#kingdom hearts#kh#kh kairi#kh xion#kh namine#i don't really feel proud of my own stuff usually but#i really think this is the drawing i'm most proud of from this past year!! it made me think 'oh maybe i can draw' haha#i'm still kinda bad with colors but something clicked with this one. and i feel like i got the sentimental feeling i wanted!#ooh but this project's about flower symbolism so ramble incoming:#protea symbolizes resilience transformation and diversity; hollyhock means 'please remember me.'#so my general theme was finding a sense of self.#these 3 have struggled with finding their own identity; they tend to get left behind both in-universe and in general plotwise#and naminé and xion both resemble kairi and were overshadowed by her memory. but i feel like all 3 have transformed into their own people#xion and naminé have their faces covered partially by hollyhock to show their wish to be remembered for who they are-#instead of the parts that they share with someone else#and the protea bouquets show how they each held on and resiliently grew into their own person despite it all#i put a little swervy path on the hill behind kairi to give that hopeful sense of growth and moving forward. it's a little hard to see#hopefully that makes sense! i really love symbolism but i think in visuals so i'm really bad with words#but gosh working with everyone on this project was so fun. it was like impossible not to get swept up by the team's hype for this zine#i need to hunt down everybody's work and rb it#ohh and everybody's flowers are so crisply drawn it's insane!! i think if i lined all these flowers and leaves i'd die haha#fan art#my art#project stuff

Long time no see! Had to reanimate the sprites I already made because I figured out my game engine and animation software can work hand-in-hand.
Behind the scenes, I noticed that I tended to move faster sketching each sprite out (and then coloring and animating later) than trying to finish one whole sprite before moving onto the next one.
Anyways, here are some of the sprite sketches I've worked on.

Introduction: Vampirism is no easy existence and will certainly not be long endured by the weak-willed, faint of heart, or squeamish. Fledglings who lack the knowledge or means to satisfy their all-consuming thirst and guard against their newfound weaknesses are far less likely to survive the initial stages of transformation, in which the craving for blood threatens to override all capacity for self-control. If they find themselves lucky enough to be under the tutelage of an intelligent and attentive sire, young vampires can not only mature but thrive for many centuries in their strange new forms. However, the presence of such a devoted mentor is not always guaranteed. Therefore, this book aims to serve as an instructional guide to attending to one’s needs and harnessing one’s abilities for those newly turned vampires who find themselves without a teacher.

#ts4#sims 4#sims 4 story#ts4 story#simblr#story: hzid#helena zhao#idk how obvious i've made it but helena's been stuck in her dark form since transforming#but in my interpretation it's more like super vampire mode than another form altogether#i see it as a switch inside vampires that flicks on when they attack or otherwise draw intensely on their powers but is usually off#but for new vampires it's activated a lot more because they're always in survival mode and helena didn't know how to turn it on/off at will#i hope that makes sense!#it's hard to get across visually bc the difference is so subtle and the details don't always show up

CYBERHYENAS!
Companions I designed for Lockdown based on the AoE Steeljaws plus Megafauna suggested to me by @sug4r-melon ! Not a perfect design tbh but it works-- And made me try fun shenanigans with them:
Because they still retain behaviors from their wilder origins (similar to our modern cats are still miniature fierce predators) in contrast to other types of cybertronian pets, to "program" them properly their owner needs... to start from the very beginning AKA HYENA CUBS!
Yes, like that!
Don't worry... they get better.
Awww! ... Until Prowl arrives with his ability to tame any creature (to Lockdown's chagrin)
"I'll take the kids and leave" becomes a common threat to the bounty hunter if he tries to shoo away the pets x'D
EDIT: The Hyenids got names btw!!! Originally Lockers put something to cryptic so, Prowl renamed them based on flowers and their meanings:
(Astra)Galus: "Your presence softens my pain."
(Jon)Quil: "Return my affection; desire."
Magno(lia): "Perseverance; Love of nature."
Lockdown of course ignores completelly this and calls them in short forms for making his life easy.
That's all! I'm tired of waiting the time to paint these how I wanted and my artblock just GRRRRs at me so... There, hope is enjoyable anyways 🐺💚
