Got Cyclonus all figured out and base sketch finished for 4/5 characters. Just gotta refine Soundwave, maybe make him just a tad wider at the shoulders, or a bit taller looking. I wanted him to look like he was hunched and leaning since he's got dorsal spines and winglets that make it hard for him to sit against anything really comfortably, I'd assume. ...and then once that's done, figure out how to draw backgrounds. @altraviolet let me know if you want anything tweaked, to how you envisioned it while writing! I tried to stay true to the paragraph in ch. 44 in how they were sitting around Soundwave, and figured once they fell asleep would be fully leaning against him.
Honestly I got more done on Cyclonus while also playing Fortnite with my nephew at the same time (Getting my rear end handed to me in UNO, of all things.. he's a ruthless player for a five year old, I swear), then I had last weekend beating my head trying to get him down. Go figure multitasking and gaming while sketching is how I'd manage it lol

But what if... Iberian elves?
Neolithic populations of the British Isles reveal genetic threads leading to present day Northern Spain and Portugal. Of particular interest, in relation to the later Celtic culture (6th century BC) then would be the Celtiberians.
The oldest identified population of the Islands belonged to the same group as the Greek Pelasgians or the Italians Etruscans. Anglo-Saxon historians call this mysterious people Iberians, because they are believed to have come from the Iberian Peninsula. It is not known from where they came to the Iberian Peninsula, when they landed in the British Isles and whether they found and conquered any indigenous, ancient races there.3
The Iberians did not leave many traces of themselves in the Islands (if, of course, we do not count the Stonehenge and New Grange), which leads to the conclusion that they did not develop like the Etruscans, but remained at a rather primitive level of civilizational development until the arrival of the Gallic Celts (around 6th century BC), an ethnic group of particular interest to us.
Part of the indigenous primeval population of Britain (the alleged Iberians), survived, however, they did not integrate with the Gallic Celts and were not conquered. These were the tribes that inhabited the wild, inaccessible highlands and mountains in the north of the Island - Albany, which is today's Scotland. These northern tribes, as we will see later, defended themselves against foreign pressure very effectively and for a very long time.

Truthfully, this is not meant as elves = Celts. Or that elves = Iberians. It is merely to repeat: elves are migrants. A wave of migrants shrouded in myth and dreams, who - by mixing history and legend - would have given Celts many of their deities, places of worship, and culture (possessing similar language, traditions, cultural mores/taboos, etc). Strange folk, who arrived one day in their white ships, only to - in time - forsake these shores just as suddenly; leaving behind an ubiquitous mark of their presence. If you were Irish, then you might have called them Tuatha Dé Danann - Tribe of gods, or, later, Children of the Goddess Danu. If Welsh, then Ellyllon, or Tylwyth Teg, the host of Annwn. If Scottish, then Aos Sí, Sidhe.
The British Islands, as we call them today, were exceptionally lucky in terms of the people living there. They have been visited over and over again since time immemorial. After defeating the indigenous population, the invader quickly became an "aboriginal" only to be defeated and conquered by someone else who became an "indigenous" again, and so on. Thanks to this, it is not known who was the "real native" there. I mean, it wouldn't be known if it weren't for myths and legends.

Hi, quick question regarding Ksoo leaving. I remember back in 2019 Ksoo took the decision to go to military without informing Ji. Hopefully both had good talk b4 Ksoo pulled the final straw on SM?
Yes that was it. But about this, I mean the latest news, it's impossible to not tell not only Ji but even the members first before even telling the company. And it's not something he decided last minute! Remember he was rumored to have left back in March 13th 2019 remember? And there's a whole essay and many posts talking about this in this blog written by the old admins back in 2021. The members saw this coming since 2019 since he told them back then all his plan was this. And all of their plan was to all leave in the first place. Exo always talk to each other before talking to the management and this blog talked a lot about how the Exos refused to tell any SM staff not even their managers about their plan before the renewal after their 7+3 years official contract ended despite all Staff and their managers even their families tried to get teg slightest idea from them but they swore to not open their mouth until they're all decided and until it's time to Talk which was during the renewal.
. It's an important matter, because it's not only about him it's about all of the group, he can't be selfish, the military enlistment was his choice and it was only related to him and the band was in hiatus anyways, he was in vacation also for 6 months no schedule no nothing, he fucked up and hurt his dearest person, he won't do it. But still it was not equal to this decision of leaving the company! That's not his choice alone and that's not related to him only, it was a group matter that would affect 8 careers.
I hope I made myself clear.

The Saligen
The myth of the Saligen predates Christianization and most likely even Germanic, Slavic and Roman rule of the Alpine territories.
These mythical beings appear to share similarities with creatures like the Bretonic Korrigan and the Welsh Tylwyth Teg. Moreover, they also exhibit some commonalities with the Norse Huldra and the Roman Faun, primarily through their close association with nature.
As they are sociable and not solitary beings, they are often counted among the Germanic elves or Celtic fairies, though unlike these, the Saligen are not small, but instead approximately human-sized. Therefore, they are sometimes seen as half-gods instead. In contemporary folklore, the Saligen are interpreted either as the offspring of elves and humans, thereby suggesting the existence of male Saligen, or as enchanted princesses.
Given their remarkable similarity to the elves from "Lord of the Rings", one might speculate that J.R.R. Tolkien drew inspiration from the Saligen.
Appearance
The Saligen are exclusively depicted as female beings. They are usually described as tall, exceptionally beautiful, and having blonde hair. The Saligen are often portrayed wearing loose, white dresses.
Behaviour
The Saligen are usually thought of as shy, kind-hearted, and wise individuals. They tend to stay hidden from regular people. However, if someone needs help, the Saligen are quick to offer assistance.
Some stories mention that one should avoid encountering a Saligen during full moon, as unlucky individuals who cross paths with them are seduced to spend the night together. Those who fall victim to this encounter are left as soulless bodies.
Saligen are said to live either in caves or underground villages surrounded by a wooded environment to conceal their entrances or in ice palaces.
These beings possess some magical abilities, but unlike elves and dwarves, they cannot simply disappear or become invisible in front of humans. However, there is a belief that they, and even their spouses, are invisible until they initiate a conversation with someone. It is not known how they become invisible again.
Origin
The Saligen are also known as Salkweiber, Salaweiber, Antrische Dirn (Antric Girl), Schneefräulein (Snow Girls), Bergfrauen (Mountain Women), wilde Frauen (Wild Women) and weiße Frauen (White Women).
The term Saligen comes either from Old Bavarian sālīg (kind-hearted, blessed) or is related to modern Bavarian Seäl (soul). Also, an origin from the Suleviae, a group of celtic godesses attested in many inscriptions in Noricum, has to be considered.
Antrisch (in Antrische Dirn) could be a cognate to Old English entisc (gigantic, mysterious) or a borrowing from Latin antrum (cave).

Rather than your normal temperamental water spirits, they have a reputation for being kind and good natured, often making good wives to mortal men, though they must refrain from breaking certain taboos. Even if it is broken, they'll remain involved with their children and it's said that those descended from them make good healers.))

for a very long time I had planned for Rodimus & Soundwave to have an "I can't lose you" moment centered around Trailbreaker getting seriously injured in an accident. The scene is written and intensely emotional, and I still really like it. I wish I could've cannibalized it.
But after I started getting Trailbreaker's backstory down, I felt bad for him. He had already been through enough. He, an innocent side character, shouldn't be injured just so our MCs could have a dramatic moment. And that's good writing advice imho.

why does Avalach have that nickname?
I assume you mean Avallac'h as the nickname, as Crevan (Fox) is his real name (translating into 'Fox' in unicorn & Irish; befitting, by the way, as Tuatha Dé Danann of the Irish side of Celtic myth are one of the core inspirations for elves in The Witcher).
Why Avallac'h, then?
The name is a Latinized derivative of Afallach, with the root of the word being afal "an apple." Afallach, a Brythonic god originating in Celtic myth, is best known for his associations with Ynys Afallach ‘The Island of Apples’ or the Isle of Avalon - a mythical island between life & death.
Giraldus identifies the Isle of Avalon with Glastonbury, in De Instructione Principium (1193 -9): ‘what is now called Glastonia was anciently called Insula Avallonia, for it is like an island, wholly surrounded by marshes, whence it is called in British Inis Avallon, that is the apple-bearing island.’
William of Mamlesbury, in The Antiquities of Glastonbury (1216), follows this tradition. Glastonbury ‘is also well known as by the name of Insula Avalloniae’. He says it may be ‘named after a certain Avalloc who is said to have lived there with his daughters on account of it being a solitary place.
A father to Modron - a mother goddess - Afallach or Avalloc is held to be the ruler of the "island of apple trees"; an otherworldly haven to which King Arthur (& Geralt) are taken at the end of their perils. It’s the mythic Celtic Elysium.
Meanwhile, Sapkowski himself deems Avallac'h the Welsh god of evil spirits:
"The son of the lunar Nudd is Gwyn. Against his name (Gwyn means White), son of Nudd is the dark god of battle and death, ruler of Tylwyth Teg, Welsh evil spirits. Gwyn (called Melwas in Cornwall and Avallach in Somerset) was the Hunter, the Hunter of the Dead Souls."
Not only are Gwyn (ruler of a fairy otherworld) & Avallach the same deity, but the similarity is apparent at first sight (Avallac'h's introduction is given under Devil's Mountain, Mount Gorgon, where he patronises an array of evil, little creatures who heed his bidding & cease their "fun and games", not smashing in Geralt's face). Aen Elle - in the eyes of humanity - are most definitely something akin to "evil spirits." And Tylwyth Teg corresponds to "the fairy folk" who are described as fair-haired and coveting human children, whom they kidnap. It's poetry, really.
Furthermore, on apples. The fruit is commonly held as a symbol of fertility & sexuality, and it is especially representative of women’s Mysteries. Maiden, Mother, Crone - blossoms, fruit, black seeds. The symbol of Otherworldly paradise is related to the Feminine in Celtic (and other) cultures - for like the cauldron - it bears a strong association with wisdom and the womb. Consider further apple “the forbidden fruit” in Eden, or the apples of Elysium. Apples are often considered food of the gods, as well as granting impossible power or knowledge.
If we consider that the Witcher Saga does not shy away from admitting to the fundamental reality of its universe being fictitious, then why might Avallac'h in-universe go by the moniker?
Some thoughts:
Witcher gets meta-fictional. If Time is a circle & story-reality part of an “eternal recurrence”, who knows in how many realities & for how many times the story of elves - including Crevan’s personal one - has led to a similar point through different means (i.e. some special individuals take up many identities that they possess in different stories being told simultaneously & in parallel to The Witcher’s specific one - perhaps Aen Saevherne have access to knowledge of such realities via visions of past, present, and the future; all of which at the end of the day are but “versions” of a story the author picks.)
Perhaps Avallac’h found his way to the island of apple trees in search of Lara, even from beyond death?
He seems to enjoy bamboozling people & putting on some of that “larger than life” dust to his persona that somehow, inexplicably, also gives away a lot about his identity & story without Crevan necessarily having to share any knowledge about it to the peasants in person.
