Necrot - Mortal. How great is this cover art? I absolutely would have blindly bought this at a record store as a kid. Luckily this awesome album is worthy of its artwork. Prepare to see this on all the year-end lists.

Who do you think is a unproblematic band?? And good , fuck Metallica they’ve sucked for years anyways

I'll start by saying it's literally impossible to be unproblematic. Everyone is going to mess up at some point. Depends on the severity of what happened and how that person/band handles it afterwards, that's how I personally measure problematic-ness.

Some bands have had periods where they have a problematic member/s (such as the first two/three here), or some have been problematic throughout. Incantation? Problematic in the past, the vocalist of Onward to Golgotha is a shitty guy (seeing he was in Disma as well). Pestilence? One of the members was also shitty. Exodus, Slayer, Pantera, the list goes on...

That being said, there are bands that aren't shitty like that and haven't ever been (as far as I'm aware) ! Bolt Thrower, Power Trip, Necrot, Hellripper, Code Orange, Mastodon, Ghoul, Frozen Soul, and Sanguisugabogg are a few I can confidently say seem reliable. If you go off those, I'm sure you can find lots of other good bands to support. I know there are some bands that are labeling themselves as "anti-facist *insert metal subgenre*" which could also be worth looking into.

The record label Tankcrimes has started a video series of metal artists denouncing racism in the metal scene which I really appreciate. That could also be a good way to find some bands to support!

Necrot Lesatkan ‘Stench of Decay’ Dengan Gempuran Destruktif

Necrot, trio Oldschool Death Metal yang ramai diperbincangkan dalam 3 tahun terakhir ini baru saja kembali dengan melesatkan “Stench of Decay” sebagai single terbaru. Blood Offerings, album yang rilis pada tahun 2017 lalu menghantarkan nama Necrot kian melesat cepat di ranah underground hingga akhirnya mereka bersanding dengan band-band Death Metal veteran lainnya dalam promo tour album.

Stench of Decay masih bermain dengan pola riff-riff apa yang dihadirkan Necrot pada album Blood Offerings. Single baru inilah menjadikan langkah selanjutnya untuk Necrot menuju album baru bertajuk “Mortal” berisikan 7 track yang akan rilis pada 28 Agustus mendatang via Tankcrimes. Necrot juga menjanjikan dimana Mortal akan benar-benar menampilkan riff-riff destruktif, melodi gitar yang sedikit rumit, dan masih dengan raungan karakteristik guttural sang vokalis.

Dalam proses recording Necrot mempercayakan Greg Wilkinson (High On Fire, Autopsy) sebagai engineer dan mastering dikerjakan oleh Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, Mastodon) di West West Side. Cover album Mortal digarap sangat epic oleh  Marald Van Haasteren, sang ilustrator yang pernah mengerjakan artwork untuk Baroness, Kvelertak dan Mortuous.
