i asked who the space player insert is based on a short while ago and so i still have my space player :)

anyway i should really find a new theme for this blog, huh? especially if i want to make a full comeback. if i do. something other than the old redux theme (despite how much i like how simple it is). i may have already found a new theme to use tho.

i've already edited some things on the blog. i edited some pages.

i am still very tuned in on writing/drawing for specifically game of dice tho (i love the characters and story there more than anything)

if you're wondering how the story is now (in the time since i posted that art of the 4), i have a whole rough timeline complete. including chapter names. (still unknown if i wanna post the story publicly) by rough i mean it's just short summaries of what happens in each chapter.

i wanted a timeline set (i did that for the old version of the story, it was actually mostly complete) before any actual writing. and i think the timeline is pretty much set. and i wrote part of chapter 1. wrote as in i blacked out after reading some of my old writing and woke up to about 200 words. that then expanded to 900 and counting. what being fueled by wanting to annoy a fave character does to me. and spite. also one of the main reasons for setting a timeline is the theme for act and chapter names i have. and every act and chapter has been properly named :) i think saying some of the chapter names would give things away, but i'll give away the name of Act I: Brand New Days

yes i am calling them acts like homestuck cause i like the stage play terms and how important music and the performing arts are to me and this AU. (plus music is so ingrained into homestuck itself, the fraymotifs [special moves] are musical terms for example). plus the old version had acts too

they're basically like this. the act is broken into parts with chapters. (of course there's more than 2 chapters for act 1)

if i were to write it in full again and post it, i'd post it to ao3. the old ews story is still there cause i don't want to delete the only archive of the story (aside from it being in my files) but don't read it. don't worry about it. oh god it's so old, don't look at it. i don't even have my fantrolls in it anymore. altho i have put it locked behind view to registered users only to make it somewhat private without getting rid of it. as well as disabled comments. my game of dice fics i've put there are far better, and it's not cause it's my game of dice bias (even tho those are old-ish too and predates the main story. and predates present nea [my game of dice fc])

altho i have did a little editing on a code to help make pesterlogs and memos look so much better than what they originally looked like in the old ews. i just decided to make this ahead of time in case it DOES come back to be posted publicly.

the new code (i just added extra bits in a copy/personal work skin that adds the 6): [AO3]

old (the dark bg is only due to me using a dark skin for ao3 overall)

new (not official logs/just made for testing, also these are the new unique handles for the 4 so it's no longer based on the irls. i hope the inspo for the handles is very obvious. sorry Matt did not speak in the memo, i just didn't know what to make him say. but there was already a lot to type. and by a lot to type i am talking about the code itself, even with copy+paste)

also i have some ideas for a new icon and header. the ideas i have are heavily persona 3 reload inspired. persona 3, especially reload, is one of the reasons i've thought about this AU again after all. what listening to full moon full life on repeat does to me. maybe the icon tho will be a redraw of the old one. which was from the old cover of when i was planning a comic version of the story. ...maybe i will redraw that cover, hm... who knows lol

❤ Is anyone in-system in a relationship? What kind(s)?

I'm not sure if this is asking about in-sys relationships or out-of-sys, so I'm just gonna cover in-sys relationships? Since I know everyone's comfortable with me talking about those.

Anyways, Voidsong is, uh, quadranted, as he puts it, to like half the system? Like, him and Mierco are moirails, him and Diakto are also moirails but they're matesprits too? They're in like. Some kind of quadrant QPR, ok, that's all I understand. And then he has this odd hate-moirail thing going with Crow, which is a different kind of quadrant QPR, and I really don't understand it, so please don't ask me to elaborate further.

Oh yeah, Vee also meddles when Mierco and Melara are getting too hate-y towards eachother, which is apparently another form of romantic relationship for trolls? Like I said, he's with half the fucking system.

Other than that, Mierco and Diakto are moirails with each other as well. Uh.

As far as friendships go, Aiclas and I are friends? She's friends with all the other trolls too. There's also Harry and Vee, oddly enough. Crow and Zeke are still trying to figure out friendship when one of them can only rarely leave front and the other can only rarely leave headspace? And of course Crow and I are friends too! (Really, I'd say to some degree we all kind of try to get along? There's not many of us and headspace isn't that big - and the front is even smaller - so... it's not like we can really avoid each other?)

Moving on.

Ah, I will keep it very real with you anon, I have no fucking clue. I do not think we all have the same memories, but I do think we have overlapping memories, if that makes sense? Like. Maybe Crow remembers all of a week «doubtful.» ...Okay, let's say Vee remembers all of a week, but Crow might only remember certain days, and I might remember different days than Crow? Am I making sense?

Also, like, I do not understand how memory gets assigned around here, because I can access memories I was in no way present for, which is really disconcerting?

Like I said, I don't know.

💛 How long have you known about your system / plurality?

Two or three years? Uh. How old is this blog? We figured it out a few months before Vee ended up making this blog, so... Yeah, about three years now.

💚 Do you have any funny stories about another system member(s) or about being a system?

Uh, hm. Okay, honestly, we had a kind of not so great night at work, so it's very hard for us to think of anything truly funny right now?

Which is a shame because, like, on a good night it's like having our own personal MST3K but actually funny in our head? Like, we'll have the main fronter or two, and then a few of us just chilling co-con and making commentary. We, uh, haven't had a lot of good nights recently.

Moooost of us are introjects? And like half of us are Homestuck fantrolls. So, uh, not a lot of variation in origin, no, lol.

i’m nyx or eris, i’m 31, witch of mind, capriza, mentally and chronically ill and an abuse survivor. my pronouns are they/them only and i’m bisexual. i live in south africa and it’s a shitty place. i use corel painter for the bulk of my work and clip studio/photoshop for flats and initial adjustments. i’m bound to say stupid edgy shit on posts because i am in the end, kinda edgy. i’m in chronic pain every day, a severe rotator cuff tear, hypermobile wrists, tendonitis, chronic headaches and fibromyalgia are the bane of my life and it’s draining as fuck.

i’m not a huge fan of the human characters but rose rules. i’m not getting into least favorite characters because i don’t want to make someone feel i’m attacking them for liking a character and the pieces with said character are upsetting, i’ve gone through that a million times with gamzee and it sucks ass

i’m not getting into heavy drama regarding this because i’ve done it so many times in the past and it’s headache inducing, i love gamzee. i’ve been sent gore for liking gamzee. i’ve also had horrible shit sent from people who like him and were attacked and it’s just. not something i’m getting into or changing about myself.

i fucking hate pesterquest and homestuck2, they’re fucked up stories and i hate that characters i genuinely love have been turned into such piles of shit. friendsim also has a ton of bullshit in it (think elwurd, lanque and marvus to be exact) but it was better than the absolute train wreck that pesterquest was. i don’t feel like going into heavy detail on this but you can message @emeradan for the full low down. act 2 also had a fuck ton of issues and my stories and head canons are based more in friendsim and the original homestuck comic than the pile of shit that is recent homestuck.

there are a lot of factors that come into play and im sort of convinced my ocs just aren’t interesting to anyone because they don’t fit a common mold and they’re too nice compared to others. so i have been avoiding my blog because i just dont think im good enough any more.

i’ll try to be on but i cant promise anything. im...also not gonna be on for the next few days as i have to finish something D&D related because despite being boring i have the audacity to Gm on Wednesdays. so i probably wont see messages on this blog for a bit?

People keep referring me in the furry community and I’m just about ready to cry of happiness because I’ve struggled so long to like my art and now there are people willing to pay for it, people who really do appreciate my work

and like, anyone can say whatever they want about liking your own art being enough, but when you have people who show that they really do love your art, its really a great feeling

and its not even about the money, its more that...idk, the support?

oof sorry im being emotional on main but I’m just very happy with how my art is developing

point one of ??: ships

im going to say right off the bat, i agreed to some of these. some of these i liked. a lot i agreed to because i was afraid to say no because i didnt want to upset them. some were forced on me. some were made without my knowledge. i will not go into specifics on which ships belong in which categories unless its necessary because this post would be extremely long, but please keep this in mind if you see me reacting positively in screenshots.

this screenshot shows me trying to break off all of our ships the first time. i say right down there at the bottom that i want all of them gone. i thought i was being pretty clear.

one of my trolls (kaivin) has a moirail to whom he is extremely attached. this isnt a secret. he is so attached, in fact, that the two share most quads. so anyone kaivin would get into a relationship with, his moirail would as well. ive posted about this many times and i believe its on his bio but dont quote me on that.

this is me trying to cut the ship off again. i really hate being mean and hurting peoples feelings so i was trying stay polite and let them know gently that hey, i dont want this. keep in mind, this took place after me attempting to cut all of our ships off.

i could put more here but im tired and itd make the post longer than it needs to be. bottom line, i got messaged about ships a lot even though i had cut them all off and literally started shipping with other people by that point. it wasnt a secret, i was posting about new ships.

small tidbit thats very nsfw: one of our ships that we had was purely for their kink, apparently.

for context: axel is my human disguised as a troll who lives on alternia.

literally if you look at cimefas bio, his whole character is just that hes kinky. thats it.

okay this bit is very gross but stay with me

right there, no minors. clearly stated. thats fine! thats whatever!! heres what i have the issue with. theyre currently waiting for a few of my friends who are minors to turn 18. no, this is not a speculation. they stated this.

i am keeping minors names blocked out, they dont need to be involved in this.

theres been a few instances of this, but heres the main one

i run a cool blog over at @broadcastappear. i got with a friend of mine and they made theirs one day, i made mine the next. of course, i was excited about this! i wanted to tell everyone about my cool new blog, so i started messaging people! them included!

before i get into the screenshots, here is the premise of both of our broadcast blogs:

slightly odd radio host trolls who talk to each other over the radio waves. my friends troll for their blog is crazy and stuck in the desert, mine is slightly less crazy and stuck in an apartment. shenanigans and extremely cryptic flirting ensue.

so i messaged them with a link to my blog after i made it.

take a closer look at that time stamp!

its a cryptic radio blog. same concept, formatting, plot, everything.

same day. it was an hour later, actually.

they were confronted about this and denied that their blog had anything to do with ours, even though it was a clear rip off. their blog has since been deleted, i believe.

anyway, in conclusion, i just really wanted this off my chest.

do with this information what you will. i dont care if i get hate for this, the people who know my situation know how badly this has been on me mentally. ive been archiving things in a server for months while ive been trying to cut them off and im just... fed up. i cant do it anymore. i feel gross. i am the main hub that this is circling around and no one can say thing about it but me. theres a lot more to this that im not adding, mostly because theres less proof but i still know it to be true.

im tired of adults being weird and nasty in this community. i know im an adult too but at least im not gross.

😥 What’s something you’ve been wanting to RP with your muse?

lots of my characters I want rp certain things. Manikin I still want to develop him. Rinous is also something I wanna do. at least something to give her a friend or a love interest that’s the opposite of her. Rin acts tough to try and hide her emotions since she still can’t let go the loss of her original mate. if she had someone else to have a crush on, it could slowly put her back in a calming state. possibly make her quit becoming a hitman to not put herself in danger. but would still act like a hard-ass to protect her girlfriend uwu;;;;

Cilrus is still another I want to do but more so having the interactions go along with the story I’m still brewing up with her. I know how the whole thing is supposed to go with her. and I will tell you, she’s gonna go through hell because I am THE MUN .w.

what else, what else... oh! Calrin! Kalikn, Jaxnyi, Neonce, just... lots of my trolls I want to do stuff with. take some time but more so just wanting Jaxnyi to having the dorkiest, one braincell, girlfriend that she would LOVE to death but will still act serious and WILL join a fight with them because she loves them uwu;;;

and Neonce, just having someone to make her be at ease. there’s a reason why I gave her speech stuttering because when she panics/is nervous, she stutters a whole lot more that it’s hard for her to control. BUT when she’s with a close friend/lover, she stutters less and often times doesn’t sound like she’s stuttering at all because she’s comfortable with the person she got to know over time. and to help her self esteem since she thinks of herself as a burden due to her being blind ;u;

there’s lots more but these are the main ones I want to do

🔥 What’s something you love about your community?

I don’t know! I guess just seeing so many characters and seeing each design. some are simple and some are inspiring to the point you can’t help but look at the character for so long. I guess it’s just people’s art and their characters!

they are all never the same and it’s very rare you see one character having one detail that’s the same from another character owned by another person. I love seeing fantrolls. even ones inspired from video games/shows/movies/animes! those always get me smiling if it’s one that I know and I spot it STRAIGHT AWAY or the mention of it

part of way I have a good amount of characters inspired by the things I have watched/played uwu

that shit is awesome to see! ya’ll keep doing your stuff! and fueling my liking of all your characters .w.

Do you have any tips for making a trollsona?especially with the naming? I have one name for mine but the other elludes me. Isthey is superb, in both name and design and I want your advice if you're willing to give it?

OKAY so this ended up being a super long scramble so I’ll give it a cut!

sure thing! I’ve actually always wanted to share my naming process of my fantrolls! I usually take a word (most often an english word) and butcher it! you’d be surprised how little people actually notice. sure it’s fun to give everyone Secret Meaning names but its not something that ever made me personally endeared and I dont like spending 5 hrs in google translate.So names like Isthey Lowkey = This character is someone who uses they/them and is very shy a.k.a they are lowkey!Smalbu Knowin = Small but knowing! Knowing is a word that can be shortened really simply so I just combined the first two words. She is inspired by the small but knowing clown and I wanted to keep it simple!Jekyll Toosho = Like Dr Jekyll (which is already 6 letters) and Toosho is a shortening of the phrase goodie Two Shoes. They’re a grounded person who sticks to the rules!and Heidei Nemsis = Similar to the name of Mr Hyde! I just kind of lengthened it. And their second name is a word scramble of the word Nemesis because they are Doing Big Crimes. I always keep it very simple! And keeping the words as English in route means a lot of my followers will also have no trouble seeing how theyre pronounced.

As for Designing! I think its always most important to have the Sign of the troll and their Blood Colour before you start working! The sign always plays a huge role for me when Im doing designs and its a big help!

im just using isthey bc they are the most prominent example of the sign looking a lot like the character! if your sign is round make them round if your sign is spikey give them lots of edges! its a good rule of thumb!

Also! Complimentary colours! So good for character design in general but they really bring a character design together!

I’m always very fond of the blue to yellow colours but for isthey I gave them a green belt because it is the opposite colour on the colour wheel to the rust red I was using! When the colour changes like that and is integrated well it makes the design pop and gives it the whole Main Character effect.

I think those are my biggest notes! Sorry this is so long but yeah! If you want I did do an ask meme for a while where I designed trolls after peoples blogs and put design notes in the tags! It’ll be a hard find though because tumblr junked up my search system. Thanks for sending this in but sorry for the huge ass reply.

You slowly wake up, murmurs of voices stirring you awake. As soon as you gain consciousness, you are undoubtedly aware of the ropes around you, bounding you to one place, and in an unfamiliar environment that you have no recollection of being there in the first place. The voices around you continues to talk amongst themselves, your captives unaware that you have woken. So, you take action, unleashing a powerful wave of psionic — the rope around you breaks, creating rings of psionic infused halo, and out from your Strife Deck, hundreds of pages from your broken book floats with pisonic glow around you. With the element of surprise, you prepare to attack, but as soon as you lay eyes at your enemies, you freeze staring at the frighten and surprised gray eyes of children.

“Children?” You wonder out loud and look at them with spectating eyes.

Ahh This was such a fun ask and I didn’t wanted to rush it and spend some time thinking about it, but then I got busy with life and yeaaaahh… I’m sorry for answering this late and thank you for this really fun question!

So, going a bit more in depth of this (because I tend to overthink), I thought of a reason why my fantrolls would end up in the beta trolls’ session. Thinking in game meta, I thought perhaps my fantrolls could act like an assistance for the beta trolls throughout the game. They’re like DLC characters, providing the game extra contents, like characters interactions, dialogues, informations, or whatever that the players could use. However, unlike the sprites and the consorts, assistances knowledge about the game itself is nil, like the player character, until they learn about the game. When an assistance is not in a party with a player character, they would be doing their own things and pursuing their own interests within the game.

Auliit is the typical run-in-the-mill hired arms that would assist the beta trolls with their quests on their planet and because Auliit supposed class is a knight, he could help Karkat and Kanaya with the frogs. When he is not interacting with the beta trolls, he would be out adventuring what he can, talking to the consorts, gathering grists and scouting areas to later give to players when he run into them, and . In reality, he’s trying to busy himself from grieving over his lost loved ones that he hold dearly.

Not once, has he thought of completing a main quest that a player is suppose to finish. An assistance is a branch of NPC and therefore cannot be a player character.

On the other hand, Japhos will most likely take the back seat. It would be easy for me if I just change his age to match the beta trolls’ age, but for this scenario, I didn’t. I want to know how the beta trolls would react to an adult. I think the beta trolls would definitely be scared but once the beta trolls understand that Japhos will not hurt the kids and the adult understands that the world they knew it is gone, Japhos will try his best to give cultural information about their race and what it is like to be an adult troll. Japhos is an assistance to a well established businesstroll so his knowledge about the trollkind, from lowblood to highblood, would be significant and hopefully be passed down in their new world.

When Japhos isn’t teaching the beta trolls about their culture in depth, he will act like an innkeeper. He’ll have a safe space for the kids to rest up and, most importantly, give the kids good meals. Culture is best introduced through food, after all. He will cook up food with whatever ingredients he can find and message the kids to come eat. Just before the beta trolls’ final boss fight, Japhos would prepare a feast for all the kids can enjoy together.

Gyonge is my last fantroll… and well, all good things must come to an end, especially when it comes to doomed timelines. Like how the Guardians dies in the beta kids’ session, well, I was thinking that assistance also has an expiring date. Once they have done their assigned work, the assistants will meet their end. And for this particular scenario , Auliit and Japhos will meet their end by Gyonge’s hand who has gone rouge and wanted to off all assistance characters because their existence means nothing… and murder is pretty fun in Gyonge’s opinion, especially when testing his skill against an adult.

Alright, let me put a few points of stuff I’ve seen on the tags to rest here.

1) Jades Are A Rare Caste.

They are implied to be less plentiful than other castes, yeah, I believe Seadwellers are also rare? But here’s the thing- We have six Jades. When someone says “There’s twice as many Jades as we have Rusts or Bronzes”, it sounds like, shit, yeah weren’t they supposed to be less abundant? Except. They’re still, in total, just Six. Alternia is a planet. Lore-wise, they may be a less plentiful Caste, but they’re not even... In the double digits. This is not even the population of a neighborhood, Xefros’ suburban area likely had more Trolls in total than there are Trolls in this Troll Call, and besides it’s likely all Jades are in the same place for some reason- Jadeblood School is the biggest headcanon right now, for example, so... Why wouldn’t you have a bunch of Jades there?

2) Jades Are All Female.

This is a straight-up misconception, yeah they’re mostly girls, but canon still leaves room for Jadeblood boys. So Male Jadeblood? Yeah, can happen, and there’s nothing going against the canon here.

3) Trolls Have No Concept Of Gender.

This one is honestly baffling to me because I haven’t heard about this until the discourse today. I am assuming this comes from the fact Troll Reproduction doesn’t care who provides the genetic material? Their reproduction is not tied to gender, which has made people assume Troll junk is the same for both guys and gals. Except... That’s about it. Even though it’s silly because they’re bugs and implied to be hermaphroditic, they still show sexual dimorphism. And even if they didn’t, they still have a concept of Gender, merely based on the fact there’s Troll Boys and Troll Girls? He/She divide? With Hiveswap expanding on it and showing us there are, indeed, NB Trolls that prefer They/Them. This Gender Divide is actually talked about by Porrim, who also implies that while Fuchsia-down Alternia seemed a Matriarchy, Purple-down it was actually a Patriarchy, informing us that not ONLY is there sexual dimorphism, but also, a cultural divide. By saying that Lanque can’t be Trans because Trolls have no concept of Gender, you’re either mistaking headcanons for actual canon... Or being transphobic by equating genitalia to gender. In which case, fuck off.

4) Trolls Don’t Care About Fashion.

This is something Karkat says, and I believe Kanaya also implies she cares about it more than it’s usual? But Fashion in Troll Culture, seems to be exactly like Mail. Karkat mentions there’s no Mail they do not get a Mailbox with a Flag, yet we see Xefros get mail! Except it’s not Mail. It’s parachuted delivery straight from a website. There’s no standarized Mail system on Alternia, but that doesn’t mean companies can’t deliver things themselves, directly to their Hives. Similarly, Trolls have no concept of Fashion- They don’t care about things such as trends, variety, being dressed properly. And... Hiveswap doesn’t break this. They have more colorful clothes, and some look pretty good! But. Look at Cirava. They’re an absolute fashion disaster. Diemen is just dressed like a hot dog. The Jades all seem to wear uniforms of some sort. Fozzer and Marsti, Skylla, they are more akin to work clothes. The Soleil Twins and Marvus are more flashy, because they’re likely part of a spectacle. Most of them are either a sort of uniform or outfit that’ll fit whatever they’re doing, or a basic color with their symbol somewhere. And you can go from Bright Pink Bathrobe Stelsa, to Pirate-Clad Remele, and back to Punk Denim Elwurd. Not being Fashionable can be about trends, they may simply dress however they want, because of their interests, or their jobs.

But let’s think about this another way. Let’s say that, yeah, they did retcon Troll Fashion- Would... Would you really be mad if they retconned Troll Fashion. Like... Would you be happier if every Troll shown was wearing a plain black shirt with their Symbol, and pants or a skirt, with slight variations of a jacket or a tank top. I don’t think there’s a single Hiveswap design I dislike, and they’re all visibly varied and easily recognizable, and tell a lot about the character, which is like. Character Design 101? So I honestly don’t know what the complaint here is exactly, except Canon Purity.

5) Hiveswap Ruined Fantroll Variety

How. First of all, the entire previous point. Just, expanding upon basic Troll Clothes, showing us the extent of how Trolls dress. But also like... What did they limit exactly? We’re going to learn more about Trolls and Troll Culture and Biology, of course headcanons are going to clash with canon, but so far, what have they limited? I’ve heard about Horns, but like... These horns have all been so varied, and sure there’s stuff like hooks with Ceruleans and Jades, and Four Horns with Golds but... This pattern is also broken, with Azdaja having three, for example. We’ve seen new Psionic colors, we’ve seen stuff like Horn Piercing, we’ve seen Troll Twins, we have seen horns where the orange part starts at different heights than you’d expect and even some of the parts jutting out having their own red-orange-yellow coloration separate of the main shaft of the horn. If anything, until now, there’s always been headcanons for Horns, like, “Oh this is their symbol so it’ll be like this”, or “this is their caste, so, they’ll have big horns”, but no, we have Purples with small horns, we have Bronzes with curly horns downwards, we have a cerulean with super uneven horns, we have a gold with three horns, we have a teal with flat horns, we have rounded horns, we have hotdog horns. I’ve heard people wonder about some Horn Shapes in the prior weeks, about how they didn’t match their restrictive headcanons, and NOW you tell me they’re restrictive? There’s also been complaints about caste roles and stereotypes, and I feel people really forget that Alternia is a Tyranny that forces the inhabitants in roles they are most likely not happy with, specially for the lower castes. Like... Rusts are disposable, and likely to be bound to a life of servitude. Because they’re the lowest of the low, society treats them as such, and there’s stereotypes like Indigos being strong, but that’s not any more restrictive than Psionics being a Gold-only thing, and much like we see Zebede not having Psionics or Elwurd and Mallek having normal eyes to every other cerulean’s messed-up ones... There’s exceptions to the rule everywhere. There have always been.

I’ve also seen complaints about no mutant bloods or things like Albinism and such? And like... The fact they didn’t include it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. We actually got Freckles with Zebede, so it already implies skin conditions are a thing, so Albinism could happen, if anything we have more PROOF that it may be a thing! Complaining about a lack of Limebloods and Violets, too, is just nitpicking, we know there will be Violets eventually, but either we haven’t been shown right now, or they’re just. In the sea. And we’re in the land. And Limes are likely to be a plot point, I’m expecting at least ONE Lime (Fiamet), if not more to show up at some point, and if there’s NO Limebloods I’m sure there will be at least talk OF Limebloods and their whole, you know, extermination, which is a canon thing that happened.

6) The Game’s Representation Is Bad Representation

Listen... Listen. I have friends ecstatic that there’s at LEAST three non-cis characters in Hiveswap (One trans boy, two NBs), without counting the possibility of other characters being Trans (Pretty much anyone could be), or NB (Like, I think about half of the characters don’t have pronouns on their bullet points?), not to mention, further acts with new characters. Hell, even Xefros or Dammek or Joey could be Trans. We. Literally know nothing about these characters, our information is so limited, and yet there’s already people cheering about it and super happy to see representation and I’ve seen one person in the tag encouraged to come out because Lanque is Trans. There’s also at least two Jewish Trolls, plus the possibility of Kanaya being Jewish as well, either her, Rose, or both. And yet, even though they have simply said this, in good faith, respectfully, and trying to add diversity to their roster, and even though we literally know NOTHING of how it’ll be handled yet, you... Bash them for it?

Like, okay. Lanque. The big topic today. He’s not particularly masculine, but as has surely been repeated over and over and over again, not all trans men are masculine, and not all trans people suffer dysphoria. And yeah, it’s true! It would be nice if there was a more masculine trans man! It would be great if there were trans girls! It would be great if there were more diversely coded NB characters! And there may be?? There’s going to be more characters, if not in this Act, in future Acts, and of the ones we’ve seen, many of them could still be NB or Trans. Like... Again. We’ve got three bullet points from each character. Like, I’m sorry you didn’t get a trans character that you could identify better with yet? But that doesn’t mean you have to bash the one we got? When there are people genuinely happy and encouraged about it? You’re not being progressive. You’re being an elitist asshole, if you only accept 100% perfect representation suited to your tastes, and everything else is garbage, or god help me, ‘fetishization’ or ‘disgusting’ (I have heard both on the Tags), like seriously. You’re being the oppressive one. You’re the one making representation harder than it should be.

Oh and if you’re on the OPPOSITE side of the spectrum and simply being Transphobic or saying how all of this is ‘pandering’ to the audience, really I have nothing to say, if you cannot have basic empathy for a group of people finding representation in a game which source material is extremely queer, and have to resort to bashing it down, screw you.

7) WhatPumpkin Are Doing A Bad Job

This is your subjective opinion, and I’d dare to say, a wrong opinion, but let’s not go there for now. WP has suffered a lot of hate for some reason? There have been lies and slander and bashing for absolutely no reason. People hate Cohen for some reason, and have demonized him, when so far what I’ve seen about him is that he’s a pretty chill dude. The writing of Hiveswap wasn’t like, a masterpiece? But it was fun and it got a good bunch of chuckles out of me and made me care for the characters, and even got me a bit scared and sad at some points during the game! It has that Homestuck Spark, and if you say ‘it’s not like Homestuck’, you’re... I’m sorry, you’re just an elitist, or simply don’t like the style anymore? But it carries a very similar charm.

I’ve heard complaints about Hussie not being involved in the project- Which is false, he did write the entire story FIRST THING, and is overseeing the whole project with the rest of the team. There’s also been criticism towards WP ‘failing’ at representation (Before actually seeing the representation apparently, again, we know NOTHING about the game and how it’ll handle stuff so far), and also accusing WP and Cohen specifically of adding representation because of Woke Points and like... WP are Queer as Heck? I don’t know all of them, I don’t even know how many people are working at WP. But they’re not all straight 100% for sure, and I believe they’re not all cis- And even if they ARE all cis, I also doubt a group working on such a Queer game would NOT hear out from Trans friends. What I’m trying to say, is that they haven’t shown at any point disrespect of ignorance regarding the diversity they want to tackle, they’re not doing things out of bad faith, and we haven’t seen how they handle it yet. Even if they didn’t handle it ideally! Does it need to be absolutely perfect, there can be missteps on the way there, god dammit if someone’s trying to better themselves but not quite getting it right you don’t insult them and tear them down! You show them what to do better next time or where they are mistaken, by pessimistically ignoring what they’re trying to do out of spite you’re discouraging good will and being an asshole! Which leads me to my last point for now.

8) They Could Have Told Us We Were Misgendering Lanque

This one is... Really, a bit ridiculous. Okay, let me explain. If someone is Trans and you misgender them accidentally, they’ll tell you quickly and you’ll, hopefully, correct yourself. Obviously. When the Trolls leaked, everyone latched onto Lanque as ‘Butch Lesbian’, and clung to that hope, and now that they were proven wrong, there was salt, at first, and THEN came the talk about Misgendering Lanque. And let me tell you, I think this is very selfish of everyone saying it.

What WP likely thought would happen is that they’d reveal Lanque to be a Trans boy, and people would be like “Oh! Nice, Trans Rep!”. Sure they could’ve told us back then but... Why? Lanque is not. A real person. He’s a fictional character, he’s not going to be offended because you thought he was a butch woman for a few months, in fact the SILHOUETTE alone ALREADY had people clinging to him as a butch woman. If he were a real person? Of course there’d be a quick correction. But he’s. A character. He’s just a god damn character. Who is Trans, out of good faith by a very Queer company, showing us a Trans man, who is a character, and expecting that, like NORMAL PEOPLE, we would not do something like THIS.

When you criticize WP for not telling us Lanque was a Trans Man, all I’m seeing is a shift of blame, not wanting to simply admit you were wrong and jumped to conclusions, and like- Even if there was Fanart or Fanfic of Lanque calling him a woman briefly, shipping him around mistakenly, who cares? You just. Go. “Okay, I’ll change it” or “Whoops haha this was from when we didn’t know he was a Trans boy!” Why the militant hatred? Why the absolute disgust shown today? I can’t understand, I simply cannot understand why your first reaction to “Trans boy Jadeblood” is “WELL I THOUGHT HE WAS A BUTCH LESBIAN!! I WASN’T WRONG BY ASSUMING THIS, WHATPUMPKIN WERE FOR TRYING TO MAKE THEIR GAME MORE DIVERSE”. It’s like... You just. Correct it? You just correct yourself? And yeah you can want more masculine Trans boys, that’s fair! But dismissing what we got, entirely, and insulting it, and getting like THIS, and blaming the team, it just seems.

Narcissistic. It seems narcissistic and extremely self-centered, and perfectionist to the extreme of not wanting anything other than a complete and absolute ideal, that may fit you but may also not fit others.

In conclusion?

People are happy about representation. This isn’t destroying diversity or representation, this is not reducing customization of Fantrolls, this is only building MORE on the already expansive system, and giving us representation and hope for MORE representation in the future, and if you cannot be happy for a genuine, good natured, and honestly, perfectly fine attempt, if you cannot feel empathy for the people who did feel for this representation, if you can only want to find reasons to bash something down and demonize something good and point out how BAD and NOT GOOD things are and how MUCH BETTER they could be, then honestly, you’re a deeply unpleasant person.

Give things time. Give people with good intentions chances. Learn to backpedal and learn from mistakes and simply correct yourself when you’re wrong instead of going down a hateful spiral. Learn to separate fiction and reality. Just like... Think, for a moment, when you’re writing something down- Is it a jaded opinion, or an objective fact? Will it hurt and discourage people who’re genuinely happy or trying to make others happy? Why do more harm than good when there are good intentions paving the way?

I just simply cannot understand the basic lack of critical thought and empathy of some people I have seen today, and hopefully with this I can make my opinion on the whole absurd Discourse that transpired today clear.

I joined this community on June 6, 2013.

That’s as long as this fucking post, which I put under a readmore because I like my mobile users.... even though it may not work for them. Ahaha.... sorry.

It’s been weird how long that’s been. I just started college when I made my blog. I remember getting the idea to start an RP blog when one of my other friends had a Teen Wolf OC blog that I don’t think she has anymore. I asked her a lot of questions about it, and then I talked with one of the FT community members and... well.... yeah.

I like to age up my characters over time, and when I made Wueyah, she was the general age you would make a troll: 6 sweeps. She’s been through so much as a dumb, naive, ignorant teenager just as we all were, and now she’s 11 sweeps and in a few perigeesmonths, she’s going to be 12. Double the age of her creation.

I know I focus on my other trolls but she’ll always be the main shebang on this blog. After all, the blog is wueyahfantai, not lulithenkeli or the like LMAO.

I still remember the times I met some of my closest ever friends on here. I remember meeting one of them because I went to see how she was doing after she got massively overwhelmed by RPs, or another friend because he was feeling really upset and he called me the “big sister of the fantroll community.”

I wonder if I’m really that to other people? I know I try to be kind in this community because we’ve had a lot of drama in the past. Not that I’d be any less compassionate if this were a pure, pristine community. I just wonder if I’ve actually made a huge impact on people by just being there. Not just in this comm, but out in the real world too.

In any case... a lot has changed in five years. I know I’ve grown and matured since then. I know I’ve done a whole lot of outrageously stupid shit in my first year of the community that if I had done it now, I would be called out and driven out the moment someone took note of it. I’m glad I fixed what was wrong.

I know a lot of members of the community who were some of THE most popular members, and now they’re gone off to do other things. It’s like watching your senior friends graduate and you’re just a junior; you get a sense of loss and you hardly knew them personally.

The members of the ft community I’ve been friends with since 2013 who are still here? God, I’ve seen them grow and change themselves; from their art to who they are. If you’re reading this, you’re one of them and I’m so proud of you and I'm so damn glad I got to meet you. Especially those I've met IRL.

I'm glad in the five years I've been here that I've been (almost) nothing but a positive influcence, at least thats what I think based off of the asks I get whenever I reblog those "Anonymously post what you think about me" stuff. I like knowing my dumb art and characters make people happy, and I hope I continue to do so in the far future.

I just draw my two main ocs the main human oc yubi hachida and the main oc troll eff blodd [I think you meant jeff blood. It’s always awkward when the creater gets the name of their own characters wrong.] q he also and the leader of the first group in total are 12 group of 12 trolls q in total jutando [...What? What does this mean?]

I think you should calm it down a bit there.] … yes and a lot of okay I still set the stories of them because each group and a different story because in the story the 12 group received a mysterious message that asks for i in one of their friends’ houses and in each home has a mysterious type of sphere that has been teleported by different universes so far none of the group’s leaders know who sent the message and then the story begins so the n trols have lusus they kind of are cared for in an orphanage and have a troll take care of them until they get big curiosity [The phrase “big curiosity” really cracks me up.] in the universes q one of the groups were sent the universe are different type oq was good and bad the n were the humans q turned players and etc I still solving the story and fixing a little thing in it and it will take a lot [This... didn’t help me understand why there are 144 trolls at all.] ps forgot to make the count by joining the troll alfha beta and ancerstors in total ocs troll of the 432 yes and a lot of what I have to do q q but fun [I mean, you don’t have to alpha trolls if the session isn’t going to be scratched.]

So basically, he’s a mutant that leads his session during the game, he has a bad attitude and swears, and is apparently a blood player. Sound familiar? [I Can’t Believe It’s Not Karkat!]

The only difference is that this one smiles. Sometimes.

it’s already bad enough that he’s the mutant not-karkat leader of his session, but it gets worse.

aahhh I finished and this drawing took time I made a drawing of my normal and corrupted jeff blood [Please don’t be split personality please don’t be split personality.] and a curiosity about it his ancerstor got a curse when he was fighting with someone, and that curse leaves the person corrupted and attacks anyone who is in front even if he is friend or enemy [But... why?], this curse doubles the strength velicity and etc, so it is difficult to fight and the curse and passed by his descendants, and jeff has but also it lasts little and to know when is about to become corrupted looking at the finger of the left arm and because of this curse jeff ja hurt and almost killed his friends more n he had a little conscience, but some trolls have already lost their eyes arms and wings legs because of jeff, but one day his friend put a chipp uncle in the jeff to know when it is going to be corrupted, and she delivered some kind of watch that goes whistle when it happens and when it happens, jeff is locked inside a room that only comes out when it returns to normal. [So... i think what this is trying to say is a friend installed a chip or something on him that informs her of when he’s gonna flip out, and before he turns she just, shuts him in a room.] and well that and a bit about it and wrote a lot there and also sorry if I have repeated more than once his name

[Rules broken: It’s really confusing trying to read through his bio, although it seems as though english is not the author’s first language. It’s also kind of hard to figure out what sort of personality he has. All i really know about him is he has some sort of corruption thing going on and he’s a knock off karkat.

What if instead of this “corruption” thing, he goes grimdark in the session? Maybe being a leader was too much for him to handle, someone dies under his watch, and he turns grimdark?]
