top 5 aa cases GO
THANKS this is a hard one but i got it
twisted karma and his last bow/the resolve of ryunosuke naruhodo: theyre tied for the top because they’re two halves of the same kickass fucking case. sickeningly good both on it’s own and as a resolution to the duology as a whole. i cant think about these cases for too long or i get sad. it was his journey all along 🥲🥲🥲 and one day they’ll meet again and they’ll be ready this time 🥲🥲 fuck the government 😊
the memoirs of the clouded kokoro: funniest shit on earth. i smile just thinking about this thing. why was it like that. i desperately want to play it in japanese to see how much of it is the fault of the translation team and how much is the original text. god
turnabout goodbyes: miles edgeworth, nuff said. blows away in the wind
turnabout memories: mia is there and phoenix eats glass. win. seriously i think this case is a lot of fun and super interesting but i cant focus on much other than he ate glass
the cosmic turnabout: is BAD but i likey it anyway. it and for tomorrow (which is basically the same case with some extra steps) had a lot of potential that it slam dunked into a garbage disposal, but it still has a lot of charm left in it that leads me to still hold a lot of affection for it
honorable mentions go to turnabout serenade, unbreakable speckled band, and great departure. i love aa4 and tgaa adventures both SO MUCH but they got beat out by the other games 🫡🫡 rip you fought valiantly

so a while ago I made a list of how every victim falls in Ace Attorney to determine the most common cause of death. this includes assaults/attempted murders (e.g. Edgeworth being attacked in The Kidnapped Turnabout, DGS1-4, DGS2-2, LV-1)

OTHER NOTES:
I honestly thought blunt force trauma would be the highest when I first listed these. I was wrong!
I know (MAJOR PLVPW SPOILERS) that no one in PLVPW actually died except Newton Belduke, but I still felt as though it was prudent to list them here as victims.
Tasing is a form of electrocution.
Technically, falling and getting crushed could both be forms of blunt force trauma, but “blunt force trauma” is more “something hits you” than “you hit something” imo? I think it’s a distinction worth making.
There are a lot fewer poisonings than I thought. I didn’t know whether to put Diego’s poisoning under Memories or Beginnings, so I put both.
Simon Keyes was pretty inventive tbh
English Turnabout is the only case in PLVPW with a proper name. I generally ID the chapters with court segments as the ones that are the “case names”, which works for every case but the last.
I might have missed some? I know for sure I missed the original Di-Jun Huang, but I couldn’t find his cause of death poking around the wiki. Let me know if I missed any more!

The great ace attorney resolve (TGAA 2) spoilers (text)

There's something I find extremely funny and ironic in this ''obscure'' Ace attorney character because each time I saw this mugshot shared on discussion groups it's like:
-Nobody knows who he is on first view
-And you can't really blame them because he has no mugshot programmed in the game save for two pieces of evidence.
-Also, only one piece of dialogue used once and no animation/stills programmed.
....This guy passed and died like a phantom yet if you construct the order of events in the entirety of TGAA he's one of the main reason the heroes start to get directly involved in the Professor case.
-The heroes discover Balmung's necklace he stole and hid in what is now Natsume's room once ''Memoirs of the clouded kokoro'' is finished
-Herlock panics and ask Iris to never record this case
-Meanwhile Soseki back to japan tells Yujin about it and the latter asks Susato to come back
-The adventure of the unspeakable story and Resolve (save for Memoirs) then happens
Also, Memoirs happened right after Adventure of the clouded kokoro. Naruhodo and Susato weren't even in London for a week after memoirs was done and they were already involved in this mess!
So yeah, kudos to Selden for being labelled obscure character while being one of the most important characters for simply his actions being one of the breaches for our heroes getting involved in the whole conspiracy.
