If forced to list my favorite artists working in comics, Jim Rugg would be high on that list. Beyond the fact that he's a multitalented designer and artist (and, no small thing, a master colorist), his ability to incorporate elements of comics' trash culture history into his work in new and inventive ways is always inspiring.
