal is a no-show. The Turtles begin discussing what to do when they hear a woman’s scream coming from Sal’s place. They decide to intervene, while Don stays behind and waits for Sal. As his brothers invade the apartment and begin knocking gang-banger heads, Don is approached by the shadowy figure of Sal, appearing from a darkened alleyway. Sal tells Don that he didn’t make it to the police and that it’s up to him to save his family. Don joins his brothers and dispatches with all the thugs.
Mrs. Pitela (thinking the Turtles are wearing weird gang costumes) thanks her saviors, though Don reveals that it was Sal, outside, who was the real hero. Mrs. Pitela conveys shocking and tragic news that it couldn’t have been Sal that Don had talked to a moment ago, as the gang had shot him earlier when he was trying to escape and carted his corpse back to their apartment. Don and the Turtles investigate the bedroom and Don IDs the dead body on the bed as Sal Pitela.
As the cops clean up and the Turtles disappear, Don ponders what exactly it was that he saw in the alley…

"You're in the Army Now" by Bernie Shuman and Danny Shuman.
Lounging around April’s apartment, Leo and Don figure they’re due for a vacation. April suggests they visit her uncle in Trenton and they jump at the chance. Unfortunately, they arrive at the bus depot late and have to chase down their ride. They soon find that they’ve hopped onto the wrong bus, as they’re dropped off at Fort Dix; an army boot camp facility!
Leo and Don try to explain the mix-up to Sgt. Heartbreak, but he figures them for a couple of goldbricks trying to weasel out of their enlistment. He sends them to get their haircuts, uniforms and medical exams and the Turtles reluctantly comply.
4am the next morning, boot camp begins in earnest and Leo and Don are put through the works: 4-mile marches, 20-mile hikes, tear gas chamber, obstacle course, etc. Having trained in ninjutsu their whole lives, they find Heartbreak’s regimen a breeze, but feel he’s being too hard on some of the smaller recruits. Next up is one-on-one with the pugil sticks and Heartbreak challenges any private to take him on. Seeing a chance to get some payback, Don accepts and quickly knocks Heartbreak off his feet. Rather than get upset, however, Heartbreak is impressed. When Lt. Jones calls him in to warn him of a terrorist threat to their post ammo dump, Heartbreak suggests putting his two best recruits, privates “Atello” and “Nardo”, on guard duty.
Leo and Don stand a lonely vigil outside the ammo dump late into the night and, as predicted, a van full of terrorists open fire. The Turtles take cover as the terrorists break into the ammo dump and begin looting the goodies. Don has a bright idea and the Turtles commandeer a nearby tank. Don rolls over the terrorists’ escape van then he and Leo take the villains out with hand-to-hand combat. Heartbreak arrives on the scene and sees that “Nardo” and “Atello” have everything under control. He is so thrilled, he decides to put them up for citation.
Later, April receives a letter from Leo and Don explaining their predicament. Mikey and Raph join her on a trip to Fort Dix to straighten things out. The General gladly offers Leo and Don honorable discharges and the Turtles leave Fort Dix with April and their brothers. Jokingly, Raph and Mike suggest they take their next vacation at Parris Island.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" by John Dowling.
Down in the sewer lair, Raphael callously bursts through a portrait his brothers are painting. As they yell at him, he says that he’s off for Hollywood. Catching a ride on the bumper of a car, he arrives at JFK and snakes aboard an airplane via the landing gear.
A week later, the Turtles lament Raph’s absence during a poker game. Raph, meanwhile, is living it up on the beaches of Hollywood, surrounded by several naïve blondes. He tells them that he is a Testudon alien that has come to Earth to save humanity from the Prodigian shape-changers. In fact, he’s making a movie about it right now in order to warn the world of the alien threat! Raph’s agent, Monty, then swings by and picks him up for a ride to the studio. Monty shows Raph a piece of concept art for the Prodigian villains (shapely alien women) which the art department created to his precise specifications. As Monty and Raph drive off, the two blondes transform into Prodigian alien women. They are disturbed that a Testudon is on Earth and even more disturbed that he suspects their invasion. They decide to accelerate their plans.
During the ride, Raph recalls how when he first arrived in Hollywood, he couldn’t get a job because mutants were passé. He then saw a photo of an anthropomorphic turtle in a newspaper, labeled an “alien”, and decided to use that as a basis for his invasion cover (which landed him a gig with Monty).
Monty and Raph arrive at the studio and find a horde of Prodigians battling a horde of Testudons on the set. Monty tells Raph that the invasion has begun before they could make their movie, while Raph is just shocked that his whole phony story was true. Raph pulls Monty from the path of a Prodigian laser tank and both pile into Monty’s car. Raph drives the car full-speed into the tank, exploding both vehicles (and killing Monty). Still on fire, Raph battles the remaining Prodigians and takes them all down.
The fight over and the Prodigians captured, the Captain of the Testudons thanks Raphael and escorts him back to their spaceship. The Captain explains that the Testudons and the Prodigians have been waging war for all of recorded history. The Prodigians were exiled to Earth in the form of a penal colony, but when the Testudon’s registered anthropomorphic terrapin life similar to their own on the planet, they came back to remove the Prodigians before they could take over. Raph asks how he could have known the whole story when he pitched his script to Monty and the Captain says something about residual psychic energy.
Suddenly, the producer starts shaking his fist at the spaceship, demanding reimbursement for the damage done to his studio. The Testudons then flee and drop Raph off in New York on their way home. They invite Raph to come live with them on their homeworld, but Raph declines.

From Turtlepedia
From this set of stories the two I will remember are “You’re in the army now” and “Apparition”, as they are unique enough to bring new artists. And also because those were the ones I enjoyed the most. The other stories are original and have a unique style as well, but the stories didn’t appeal to me.
I give the issue a score of 7.

“Gordon Calvert Surrounded By Prison Guards,” Kingston Whig-Standard. January 9, 1932. Page 1 & 14. ----- Calvert Said to Be Dressed in Woman's Clothing in Travels ---- AUDACIOUS ACTION ---- Appears Certain That Calvert Stole Automobile Near Strathcona ---- Gordon Calvert, the convict who escaped from the Kingston Penitentiary between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 o'clock on Wednesday morning, is close to recapture. Recognized on Friday when he drove a stolen car into the Tweed district where he was well-known and formerly resided Calvert showed a brazen effrontery which is expected to lead lo his speedy arrest. Latest despatches say he Is surrounded near Peterboro.
The audacity of Calvert Ii going beck to his own home district, where he is well-known to many people, has puzzled the prison authorities but the many reports of people who recognized the man leave little doubt that he is actually masquerading there in women's clothing
During the day he is said to have visited the home of his brother at Ivanhoe and to have debated with a family by the name of Rollins who live at Fuller, the advisability of giving himself up to the prison guards.
A filling station owner near Tweed has positively identified a strange figure in women's garb which stopped an automobile at his station as Calvert. He was shown picture of the wanted man and said that the pseudo-woman was certainly the escaped convict.
It is almost a certainty that Calvert stole an automobile from Bruce Findlay at Strathcona and thus made his way on Thursday night to his home district.
May Get Into North The fear has been expressed that if Calvert gets into North Hastings which is sparsely populated and where he is said to have many friend that he will elude hls pursuers for same time. Every effort is being made by prison guards and provincial and town police forces to bottle him up In the south part of the county.
Belleville, Trenton and Campbellford are being searched and Peterboro police are fully alive to this fact that he Is thought to be headed for their City
There are many persistent rumors current on the street as to how Calvert made his actual escape but the prison authorities refuse to discuss those except to say that they know nothing of them. One story is to the effect that long piece of electric insulating pipe with a hook on the end has been found in the lake near Kingston Penitentiary and it is said that Calvert hooked this over the wall, climbed up, then pulled up the pipe, and hooking it the other way, climbed down. Another story has it that Calvert tied a hay hook to a pair of leather horse reins and tossing the hook over the wall climbed up the reins.
Although prison authorities do not confirm this, it is said that a guard and eight other prisoners were in the stables with Calvert at the time he made his get away. Calvert was sent up to the hay loft to thrown down hay and after a few minutes others were sent into the loft but could not locate the man.
Inspector E. R. Jackson of the Penitentiary Branch Department of Justice, who is in charge of building the Preferred Class Penitentiary at Collins Bay, and Warden J. C. Ponsford of Kingston Penitentiary are both in the Peterboro district with as many men as they can muster. Farmers of the district armed with forks and firearms are also keeping a sharp lookout.
Tore Out Wiring Another rumour which purports to come from a reliable source explains the means employed by Calvert to make his get away from Kingston Penitentiary in the early hours of Wednesday morning. According to the latest story being given credence, Calvert had been preparing to make his escape for some time and to this end had dug away the concrete around an electric conduit. In the ceiling of the hay-loft. The wiring from the conduit was used to make a rope with which the wall was scaled and the conduit bent into the hook which caught on the top of the wall and enabled Calvert to scale the wall.
A further story tells of an automobile which was parked In the vicinity of the top of the Penitentiary Hill on King street between the hours of 6.30 a.m. and 7 o’clock on Wednesday morning. Suspicion is centred on this vehicle.
It is understood that there are no guards on the penitentiary walls until 7 a.m. and thus a man scaling the wall In the dark of very early morning could not be spotted by these look-out men.

Brandon Robert Gott, 47, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away Sept. 14, 2021, with his family by his side. He had the privilege of meeting his Savior, Jesus Christ, when he entered his heavenly home. Family is comforted knowing they will see him again one day, as will all those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus.
Brandon was born Sept. 29, 1973, in Kansas City, Missouri, to David and Dorthy Gott. He attended Tri-City Christian School and graduated in 1992. He then attended Bob Jones University and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications in 1996. It was here that he met his wife, Lora. They married on Aug. 10, 1996, and had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
Brandon started his career the fall of 1996 at the Kansas City Police Department as a 911 call-taker, dispatcher then supervisor of the communications unit. In 2006 he was hired at Sprint using his 911 experience to streamline various telecommunication projects. After spending some time learning the art of roasting coffee, he decided to make a career change in 2011 and opened Barista de Casa Coffee Shop in downtown Liberty. He eventually opened a second location inside the Woodneath Library until the pandemic closed his doors the spring of 2020.
Brandon loved connecting people together. It was his passion and he was gifted in the area of networking. There is no doubt that there are many people in the community who have met because Brandon introduced and connected them. His life was spent helping people in many ways. At the coffee shops, he was able to minister to several people by listening to them, encouraging them and sharing the love of Christ. This was one of his greatest joys in life, to be used by God to help others and brighten their day.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Lora (Hendrix) Gott; children Trenton Michael Gott, Blake David Gott and Lily Kay Gott; mother Dorthy Gott; sister Michelle Davis (Paul) of Kansas City; brother Anthony Gott of Kansas City; and several loved nephews and nieces.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, David Gott, and his grandparents.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 at Liberty Christian Fellowship at 1815 W. Liberty Drive, Liberty, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20 at White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, Missouri. All are welcome to attend both.
The service will be available for livestream at https://www.facebook.com/LCFLiberty/
