Traitor Spooker AU

Yippee explanation time!

The main premise of this AU is "What if Spooker was a part of D.I.E?" He does have a motive by Ghost hating him for seemingly no reason, and he would be the easiest target for Cranky to convince. So how would it play out?

Throughout the years, Ghost has been nothing but an asshole to Spooker for no reason, and despite Colin's (and sometimes Toast) best efforts to soothe his hurt feelings, his patience is starting to wear thin.

So after one big argument between the two, Spooker heads off outside to cool off and calm down. Only he bumps into Cranky. Thinking it's Ghost at first, he tells him to go away, he doesn't want to talk to him right now, but looks up when he gets a reply of, "what? I'm not Ghost." and realises that oops! That's not Ghost.

Cranky looks a little concerned for Spooker and asks what's wrong, and Spooker spills out about the argument. Cranky suggests coming around to his house to calm down in peace, and Spooker agrees.

At his house, Spooker talks about what started it, but by the end it becomes a kind of rant/vent about how much shit Ghost gives him. Cranky suggests joining DIE as a kind of revenge. After all, wouldn't it be nice to get your own back at him for everything he's done to you? It takes a bit of convincing but Spooker agrees to joining with one condition: he's joining to get back at Ghost, not to disband P.I.E.

So for a few months he's a spy for D.I.E, smuggling out important folders and any extra info. Cranky is alot nicer than Ghost. Sure he has moments where he shouts at him, but at least he stops and apologies for it! It is a little awkward during the meetings since you know... Billy is there... And the guy in his basement technically works for P.I.E. but it's fiiiine! It's great!

It's... Actually a little bit better than how P.I.E treated him. Here he's listened to and given credit, which is something that he rarely got before. Maybe... Maybe Cranky has a point.

Cranky also gives him more responsibilities as he starts to trust him more and more, something Spooker never got back at P.I.E. He even gets his own personal mission: get P.I.E cornered.

He takes a chance where during a mission turned dangerous, Spooker deliberately starts sabotaging their progress. Starting small with a slight change in direction, and getting bolder and bolder until it culminates into deliberately sounding the alarm, which gets Cranky's attention and after some back and forth, he strikes.

During the scuffle, Ghost grabs Spooker and demands to know what he's playing at. Spooker angrily yells back the reason why: he treats him like an Idiot! Cranky gave him the basic respect he deserves, something he never did! Why the hell would he help someone who sees him as scum?!

P.I.E manages to escape and regroup. They're a little bit shaken, but alive and missing one. Spooker is worried about Cranky's reaction to this, but instead of Cranky blaming him, he just says that there's always a next time and takes him back to D.I.E's base. It wasn't his fault they got away after all.

So yeah, Spooker has turned to the dark side. Yay!

Compared to my other AU, this one is alot more story driven, and alot is left out such as Colin's and Toast's reaction, and the dynamics within D.I.E that I hope I can explore later. Hope you liked it :>

"Oh God, no..."

What was supposed to be a simple mission got unraveled into something else entirely. It ended with Spooker horrified at the results.

This artwork was originally supposed to be a challenge for myself to work on the background for once, and I felt like drawing Spooks in a not okay state. This wasn't supposed to be canon to the AU in any way, but an idea sprung into mind about this scenario happening later down the story as I was drawing this.

Needless to say, I'm proud with what I accomplished with this challenge, especially the blurred background at the far end and the texturing. I might not be able to go into this amount of detail every time, but it's good for me :)

Yeah, the Johnnies did not get along in Cranky's Dimension.

At best they could tolerate each other; at worse Nora had to keep them in separate teams so they wouldn't argue.

Even now, with his Dimension destroyed, he doesn't like Toast, and thinks Ghost seriously needs to rethink his relationship with the Brit.

"You keep going on and on about how Toast was the worst-"

New character time! Meet Cranky's half-sister, Nora.

Nora was born a few years before Cranky, after her mother and Timothy had been divorced. When she met her baby half-brother Johnny, she instantly fell in love.

Despite both their mothers being on sour terms with each other, they became inseparable throughout school and the starting of P.I.E. she was the one who convinced Mary and,later, Johnny to join (something she later came to regret)

Sadly, she didn't survive the dimension being blown apart. If Cranky could trade places with Nora that day, he would - maybe she could've stopped it.

"well, yeah... But-"

"No... N-No he doesn't."

Weeks after, Colin and Spooker bump into each other late at night. He tries to get an explanation for why they're working for Cranky still, but Spooker keeps dodging the question.

Disappointed with the lack of answers, he leaves, but not before telling Spooker that if they need somewhere to go, his door is always open:

"Just don't get yourself killed, please."

Since everyone is doing ask blogs, does anyone want to send one of my taleblr AU asks?

I'll be doing this later with my Traitor Spooker AU on this blog since the RW/VT crossover is wayyy too big for me to handle and I'm terrified of making a new one because I don't remember my password and there's a good chance I'll somehow get locked out of this one. Plus it's just easier to have it in one place under a tag instead of jumping between two

The ones able to be asked will be D.I.E (Cranky, Spooker, Billy, Calculus) but possibly others as well - that's not a grantee however; it depends on how meny I'm able to run at once

While Ghost has to deal with Casket, Cranky doesn't. It's one of his meny questions involving the day his dimension blew apart. Did they merge or did they die but somehow didn't take Cranky down with him? Or are they still alive somewhere else?

As much as he would like to have a chat to the Jimmy of this dimension, either for blackmail or recruitment, he's not stupid to just waltz up to them and go "Hey". Plus he's not risking anyone from D.I.E to try instead: Billy is basically a ball of squidge, and Spooker has already has run in with them. Maybe Calculus, but he'd probably just offend them.

Ghost is very much aware of his paranormal parasite, but has no clue on how to really deal with them other than to avoid blood and triggering things. However, since Cranky's attack and Spooker's desertion, he's been noticing some patterns - and suspecting there's something that Jimmy has been investigating themself.

Also I think Jimmy looks better in blue light so here's one with the lighting swapped

Figured I should show the difference between Ghost and Cranky.

I wanted them to have subtle differences between each other, stuff that you'd probably chalk up to misremembering, such as a whiter tail and different eye colour. Of course, the glitches give Cranky away, so it's not perfect.

I just remembered that the whole reason Billy has wings was because he stole Papa's Card and just got them off Amazon. That's fucking hilarious.

I didn't like how I originally designed Ghost, so I gave him a redesign

Now he's got more scars :>

And some remade lore for how he got them! In short: CBF

While in my headcannon he wasn't Gregory (that was Jimmy), CBF still got a hold on him when he was very young during a family trip in the woods. It was cut short by his dad fighting her off, but it only led to her anger snapping and her lashing out

His father was killed, and Ghost fled only to end up brutalised when she caught up to him. Surprisingly, he managed to survive, limping his way to a trail and following it to town before passing out to blood loss.

He woke up a day later in a hospital very pale and with no memory of what happened. And his mother never spoke about that night.

Most of his injuries healed up over time, but his body was too deep to heal without scarring, and he kept picking at his face and wrist which meant it never healed properly.

As an adult, Ghost chocks them up to injuries he got during missions, but they're a mystery to him, much like alot of things in his very faded past.
