Cruelty-free, affordable skincare brands to try🐰
In the last couple of years, there has been a huge surge in demand for cosmetic products that aren’t tested on animals or that contain any animal-derived ingredients. However, a lot of cruelty-free brands can be super expensive and hard to come by. Here are some top picks for certified cruelty-free skincare brands that won’t break the bank 💰
1. Sukin
I’m a big fan of Sukin’s products. They’re cruelty-free, vegan and leave out all the harsh and unnecessary ingredients that are present in a lot of other brands. They’re also carbon-neutral and make products that are reef-safe and therefore won’t have a large impact on the environment. Plus, a lot of their products are £10 or under, which is an absolute bargain for what they offer. Check out their skincare sets that offer even more value for money.
2. The Ordinary
Anything but ordinary, The Ordinary are a budget, cruelty-free skincare brand that keeps going from strength to strength. Many celebrities rave about the brand and quite rightly so, as they make efficient skincare for any type of skin type and concern for a fraction of the price of other coveted brands. They’re perfect for those that are a fan of acids, as their azelaic acid and glycolic acid products are high-strength and low-cost. You can’t go wrong with them.
3. Revolution skincare
Starting off as an adored make-up brand, Revolution have now moved into the skincare stakes. And with their high ratings and reviews, it seems they’ve mastered this game too. Just like their make-up (which I highly recommend by the way) their skincare is vegan and cruelty-free, and there are so many affordable products to choose from it’s difficult to keep count. So you can bet that there’ll be something that works for you!
4. e.l.f
Also known for their make-up, e.l.f have recently released new additions to their skincare line that have been lapped up by their fans. Plus they’ve never paid for or conducted any animal testing, so they have a squeaky clean record in that regard. A lot of people have likened their Bounce Back Jelly Cleanser to Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser, which is good news as e.l.f’s version is half the price of Glossier’s. It’s a no-brainer.
5. Yes To
It’s time to embrace the veggies with Yes To’s vegan, mostly all-natural brand. With skincare (and haircare) products using specific fruit and veg that help combat and treat particular skin needs and concerns, there’s something for everyone with this affordable, animal-loving company. Their 2 Step kits rank as some of their top bestsellers, so you can give an extra bit of TLC to targeted areas on the face for under £5. Sounds like a deal 🤝
