Okay now we've got some confirmation I think my theory was right:

Before the end of mag200, the protocol world was either neutral or, like lena said, benevolent and now after the fears came into the world not only did the fears get messy so did the others, these things that already existed became tainted that's why they all seem to be the force of desire, and mostly resemble multiple fear entities
