Teru: I,,,, s,,somft,,
Warnings: None. This is just a cute tickle fanfic with Lee!Mob and Ler!Teru. Can be viewed as platonic or romantic. Around 2.000 words.
[~*~]
Watching that movie was a mistake.
Except for the part where Teruki got bored with the plot holes - which, together with the roterist's lazy shortcuts to get all the movie's conflicts resolved in less than ten minutes, ignoring completely that they still had 45 minutes left of story to tell, created the perfect setting to enjoy some procrastinating time with a good company - and decided he absolutely needed to stretch himself across Shigeo's lap, looking at him with the corner of his eye to see if he perceived any kind of discomfort with him by the other.
Shigeo's attentive and neutral eyes turned down to watch him back. "Do you want to watch something else?"
The lack of anything but mild curiosity that painted his tune made Teru relax, slightly adjusting himself to be more comfortable and smiling nonchalantly while focusing again at the screaming protagonist on the screen. "Nah. It's fine."
"Ok."
It was calm, the silence that bathed them. Teru felt more than saw the other's hand hovering above his head. Although he didn't allow himself to externally react to it.
"Teruki." He hummed in reply, laziness already beginning to fog his brain and trying to coach him to sleep. He kind of wanted to finish watching the movie with Shigeo, though. "Can I touch your hair?"
"Uh, sure. Go for it."
So, watching that movie was a mistake. Not because it was bad or poorly made. Not because Mob's careful but still very present touch combing his hair made him feel so relaxed and boneless he was afraid he would slip from the couch at any moment. Not even because he realized how... soft this moment was, how soft Shigeo was, even when their first contact, when Teru's first contact with him was much more aggressive and unkind than what he was being shown now.
No, none of these were the reason for the incorrigible mistake that was made that day.
Actually, the moment Teruki realized that something was happening it was already too late to intervene.
Because the scene was already playing on the screen.
Not any scene.
A tickle scene.
And Teru made the mistake of looking up at Shigeo at this exact moment.
His friend was still concentrating on the movie, hand still playing with his hair and... the corner of his mouth was turned upwards. He was smiling.
That was when Teru realized two things:
1. He has never seen Mob laugh or giggle.
2. He really, really needed to be the reason of his smile.
The question slipped before he could think too much about it.
“Are you ticklish, Mob?”
Maybe it was because of his way-too-casual tune, or because the calm moment made Shigeo lower his barriers, but the answer jumped from the tip of Mob’s tongue before he even realized it.
“Yes.”
The blonde could easily notice how, even before the word was completely out, Shigeo realized the trap he was walking into, turning to look at him with alarmed eyes, so Teru didn’t waste too much time. With a predatory grin his fingers jumped to his sides, dancing and scratching from left to right, up and down, effectively searching and finding any and every weak spot where he could latch on and prevent the other from even thinking in payback before he managed to pull at least a single stray giggle.
His worries were, however, unfounded, since the moment the Kageyama’s wide eyes noticed his attack, his entire body tried to curl on itself, arms hugging his torso and legs trying and failing to go up to protect his middle due Teru still being laid on them.
And then, Mob began to shake.
Teru’s fingers faltered, an unpleasant cold fear suddenly appearing on his mind, the fear that he was too rough, too sudden, too close. That he went too far,  overstepped his friend’s boundaries and just made the strongest person he ever known cry for a stupid personal desire.
His eyes then ran to the other’s face, hands still hovering in the air, when he saw it.
Shigeo’s cheeks were puffed out, his eyes were closed, his previous smile now much bigger stretching along his face.
Teru blinked, a bit stunned. The shaking had stopped.
Hm.
He experimentally brought his hands back to his friend’s torso, now skittering along his ribs, index fingers lightly drumming on the space between each one while his thumbs drew circles on the highest ones, the tip of his fingers getting dangerously close to his highest ribs.
Shigeo began shaking again, shoulders jumping up and down just the slightest amount (Teru was sure that if they weren’t that close, he wouldn’t even realize) and small huffs and puffs of air that sounded suspiciously close to muffled yelps made the blonde realize with delight that Shigeo wasn’t just shaking, he was beaming due the amount of giggles and belly laughter he was trying to hide.
That piece of knowledge made his smirk come back at full force, his tickles getting more enthusiastic with this revelation. Now, that just won’t do.
“Come on, Kageyama, you can’t keep them inside forever.” A snort escaped from his tight pressed lips, body swaying a bit to the left when Teruki’s efforts began walking in the direction of his armpits.
Seeing his reaction, the blond decided he wanted to be mean, so he taunted the other by tapping his fingers right on the border of his armpits, just light enough to send tickly tingles where he touched, nerves buzzing with the prospect that he could strike at any moment.
“See? That is already one. You just need to free the rest of them! Let all the high pitched giggles, embarrassing squeaks, cute snorts and melodious laughter come tumbling right out. I promise I won’t break your serious guy façade to everyone we know.”
His teases were accompanied by a couple of pokes to the tickle spot, which made Shigeo duck his head and try to press his mouth on his shoulder, his low, quiet reactions being successfully hidden with it, his bounces getting stronger with the (honestly unfair) mix of silly tickles and taunting teases.
Suddenly, Teru had an idea. It was a risky bet, more than anything. But it could work.
He kept the flow of pokes, slowly increasing the speed bit by bit. “Bet you will feel much better once they’re all out,” Poke. Poke. Poke poke. Poe poke poke.  “don’t you think? To just let it go and laugh and laugh and laugh.” Pokepokepokepokepokepoke.
Mob didn’t answer, the sensation and words making him want to both crawl off his skin (Teru wasn’t even full tickling him yet, how such soft touch could be so maddening-) and not laugh so they could extend that playful moment for longer.
Teru let out his best impression of an evil snicker, lifting himself just a bit more and...
His mouth was now close to Shigeo’s ears.
Perfect.
“Unless you want me to tickle it all out of you.”
As soon as the words filled the room, his hands dug on the armpits, vibrating and unmercifully attacking the so-protected tickle spot with plenty of scratches and scribbles while he blowed weakly at the - now completely red - ears, hoping his assumption that they were ticklish was right and he wasn’t just making a fool of himself.
A surprised and surprisingly loud, high pitched wheeze was his answer and, before the silence could stretch across the room, a waterfall of sounds followed it. Snorts, yelps, squeaks, squeals, titters and an adorably adorable hiccuped laughter began flowing freely from the one with raven hair and they filled every inch of the room, stunning the blonde so much that he almost ceased his attack.
Instead, he pried his hands from under Mob’s arms and shot them upwards, targeting the, as it seems, incredibly and awfully sensitive spot right behind Shigeo’s ears, letting them dance and draw senseless forms on them, skittering the shells and sometimes letting the tickles slip a bit too close to his neck.
A pure and warm delight exploded on his chest when he watched how such a simple thing made Mob throw his head backwards, not even bothering to try to hide the low and fast giggles that spilled in flocks from him, shoulders still bouncing and trying - even if halfheartedly - to press on his ears and save them from the unfair and unexpected attack.
“So your ears really are ticklish.” It wasn’t even a tease now, Teru was so lost in the realization that this was laughter, this was his serious friend, this was the strongest person in the universe laughing and enjoying himself, this was his attentive friend giggling uncontrollably and non stop because of a few silly tickly tickles, that he even forgot to add that snarky, taunting tune in his words, just letting the fun of the moment carry both of them away.
“Yes.” The word was almost unrecognizable when said in between so many titters. Teru’s hands began to explore his neck, tap-tap-tapping non stop from the spot right under his chin to his shoulders, creating tickly, tingly paths wherever he went and Mob knew that the spot wasn’t even that ticklish in the first place, but in this moment it didn’t fail to fish plenty of squeaky yelps from him. His hands shot to hold the sleeves of Teru’s shirt, not really pulling them away. “Teheheru. It t-tihihickles.”
And that was the exact moment Teruki Hanazawa realized he had made an incorrigible mistake.
Because now he wouldn’t ever, ever be able to live without listening at least once again to his name being said in between those bouncy giggles and huffed titters.
Or without seeing that gigantic smile taking over Shigeo’s face. Or the way his cheeks were still puffed out even though the laughter kept falling and filling the air. Or the way the tip of his ears were starting to be painted in a lovely shade of red. Or how low and silly his laughter was. Or how...
Oh.
Oh.
Teru was the one who walked straight to a trap here, wasn’t he?
He felt his grin turning into something much more soft than playful, and tried to pull his smirk again, not being sure if he was successful or not. Fortunately enough, Mob still didn’t open his eyes or he would, without doubt, see the shine that took over his gaze.
“It is supposed to tickle, Kageyama. This is the whole deal here, you know?” He snickered in amusement, lowering his arms to give the boy’s knees a few experimental squeezes, being gifted with a snort at every single one. “But, I must say, I didn’t think you would be so, so ticklish. Maybe we should change your nickname from Mob to Giggle Storm.” Teru wormed one hand to under his knees, slightly pinching the sensitive skin there while the other one kept squeezing the kneecap, the mix of soft and rough tickles creating a stronger hiccuped laughter and low, high pitched giggles, as if to prove his words. “Or maybe Hiccup King, it would be very fitting, right?”
Mob only shook his head, heat flooding across his entire face, body starting to get too tired to keep his beaming and tears beginning to gather in the corner of his eyes. A couple of squeaks escaped from his lips and he tried, once again, to curl his torso, resting his forehead on Hanazawa, who was still on his legs.
A privileged position that the blonde didn’t even think twice before fully exploiting. Shigeo could only get a glimpse of Teru taking a deep breath before shoving his face on his stomach and giving him a huge raspberry.
Another loud, wheezing sound briefly floated in the air before being cut and replaced by full silent belly laughter, one or two hiccups appearing here and there before the one with raven hair fell again in silence.
When the maddening, tickly vibrations were over - even if the buzzing kept dancing across his torso and making the other spots tickle in empathy - Mob put his hands on the other’s shoulders and pushed it away, his arms feeling more wobbly and noodly than normal, as if he had just went through another exercise from the Body Improvement Club. Teru took a look at the few tears running on his cheeks and the gigantic smile on his lips before chuckling and ceasing his attack.
For a moment, they just stayed like that. Shigeo taking deep breaths and slowly stopping the flow of quiet titters that remained dancing around them. Teruki realized that the movie had ended a long time ago.
"Uh, sorry if I went too far. Just... It really looked like you were having fun." The playful tease left his grin before he even realized it.
"I was." The certitude in his tune, the direct way he didn't even seem phased by the whole tickle attack and tease he just received beyond a light redness taking over his cheeks and a smile still adorning his face... Mob was really something else.
In his place, Teru would probably still be a mess of peals of laughter and pleas of mercy. Actually, cross that, his soul would have flown away from his body the moment he received that raspberry.
"I don't mind being tickled. It's fun."
"Heh." Teru's smile got even bigger, losing somewhat its smirk, sincerity dripping freely in his tune. "That is cute."
Mob considered his words, not saying anything to agree or disagree to it.
A comfortable silence fell on them once more.
"I also don't mind getting revenge."
"Ah- wAIT-"

(shigeo, ritsu, teru)
summary: being caught in the middle of a rivalry is exhausting, especially when the rivalry is about you.
a/n: merry christmas, @lee-lucius !! i was your secret santa this year :) and thanks to hypah @squealing-santa for hosting <3
[this is a sfw tickle fic!]
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
Shigeo isn’t popular. He’s been told that before; Reigen’s made it very clear, at least. He’s well aware that he has a small group of friends, but he’s fine with that. He doesn’t exactly like when lots of attention is on him, it overwhelms him.
So, he’s not used to being fought over.
“You have an unfair advantage.” Teruki sits behind him, arms wrapped around Shigeo’s waist and pulling him into his lap. His head is resting on Shigeo’s shoulder. “You live together.”
“That doesn’t mean we’re always spending time with each other.” Ritsu sits across from them, leaning against the wall, arms crossed.
“But you’ve known each other all your lives!” Teru huffs.
Shigeo stays out of their argument, embarrassed and unsure what to say. He instead leans his head slightly against Teru’s and focuses on the feel of the steady thumping of the blond’s heart.
“If Shige liked you more, that wouldn’t matter,” Ritsu retorts.
Teru makes a hmph noise. “But that’s still not fair! Right, Shigeo?”
Ritsu narrows his eyes. “Shigeo?”
Teru’s heartbeat speeds up. “Ah. U-um.”
“It’s fine,” Shigeo interrupts, before either of them can say anything more. “You don’t have to fight.”
“Shi—” Teru cuts himself off with a glare in Ritsu’s direction. “He’s right. There’s no need to fight over this.”
Ritsu nods. “Right. Glad you realised how wrong you are.”
Shigeo sighs and prepares himself for a long day.
It becomes a competition of who knows Shigeo better. Ritsu, naturally, is winning, although Teru continues to protest against the advantage that he has. Shigeo tunes them out, not bothering to pay any attention. He doesn’t even realise that they’re asking him a question until Teru pokes him to get his attention.
“C’mon! Answer!”
Shigeo blinks back into reality. “Ah, Teru—” (“Teru,” mouths Ritsu, gaping at the use of not only Teru’s first name, but his nickname) “—cut that out, please.” He swats Teru’s hands away lightly before looking up. “Um. What were you asking?”
Ritsu shakes his head to clear his obviously many thoughts and questions. “We just wanted to know—”
“Are you ticklish, Shigeo?”
Please stop calling me that, you’ll give Ritsu a stroke, Shigeo thinks, before the question registers. “Huh?”
Teru pokes him again, gentler this time. “Or are you hurt? You’re not hurt, are you?”
“N-no, I’m fine.”
Ritsu leans in, looking interested. “I didn’t think you were still ticklish, Shige.”
Their attention is suddenly entirely on him. He squirms a bit. “U-um, what was the que—aha!” He jolts, and Teru giggles beside his ear.
“Oh, you are!” He turns to Ritsu. “See, I bet I know more about where he’s ticklish than you do!”
Before Shigeo could point out that actually, neither of them had known anything about it until just a moment ago, Teru’s fingers spring into action, and then Shigeo is too busy with his sudden fit of laughter.
He covers his mouth with his hand, curling up. “W-wahahait!” he protests quietly at the feeling of Teru scribbling over his stomach.
“Just admit it, Shigeo,” Teru says, and Shigeo can feel the outline of his smile from where the blond’s cheek is touching his, his chin resting on Shigeo’s shoulder. “I know you better.”
“He can’t admit something if it’s not true.” Ritsu’s voice is suddenly much closer than before, and then an extra set of hands are squeezing his knees.
Teru grumbles. “Go on,” he tells Shigeo. “Which of us do you like better?”
“Th-thahahat wahasn’t the quehehestion!” Shigeo squeals, batting at the assaulting hands but otherwise not fighting back much.
“No, it wasn’t,” Ritsu agrees, “because the answer is obviously—”
“Bohohoth! Both of yohou!”
The two of them pause instantly. Teru is the first to speak up.
“...Both?”
Shigeo nods, catching his breath. “B-both…I like you both.”
They look at each other, and for a moment Shigeo thinks they'll finally stop arguing. And then —
“That's not the right answer, Shige.” Four hands are back to tormenting him, and the noise Shigeo makes is not a squeal… but it is pretty damn close.
“Wait, wait, wahahait!”
This continues for a while — all three of them know that Shigeo could never actually pick a favourite between the two of them. The arguing is just for fun, and it’s a silent agreement that the tickling is because Shigeo needs to smile more often.
But when Shigeo pleads for them to stop, they both freeze instantly; because much like he cares about them too much for his own good, they love him too much to keep tormenting him. A smile being forced from you isn’t a true smile, after all.

Fucked Up Tk Shit
This is for my own edification so no one else has to read this lol. I feel like a lot of times we twist headcannons to make the Thing work out for characters in media that we consume, ESPECIALLY in regards to superpowers, and because I’m a morbid little piece of shit I can’t help self-destructing those in my head as to how it would end in actuality
So, I have constructed a list of all the horrifying/angsty ways those headcannons would probably actually end if you applied it to the logic of the show/book. It is put under a read more because I did not hold back lol.
Trigger warns for death, injury, and non-con (I know the tk community is a safe space for escapism for a lot of people, including me usually, so I recommend not reading it if you would be easily hurt by negative connotations in association with the thing; I cope by imagining the worst possible scenarios that the Thing could end in, so that’s most of the reason why I made this, for explanation ahsfjhji)
1. BNHA
- Denki probably has to hold back anytime he’s tickled and ends it almost immediatelly, because getting too out of control could make his powers act up and force him to accidentally electrocute someone and risk seriously hurting them
2. The Bright Sessions
- Subscribing to the headcannon that Damien does like the Thing, his powers would act up and force people to tickle him, so he does his level best to repress that shit down because even if the other people did want to tickle him, the sheer amount of times that his powers would make them do it would become very non-consensual on his parts. Especially if they realize what’s happening, or know about his powers, and get freaked out and leave him, making him only feel shittier about the whole situation
- Mark would most likely get freaked out over tickling as it makes him lose control. There’s probably been a couple moments where he’s tentatively let Sam or someone try it, and every time he freaks out, which isn’t great, because it forces him to teleport if he’s around her, and,,,, yeah
- Joan hasn’t been touched, let alone tickled, in years on end, and would self-combust if given even the slightest modicum of affection in that area. Probably engaged in tickle fights with Mark when she was little, and though she understands why the subject makes him uncomfy now, she can’t help but feel remorse at losing that form of connection with her brother
- [I was gonna do Caleb and Adam but I simply can’t fuck them up, I love them too much]
- Damien doesn’t ever tickle people because he can’t be sure if he’s forcing them to hold still and say they like it or if they actually want it
3. Beastars
- If Legoshi was tickled by Haru, they run the risk of him accidentally seriously hurting/biting her off instinct, similar to when they tried to bang it out, and it’s possible he might accidentally fling her into something or knock her off too hard while trying
4. Durarara
- If Shizuo were to tickle someone, he might accidentally crush in their ribcage or some shit due to not realizing his own strength
- Izaya probably does like tickling but does not have a single person who would be willing to do that to him, and the only other person who knows, Shinra, has called it weird and forced Izaya to repress the interest more
5. Mob Psycho 100
- Shigeo probably isn’t ticklish, or at least doesn’t really laugh and react like his friends do, and he feels a supreme sense of jealousy every time he watches his friends engaging in silly tickle fights
6. AOT
- Due to the sheer amount of trauma Levi has induced and his feelings around trusting others and touch in general, being tickled would probably send him into a full blown panic attack
7. Be More Chill
- The Squip definitely made fun of Jeremy for liking tickling and he had the whole zappy thing happen whenever he thought about it
8. All For The Game
- Both Neil and Andrew probably can’t stand being tickled without it triggering something in them
9. Camp Camp
- Max definitely has never been tickled in his life, and doesn’t even know what it feels like
10. Detroit: Become Human
- As much as I hate to say it (and will definitely be writing fics claiming the opposite), androids can’t feel sensation and therefore wouldn’t be ticklish or ever get to experience that
11. Gorillaz
- If Murdoc were to tickle 2d, it would most likely be in an abusive, non-con way, often going far past his limits and ignoring any pleas for him to stop, purely for shits and giggles because he’s an asshole
12. Inside Job
- Bear-O had a tickle setting on him that would engage whenever he thought Reagan needed cheering up, and it traumatized her so bad that she can’t handle that kind of physical contact anymore
- Since he was a child, Brett was told by his family that it was weird that he liked tickling, as well as by peers and past girlfriends, so he just assumes that it must be just a weird Him thing, and has a huge amount of shame around the issue
13. Fullmetal Alchemist
- Sometimes Alphonse will stay up late and try to somehow replicate the feeling of tickling through his armor and can’t help the disappointment he feels every time when it obviously doesn’t work
That’s all I can think of for right now, I’m sure there are more but they’re not coming to me right now.

Finally posting these general Mob Psycho tickle headcanons I've had lying around!! Starting with the brothers ever, Mob and Ritsu :]
word count: ~560
☆☆☆
Shigeo 🌻
-switch, primarily lee but not afraid to initiate when he's comfortable, mostly tickles Ritsu as a playful bonding activity (he tends to lose those fights, though)
-not actually very ticklish, hardly laughs when tickled which he is self conscious about, rougher tickles just don't work on most places aside from squeezing hips and knees (probably like a 2.5/10)
-but certain sweet spots can get some laughs out of him; they're mostly silent giggles broken apart by hiccups and occasionally a snort
-hardly protests either, he has no real self preservation skills when it comes to ticklish sensations (he was hardly ever tickled after the incident with Ritsu when they were younger, so he never built a real tolerance to it. Their parents really didn't do it much either. First person to tickle him after a while was actually Reigen)
-Teru probably tickles him the most (besides Ritsu ofc), and sometimes Tome or Tsubomi as well
-Only close people can really tickle him mainly bc others just don't know how and also it makes him very uncomfortable
-mostly curls in on himself and clings to his ler or anything nearby
-teasing doesn't actually do much unless you know how, but compliments will get him blushing very hard (Teru is an expert at this)
-type of kid to respond "Yehes!" when a ler asks if it tickles, or just outright state "Ihit tickles!" (Reigen is a big fan of responding with "Well yeah, it's supposed to.")
-once it gets close to being too much his powers may act up slightly and accidentally lift himself/his ler and objects around them
-good spots are neck/behind his ears !!! also lower sides, underneath his knees, and surprisingly his hands are really ticklish
Ritsu 📚
-very much switch, not afraid to get revenge at all but he's definitely much more ticklish than Mob (he's probably like a 7/10)
-they start having more tickle fights again after Big Clean-Up arc; only other person that is really allowed to tickle him is Sho
-his proper laugh is boyish and sporadic, but high pitched in bad spots. certain spots get him very giggly though
-cannot handle teasing he will just continuously tell you to shut the hell up despite trying his hardest to bite back a smile bc he hates that it makes him giddy
-he gets SO embarrassed and he's so jumpy if you threaten to tickle him, yelps very loudly at fake outs
-will protest the whole way down despite having fun, whether or not he wants to admit it (he definitely will not to Sho)
-also goofy tickle games?? Explode. Counting his ribs will Send him
-def more of a squirmer than Mob, but once you hit his bad spots he nearly goes limp bc he doesnt have a tolerance either (none of these kids do theyre touch starved duh)
-arches his back and kicks his feet a lot on accident
-will probably punch you if you catch him off guard (Sho learned this the hard way. More than once. Because he forgot.)
-his powers have most definitely acted up while being wrecked too; the first time it happened was with Sho and he laughed so hard; Ritsu was incredibly embarrassed he would not stop pouting when teased about it
-later lets Takenaka tickle him as well once they get closer because I said so
-good spots are the spot just below his armpits and squeezing his knees !!! (shares the knees spot w Mob) also ribs and hips, plus his calves are actually pretty ticklish which is very entertaining

He was in his second year of university when he met Reigen (ReiMob, same age AU)
One Semester
Read on Ao3
Mob wouldn't really describe himself as insecure. Or at least not anymore.
He remembers his middle school years and how he'd always stutter and choke on his thoughts and words, especially anything regarding his childhood sweetheart Tsubomi. But there were many events in his short esper life that had helped him grow and before he knew it, he'd graduated high school and finally started university, and all of those insecurities had stayed in his past. Of course, that didn't mean he wasn't insecure sometimes even as an adult. Sometimes, when his new friends would invite him out, he'd stand in front of his bedroom mirror and ponder what to wear, unsure if he should put more effort into his looks. At other times, when, as Ekubo so kindly assured him he was being hit on he'd feel a flush on his face, confused as to why this could be true, and he'd once more trip over his words, but it was nothing compared to how he felt now
He was in his second year of university when he met Reigen
Normally, their classes wouldn't overlap since Reigen was a senior and in the business department, and Mob was still taking beginner classes as an undecided major, but they'd somehow picked the same elective course, and, Reigen with his affability, had pretty much charmed everyone. Especially Mob
So much that during their first month of classes together, Mob was sure he'd never been more embarrassed. His being an esper wasn't exactly a secret and he'd never particularly enjoyed showing off, especially after Tsubomi had lost interest in his powers, so he had kind of panicked when he'd lost a bit of control and made all the desks in the room float. Not even Ekubo's voice had been able to penetrate the haze he'd apparently been in. It was Reigen's exclamation that had brought him back to Earth, and with him, the desks as well, all of them falling with roaring thuds. Luckily nobody had been hurt, but Mob had been so sick, he'd missed the rest of his classes and even decided to skip the next day
He remembers Ritsu at his door trying to coax him out
Ekubo was the one who managed to get Mob back to class, that business kid, the one you like, he wants to see you
He really didn't want to, but he was also curious. His heart was racing, not just from the nervousness of seeing the guy he was currently crushing on (he remembers Ekubo's shocked face when Mob blushed during their introduction on their first day. He'd gone over to him and nearly screamed, Are you serious?! This one?!), but from the uncertainty of their conversation. What did Reigen want to tell him? Why did he want to see him? Was he mad? Upset? He was in business, Mob wasn't sure what career path, but perhaps he...Mob felt something get stuck in his throat...wanted to s-sue him? Damages? He vaguely remembers something similar happening when he was younger
Trying to figure out the reason was tougher than a test question with the "all or none of the above" option. Ekubo just picked his nose, claiming he didn't know either. He'd just heard the kid asking about Mob, but no he didn't seem upset
Mob had somehow sat through his classes, all of them, even as he felt a penetrating gaze at his back. After his classes, he'd walked to the quad and sat at a bench by the library entrance, waiting
"Mob!" he heard his name called out and when he looked up, there he was
Mob hadn't known Reigen for long, but the few times he'd seen him, Reigen was always wearing a suit. He'd never understood adults who wore them. They seemed constricting and stuffy, but the way Reigen looked in his suits somehow fit. The suits also made him look a bit older, more precise, and when he spoke, it seemed to give him more authority. People always listened to him, enraptured, not just by his voice but his body language, the flow of his hands, his confident stare
By then, perhaps because it was near the end of the day, the sun was nearly setting, Reigen had changed. He wasn't wearing a suit. Instead, he wore a white t-shirt and some grey sweatpants, a pair of sneakers on his feet. His hair was also slightly messy and Mob wasn't sure which Reigen he liked best, this one that looked softer and his rightful age, or the suited and more mature one
He barely registered Ekubo's, ugh, I'm heading home
"Hey," Reigen greeted him and Mob only nodded, then reminded himself that this was his chance to properly speak with him!
"H-Hi," he stuttered and felt his cheeks flush. Reigen only grinned
"I'm glad you came back to class. I thought maybe you'd drop the course. You seemed kind of...well, not okay that day when you left." There was an unspoken question in the air and Mob felt his body heat up remembering what happened. He swallowed the lump in his throat
"I'm o-okay," he assured, "I don't normally..." he made vague movements with his hands, "I was just d-distracted. It won't..." he took a deep breath to calm himself, "It won't happen again."
Reigen seemed to deflate a bit, "Wait, seriously? But that was so cool!"
Mob felt his heart skip a beat but he stayed firm, "I could have hurt someone."
Reigen frowned slightly, not upset, more so thoughtfully. He angled his hips for a moment, his hand on his chin, and then straightened out with a smile, "Hey, I know! Why don't you practice your powers with me!"
Mob could feel this was a bad idea, but the way Reigen's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm and knowing that they'd be interacting more if he said yes...
"O-okay," was his mumbled reply
----
After that, the two of them saw each other more frequently "to train" Mob's esper powers. He actually had stopped using his powers in middle school, preferring to hone his body and mind (or at least attempt to), which is probably why he struggled with some of the tasks Reigen gave him. Or perhaps it was because it was Reigen talking to him, smiling at him, touching his arm, throwing his arm around his shoulder, taking him out to eat, that had Mob at his limits. But if anything good came out of this, and Mob could list a few things, it was that Mob got used to Reigen. He still felt himself get nervous around the confident man, but at least he could speak without stuttering
The activities that Reigen came up with were usually childish and easy (like the time Reigen had Mob levitate some desks while he played loud music and sang along. He remembers Ekubo screaming about his ears and ok, Mob had to admit that Reigen couldn't hold a tune but he'd found it cute so while his ears did hurt for a bit, it was worth it. Or the time Reigen tried to tickle him while he concentrated on making water bubbles, except he wasn't ticklish. Mob would have counted this as a victory but then Ekubo went ahead and loudly exclaimed, careful, he's going to put his hands into your pants and Reigen's hands were a bit close to the edge of his pants and his concentration completely unbalanced and the water bubbles splashed them both. Ekubo couldn't stop laughing at how red Mob had gotten), so instead of training, Mob would often feel like they were just...hanging out
Ekubo would just roll his eyes, Shigeo, sometimes I wonder how you're twenty, you're so naive
He didn't really understand what Ekubo was trying to tell him but he knew these feelings for Reigen weren't "naive" or at least not always. He remembered the time Reigen, so perceptive, had noticed that Mob often "spaced out". Reigen had been slurping on some noodles, the broth getting all over his face and some, Mob noticed, sprinkling onto the table they sat at. "Not sure what's going on, but it's like, you're going to think I'm crazy, but it seems like you're listening to someone talk to you."
And Mob had confessed that that was exactly what he'd been doing. Reigen nearly choked from the excitement on his face, "Ghosts are real?! Can I talk to him?"
Ekubo hadn't liked the idea. For some reason, he'd never particularly liked Reigen and Mob had yet to figure out why, If he can't see me, he can't see me. Probably doesn't have even a spark of power. Mob had relayed the message and Reigen had just shrugged. He'd seemed nonchalant about the topic, but Mob, after spending so many evenings with him, had noticed the slight droop of his frame
After eating, the two decided to walk back to the dorms, but right before parting, Mob had taken Reigen's hand. Reigen had just looked at him curiously and Mob hoped and prayed his hands wouldn't suddenly start sweating too much, "I have an idea."
Mob pushed some of his own power into Reigen. He wasn't sure if it would work, but it was because of his own power that Ritsu's had manifested. Perhaps Ekubo was right and Reigen didn't have any abilities, but perhaps he did. Or perhaps he could temporarily share his own, just a tiny bit
Reigen's eyes grew wide as he felt Mob's esper powers flow into him and he couldn't help the grin and exclamation that escaped his lips, "He's a green blob! Can I touch him?"
Without waiting for a response or releasing Mob's hand, Reigen reached out towards Ekubo, who was Not Amused, "Hey! Hands off kid!" he floated behind Mob, "Shigeo, keep him away or I'll possess him!"
"Shigeo?" Reigen tilted his head, "He calls you by your first name?"
Mob felt his hand warm at the sound of his name coming from Reigen. He knew Reigen wasn't technically calling him but just hearing his name coming from his crush...he felt the butterflies again. Butterflies that quickly turned into a burning sensation as he imagined Reigen calling him Shigeo in a different context. He pulled his hand away and wiped them on his pants, having felt them start to sweat and become clammy. His face was red, he could feel it, but could also feel Ekubo's stare, Reigen's stare...it was too much and he excused himself. It was late, he had to go to bed, they had class the next morning
----
Sharing his power with Reigen was experimental. He hadn't ever done that before and he wasn't sure what the consequences would be. In the end, Reigen develops the ability to see Ekubo without Mob's help. There aren't any other spirits in the area so they can't really test out if perhaps Reigen can see or sense others. They decide that can be an experiment for another day. Instead, Reigen tries to befriend Ekubo, which doesn't exactly turn out well, but the two of them are civil. Mob is glad since Ekubo is his friend and Reigen, well, he likes Reigen
They become busier with school work as the semester starts coming to an end. All the teachers have surely conspired and Mob has too many final projects to go out with Reigen like they used to. This also means Reigen is busier since he's also taking his business core classes.
On the night of their last class, Reigen sends him a text, meet me at the quad
Mob checks the time, it's almost midnight, but he doesn't hesitate to put on a hoodie, slip on the closest pair of jeans, and head out. The moon is bright as he walks the block to the quad and a few people walk past him, taking a night stroll or heading home after a night of last-minute submissions. He doesn't pay much attention to them and when he finally reaches the quad, he sees a figure sitting on the ground, looking up at the sky. Reigen is wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. There's a curious design on the shirt that reminds Mob of Ekubo and he wonders if maybe Reigen bought it because of that. He smiles
"Reigen," he calls out, announcing his presence. Reigen leans back, tilting his head and smiles, patting the space beside him. Mob sits down, listens to the night creatures and the sound of the few cars passing by the school, the engines quiet and almost soothing. A few voices reach them but they are far enough away where the words don't register. It's a peaceful night
There is a sense of dread building in Mob's stomach. They only really started to hang out when they started taking this class, when Mob showed his powers, and while he now had Reigen's contact information, a part of him wondered if this was the end. Maybe Reigen wouldn't want to hang out with him anymore.
Mob wasn't usually this pessimistic but Ekubo had been kind enough to remind him that Reigen, if anything, was only interested in his powers, And you already showed him all you can do. He's probably gotten bored. For a moment, Mob wishes he had used his powers when he was younger, done what Ritsu and Ekubo had told him, but it's a thought that comes and goes. The use of his powers was something he has always been firm about and while these last few weeks have been fun and nothing has happened, Ritsu is the prime example that something can always go bad
After a while, Reigen finally speaks and Mob thinks that maybe there's sadness in his voice, "Today was the last day of classes, submissions too. Gah! I can't believe they didn't give us until the weekend, grades aren't even due until a few weeks from now."
"They do have to grade everything," he commented, not especially caring about the topic. If he had more time, there really wouldn't have been much of a difference
Reigen lets himself fall onto the ground, "I doubt they actually grade everything. There's too much!"
He's not expecting an answer and Mob doesn't really know what to say so they end up in silence again but only for a moment. Reigen turns to him, "Lay down next to me."
Mob feels himself grow warm under his sweater but does as Reigen says. They both lie on the grass and he knows and feels how close their hands are to touching. Ekubo had decided not to join them and he's glad for that. He's sure he would comment on how Mob is blushing, how loud his heart is beating, how his fingers twitch in anticipation, hoping there will be an excuse, anything, for them to close the distance (but of course, he can't really think of anything, the last time they held hands was because Reigen started running and didn't want to leave Mob behind, before that it was to check and see if Mob had started bleeding after falling, before that to forcefully hand him his payment for the ramen they had after classes, and before that-)
Reigen holds his hand. His hand is clammy and warm and soft, Is he nervous too? His heart is in his throat and ears and maybe even on his palm and he wonders if Reigen can feel it beating so quickly
"Hey Mob," he says softly, he's turned to look at Mob
Mob does the same, "Yes?" And he just stares at Mob for a moment and seems to nod to himself
"I, I don't usually eavesdrop you know," he started, "but I saw you with Ekubo the other day. I heard him saying...I heard him say I only hang out with you because of your powers." Mob feels Reigen squeeze his hand tighter, "So I decided not to see you this past week. I mean, I was also busy with school work and you were too but I was thinking too and I wanted to tell you something."
Mob can't look away and he nods, letting Reigen know he's listening, that he can continue.
Reigen takes a deep breath, "I like you!"
It's so sudden and loud that Mob freezes in place, his pulse skyrocketing, the confession echoing in his mind and he's confused as to how they went from talking about Ekubo and his powers, to suddenly being confessed to. Reigen looks down at their hands and just smiles, moves his fingers away and Mob doesn't want that. He feels like he can breathe again and he nervously grabs Reigen's retreating hand.
It's his turn now, "I-I like you!...too."
It's quiet for a moment and then Reigen laughs, his body relaxes, and he threads their fingers together, "I'm so glad! I'm so happy, can you feel it?" He's moved their hands onto his chest and Mob can feel how fast his heart is beating. Exactly like his
"Mine too," he confesses.
Reigen grins at him, leaves their hands on his chest but rearranges them so that it's more comfortable, "This is the best day," he all but whispers. Mob only catches it because he can't look away
"You know, the first time I saw you, I thought you were so cool," Reigen confesses, "Well, you're still cool but you're also really cute."
Mob feels like he's burning up again, "The time with the desks?"
Reigen turns to him, a bit of a blush on his face, and Mob is fascinated. Reigen doesn't really blush, not even when he gets nervous (not that he gets nervous often, he's very confident and knowledgeable), "Well, about that...actually, this is going to sound kind of weird but...that wasn't the first time I saw you..."
And now Mob is confused because he's pretty sure he would remember someone like Reigen
"You went to Salt Middle School, right?" he doesn't wait for Mob to answer but Mob nods, "Well, I have a friend who went there, and I went to see him. There was some event going on, I just remember a marathon, but he was faking being sick and kind of left me alone. I know, what kind of friend does that, right? Well, I was just walking around and I somehow ended up watching everyone run and then I saw you. Your knee was bleeding but you had this really determined look in your eyes, I think I heard someone say you eventually passed out but I really thought you were cool. That same friend mentioned you got into this university and I thought maybe we could be friends. Well, that was before I actually saw you."
He's grins at Mob, "After I saw you I knew I wanted to date you."
"D-Date?" Mob croaks out but then he pauses, that's the logical next step, right? If they both like each other then...
"Are we boyfriends now?" he asks quietly.
Reigen sits up and turns to Mob, "That's what I forgot! Yes! Do you want to be my boyfriend Shigeo Kageyama?"
Mob smiles. He sits up too, "Yes."
----
OMAKE (One year later)
Reigen finishes up the tidying and turns to Mob who is setting up the "counter" where he will mainly be taking payments. They don't have a lot in terms of starting capital so everything they've bought or scrounged up are the bare essentials. Reigen starts, "You know, you don't have to stop going to school. You could help part-time. I don't want your scary brother to think I stole you away or something."
Mob can't help but let out a small laugh at the almost accurate accusation, "It's okay, I talked to him about it, and my family too. I didn't really know what I wanted to continue studying so this works out." He'd finally finished up his electives, leaving him no wiggle room for classes. His counselor had scheduled a meeting with him and pretty much said that if he didn't have a career path in mind, it was best to just take a break. School was expensive and Mob's grades had never been great. He'd taken a break and in that time Reigen had finished his own degree
Ekubo comes in through the window, "Shigeo, you sure you want to be part of this shady business? Spirits and Such Consultations? Sounds like a con-gig to me."
Reigen claps loudly, "Not conning people! We're really going to help some people out. Mob can exorcise spirits and if there aren't any spirits involved, we just find a solution to what's bothering them. Here are some fliers." He hands a stack to Mob and then looks at Ekubo, "Well, I guess you can't pass these around. That's fine."
Ekubo sighs, "I wouldn't even if I had a body. Shigeo, we're going to get shut down."
"Not all businesses are successful the first time! We just have to be flexible, right Mob?"
Mob nods, and pulls Reigen into a back hug. He's sure everything will work out. Reigen is passionate and hardworking, and Mob is willing to match that dedication with his own love.
There's a knock on the door and they all scramble, even Ekubo.
"Our first customer!" "I can't believe someone actually came in here!" "I'll get some tea started!"
Reigen calls out that the door is unlocked and three kids come inside. They're all wearing the same uniform, a baseball one Reigen notes, and they look so different in personality it's almost jarring, but a customer is a customer. He gestures towards the "sitting area" and as they all settle down, he begins...
"Welcome to Spirits and Such Consultation, what can we do for you guys?"
One of them looks like he's already fallen asleep and the smallest looks over to the brown-haired kid and nudges his leg.
"Well, you see..."

Not What It Looks Like
Not What It Looks Like by Y1ling Patriarch
Shou just wanted to know if Ritsu was ticklish. That's why he's pining him to the ground, with his hands up his shirt, and why Ritsu is screaming at him to get off. Honestly. But it doesn't look that way to Mob,

💋 (Hanako/Kaoru), 🍔 (Manami/Kei), 🎃 (Yuriko/Moe) please ovo
Okie dokie!! Thank you so much for these!! I love all of them already ahhhhhh I’m going to ENJOY this!!
Send 💋 to randomly kiss my muse.
“You’re oddly affectionate today. It’s really nice to see you like this and I’ll appreciate every moment of it.” Kaoru laughed a bit and the female behind him was currently hugging him from behind and leaning on him. It was one of those tired nights after work and Kaoru decided to carry her out of the car since he brought her home after their jobs were finished and she ended up sleeping through the trip.
“It’s not odd. We’re dating.” She mumbles as she snuggles to his back more and he placed his hands on hers before giving it a gentle squeeze. “I just want to say thank you for doing that. I’m repaying you with this.” She felt his fingers rubbing on her hands as if he was giving a quick massage to her.
“Alright, fine. It’s not odd! But this is much more affection than usual.” He laughed before grabbing her two hands and dragging it near his lips to give a single kiss on each of them. “But you don’t need to thank me, it’s something I want to do with pleasure. Lovers are a give and take kind of thing.”
The face of Hanako was burning up after he did the small gesture but her eyes closed once he did. He was always so sweet and kind to her, he was even very understanding at every moment. He even was patient enough to hold it in for her. She didn’t expect that someone would love her this much. “I know that, but I can’t help it.”
Kaoru chuckled before releasing her hands. She stopped embracing him and pulled away. “That’s fair.” He replies but his eyes widened and his face instantly went red. “Oh. Hey. What are you doing.” His face refused to turn but he felt her fingertips on his back, she was currently writing something on it. “I know how this game works, you’ll write something and I have to guess… but I hope you know I suck at these games.”
“I’m not telling you to guess it, now am I?” She continued to slide her finger across his back. His body twitched a bit and she was sort of confused on why he was reacting as such. Was he ticklish? Tickling does work even if you had clothes on so it could be a possibility.
“Yeah but…” The face of the male went even redder the moment he felt a soft kiss on his back, and he actually became quiet. He turned around before he blew some of his bangs away from his face. “Totally uncalled for-” She suddenly planted a small kiss on his lips, and his face… it was probably the darkest shade of red she’s seen on his face.
“You’re out here, making me fluster everyday. But I didn’t know you’d fluster with those things so quickly…”
“… We don’t talk about this.” He quickly replies before he covers his face with his two hands. She kissed him first, and now he wants her to do it again.
Send 🍔 for our muses to have lunch together.
The two middle school students decided to eat lunch together… But honestly, Kei wouldn’t admit it but it was his way of watching Manami’s back. He knew that she was a target of bullying, but as long as she’s seen with him- he felt like no one would even dare to insult her. He watched as the girl unwrapped a cloth and he was shocked with the first thing she said ever since she sat down.
“Kei-chi! I made something for you!” She handed him a bento box with a very bright smile on her face. “I wanted to make you something to show you how thankful I am for being there for me!” He took it but he was still in shock that she made something for him. “I asked Taka and Zuzu some questions, so I didn’t make it too sweet or spicy because I wouldn’t know if you’d like it…”
“You wouldn’t need to worry about that.” He waved his hand off, a slight blush forming on his cheeks because he was embarrassed. “Tch. You didn’t need to do this at all either. ” He didn’t know how to react properly in these situations, but he really wanted to accept the little gift she made for him.
She hummed happily once he accepted the gift and she clasped her hands together. “We have matching bento boxes with the same food! Let’s eat together now!” The two now sat beside each other on the bench with maching bento boxes and food on their laps.
He swore to god if any person came in to spot him, he’s going to place the food down and punch their fucking face if he has to. He wouldn’t want to be spotted or made fun of because of this. Manami did a little kind gesture and it shouldn’t be something to make fun of. “Thank you.” He mutters softly, but he made sure the female could hear it.
“You’re welcome!” She brings out some chopsticks and she handed it to him and she even had her own pair. “But you should take first bite!” Wit those words, he decided to follow what she said. He decided to take the first bite and the moment he did- he was ready to threat her bullies or knock them out with a punch because it tasted wonderful. Why the fuck was she made fun of?
“It’s great.” The moment he swallowed the food, he had to compliment her for that and her face began lighting up, and he swore that that there were tears forming on the corner of her eyes. “Wait-! Fuck-! Don’t cry-!”
“That m-makes me so happy to hear… I tried my best to make something new for you and you actually like it- I-”
Kei felt the corner of his lips move a bit and he may have hesitated at first but he ended up petting her head- even if it was a bit awkward.
Send 🎃 to carve pumpkins with my muse.
It was almost Halloween at that time and Yuriko and Moe decided to try and carve pumpkins together while talking about the possible ship ideas that could happen during the holiday. The two planned some things already for the ship that goes by many names- “ShigeChi”, “Shigenyan and his wife”, “Glasses 2.0″ or simply Shigeo and Chieko.
The other plans that they were deciding were for the OTPs of theirs or the OTPs for the other NGM members. So there would be MichiToshi, SoreNa and KazuRa... There was so much possible ideas to do! Hopefully, one of their ships would have matching costumes so that they can have something photograph and framed.
“That’s a great plan, Yuri-Senpai.” Moe was currently poking the pumpkin with a knife as she was carefully carving the outline that Yoshiki drew on each pumpkin. It wouldn’t be too hard for her, she was a sushi chef so precise cutting would be needed in certain parts of making sushi.
“I know, right? I totally believe that they’re going to end up seeing each other in Halloween and that’d be great, right?” Yuriko laughed as she continued to attempt to carve the pumpkin. She knew how to cut well, she was a chef. But the hard thing was to follow the outline and not mess it up.
The person who drew on the pumpkin for the outline was an excellent artist who also decided to incorporate their ships on it. If they did it perfect, the NGM had a single pumpkin each. Of course, Moe had a ShigeChi pumpkin while Yuriko had a MichiToshi one. “Do you need help, Yuri-senpai?”
The taller girl turned her head to the petite girl before she smiled softly. The tone of her voice was flat, but she could always tell her intentions or the meaning of her words. “Yes, please.” Yuriko hands her the pumpkin and Moe started helping her with the harder parts. “Moe-chan, you really are amazing.”
Moe lifted her head up a bit from the pumpkin she was currently carving and she just gave a quick nod. “Thank you for the compliment.” She may have sounded blunt, but she really did appreciate the comment.

A Little Pick Me Up!
Kanene’s note: FIRST FIC OF THE YEAR!!! LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Hope you didn’t forget about me, since I didn’t post since last year :DDD *ba dum tss*
Yeah yeah I am very funny thank you <3
This story is 100% inspirated on @carrie-tate‘s headcanons that Teru likes to randomly pick up Shigeo and give him raspberries so Shigeo starts training to be able to do the same thing with him sdfghjfghjuk. Absolutely lovely <3
Warnings: Raspberries. This is a tickle fic with Switch!Mob and Switch!Teruki. Around 3.500 words.
[~*~]
That was something hitting his window.
It was too light. Too often. Too loud, swimming around his mindless, peaceful sleep and rudely pulling him bit by bit from it without permission.
Shigeo kept his eyes closed, shuffling even further on his comforter and refusing to acknowledge the sound until it disappeared. Sometimes spirits liked to cause a ruckus at night and that was none of his business. Nor something he particularly cared about, not when his bed never felt any comfier.
There was still an insistent tap-tap-tap on his window.
He opened his eyes and sat on his futon with soundless movements, face carefully kept in a neutral mask while his eyes focused on the glass with a strong intent, showing his unhappiness at having to be up and about at this hour.
An annoyed gruff was already yawning on the back of his throat.
Teruki waved at him from behind the window.
Shigeo turned to his right, looking at the second futon right next to his own, watching with a lost feeling its emptiness and the blankets that were messily thrown around it as if they could explain exactly why his friend was locked outside the room when they wished each other a goodnight a few hours ago, cutting their sleepover short and going to sleep after a whole afternoon hanging out.
He turned back to Teruki.
Blink.
He was still out there and not magically materialized on the spot besides him.
The blond waved before putting his hands around his face and mouthing something.
"Let me in!"
His movements were still sluggish, painted and shaded by a sleepiness that insisted on getting attached to his very bones, but Shigeo got up and walked to the window, opening it.
It was windy outside and cold too, the breeze almost freezing enough to cover the warm feeling on his chest when Teru smiled at him with a hint of mischief on the slight tilt of his lips. His hair would be even messier than the normal by morning.
"Sorry. The wind slammed the window when I stepped out and I got stuck." The glint on his eyes didn't show an ounce of tiredness. Each breath seemed to invigorate him. Somehow he didn't seem very sorry at all. "Come here, I want to show you something!"
"No, thank you, I don't want to." And Shigeo turned away, already heading back to the comfort and warmth of his bed.
He managed to successfully get to the middle of the way before an arm sneaked under his knees, holding them together while the other one rested on his back, tipping the one with black hair sideways and lifting him up as he lost his balance with half protesting grumble, the only reaction he had to suddenly and unexpectedly finding himself being carried bridal style by the other.
He stared at Teru and his playful grin with his usual neutral face, not a tad or two more alarmed than the normal with his current situation. The Body Improvement Club prepared him to being carried and picked up out of the blue.
“What are you doing?”  Teru only adjusted his arms so he could be in a comfortable position. There was something hilarious (or maybe it was just the tiredness) on the way Mob only blinked in his direction and simply nothing more, totally unimpressed and one hundred percent done with everything already as he began walking back to the outside, liking very much the sensation of having him in his arms. “I want to go back to sleep.”
Who would say that the most powerful esper to ever exist would come in a pickable size.
“This will be real quick, don’t worry.” The one with blond hair summoned his telekinesis, testing it for a bit before feeling satisfied with the result and activating it fully and joggling in zigzag in the air until both of them were safely situated on the rooftop of the Kageyama’s house.
He opened his mouth, ready to present his surprise when something pressed on his shoulder. Teru looked down only to see Shigeo grumble a little more and hold tightly his pajama’s shirt, face still locked on the same place, firmly shoved on the space between his shoulder and chest.
For a moment all Teru could do was stare at him with slightly wide eyes, instinctively pulling Shigeo closer.
Then it hit him.
“Telekinesis gives you motion sickness, right? Sorry, I kind of forgot about that.” He winced at his own words. ‘Kind of forgot about that’. God, his charm never seemed to help him when he really needed it to.
“It’s fine.” The voice was muffled because of the fabric, but for what Teru could perceive there wasn’t any signal strong distress on his friend’s tune, only a light discomfort. His face also didn’t look any paler than normal and there wasn’t any drop of sweat on his neck.
The blond felt his posture relax, not ever realizing that he was that tense in the first place.
Well, better focus on the reason he did all that work then, right?
“I woke up because of an explosion nearby.” The night was quiet, so it felt only natural to accompany it with calm whispers. Tonight the wind was cold and insistent, just enough to leave a couple or more of shivers running on his spine and making the leaves shake with a slight hissing sound. It felt like a storm was slowly creeping closer. “It made the power go away and it seems to have affected the whole neighborhood and maybe the next block as well, so it probably won’t take too long before it comes back.”
Shigeo began to slowly detach his face from its hiding spot, the light nausea that hinted to appear already going away and giving space to the curiosity gradually filling his mind with each one of Hanazawa’s words.
He didn’t even realize that the streetlamps weren’t working, but now it was clear that they couldn’t be. He could still see and there was still light surrounding them, but it felt less… sharp and flaring than the normal.
“That is why I woke you up.” A whisper, a murmur. Teruki always felt energetic, shiny and colorful, as if it was only natural for all the attention to be focused on him and his words (even if sometimes he looked at Shigeo as if his attention could be everything he could ever want). It was very different to hear him talking so low and reverently. It was very… nice. Comfortable. Warm. He really liked it. “I didn’t know how long we would have, but… Look.”
So he did. Mob looked up and found Teruki’s eyes before he tipped them upwards, making the shorter one follow his gaze to the sky.
The sky full of stars.
“Ah.”
“Yeah.”
The farthest points in the street were bathed in darkness, as far as his eyes could reach there was only a deep black greeting him back, which only highlighted the illumination coming from the sky. Stars twinkled in and out their shine as heavy dark clouds slowly navigated around them, moving forward with the wind and dipping their surroundings in shows of light and darkness dancing in harmony.
It was infinite, stretching and taking over absolutely everywhere, being present on the light, on the wind, on every ounce of their surroundings, filling him with an unspeakable sensation.
The feeling that something so big and beautiful was so just right there, too far and too close at the very same time. And they had the chance to see it.
Shigeo has no idea of how much time passed with them just… standing there. Enjoying the simple, cozy moment in between the silence and their quiet breaths.
“It’s beautiful.”
“Yes.” Teruki agreed easily, and, as if the words had broken the spell, turned back at him with a slight smirk playing on his lips. “So, wasn’t this worth waking up to? I didn't know you were such a grumpy pants when you’re sleepy.”
“I wasn’t being grumpy.” Replied Shigeo, in a tune that definitely wasn’t a grump one, of course. Just a bit displeased. And rational. Very calm and rational, just exactly as he had been the entire time as he was awake in the middle of the night because he wasn’t a grumpy pants.
Teruki tried to not snicker at the clear hint of a pout in the other’s face, his cheeks beginning to puff out with his pokes of friendly fun. “You were. Just like a disheveled kitten meowing in betrayal because someone took you out of your warm bed.”
A lovely shade of red began to paint Mob’s cheeks, which, as consequence, got even more puffed out in protest, words disappearing from his mind before he could reply such teasing.
“A disheveled kitten?”
“Hmm…” The Hanazawa made a thoughtful face, slightly adjusting Shigeo on his arms as he pulled him closer. “Actually, no, wait. Forget that. If you really were an animal I know exactly which one you would be.”
There was something dangerous with the way the blonde stared at him, a twinkling shine on his eyes, a certain quirk in the corner of his mouth, the way fingers twitched…He was planning something.
A shiver ran across Mob’s spine.
He knew that gaze very well.
“Which… one?”
Teru’s grin only grew, making butterflies shake their wings in excitement on his stomach. His own lips began forming a wobbly smile before he could even think in stopping them.
“A giggle bug.”
Then he took a big, exaggerated breath and Shigeo’s eyes widened, hands coming to his chest in a pacifying motion, caught in between the idea of trying to push the other away and try to defend himself and wrap them around his vulnerable, sensitive, ticklish midsection, but ending up not doing any of the two things.
“Teru!” But the other was still distracted with the way-too-over-the-top and unnecessary deep breath, which was quite good because Mob didn’t even know what he wanted to say or how he could end that phrase. Words never came easily to him and now that his thoughts felt like they were scrambling all around his head, sentences simple were mixing themselves with giggles and the danger signals his nerves were sending non stop, making his entire torso feel like a gigantic tickle spot with plenty of feathers spreading a madly tingling sensations on absolutely everywhere.
He tried to pull his legs upwards and curl in a defensive ball, but the hand carrying him kept them nice and cozy right where they were.
How can Teru still-
With a swift, quick move, Teru finally (finally) lowered his head.
For a second, Shigeo was frozen by the raspberry, brain halting to a stop and the entire time and space freezing in a single blink.
Until it all came crashing down.
There were ticklish shocks running across every single ounce of skin, the vibrations spreading from the single point where the blond’s lips connected to his belly to dance and torment all the nerves nearby, pulling a wheezed snort from his mouth before his silent laughter and hiccups took over, whole body shaking and bouncing with every single one.
As quick as it came, the raspberry was over and Mob could only lay there and let his giggles dance freely on the sudden silence for the few seconds it lasted, using the break to take gulps of oxygen and try to not let the rest of his features disappear under the giant smile stretched across his face.
He opened his eyes. His vision was slightly blurry, but he could perfectly see the joyful, adoring blue eyes watching him in a soft expression. Then the dangerous light was back and a smirk took over  Teru’s mouth before it opened once again and he began taking another deep breath.
Shigeo, now knowing exactly what was about to happen, shoved his face on the other’s shoulder  once more, the tips of his ears getting completely red as his own shoulders bounced non stop with a giddy delight, the butterflies once again flying and panicking on his stomach, titters and quiet squeaks rolling in flocks by his throat.
Another raspberry. Another roll of laughter. And another. And another. And another. And another. And-
Let’s just say that Mob was left in a much better mood when they got inside the house than when he had to go out.
(...)
Mob was staring at him.
It was something he did sometimes. Stopped everything he was doing and just… looked at Teruki. Eyes following him through whatever he was doing, gaze clued on his gestures, all the attention directed at his words as the teen fell in another of his dramatic rambles about a senseless whatever.
Teruki couldn’t really say that he minded when it happened. It was actually very cute. It reminded him of a cat and more than a few times he would turn around to stare at the one with black hair back and slowly blink at him, only to chuckle when Mob replied to him in the same way.
(He never discovered if Mob realized the joke and got in on it to amuse him or if he just was mirroring him because he didn’t want to leave Teru hanging. Or maybe Mob was really just part cat. Either way, it was still very adorable and it made his heart want to melt inside his chest when he thought too much about it.)
So, back to the matter, Shigeo just came back from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and was now looking at him rather intently. Teruki finished sending a few more messages to the class’ group before turning off his phone, an amused air on his expression as he also focused his attention on the other one.
Shigeo lighty tilted his head to the right and left the bowl on the coffee table, giving Teru another searching glance before deciding to fixate his gaze on his own hands. Teru wondered what was going on inside his mind.
Today they were reunited in the Hanazawa’s apartment in celebration of the fact that, after months of training, Mob was able to finish his first entire week of doing his sets of exercises, complete with weight lifting and running through the Body Improvement Club’s usual track.
Without passing out a single time!
Everyone was very proud of the shorter boy.
Shigeo nodded to himself, getting a determined look on his face (with his eyebrows lightly furrowed and the corner of his mouth just slightly tipped upwards) and basically throwing himself on the blonde.
Teru let out a quite embarrassing squawk at this, body throwing itself from its sitting position in face of the eminent attack by reflex, the hands that wobbly wormed their way under his knees and shoulders making him try to squirm out of the hold before realizing that it was just Shigeo trying to carry him.
Wait.
His body was lifted, no longer laying on the couch and being completely supported by the other’s pure physical strength.
Shigeo was carrying him!!
He hastily turned his attention to Mob, who let out a happy soft noise, a few shades of red being painted on his cheeks when Teruki laughed joyfully and locked his arms behind his neck, letting his fingers skitter a bit on the ticklish skin just to see his proud smile expand and the shorter to try to scrunch his neck in a ineffective illusion of a protection.
The arms under him began trembling uncontrollably, the strain starting to get into his muscles as his legs seemed to be transitioning from bones and muscles to the state of unstable wet noodles.
Ops. Bad idea, that was a bad idea. Note for future Teru when they fall ungracefully on the floor: don’t tease Mob when he is holding him.
Before he could possibly summon his powers and prevent them both to have a promptly date with the floor, with a quick and well thought maneuver Mob spun and let himself fall in a sitting position on the couch, small gasps for oxygen and a few droplets of sweat showing on his forehead at the physical exertion.
And yet he kept Teru firmly on a bridal style hold the entire time.
The Hanazawa snorted. Shigeo was an incorrigible softie.
Teru turned to look at the other, a taunting poke of fun already getting ready on the tip of his tongue when Shigeo’s own voice filled the room.
“Do you remember what you did to me when you held me like that?"
Teru froze in the same place. Wide eyes staring at the tiny, but horribly teasy smile on Mob’s face as the words brought memories of laughter, of giggles and, especially, of an attack you couldn’t simply run away.
Shigeo was a monster. Shigeo was a cold, calculist human who unfairly attacked defenseless and awfully ticklish people that have never, never ever done anything wrong in their entire life to deserve such a harsh, merciless and unforgiving treatment.
“Nonono, wait, Mob, wait!” His tune already had a hint of hysteria in it, voice getting increasingly more and more higher and less coherent as the words spilled in waves from his lips, even if Shigeo didn’t move a single finger in his direction. “We can come to an agreement, Shig, you really don’t need to- NO!”
A single blink and in less than a second Mob’s head was being shoved on his belly, sealing Teruki’s defeat with a series of raspberries that somehow were laid exactly on his most ticklish spots, vibrating and vibrating and vibrating and tickling all over his sides, ribs, hips and even the patch of skin right above his bellybutton that never failed to summon a crackling squeal from him.
The maddening sensation completely took over all his senses and mind, erasing any and every kind of thought that wasn’t just incoherent babbling and uncontrollable laughter twirling in the air in harmony.
It felt like forever - but probably didn’t last more than a couple of minutes -, the ghost sensation of buzzing and tiny tickly shocks swimming across every nerve, giving each one some attention before immediately going to torment another, when Mob relented his attack.
His teasy grin seemed even more teasy and happy than normal, the light in his eye burning bright and soft at the image of Teru giggling and blushing in his embrace, tears on the corner of his eyes and an enormous smile going from one ear to another, one of two snorts tumbling clumsily in between the remanent laughter and titters.
Shigeo felt like he could spend the entire day looking at him.
Their eyes locked. Teru wiped the few tears that ran across his cheeks, the smile on his face slowly transforming into something a tad more cheeky and much more like the smirk he always had before saying something that would never fail to pull a more playful side of the other.
“That is what you call a revenge? I barely even felt anything.”
Ah, there it was.
Shigeo took a deep breath, fingers twitching in preparation.
Teruki Hanazawa realized that maybe that wasn't the smartest choice of words on his part. His eyes, once again, became wide and more desperate, excited giggles began falling from his lips.
“Wait, wait, wait! I take it back. I swear that I- AH!”

Laughter, Learning and Motives to Keep Going
Alternative Title: What it means to be in a club (maybe the true improvement are the friends we make along the way)
Kanene’s notes: I am once again thinking about the tickle potential of the Body Improvement Club in Mob Pyscho 100 and my ideas aren’t very organized but picture with me:
(These mini fics contains Lee!Mob and Ler!Body Improvement Club. Around 2.500 words)
[~*~]
* Pokes and prods while Mob is stretching to correct his posture or attract his attention in case he forgets a step or exercise.
[...]
Shigeo pulled his arms upwards, ignoring the light tremble of his limbs at the strange, extra strain he was putting them under. He wasn’t used to the series of stretches they were supposed to do before and after every exercise routine. It felt weird, if Shigeo was being honest, muscles that he even didn’t know that existed sent sparks of a beginning of a pain and he kept staring fixedly at the leader at every couple of seconds to be sure he was doing it right, the anxiety nagging the back of his brain being subdued by the warmth that blossomed on his chest at the realization that everyone from the group kept doing the same step longer than necessary so Shigeo could follow them properly.
Such kindness...
Musashi Goda, Hideki Yamamura, Hiroshi Kumagawa, Ryorei Shimura, Jun Sagawa...
Shigeo took a deep breath, a strong determination shining clearly on his eyes. He won’t disappoint them! Nor let all their efforts be in vain! He would do his best here to become stronger every day!
“Kageyama,” Lost in his own thoughts, the dark haired student didn’t realize the leader walking in his direction, the rest of the group having already moved on to the next step while Shigeo froze on the first one.
“Kageyama!” His tune naturally became more energetic, although not carrying the slightest heat on it, but being perfect to break Shigeo from his trance, body barely jumping on the same place before his attention focused on Goda.
“Y-ye-” His attention, however, didn’t come quick enough to prevent the twin pokes that attacked his underarms, a quiet, high pitched squeak leaving his lips at it while his arms fastly shot down to protect the ticklish area, wide but not alarmed eyes watching the leader attentively.
In response, he received the same enthusiastic smile and energetic shout that accompanied the whole club like a treadmark. “Don’t forget to also stretch your arms downwards, Kageyama! It will be important for your wrists and biceps!”
Now Shingeo’s eyes shone with curiosity and understanding, the student quickly followed to do what was said. “Right!”
Goda nodded, his smile tingled with something a tad playful and a tad a expression Mob couldn’t quite place still on his face, before turning back to the rest of the group. “BODY IMPROVEMENT CLUB!”
Excited shouts followed his and Mob felt a content (with drops of tickly) feeling quirk his lips upwards.
...
Such occurrence, however, wasn’t restricted to his first day. Actually, as weeks and weeks went by, Shigeo lost the count of all times that similar attacks followed him, especially during stretching time, when his mind seemed to wander most and there was too much steps, moves and body parts to be aware at once.
A quick squeeze on his stomach to remind him to pull his leg the closer he could to his chest when preparing to run with them across the city.
(”Don’t worry. You’ll know how to do those even while sleeping soon.”
“Thank you.”
Yamamura didn’t add anything to his previous observation, giving Shigeo one more glance before relaxing and nodding, going back to the comfortable silence that followed them as they continued the exercises.)
A sneaky scribble delivered by Shimura on his unprotected neck on a particular day when his muscles were too stiff and his frown too strong.
(”Don’t pull your head towards your shoulder so forcefully! Your hand should only rest on the side of your head while weighting it slightly downwards. If it hurts, it means you’re doing it wrong!”
“Really?! I understand now, thank you.”
“Don’t try to bow while doing it either!”)
Some friendly prodding in between his shoulder blades while rotating his wrists from left to right when he was too much concentrated on counting the moves to realize the tiredness was weighing his shoulders down.
(”Try to not let your posture slouch, ok? That can prevent some back pain further in the way.” Kumugawa smiled and did a thumbs up when Shigeo corrected his stance, looking at him with a wobbly grin that too fastly went back to his natural neutral face. That boy was fun.
“Alright!”)
And, as warmth, playfulness and a kind type of care followed each poke and each word in his direction, Mob couldn’t really bring himself to mind the plentiful squeaks, titters and snorts that such a friendly (and strangely effective) way to call his attention would bring.
[...]
* Quick scribbles and light squeezes when Mob is looking as if he needs some encouragement to keep going
Breath in. Breath out.
The sun was bright and hot and every patch of his skin seemed to be completely overcome by a sudden wave of fever. His legs were starting to hurt. Tiredness was beginning to bite at his ankles, the concrete under his sneakers feeling harder than ever and still his steps began to grow more and more inconsistent.
Breath. Breath in and out.
He was getting slower. Again. The sun was so bright. The rest of the club were now getting way too far. Slow. He was simply too slow.
They didn’t even get to the middle of their track.
Too slow. Too bright. Too exhausted.
Why all he was was being so w-
A couple of fingers tased his sides, not ceasing their attack even when the surprise tickling made his step falter and a mix of hiccups and giggles to flow from his lips. Little ticklish shocks spread all across his torso, bringing more and more tired titters to bounce in a giddy energy on his chest, the sensation was funny, silly and quite maddening, making the smile on his face only grow bigger.
His body tried to squirm from one side to another in an attempt of dislodging the offending, wiggling fingers, but they kept their attack, only changing to a series of pokes and a couple more of squeezes as he turned around to see who was responsible for that.
“Do not focus just on your pain, Kageyama.” Onigawara also looked tired, his breath coming as short pants and his usual half serious and half scolding (no, he wasn’t soft because the little guy here trying his best, he was not. Shut it) losing its usual sharpness at the adorable scene of the shorter one smiling and trying to duck his face to hide it on his shoulders while still keeping his running pace. “Or you won’t be able to see your goal getting close at every moment!”
A muffled snort flew from his lips, more hiccuped giggles quickly following it. It was hard to concentrate on Onigawara’s words, Shigeo came to realize, especially when the other found a rather sensitive spot way too close to his belly and not far enough from his sides and that made him sprint forward in a sudden bout of energy. A smirk took over Onigawara’s face as he too sped up to accompany his new rhythm, more pokes and prods urging the shorter to not give up.
“See? We just need to keep going on. What’s up with that frown from before, huh? We still need to catch up with them!”
And Shigeo nodded, that bright shine on his eyes again, the remaining adrenaline and phantom feeling of fingers dancing on his sides still making a silly, tiny smile paint his face.
Onigawara nodded back, ceasing his attack. “Good.”
He quickened his pace, gaze still locked with Shigeo as he went. “Do not stay behind, Kageyama.”
For a good measure, he wiggled his fingers, watching with amusement when the act made the other let out a small squeak, before also trying to run faster.
“BODY IMPROVEMENT CLUB!”
With the shout breaking his concentration, Onigawara saluted the smaller, turning back to the group and trying to catch up with them.
Time to overcome his own challenges as well.
[...]
* Group tickles when he reaches a goal or overcomes a challenge!! :D
He did it.
He did it.
His face was relaxed, his shoulders seemed free of any weight to pull them down and a tiny smile was plastered on his face, clear to anyone who wanted to see, his chest going up and down with each erratic breath that steadily came back to a much slow rhythm.
Kumugawa’s face appeared on his vision field. “Are you ok there, Kageyama?”
With all the strength he could muster, Shigeo lifted a thumbs up, not taking too long before his arm fell back to accompany the rest of his body on the grass, but he could care less about how much dirt was getting on his clothes.
He did it.
It was already evening, now. The sun setting bringing a nice breeze to play around the space, making relief to flood across his entire body. The blond snickered, replying him with his own thumbs up before going back to the rest of the club, who was enjoying their contentment for finishing a good and challenging day of exercise. Water was being distributed and chatters were filling the entire scenario with the typical exhausted excitement that always fell like a blanket on them after their routine.
Shigeo closed his eyes and breathed in, letting the conversation and peace dancing freely in the air surround him in a rare moment of calmness. A moment when power, spirits, fears, love and insecurities didn’t matter. A moment when his mind was finally quiet. A moment when the only important thing in the world was the knowledge that he did it.
He finally finished the track. Without passing out even once.
He did it.
He was really glad.
The Kageyama had no idea of how much time he spent like this, but when he opened his eyes it was to find a cold water bottle a few inches from his face and a hand on his shoulder pulling him to a sitting position. With a satisfied hum and a hoarse “Thank you” he realized that his body’s ache had subdued a lot in the meantime.
“Come on, Kageyama!” The hand patted his shoulder with an enthusiasm and force that made him bend slightly to the left. Shigeo looked at the leader with a question in his gaze. “Just the final stretching and then we can get our things!”
“Ok.” He agreed, already pulling himself to stand and following them through the steps that, indeed, were becoming easier and easier to remember with each day.
At the end, Sagawa was the one who broke the silence.
“Today was the first day you stuck with us until the end without passing out, right?” His usual neutral face checked the shorter, as if being sure he wasn’t about to fall and prove him wrong at any moment.
“It was.” Shigeo looked at his own hand, as if he could visualize just with that how much different, stronger he got since the beginning of his training. “I also kept you in my sight all the time.” A shy proudness tip toed in his words.
“Congrats.” Sagawa completed and Yamamura nodded in agreement. The training was working out.
“YES! This is a very important moment! We should CELEBRATE!!” Goda flexed, more energy sparking from him at the prospect of seeing someone conquer their challenges. Enthusiastic screams of affirmation were fast to follow his words, Kumagawa and Shimura punching the air while Onigawara lifted his water bottle with a ‘yeah’.
Blink. And suddenly everyone was much closer. Blink. Shigeo was being lifted and thrown in the air multiple times, their congratulations shouts being mingled by the momentarily sensation of him floating on the air before falling onto their hands only to be thrown again.
It reminded him of the times he and Ritsu were kids taking turns to be thrown and catched by their dad, senseless laughter flooding the space.
Shigeo relaxed. It was fun.
And then it didn’t take long before he was jolted back to stand on his feets, legs wobbling for a second, but firmly locking himself in place when a wave of reassuring and excited pats washed over him, on his shoulders, on his back, even his head wasn’t forgotten, his hair probably sticking at every possible direction from how much it was ruffled.
He had seen this before, when Onigawara managed to accompany them for a whole day or Goda created and succeeded at his own new intense exercise routine.
He had seen it all before, even partaking at the (ritual? Party? Celebration?) with his own shy and careful pats once or twice.
That is why he knew exactly what would happen when the first scribble hit his neck.
He didn’t try to hold or stop the hands that began attacking him, only hugging his own sides and ducking his head downwards as his cheeks puffed out in a poor attempt of containing his laughter.
It wasn’t very effective, though, not when there were fingers worming their way under his arms so they could scratch freely across his ribs, drumming on the horribly ticklish space right in between them that made a series of muffled yelps to escape from his mouth.
Or when someone - probably Onigawara, his mind unhelpfully supplied - found, again, that spot that connected his sides and stomach, carefully and attentively pinching every single inch of it over and over again until stray titters were floating in the space.
Or when a curious poke to his belly finally broke his barrier and brought all the kind of snorts, squeaks and unashamed laughter that made his face hot all over again, redness running from his cheeks to the tip of his ears as he curled even more on himself, shoulders shaking and beaming at the tickly shocks running across his spine, filling his nerves and making him feel like electricity followed every touch, leaving trails of tingling behind.
All of this, of course, only seemed to encourage his peers, more squeezes and scribbles being delivered on his sides, ribs, belly and even his ears (which fished a high pitched wheeze from him and some amused snickers and happy chatter from the group), however as fast the attack started, it ended, the last pokes and remanent giggles dancing together and keeping the content, relaxed  smile on his face.
With his eyes still shining with mirth (and a few non-shed tears) he stared at the group, almost ducking his head again at the pride and happiness that was greatly and unashamedly reflected right back at him.
He did it.
Shigeo really did it.
They were really glad.

Alternative Title: Little Brothers.
Kanene’s notes: So, in the brazilian dub Ritsu was always calling Shigeo “his lil bro” (probably because he is taller than him sdfghjkjhg) and I kept this nickname on this fanfic because it’s honestly the most adorable thing so just a heads up in the case that is not something that happen in others dubs or on the original. Hope it’s not very confusing!
Warnings: There are rasbperries here and nursery rhymes, but besides that, nothing! Lots of brotherly fluff and angst full of hurt/comfort with Switch!Shigeo and Switch!Ritsu. Around 5.000 words.
[~*~]
(Please consider reading my notes before the fanfic pls ^.^)
Ritsu is his little brother and Shigeo loves him.
Sometimes, everything is simple like that.
He doesn’t think life has ever been different. It’s like waking up to the sunrise every single day. You simply know that the next time you open your eyes, the sun will be there to greet you at the first signals of consciousness.
But he wouldn’t say Ritsu is like the Sun. Actually, he is much more like the Moon. A constant calming presence. Strong. Important. Always there when you need it. He is intelligent and funny and so, so amazing. And popular too, which is only natural. Of course everyone would love him. His little brother is incredible.
Shigeo couldn’t be prouder of him.
This is also a constant in his life when it comes to his brother. Love and pride.
(And fear and jealousy. But they were working on it).
Both feelings have always mingled together, accompanying their hurried steps as they grew up on those hot afternoons spent climbing tall trees and pointing at the caterpillars and bugs they found in their way.
They also followed the brothers as Ritsu went to the hospital to take his vaccines even though he was deadly afraid of needles and shaking the whole ride to the place, tightly holding Mob’s hands as the older one teared up and sniffled in empathy at his sibling’s struggles.
And on the moments they fought and Shigeo would freeze, stop and lock up because he was so afraid of losing control and then Ritsu would appear hours later with two cups of warm tea for them to sip quietly, sitting together with arms pressing on each other as the silence said words they couldn’t ever express.
Also on the way the older one would always keep money in his bag for the days when they stumbled on each other on their way to home so they could make a small detour to the ice cream store and have something nice after a busy day.
Or with how Ritsu would untwist his spoons when Mob lost control, and Shigeo would still remember his bro’s favorite shows as a kid and Ritsu would frown at him when he talked about Reigen but not say anything because he may not trust the guy, but the trusted Shigeo’s choices.
And. And. And.
That is why it was so easy to not be hurt when Ritsu got his powers and he found him in that alley. Because Ritsu was amazing. He was his little brother and Shigeo knew that feelings are a complex, difficult thing to control and when we can’t control them everything becomes terrifying (because you’re hurt) and scaring and pushing people away seems like the only good way to protect yourself. But it was fine. It was fine because Shigeo understood (he had someone who helped him to understand) and now that he understands he could help his brother. He would be there for him. Because he loved him and Ritsu also loved him and nothing in the world could ever change that.
That is why he sometimes laid awake, frozen in his bed in the middle of the night, frightening memories and horrible nightmares of those six hellish months mixing together in an undistinguished way, plaguing his mind and leaving him out of breath, as if there were rocks laying on his chest and a hand squeezing his throat, making his tongue feel like concrete in his dry mouth.
Sometimes he really despises the way that illusion changed him.
It was on one of those nights that Mob decided he couldn’t bear to stay alone in his room any longer.
Walking to the bathroom to wash his face only woke him more, however at least it also decreased the feeling that cotton was filling his brain and made his thoughts stop dragging themselves in the darkest spaces of his mind.
He stopped in front of Ritsus’ door, knocking on it very lightly, anxiety buzzing in his chest non stop. He didn’t care if it seemed childish. His fingers began to pull and fiddle with his pajamas’ shirt. It was nothing, really. Nothing really important. He just... He just... He really needed to look at Ritsu’s eyes right now and see more than indifference or disgust.
Ritsu opened his door. His eyelids were dropping. He was clearly tired, yet very alert even if all his movements were still sluggish from sleep.
And still...
“Lil bro,“ his voice was calm. Patient. Warm. Of course it was. It was Ritsu. What was Mob thinking? He would never... He wouldn’t...
“Something happened?”
Mob shook his head.
Quiet washed over them. Ritsu watched his brother for something and Shigeo kept staring at him because that shine in his eyes showed that he was worried. He was worried but also he wouldn’t pry and the oldest couldn’t put in words how much that alone made him relax.
(Worry was very different from indifference. Or hate. You didn’t worry about someone you didn’t care about. Shigeo held to this thought as if it was the only thing keeping him standing.)
Before he could say anything (his tongue was still so heavy) Ritsu held his hand and pulled him to the kitchen. Shigeo’s hand was sweaty. That couldn’t be comfortable.
He didn’t pull away.
(Ritsu cared.)
“Do you want some tea?”
It was more of a courtesy question than anything, really, since the taller one was already getting the teapot. Still, Shigeo said a tiny sound in agreement and moved to grab their cups either way. He had to let go of his brother's hands for this but it was fine. Because from time to time Ritsu would bump their shoulders together (I am here) or Shigeo would poke his arm to show the night outside their window (I care) and Ritsu would choose one of their favorite blands (I care) and the smell would be all over the kitchen so Mob had to open the window in the most careful and quiet way ever to not wake up their parents and then, since the window was open and they were already there, both would take their time to take a deep breath and stare at the night sky.
(I care. I care. I am here. I love you. I love you. I love you.)
They spent a handful of pieces of time like this before going back to Ritsu’s room, sitting on his futon and watching senseless videos on his phone.
Almost instantly Shigeo felt a head lay on his shoulder and he didn’t need to turn around to know his younger brother would be struggling to keep his eyes open. Therefore he calmly took the phone from his hands and adjusted himself carefully to not disturb the other.
Suddenly, he was nine years old all over again, putting a blanket over him and Ritsu while watching more videos in the middle of the night in secret until his sibling began taking more and more deep, paused breaths, indicating that he had fell asleep and now Mob could move him to lay on his futon without waking him up.
But he wasn’t eight years old anymore and didn’t realize that the nightmares and tea and the warmth and the comfort of having his family so close would make him fall on the hands of the dreamland easier, much before he could even properly adjust the blanket on themselves.
Did he remember to close the window?
(...)
When Shigeo woke up, he was laying on a futon that wasn’t his in his old room. The memories of the last night came back as he moved to sit, rubbing his eyes and yawning and. ah. He forgot to wash their cups last night.
Breakfast was fine, with mom talking and dad laughing and hot, enjoyable food between all of them.
He walked back to his room after he was finished (thankfully it wasn’t a school day) and left his door open due the another set of footsteps following him. It was a sunny day. Dimple must be at Reigen’s if he stayed out until now. Or maybe visiting Teru. It was fine. Today was going to be an okay day.
He turned around when the door closed, still a bit slow with the sleepiness that refused to leave his bones. His gaze found Ritsu’s, he didn’t look as worried as yesterday. That is good.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
He almost said ‘no’, the word already on the tip of his tongue. However... he didn’t want Ritsu to feel like he was pushing him away. He wanted to set a good example.
Besides, it all didn’t seem so horrible now that it was day and he wasn’t alone and they had tea and a good, warm breakfast. It felt less unspeakable
“...I had a nightmare.” His brother kept an open face, calm and understanding. “I don’t remember it well. But you helped.” He hugged him, hoping it would say more than just the few words he had. “Thank you.”
“I’m always here for you, lil bro.” Ritsu hugged him back.
They stayed a bit like this.
Ritsu huffed a laugh.
“Huh?”
“Do you remember the thing to cheer us up that dad always did when we were little and ran at him after a bad day?”
Ah. Shigeo did.
“And that you also began to do when I would show up in your room after a nightmare?”
Shigeo experimentally wiggled on the embrace, not being surprised when Ritsu’s arms kept him locked on the hug. Hands began spidering their way on his ribs and suddenly Mob was more than aware that his position wasn’t the best for protection and that he fell in a trap.
And yet, his arms - trembling and shaking with the effort to not shoot downwards and trap the offending hands and wiggling fingers in their attack - were determinately kept firm, still hugging Ritsu close.
This was a family tradition, afterall.
“Do you remember that silly song that dad would always sing when he tickled us?” Of course Shigeo did, afterall, he was the one who first took upon himself to learn and keep that tradition going during his own cheering-up tickle attacks against Ritsu. The same song that pried, amidst his giggly and squeaking protests about ‘how much he despised it’, the biggest and brightest smiles from his younger sibling. “I can’t recall it that well, but you will help me to sing it, right, lil bro?”
Before a single word could come out of his lips, Ritsu focused his tickly attention on his lowest rib, pinching and drumming on a spot right in the middle of it that never failed to fish a loud squeal and scramble his thoughts all over around the place because it tickled, it really tickled so, so much, the sensation spreading all across his torso and making him want to curl in a ball and smile and laugh and laugh and-
Giggles were dancing freely on the air and Mob was nodding his head non stop even before he noticed what he was doing.
“Thank you so much, lil bro!” Any naivety of those words would be lost at the scene of the gigantic, teasy (and yet a tad soft, because that shy, smiley expression on his lil bro's face was so much better than the haunted, exhausted eyes he saw yesterday) smirk on Ritsu’s features. He couldn’t help prodding the spot on both the right and left ribs at the same time only to see Shigeo try to wiggle from one side to another and stop because that made him jump into another tickly finger and then half second later wiggle again because it tickled.
After a few seconds of tormenting he stopped, though, giving his brother a breather, warmth spreading on his chest as he watched Mob use the break to shove his face on his shoulder, little bounces of his own shoulders being the only hint of the quiet titters and yelps that still spilled from his mouth. Ritsu gave his head a couple of fond pats with an amused snort.
He wasn’t finished, however.
“How does the song start, again? It’s been a while since I heard it…”
A huffed chuckle and a hesitant, mumbled sentence was what answered him, and because Ritsu was a little shit, he scribbled the vulnerable, incredibly ticklish neck that Mob’s hiding left unprotected.
“Sorry,” the playfulness in his voice showed that he was pretty much not sorry at all and would definitely do it again if Shigeo didn’t try to talk louder “can you say that again? I couldn’t hear you.”
Giggling giggling giggling.
“...R-round ahahand r-snrk” Shigeo shoved his face even more on his shoulder as Ritsu quickly changed his attack back to his ribs, being mindful to give every single inch of ticklish rib a few scratches and a good prodding before jumping to another. “round thehehe gar-r-rden gohohoes the teddy be-eek!”
Ritsu gave the weak spot on the back of his middle rib a last tickle before having mercy at his older sibling and continuing the song. And, well, if he even mimicked the goofy voice his father always did when he sang it… no one but his brother needed to know.
“One step.”
He pretended to “walk” in the direction of the unprotected armpits. Mob’s titters became more squeaky, already tipping on a full laughter.
“Two steps.”
He paused for a grand effect, mentally counting to three before unmercifully wiggling and digging his fingers on the target, keeping up his attack even when the older one jolted in the air, an unexpected bark of loud laughter breaking the previous silence and making Shigeo throw his head backwards, arms shooting down a second too late, only trapping the offending, playful tickly digits in their attack as his laughter turned into an unstable mix of squeaks and hiccups.
“And tickle under there.~”
“R-ritsu!”
The called one just snickered, paying the half heartedly protest no mind, especially since no more words or moves accompanied it. Knowing his brother he would endure a whole hour of goofy nursery rhymes and silly tickles if that meant keeping up the playful moment.
Huff.
Such a softie.
Before his laughter would become more hiccups than anything Ritsu decided to experiment and see if he still knew how to get a few snorts and airy giggles with the next rhyme.
He positioned both of his index fingers on Shigeo's cheeks.
"Now, how does the second part goes again…?" He pretended to think while swirling his digits on the spot, receiving plenty of puffed snorts as the bright eyes of his brother stared at him, his grin growing bigger at every small skittering. "Round and round…?" He looked at Shigeo expectantly.
"Thehehe hayssstack."
"Right." Then, his voice was back to the singing, goofy tune again, he almost decided to change his attack to tease the shortest's ears but Mob seemed to be having fun. "Round and round the haystack, went the little mouse."
"One step."
Once again he pretended to "walk", now directing the scribbling to the so ticklish neck.
"Two steps."
Shigeo's shoulders began to shake uncontrollably.
"And right up in the air."
He feigned going for his chin before changing to squeeze his sides on the last second, fishing a loud high pitched squeal, the belly laughter filling the entire room for a full second before falling to a silent laughter and the usual hiccups. Shigeo's torso weakly wiggled from left to right before he failed limply on Ritsu's arms, still giggling like crazy.
"W-wahahait!"
"Huh? Oh, shoot. That doesn't rhyme, must be something else then. Let me just try again." He stopped, leading his hands to spider over the other's stomach. "One step. Two steps. Into his little house."
And, as Mob was about to hold his wrists, the tickling came to a stop. And they stayed there, Shigeo giggling out the rest of the giddy feeling buzzing on his nerves and Ritsu chuckling and giving his back a couple of fond pats.
It took some minutes before Shigeo's voice filled the air again.
“I had forgotten about this tradition.” Mob said, honesty and warmth painting every word. “Thank you for reminding me, Ritsu.”
Ritsu smiled. His older sibling was really a big ol softie with a giant melting heart. "I'm always here for you, lil bro."
(...)
After a few weeks, such moment had been almost forgotten, being, instead, kept in a high shelf in Ritus’s mind after his brother’s nightmares became more sparse and their bimester's finals came to pull and throw them in a frenetic pace of clubs, studies and way too much schoolwork for just 24 hours per day.
In fact, that memory only resurfaced after his tests were over, right during that stressing period right after you finished every major thing you had to do, when your body was exhausted from weeks of study and work but you mind was still too full of everything (every exercise every test every record every observation every question and answers and notes and classes and-) to be able to let go of the adrenaline that kept him going and actually relax.
The taller didn’t even realize that Shigeo was in his room until a light touch on his arm broke him from the staring competition he was having with his textbook, wondering if it was worth it to study a subject or two just to make the anxiety gnawing the corner of his mind more bearable.
"Ritsu?"
"Hm?" He blinked, recovering fast from the unexpected touch. "Do you need something, lil bro?"
(Help with your studies? Help with understanding a confusing equation? A quick run down on the subject of last week? Help with cleaning? With your powers? With work?)
(Was he even worth something if he didn't hel-)
"No. Thank you." The attentive and calm eyes of the older one ere enough to make him let go of the book and stay on the here and now. Ritsu attempted to look patient and open, trying to not show his confusion and internal struggling to the other. He needed to get a hold of himself before he did something stupid again.
"Are you alright, Ritsu?"
The taller one stopped. Blinked one, two, three times before a smile opened in his face.
(It didn't reach his eyes.)
"Of course, lil bro. Why wouldn't I be?" He turned around to put his book in his bag again. Maybe he should start preparing his things for tomorrow.
"Because your tests were only over today and you've been through a stressful week of studies right after working hard during the school's festival, which usually overload the students council with more obligations than the normal amount."
Ah. That is right. The school festival. Has it been that long already? After a time everything starts mixing up in the same mess. His hands kept organizing his bag even if his breath hitched for a moment too long. Wednesday was when he had math in the first and second period, didn't he? He should probably check his exercise to see if his answers were correct.
Another light, careful touch on his shoulder made him stop.
"Ritsu, you are always here for me when I need it." Shigeo's tune was calm and light-hearted like it always had been. Like he always had been. Like helping Ritsu was not a chore only natural. "So if you need or want" his gaze became firm then, more determined "I am here for you too. You can trust me."
One blink.
Two blinks.
Ritsu opened his mouth to say something but no words came out.
Oh.
Oh.
Okay.
That was right.
He could trust him, couldn’t he? Shigeo already proved that before, when they…
His lil bro always tried so hard for him. Ritsu could… He could try a bit more for him, as well.
"I am stressed." The words were low, stumbling out of his lips before he could stop them. Like ripping off a bandaid. "And there isn’t a reason for it anymore. I should try to… relax a bit."
Shigeo nodded and Ritsu scratched the back of his neck in a sudden bout of shyness as the other’s eyes scanned him, understanding.
Shigeo nodded once again.
"OK. That should be a good moment to tell you that I have a message for you, then."
"Really?" A message? That is… not what Ritsu was expecting. But his lil bro was good at breaking and going over expectations. He wondered if it was from someone at the school. "What is it?"
Mob looked at the window behind him, pointing at something. Voice as neutral as ever.
“Oh. What’s that?”
“Huh?” Ritsu turned around, scanning the scenery in search for something strange. It was only when he heard a small sound behind him that his eyes widened and he realized that he fell for the oldest trick in the book.
Arms came and hugged him from behind.
Flashes of memories filled his mind in less than one second. Laughter, wide smiles, giggles, wiggling fingers, surprise attacks.
“No!”
He would forever deny the way his voice was wobbly, embarrassing high pitched giggles already bubbling on his throat just at knowledge of what would happen, the buzzing feeling of anticipation making him want to kick and squirm around like crazy.
“It’s our cheering up tradition.”
Hands began giving the stomach they were resting on a few experimental pokes, each one of them leaving him wiggling from one side to another like a quite energetic worm. Ritsu could perfectly visualize his brother’s face even without looking at him: the way his eyebrows would be frowned in a concentrated way, curious eyes jumping from the teasing pokes to his reactions in search of what would bring out the brightest smiles or the most wheeziy snicker, just like a musician tuning his instruments.
“It’s not!”
“It’s a family thing.”
“It is really nOT!” In the last part, Ritsu’s voice was taken over by an unintelligible ‘eee’ sound as Mob gave the horribly, unfairly, awfully ticklish spot right under his bellybuton a scratch, legs almost giving out in the need to move and kick and stay and laugh and laugh and laugh.
“I-I’m… n-nohot- snrk. Come on!” He and Shigeo’s hands were caught in a game of cat and mouse for a bit when Ritsu wasn’t able to even start a sentence without having his words captured by pieces of barked laughter and badly muffled chuckles since his brother refused to leave that damn spot alone and it tickled so much. It tickled so, so bad. Shigeo’s ones escaping from his grip (not that it was that strong in the first place) with the skill of someone who tickled him since they were tiny humans and wasn’t about to stop now. The playful wrestling though gave him a breather and a chance to wheeze out his sentence. “I’m not seven anymore, lil bro.”
“Physical activities are a good way to destress and relax.” Mob’s tune was pensative, a light hint of a considerating humming in his voice as Ritsu finally succeeded in getting a hold of his hands, not letting them go even with the light tugs that this resulted. And, well, if a gigantic smile was plastered on his face and a couple of giggles escaped from his lips because of the playful moment, that is nobody’s business.
Besides, it was hard to not let a victorious (and strangely nostalgic. Had this ever happened before?) feeling wash over him as his older brother gave up from trying to free his hands.
Well, that wasn’t so bad.
Ritsu ignored the little sad weight on his chest that wished that it didn’t end so soon. Maybe… Maybe he could turn around and get a bit of a payba-
A big raspberry hit his shoulder blades, right in the middle space that connected both of them, a weak spot that even he had forgotten about. But as it seems, not Shigeo. Or his own body.
The sound that came out from his mouth was more of a screeching than actual laughter. Loud, fast - and not even remotely close from the huffed, quiet reactions from his older brother, - and uncontrollable giggling stumbled right out of his mouth when the maddening and tickly buzzing that made his nerves tingle didn’t go away, the tickling following him no matter how much he squirmed and wiggled around in his attempts to escape it, his hands letting go of Shigeo’s wrists to trash and shake around, totally unable to stop the older as he decided to throw quicker and smaller raspberries around both shoulder blades, fishing plenty of crackling squeals when they slipped and “accidentally” hit the back of his ribs and neck.
They were a shared tickle spot and one of the favorites for Shigeo to tickle, warmth filling his chest at the knowledge that he could make Ritsu happy and smiley with just a few playful tickles.
His hands were now free, though, so he could go back to his original plan.
Shigeo undid the hug, watching with an amused quirk of lips as his sibling clumsy tumbled out of it, frenetic, airy titters still floating in the room as if the tickling had never came to a stop. He waited for Ritsu to turn in his direction, bright, shiny eyes finding his before he slowly - so teasing slowly - lifted his hands, fingers mimicking claws as they clawed the air.
He used to do that all the time as a kid, Ritsu even called it-
“No!” Wide eyes and even a wider smile. Ritsu watched as the older approached with a giddy alarm, adrenaline running on his veins and muscles tensing in preparation to scramble away. He couldn’t believe Shigeo was doing that, it was so childish. “Do. not. No. Not The Claw!”
Mob didn’t stop his approaching steps, only clawing the air fast and faster as he got closer and closer and closer. “Shigeo!!”
“Tickle tickle tickle…”
Just three taunting words and then Ritsu was running away, laughter falling his lips when he managed to dodge from Shigeo and jump over his forgotten bag on the floor, shivers and the ghost feeling of poking fingers on his torso following him at every step, especially when he glanced behind with the corner of his eyes only to see the other one chasing right after him.
Oh, that is right. He is on the Body Improvement Club, shit, shit, shit-
This was so silly. This was so childish. So stupid and it didn’t make any sense and it was so so fun.
That was the moment he tripped on his futon.
(For some reason, he also was always very bad at running away from the tickles as a kid. Looks like he didn’t outgrow that feature.)
Ritsu didn’t even process the string of protesting nonsense falling freely from his lips as he turned around, a mix of protesting ‘nonono’a and promising ‘don’t you dare!’s as Shigeo sat close to him. Still, his lil bro’s voice, calm and with drops of something a tad playful seemed to echo in the entire room.
“Got you.”
His clawing hands lunged to his belly. Ritsu screeched.
Only for his hands to stop a few inches from the skin, the tip of the finger barely grazing the spot before pulling away.
Ritsu began wheezing, hotness running from his neck to his face, feeling like a little kid facing the tickle monster that was his older brother all over again. He couldn’t believe Shigeo was doing that. He was so- This was so (silly, awful, amazing, soft, playful, amusing, silly, silly, silly) unfair.
A yelp was pried from his mouth when Shigeo again pretended to lounge on his sides. A loud squeal when the clawing hands threatened his ribs. A half snort, half chortle when they gave his hips an experimental squeeze before also moving away.
He was already a mess of squirms and uncontrollable giggles (one of his hands running to try to cover his mouth) when Shigeo decided to take mercy on him and slowly descended his hands to his knees, attacking it with plenty of squeezes and spidering so he wouldn’t get used to the feeling.
The tickling spreading tickly shocks across his entire legs and happily followed him, no matter how much he trashed or kicked around. Loud, bright peals of laughter and squeaky snorts dancing in the air in harmony, no anxious thoughts or stressed feelings filling his mind besides the only one sentence that repeated non stop on his brain and left a happy, comforting feeling on his chest.
‘It tickles. It tickles. It tickles.’
When tears began to run across his cheeks Shigeo decided to stop, carefully rubbing the knees to free them from the remaining sensation of fingers skittering on them. Ritsu threw one of his arms on his eyes, letting all the giggles and wobbly laughter get out of his system, breathing slowly going back to it’s normal pace.
It took a few minutes until he could talk without falling back to the laughing pit.
“That was your message?”
“No. Shou asked me to tell you to meet him at the central shopping mall tomorrow after school.” Mob paused a bit, Ritsu already thinking about how he would say to Shou that his brother was no messenger pigeon and for him to actually use his phone once in a while before having his thoughts cut by the rest of the shorter’s sentence. “But you told me what was wrong. I wanted to help you.”
Oh.
It was soft, the relaxing the silence that fell on them. Literally. Because relaxing made Ritsu let go of his powers (when did he activate them again?) that were keeping them and a handful of objects in his room hoovering in the air, which made all of them have a less than stellar encounter with the floorboards.
But, as both the Kageyamas brothers re-organized the room, two twin sets of fond, content smiles decorating their features, they couldn’t say exactly that they minded the turn of events that happened on that evening.

A Successful Hunt
Kanene’s notes: I just wanted to write some more of Shigeo and Ritsu being silly kids dfghjjhgfd. I am in a hurry rn so maybe some parts will be confusing, hope it’s still an enjoyable story tho. Thanks for your attention! I will be proofreading and posting it on AO3 later ^.^
Warnings: There is raspberries, nibbles and lots of mentions of ants and spiders in the beginning. Switch!Ritsu and Switch!Shigeo. Both Shigeo and Ritsu are small kids here. Around 1.000 words.
[~*~]
The door opens slowly, with a silent, almost inaudible screech.
The spider looks at the distracted prey. It’s an ant. Hardworking, organized, careful. Usually too much difficult to catch with a lowered guard, but today it is way too unaware of anything beyond the leaves on its clutch to realize the slow creep of the predator in its direction.
That is good, the spider internally celebrates. It has been watching the ant for days now (or maybe a few minutes, time doesn’t matter when you’re a spider) just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
And the perfect moment arrived.
This will be a successful hunt. The spider can feel it, no sound following its steps as it gets closer and closer to its target. Today it will be able to have a big feast. A good meal. A fulfilling banquet.
Just a few meters and then the hunt will succeed.
The spider hides itself next to a crafty piece of wood, crouching, articulations bended and lightly wiggling its butt to prepare for one and only jump that will close the last half meter of distance between the arachnid and the arthropod and bring a sweet victory to the older one.
One of the hunter’s legs hit a rock on the crafty wood by mistake, bringing it to the ground with a sharp, loud clattering that echoes in the entire universe.
The ant’s head immediately turns to look at him.
The cover has been blown! It needed to be now! The spider jumps, landing on the soft cushion with a quiet ‘oof’ barely letting itself recover before quickly scrambling to pin the other to the comfy ground when it tries to run away with a characteristic high pitched squeak.
“Nonono! Not again! That is not fair, nii-san I was studying. Don’t!!”
The spider mouth opens, merciless, inescapable, inevitable. A perfect mirror of the cycle of life. Just one more move for a successful hunt. His head comes down, touching the vulnerable skin and-
“PTTBTBBHBTBHTBHPT”
Loud laughter fills the entire room. Ritsu tries to push his head away, legs kicking madly and body shaking with the force of his surprised laughter as his older brother refused to leave his stomach alone, smaller - but still equally deadly - raspberries following the first one, spreading across his sides and almost edging the spots right below his lowest ribs.
For a second all his brain could do was only blue screen, embarrassing high and uncontrolled giggles spilling non stop from his lips as his limbs trashed around without any purpose or coordination to protect himself from the surprise tickly attack that abruptly interrupted his homework.
He didn’t even do anything this time!
A curious nibble hit his rib.
“NO!” The shorter and younger Kageyama (his mom said that if Ritsu kept drinking milk and eating all his vegetables he would grow taller than Shigeo. His dad promised he would help him to style his hair with gel to give him a few more inches if her plan didn’t work) didn’t know that the tickles could get even tickler, however sudden snorts and crackles began to happily chase his laughter, more and more nibbles coming to attack all across his ribs, more enthusiastic and energetic, as if powered by the reactions they got. “Niihihihihisan you cahahahahan’t! PleheheheasEEK!”
Shigeo hummed proudly at his accomplishment, not realizing how such simple action lead to a sea of electric ticklish shocks to run across his sibling’s torso, but stopping the nibbles and raspberries anyway when the babbles of his brother became too incoherent and his hands tried once again to push his head away, a few fingers tugging at his hair painfully before he carefully untangled then.
(It was fine. Ritsu was his little brother. A little kid. And little kids don't know how to control their strength well. He could never get angry at his bro because of that.)
He smiled at Ritsu, proud for being a successful hunter and content with the mirth shining on his eyes and the big smile that was reflected right back at him.
Before, of course, his brother tried to hide it with a half-protesting pout that barely hid the way the cornerss of his mouth were still turned upwards.
“Nii-san! I was doing my homework, you can’t just interrupt me like that. Now I will have to start it all over again.”
Shigeo’s eyes widened, his smile disappearing and gaze focusing in all the notebooks that had been thrown around the futon with the ruckus, only now realizing what was happening when he was too caught on playing pretend to notice.
“I am sorry, Ritsu.” His shoulders came to his ears, ashamed. Ristu felt his own scolding pout lose its form. “I just came here becau-”
“REVENGE!”
His shout cut the older words, eyes becoming wide again, reactions too slow to stop Ritsu’s hands when they shot to grab his ankle, pulling at it so abruptly that it broke Shigeo’s balance, making him fall on the bed with another quiet ‘oof’. A half squeak and half surprised gasp being fished from his throat when fingers began running clumsily on his sole.
“R-Ritsu!” huffs and puffs began breaking free from his mouth, snickers, chuckles and snorts that made him hug his shoulders with how much they were bouncing with a joyful energy falling like a stream and dancing in the air. “Ehehehe!”
“I got you.” The younger one only felt the mischief expand in his chest when he began scratching the arch of the feet, letting his fingers concentrate there for a few seconds before getting bored and chasing the jumpy, giggly ‘eeep’s that appeared every time he slipped to scribble his fingers under his toes. “You need to pay more attention, nii-san! Or everyone will be tickling you all the time and you won’t even notice before it’s too late.” He huffed.
“B-but I like it!” Shigeo answered, amidst giggles, cheeks puffed and red spreading across his face as his laughter grew louder.
“Hm...” Ritsu thought a bit, changing to attack his knees when too many hiccups began taking over the air. Yelps jumped at every squeeze that was delivered to the new targeted tickle spot. “Then I will stop them if they tickle you too much!”
His voice was determined.
“Ohohohokay.” Shigeo felt his smile get bigger, looking at his little brother for a second before coming to a decision. He nodded. “Aahahand then I can t-tickle them too!”
Suddenly sitting, he hugged Ritsu, almost making them both fall on the bed when the younger yelped at the sudden movement and wobbly tried to squirm away, more laughter already painting his protests even before hands started drumming on his armpits.
“No more revenge! No more revehehehehe!” But still, he tried to control himself to not trash too much and hurt Shigeo.
In the end, he and his brother were very much alike.
More high pitched squeals. Both Ritsu’s uncontrollable loud laughter and Shigeo’s remanent huffed giggles filled the entire room in a playful, silly manner.
But Ritsu had a secret move. One that would guarantee his victory and buy himself time before he could make the perfect plan to get Shigeo back.
He resorted to the highest one in the hierarchy.
“MOHOHOHOM! NII-SAN IHIHIHIS TICKLING MEEK!”
Shigeo gasped, a mix of surprise and betrayal, tickling coming to a stop as both of them tried to not fall back in a mess of titters, waiting for the answering shout of their monarch.
“YOU TWO STOP PLAYING AND COME GET YOUR SNACK BEFORE IT GETS COLD! SHIGEO, I ASKED YOU TO GO GET YOUR BROTHER, NOT START FOOLING AROUND.”
The shout was a mix of fondness and exasperation that only mothers could make. They got up, legs wobbly and left over snickers yet following their every move.
Shigeo squeaked when a finger poked his side, turning around just in time to see Ritsu smiling at him before running away through the door, a “Coming, mom!” being left behind.
Shigeo blinked twice before realizing what was happening and quickly - and still clumsily - following his brother, trying to be careful to not hit the walls with the sharp turns and squeaky floorboards.
The spider and the ant raced to the kitchen.

The v cool @carrie-tate asked about my tickle headcanons of Teruki (EVERYONE HERE SUSH IT’S <3 <3 h i m <3) in This Asky because of This Post and I shall answer because Teru is one of the most interesting and fun charaters to me so! Let’s gooo!!
Tumblr media
🦁 Teru’s Headcanons 🦁
(Teru's new hair reminds me of a lion cub so that is the emoji of today VWHGWYWGW)
He is just so *incoherente noises*. This guy has just so much Vibes I can’t take it
Tickling someone? YES. Being tickled? Absolutely yes. He is perfect for everything and that is a fact.
First of all, Teruki is a hell of a ler. Not only because he knows how to look for sweet weak tickle spots and has teases dripping freely from his lips before the person can even realize what is happening, his attentive eyes actively searching for everything that makes the bean that is being tickled flustered and giggly and just latching on those things until the person is lost admist laughter and tickly tingles.
(Mob lost the count of the amount of times Teru would manage to make him squeal tickling spots that he isn’t even aware he was ticklish in the first place)
But, anyway, he is one of the biggest lers ever because he. is. so. smug.
He is very good at making people a mess of giggles and he knows that. And he knows that you know that he knows that. So, the entire time attacking someone with clawing fingers and distracting pokes he will just have That Smile. The Smile. The Smug, Teasy, Playful smile that automatically makes shivers run across the your spine and makes giggles bounce on your throat.
He doesn’t have a very good poker face because of that, btw. Mah boy can’t pretend that he didn’t realzie he was tickling someone by accident or feigning innocence for his LIFE
Teru doesn’t do a lot of antecipation too. He is more of a:
“Hmm. I think I am going to tickle you.”
            “Wha-”
And then give the person no time to process his words or run away sdfghgfdsdfg
EXCEPT when it comes to Shigeo. Because he is extremely cute trying to not titter and yelp every time Teru decides to tease him w anttecipation by lightly - very, very lightly - skittering his fingers on his torso and wondering out loud about “What tickle spot should he gave his especial attention today?~’
Talking about cute and soft things, Teru is an absolute SOFTIE. Yes, he is an evil, teasy, smug, playful and meanie ler who can and will use all his tickly power (both metaphorically and literally because no, he is not above using his powers to help him tickle someone sdfghjhgf) but he is WEAK for cute things. He will forever deny it but making someone just... laugh is very nice. It’s fun. It feels like he is able to make something important, to impact someone’s live positively even without his powers.
Now, now, talking about adorable things, don’t even get me started on Teruki as a Lee. Because ohhh gosh.
Oooohhh gosh
Before everything I 100% agree with your Teru’s in a Lee Mood headcanons and they are *chef kiss* fabulous, perfection, incredible absolutely amazing.
Now picture with me: Mob in a Ler Mood and being too shy to do something about it and Teru realizing. And he wants Mob to loosen up a bit more! He wants him to just feel free to be playful and silly with no worries
So he decides to be a gremlin.
Teru will act a bit like the way he is when in a Lee Mood, but with less embarassement. He will be stretching all the time, wearing crop tops and asking for Mob’s opinion, tapping his own fingers on his stomach or sides, laying on Shigeo’s lap and putting his hands behind his head, sometimes even giving Shigeo a poke or two to show he would be okay w a tickle fight in that moment.
And then Mob (and here I am heavily LOOKING at Otomiya’s idea of Mob tickly “”power”” building up until 100%) will finally attack and Teru IMMEDIATELY will go from a grinning come-on-tickle-me-I-dare-you to NONONONOWAITWAITPLEASEPLEASEWAIT in like half of a second.
That man can’t take what he dishes out AT ALL. If someone gives him a single one (1) jab on his side and he is falling on the floor he is smiling like crazy he is pleading for mercy he is ded.
Maybe it’s because he was so used to being feared and looked upon during his entire life before his fight with Shiego but the idea of someone being silly? Tickling him and being teasy and having fun and paying attention to him and not his powers his reactions and smiling and caring makes him very, very, veeeery flustered. And extremely giddy. And at least 100% more ticklish because holy gosh-
99,9% of the times he is tickled he was almost sure he was melting and honestly by the awed way Shigeo looks at him when he is tickling the blonde maybe that is still a possibilty SDFGHJKMJNHB
He has ticklish elbows. Mob can tap-tap his way from his wrist to his elbows and he will giggle and snort his head out. Sorry that is the true I don’t make the rules.

Me: You know what. I think that we should explore more the tickling potential of supernatural powers on Mob Pyscho 100.
Also me, writing another fic for the fandom: *does not do that*
(anyway tk headcanons on the tags because I refuse to take these thoughts to my grave SDFGHJUKIJHG)

lose myself in you
(ritsu, shou)
summary: maybe ritsu should start rethinking his relationships.
a/n: first mp100 fic wooo
[this is a sfw tickle fic!]
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
The pros of becoming friends with Shou: having friends.
The cons: being friends with Shou.
Ritsu needs so many headache medicines.
“Oh, Ritsu~” coos Shou in that damn voice of his, and Ritsu tries to pretend it doesn’t affect him—like it doesn’t send heat rushing to the tips of his ears.
“Give me a break,” he says, forcing himself to sound level.
He can practically feel Shou’s pout. “I haven’t seen you much lately! I should make up for lost time, shouldn’t I?”
No, Ritsu wants to say, you definitely shouldn’t, but he made a mistake by not running the second he sensed a change in Shou’s mood, since now the redhead is pinning him down, Ritsu’s hands under his friend’s knees.
He always does this, every single time; leaves enough room for Ritsu to get away, only to tease him relentlessly when he doesn’t.
“Suzuki,” he tries to negotiate, but it proves to be futile when Shou vibrates his fingers into Ritsu’s ribs.
“W-wAHAHAhahait—it tihickles—!” he gasps, squirming frantically to no avail.
He can just barely hear Shou’s crooning over his own laughter. “Your laugh is so cute, how am I ever supposed to stop?”
And it’s so much worse, because Ritsu is a stranger to tickling—ever since his parents stopped as he got older, and Shigeo was never the touchy type in the first place—but he’s even less accustomed to teasing.
Ritsu doesn’t like being helpless. He hates it. So why, he yearns to know, isn’t he fighting back? Because he can. He’s perfectly capable of it, considering Shou knows his boundaries and always leaves him a way out, it’s just that Ritsu never takes it.
He manages to free one of his hands from underneath Shou, and then he promptly realises that he doesn’t know what to do with it (doesn’t want to do anything with it). Shou only laughs, and when Ritsu just leaves it there for a few moments longer, he takes it back in his grasp.
Ritsu is having fun, and he has no idea why.
He thinks it might be because he’s, at the very least, given an escape route. He isn’t completely helpless. He thinks it could be because it’s Shou, who he trusts, and something about it feels natural. He thinks a lot of things, but he forgets them all in favour of focusing on Shou’s wiggling, electrifying, torturous fingers.
“Poor Ritsu,” coos Shou. Mockingly. “You’re just too ticklish, aren’t you?”
“St—ahahaha! Dahahamn yohou!”
Shou’s fingers curl around his waist, pressing into his sides. “You could get out of this so easily, you know. You are a psychic.”
Ritsu makes a noise of protest. “Cahaha—cahan’t focus,” he weakly defends himself, making Shou grin.
“I never get to hear you laugh,” Shou sighs, massaging his thumbs into Ritsu’s hips and acting casual, as if Ritsu isn’t squealing under him. “You should do it more often!”
“Ahaha—absolutely nohohohot!” Ritsu cries, and for his own sake he ignores the warmth spreading over his cheeks. It’s not like Shou is wrong. He doesn’t properly laugh very often. That doesn’t mean Shou has to torment him like this, though. Maybe he should try being funnier or something.
(Ritsu voiced this to his friend, once, only to end up in a fit of laughter—and it was not because Shou took his advice.)
Ritsu knows the main reason Shou does this is because he finds it amusing when he gets flustered. Which isn’t fair, because it’s even easier to embarrass Shou; Ritsu once thanked him and he’d turned bright red, although it could just be that Ritsu is hardly ever nice to him.
“Gohod dahahamn it!” Ritsu groans, trying not to look like he’s enjoying this, which is a difficult task, considering the uncontrollable laughter spilling out of him.
“You’re sensitive everywhere, huh?” Shou giggles, scribbling all ten fingers on Ritsu’s stomach.
Ritsu snorts, making Shou gasp in excitement and causing his face to feel hot. “I’m nohohot! Ihi—stohop! I hahate yohou!”
Shou shows no signs of mercy. “It’s your own fault for being so ticklish, really,” he shrugs, dead set on breaking Ritsu down into a pile of giggles. Which he has already succeeded in doing, so there’s no reason to keep going.
Ritsu is a mess by now, he wouldn’t be able to stop laughing if he tried. He’s sure his hair is a wreck, too, and he has the urge to fix it but Shou always tells him that it’s cute.
He’s too caught up in his own embarrassment to notice Shou reaching back—until he scratches behind his knee, and Ritsu completely shuts down.
“S-Suhuhu—Suhuzukihihi!” he gasps. “Stohohop thahat! I’ll—k-kihill yohohou!”
“Oh?” says Shou, in a voice that sends chills down Ritsu’s back. “Don’t tell me you’ve been hiding this spot from me?”
“N-nohoho, no,” Ritsu tries to bargain. “Just—nohot there, nohohot thehere!”
Shou curls his fingers into the skin. “Not where, huh? Not here?”
“F-fuhuhucking mohove!” Ritsu snarls, and he tries to sound threatening but he can’t. It apparently has the exact opposite effect, judging by how Shou smirks and pointedly does not move. He’d been so desperately hoping that Shou never found out about that spot, because he knew that he’d never know a moment of peace after that. He was right, it seems, as proven by the absolute torture he’s going through now.
And then it stops.
Ritsu catches his breath, taking a moment before he blinks open his eyes, only to see Shou hovering above him.
They stare at each other for a second before Shou bursts out laughing. “Was—was it so bad I forced you into using your powers?” he giggles.
Ritsu grumbles in embarrassment, then releases his powers (he cringes at the sound of something else falling on the ground—it seems Shou wasn’t the only thing he accidentally lifted) and lets Shou land on top of him. He wastes no time wrapping his arms around the boy, trapping him while squeezing at the sides of his stomach. Because, while the chance to exploit it doesn’t come often, Shou is nearly as ticklish as Ritsu himself is.
For a while after that, the room is filled with laughter that Ritsu definitely doesn’t find endearing, and for as much as Shou teased him, he really didn’t fight back at all.
