Third Sonic movie gearing up to film scenes without actors this Summer as Hollywood strikes continue
"Sources say Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is gearing up to shoot scenes not involving actors from September," said a British industry publication in a report on Tuesday, as the Hollywood strikes thwarts production across the globe.
The labour disputes continue to impact the filming industry in the United Kingdom, with principal filming for Sonic 3 scheduled to begin there this summer.
As it stands, crew members not affiliated to the affected unions, namely the WGA and SAG-ACTRA, will be called to record scenes that involve computer-generated imagery or scenic environments.
The modified plan was meant to ensure a deadline for production in an event of a potential resolution between the studios and the unions.
