i went out w my brother n his friends for his 21st bday and we went bar hopping nd to a few clubs my first time ever going out lmaoo

... I feel like I may need to reevaluate my relationship to my own art again. On the one hand I'm rarely motivated to draw anything I don't Want to, which is its own problem, but on the other hand I still feel this... weird reluctance about doing art that feels especially self indulgent, like... I somehow need to downplay my joy about Juniper getting kisses? it feels almost like it's... I dunno... predictable in a way that feels embarrassing, which is obviously stupid and more than a little frustrating

Khare doesn't really have many hobbies. It's expensive enough just being able to rent an apartment on Miagani Island which, due to location, is pricey af due to having so many retail and entertainment facilities close by. She manages to scrape by thanks to decent tips and odd jobs on the side like helping somebody she knows move their furniture or paint their lounge, though these occasions are far and few in-between and only something she does when she's really desperate for money. Since she doesn't need to sleep much, Khare does like wandering Miagani Island to check out places and go window shopping. She can't afford anything but the cheapest knock-offs and thriftstore donations but hey, it's still nice to look and maybe if she's really lucky, she'll find a bargain. It's not much but it makes her happy, and the things she likes tends to be colourful and sparkly. Something about them just pleases her immensely, catching her eye so some colourful stickers to add to her Gameboy can be a real mood lifter. Her closest hobby is probably feeding the pigeons at the local park. Khare has to do something with the leftovers she takes home at the end of her shift and the stuff she can't eat she'll toss to the birds. The pigeons get excited when they see her and come flocking, helping her to feel a little less lonely in a city she's not supposed to be living in.

i feel like every time ive seen a youtuber guy do a ‘girlfriend does my makeup’ video they always have an ‘allergic reaction’ to the makeup afterwards and im not saying the reaction is fake im just saying that i think maybe its an affect of having 10 pounds of paste put on their face and in their eyes for the first time in their lives. they always use foundation and concealer and highlighter and everything you would use for a full face of makeup and obviously thats the point of the video but did anyone really ever start out with doing that much makeup all at once i know nobody came out of the pussy knowing how to contour. im just saying i dont think your five billion makeup products are actually hydrating and promoting skin health i think your body has just adjusted to this foreign sludge being put on your face every single day

Rafael has taught himself how to pick locks and has committed trespass numerous times for a good story.

When Rafael was 12 years old he found his mother dead at the bottom of the stairs in their family home.

After his first marriage had come to an end, Rafael did as David Bowie and moved to Berlin-Schöneberg for a couple of months in an attempt to get his life back together.

Three things your character likes to do in their free time:

Not having free time. Like. Seriously. Rafael is a workaholic and he greatly enjoys working. When he's not actively writing or researching, you bet he's at least trying to connect some dots in his mind.

Dancing, or attending live music events.

Spending time with loved ones - though that has to be initiated by said loved ones 90% of the time.

Three people your character loves:

His brother/s - Rafael is the archetype of the protective older brother and he'd do anything to keep his brother/s safe. He also loves his father, but don't tell Nick.

His children - even if he wasn't always present during their childhood, he still loves them dearly and tries to support them as best as he can.

His significant other - verse dependent; but when Rafael falls in love, he falls in love hard. He's a charmer, a romantic, and wants his partner to know that he loves her with every fibre of his being.

Two things your character regrets:

Having put his work before his family life; he missed a good chunk of his kids' childhood and his marriage eventually broke up over his lifestyle choices.

Turning to stimulants and popping pills when coffee wasn't enough to fuel his all-nighter writing sessions anymore. He's several years clean, but is now faced with man-made sleeping problems that he sometimes attempts to combat with alcohol. Which isn't ideal either.

Three phobias (fears) your character has:

Heights. You go climb that lookout tower. Rafael thinks the view's good enough from down here with both his feet on solid ground. Thank you.

Addiction. Rafael has had an unhealthy relationship with stimulants in the past, and a rocky one with alcohol currently. Add to that cases of alcohol abuse in his family (his father and son); it's safe to say Rafael is scared of addiction, relapsing, but most of all to speak about it.

Stairs. Perhaps more a quirk rooted in trauma, but Rafael will avoid going down stairs if possible and always clutches the handrail as if his dear life depends on it.

#as I keep saying graduate school should be illegal I loved my undergraduate classes #like yeah the thesis was from hell I had a rough senior year but like #my classes were hard but like?? I had time to have a life?!? like?!?#I didn’t take any easy a classes bc I knew I’d get bored right and I always took the maximum credit hours like it was fun and challenging #but like I got to sleep?!? I wasn’t just constantly running around with my head cut off trying to at least halfway be kinda caught up #like this sucks?!? this isn’t good?! like what the fuck this is just a great way to amke people hate learning and school #which I personally think is not a good thing to do in a profession that requires continuing education each year and by its nature needs #a love of learning/or at least not hating reading #great way to like get people used to an unhealthy life style #like I’m frustrated. I wish I could just refuse to be in this awful lifestyle but like ??? I need to pass. I’m fighting for my life and #getting bs which sounds good but is apparently just awful and bad in law school for some fucking reason #and like. fuck Im paying so much money #and like if u don’t read or whatver I don’t know what’s going on and then I’m just so lost about everything it sucks!! it’s bad #idk. I’m so pissed about this like law school should be illegal #truly like makes sense #every lawyer I met in undergrad like in my prelaw clssses said I was the smartest person there bc I didn’t plan to go to law school #they said don’t go to law school if u don’t have to don’t be a lawyer it fucking sucks #and I was like well I’m an artist every artist says the same thing too and same with a lot of engineering computer science it just must be #people hate their jobs #no it’s not it’s those other industries lack of unionization/ just hell stuff making it so terrible working conditions and then #law is just a culture of awfulness??!#also like truly not meant for people with disabilities huh I feel accommodated for the first time in my life in only my disability law class #but like Christ almighty #maybe people who don’t have like learning disabilities don’t have to spend like all of their waking time on law school basically #but it’s evil and bad and people shouldn’t have to live like this I’m not even truly mad on my behalf that much #bc I know I’ll be fine at the end of the day right idk. I’ll make it work but also I’m incredibly lucky to be able to like have a place to #live with family and like don’t have to worry too much about like meal planning/cooking all the time right #like I don’t have to worry about a lot of things that are small but build up right #re the spoons and brain power it takes up right #but like people who aren’t this luckily they are truly just set up to fail and if they succeed accept horrible work life balance
