Halves company
Danny had a big problem: since a couple of days ago he had discovered that he didn't look good in pictures. He wasn't a vampire so he was actually in them but his eyes always looked bright green, and the photos left an eerie feeling.
His friends didn't mind, and his family much less (they had gotten along much better after revealing the whole secret), the problem was that he was due to take a trip to Gotham soon and he just knew he would have some pictures taken.
A couple of years ago Danny had accepted Vlad's request to "start over" and together they had formed a research company that specialized in several fields, among them: the technological field, advanced engineering, space engineering, and different ecto-related projects, although the latter was not revealed to the public.
Few months later "Wayne Enterprises" seemed very interested in their inventions for everyday life so they wanted to negotiate some deal and dig into their technology. Danny was fine with that, he had created those things to make people's lives easier.
The problem came when Bruce Wayne invited them to a gala, he told them that the "founders" of the company were very elusive about their identity (neither Vlad nor Danny liked cameras much in those days) and joked that it was a shell company for some illegal activities and it was better to check, Danny was not amused about it.
He accepted Bruce's invitation knowing full well that Vlad couldn't meet the challenge (or be polite about it), but once he got to the gala he saw all the reporters and knew he was screwed.
Would it be better to be unsettling or not appear in the photos at all?, he supposed it would be best to avoid all the cameras and say hello to Bruce or Lucius, talk a bit and then leave.
It was supposed to be easy: walk in, say hello, walk out; Of course, his plans had never been perfect, so before he knew it he was seeing the Wayne "kids", and a reporter from the Daily Planet looking extremely nervous.

🚨 Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor:
The occupation army systematically targeted dozens of programmers, information technology experts, and employees in this vital sector, in addition to destroying their companies' headquarters as part of the genocide in Gaza.
The occupation army targeted and killed the minds and experts, especially those proficient in information technology, programming, computer engineering, and influencers in these vital fields, just like other elites in the local community such as doctors, academics, and others.
Euro-Med documented a list that included several information technology experts, including programming and artificial intelligence, who were martyred as a result of the "israeli" military attacks that targeted their locations in various places in the sector.
The Euro-Mediterranean's documentation included the assassination of the prominent programming engineer "Haitham Mohammed Al-Nabahin," who was considered one of the most skilled experts in his field in the sector. He died along with his wife, the engineer Nesma Zuhair Sadeq, in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house they had displaced to in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on March 14.
Euro-Med documented the killing by the occupying army of Tareq Thabet, the program director of the "YUCAS" technological incubator affiliated with the University College in the Gaza Strip, and a graduate of the "Hubert H. Humphrey" American fellowship program, through bombing that targeted his home, resulting in his martyrdom and that of his wife, children, parents, and several family members.
Among those targeted and killed by the occupation army was also the software engineer Baraa Abdullah Al-Saqa, founder of the company (DITS) and specialized in website programming and smartphone applications (Senior and lead developer).
The list also included Mohammed Al-Attal, who passed on October 26, Hamza Al-Shami on November 2, and Obaida Khater on December 20, Anas Al-Sheikh on December 9, and Abdel Rahman Hamada on March 15, in addition to a group of other young programmers, including Rami Al-Sousi, Abdel Hameed Al-Fiomi, Bilal Zaqout, Ahmed Nidal Qadoura, the engineer Mohammed Hasouna, and others.
The crimes committed by "israel" through targeting and killing Palestinian talents and elites, and the widespread and deliberate destruction of companies and infrastructure, aim to hinder the development of the Palestinian society in Gaza in general and undermine its scientific, educational, and economic systems.
The crimes committed by "israel" aim to deprive vital sectors of the Palestinian society of specialized and distinguished personnel, which are difficult to replace in the short term, in addition to creating a state of panic and coercion among the remaining talents, which might push them to migrate.

TRAPPIST-1 c, the second of seven known planets in the TRAPPIST-1 system, orbiting an ultracool red dwarf star (M dwarf) at a distance of about 1.5 million miles and 40 light-years away from Earth. TRAPPIST-1 c is an interesting exoplanet because it’s basically a Venus twin: It’s about the same size as Venus and receives a similar amount of radiation from its host star as Venus gets from the Sun. With a dayside temperature of roughly 380 kelvins (about 225 degrees Fahrenheit), TRAPPIST-1 c is now the coolest rocky exoplanet ever characterized based on thermal emission, Webb data suggests.

A famous picture from the James Webb Space Telescope featured these star forming region of cold gas and dust light-years long inside M16, the Eagle Nebula, dubbed the Pillars of Creation. This image shows iconic stellar nursery. The Eagle Nebula is about 6,500 light-years distant. M16 lies along the plane of our Milky Way galaxy in a nebula rich part of the sky, toward the split constellation Serpens Cauda (the tail of the snake).

It makes me really upset that technology is so hostile to its users. I set up a laptop for my grandparent recently and I had to do so much just to make it usable. Windows is a nightmare to use without basically lobotomizing it. Internet browsers are so cluttered with ads and pop-ups that it's near impossible to smoothly find what you're searching for. If you have trouble seeing and need to zoom in or set the text as a larger font, then at least half the dang screen will be overtaken by ads. And especially for people who have trouble with their memory (such as elderly folks), it can be incredibly difficult to make use of computers or smart phones, because it's set up to constantly throw stuff at you that you don't need. And with phishing, people can't even check their emails safely. The modern user experience is to be constantly dodging ads, scams, and viruses and sadly a lot of people don't know how to defend themselves.

wait, the reason the steam is stopping support for windows 7/8/8.1 staring january 2024 is because the steam client runs on chromium???? and chrome stopped support for windows 7/8/8.1 earlier this year. so they are simply not going to let the steam client even open after this coming january?? this is super fucked up

Duviri Paradox dropping today. And with it the Enhanced Engine as default graphics engine (no worries, in the game launcher it’s possible to revert to Classic). *sighs*
A shout out to all the Tenno out there which - following this update - due to potato hardware, limited funds or lack thereof to get a better PC/console, will still be playing on Classic. Aware that they’re basically on borrowed time before the retirement of the old graphics engine. When? Beats me, DE will tell soon? Hopefully?? ??? Let’s all enjoy this last and crazy ride while it lasts. TT^TT
