Sonia and Komaeda getting along well enough to room together is so good honestly. Even if its mostly bc she takes no shit, Komaeda was still like the only person to stand up for her when Teruteru was trying to get frisky about her naiveté in the prologue/ch1.
I kind of suspect she was acting more unknowing than she really was then, to suit her role as a princess, but he had no way of knowing that then. Plus, if she was aware then, it might be easier for her to recognize the side of him that isn't all hope n murder? Since outside of the killing game he's pretty polite (if self effacing) and generally not down for creepy behavior.
If you've got any more thoughts on these two's interactions postgame, I'd love to hear.
I dont think it's perfect by any means (nothing on the ship is!) but its proooobably the best quick-solution scenario?

I've finally finished my Danganronpa AU personal project! I personally call it
DANGANRONPA: DEMIX
And yeah, all the swaps as you can see above, and these guys in the middle are the replacements for Monokuma and Usami respectively:

Finally finished my personal AU project. I hope it's to everyone's liking!
I can go on forever about these designs but I'll limit myself to one-two sentences on some facts about the designs.
Mikan: Mikan's face tattoo was commissioned on her against her will so that she can never hide her nature as a Yakuza, but her leg tattoo was done on purpose, and she and Nagito have matching tattoos on their legs, his is just hidden most the time.
Nagito: He is usually seen with a spear and prefers the weapon over the sword, but he is more famous for his natural skill with the blade. That said, he resents the blade and wishes he could be recognized for the things he actually works hard to do, like throwing spears or protecting Mikan and her family.
Ibuki: I kept her design very similar to her base design because she pretty much just looks like a student, and I don't want to change anyone's personality so there's no reason for her to not get highlights. But I gave her some more symmetry in this design and gave her a cute little semi ahoge I guess with a hair tie, bc she doesn't naturally have one.
Imposter/Gamemaster: Yeah I made the big brain choice to keep him with his colors as "Byakuya" because it made for a more striking visual, and more recognizeable as the impostor. Also I made him too tall because I wanted to give him big legs lol.
Hiyoko: Her four cats are named Heart (scraggly cat), Mr. Pearls (sleepy cat), Big Red (Giant cat), and BB (black cat) bc canonically the four dark devas are named after shonen manga, I named her cats after pokemon games, which she canonically likes playing. Also chickens are her favorite animal, despite her love of cats.
Kazuichi: Kazuichi's not a natural born prince, through shenanigans it turns out he's extremely distantly related to some royal line in a microstate north of germany called "Nordsumpf." Their main exports are cars and Kazuichi is still new to being a prince.
"Kyoko": She'd try her best to act like Kyoko, but she's a little too meek and openy affectionate to pull it off properly. Also her knockers are way bigger than Kyoko's, so there's an immediate discrepancy to the trained eye.
Also in my au of DR1, Kyoko is the ultimate affluent progeny and Makoto is author/serial killer.
Hajime: His hair is actually extremely long back there, he just keeps it tied up. On shows he lets it all out and a wears red contacts, his stage name is "Izuru."
Sonia: Sonia became a team manager because she was escaping an assasination attempt, strolled into a junior laegue soccer game, took over for the coach and started just barking orders and the team won. They were the worst team in the whole league and after that she just sorta stuck around them and won them the championships.
Gundham: Gundham was orginally meant to wear the japanese flag… but there was too much white in his design so I cut it. He has names for all of his gymnast moves and he announces them very loudly when he does any of them.
Peko: I tried to give Peko a unique sort of "zombie survivor" kinda vibe so while she's clearly a mechanic first she can also just fucking kill you by braining you with that monkey wrench. Most of the time she's cool though, she's just like horribly dependent on other people to tell her what to do, so she attaches to Kazuichi because he's the most immediately available authority figure.
Fuyuhiko: He's got that sort of machismo that makes him not like to admit he loves dancing, but the moment he's complimented on it he'll really appreciate it. Also he's still part of a crime family, but it's just not as strong as Mikan's.
Akane: She really looks sporty still, but don't worry she's definitely "lucky," she's just much more focused on the future than her bad luck in the moment… which can be very bad, actually, and can make her come across as kind of aloof.
Nekomaru: Why is nurse Nekomaru not as common a thing. Just think about it, it's perfect. Nekomaru here got inspired by the bravery and hard work of the nurses that treated him and boom he became a nurse, nobody tougher than healthcare professionals after all.
Mahiru: Mahiru as a nurse is honestly a really really really fun concept but I feel like I wasn't very ambitious here, and I can't really show it through the drawing but one of my early drafts had her look more like a european chef a la gordon ramsey bc I headcanon her as a scot.
Teruteru: Decided to give him a raincoat which my sister pointed out to me could also be a trenchcoat, which is just PERFECT for a creep like him. It just writes itself man, though seriously he's mostly a landscape photographer who specializes in pics of the countryside. Still a huge perv tho.
Usowa: Name is a combo of Usagi and Chowa, the word for Harmony. She's less like a chaotic force of nature like Monokuma and more a manipulative and hardline teacher who coaxes the students into doing awful things by playing into their insecuritoies with motives, and which then causes them to kill, allowing her to punish them, "weeding out the weak and undisciplined among their ranks." She replaces Monokuma.
Kyojuma: Name is a combo of Kyoju (professor) and Kuma. He's a pretty silly guy with an easy temper to poke at, but he's good at heart and tries his best to be a more sort of "fun" teacher than the rules lawyer Usami kinda was. He just wants to help his students, too bad Usowa showed up and decidedly does NOT like his approach.

I don't have many ideas atm, the Sonia and Leon one was pretty much how I see a lot of them going lmao. But! I'll entertain you with impromptu ideas lol.
Naomi isn't the one for knocking people out, she generally tries to be more friendly and ease her alt( whether it's an oc, Gloria, or an actual alternate version of herself that doesn't have to deal with all the stuff she went through) in. Carol can just as easily do this, but if they get annoyed or the alt isn't cooperating ( if this is an alternate version of themself, then that would definitely happen), they would just. Momentarily stop their soul from working to get them to a place/ person who can better deal with the alt. Again, Carol is very good at talking,but they're also not the easiest person to befriend.
Jude would choose violence cause they can't be bothered lmao. Especially towards a Serena/Calem, they literally do not give a shit. Dante is nicer, but mostly for the sake of balancing Jude out. He, too, can be a bit...snippy, though he carries himself gracefully. The sand with Ames, though tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if she would try to just. Push the alt into an ultra wormhole and hope that they get home safely. Like it would be very dumb and very bad for her to do so, but modern problems require modern solutions ( Rotom Dex and Poppy stop her before she does anything too stupid, thankfully).
Alexis would be....too fucking tired man. He'll help, obviously, but he gives off the air that he rather not. Believe it or not Elliot wouldn't choose violence unless the alts choose violence first, partly because she wants everyone to be at ease, and partly because she's making sure they don't become Eva's lab rats/j ( I kid, Eva isn't like that. But she IS curious about the alts world and who they are as people! She tends to come off strong though).
In terms of canon characters in the Legendverse, you already saw Sonia and Leon lol. Cheren and Bianca are kinda similar, though with Cheren being more of the Sonia in this situation. He's not too morbid, he's a teacher and so that natural urge to help is there, but ah. His bf has a Hoopa that is known to do the type of shit regularly so. He's kinda apathetic to most of it really. Again, this is Cheren, he has a big heart and wants to help in anyway he can. It's like he goes " damn, that's crazy. Anyway, either I knock you out to get you somewhere else confusing, or you can cooperate with us for a bit to figure out how to get you home,". He's very blunt, as you can see. The only real exception to this is if the alt happens to be a child, or someone noticeably younger than him, but I'm just assuming this is like. An alternate version of himself. Bianca is equally as used to this type of nonsense, but she's not as blunt about it.
Aaaaand yeah. That's all I can think of right now. If you want me to come up with something regarding your verse, I can try!

People could say what they wanted about Fuyuhiko; that he was a criminal, a murderer, that he deserved nothing but the worst in life and some days he might agree, but no one could deny that he would defend those he cared about to the death no matter the situation at hand. Luckily, it didn't seem like this time anything more than some minor blood would be spilt, something that there was no avoiding in Fuyu's mind when it came to something like this. Some guy wanted to be a fucking creep? He was going to at the very best be punched, and at the worst? Well, bullets could be rather persuasive in their own way, should it come to that...
Beyond that? It was a job for his sister, and that wasn't a fate he would wish on anyone. That was a lie, he's wished her bloodthirsty wrath upon many of people over the year, and Natsumi is always more than happy to oblige...
Going from annoyed to enraged in just a matter of seconds, the yakuza's teeth grit together as the idol clarified her wishes, his freckles popping out across his cheeks as his face grew red with anger. "What a fucking lowlife." Said with almost palpable disgust, it seemed even a known gang member had standards when it came to how people conducted themselves. "Yeah, I'll take care of 'im. What's this creep look like? And how bad do you want me to hurt 'im? Or...am I just scaring the prick off?" He figured it didn't need to be said that if prompted he would be hurting the guy no matter what she said. It depended on him and how fucking weird he wanted to be about what he was doing to Hana. He may not know her personally, but Kazuichi, Sonia, and Gundham talked about her enough for him to gather that she was special to them. He had no idea what she knew of him though, if anything. Would she even be talking to him if she knew he was a yakuza? Either way, Gundham must be busy if she's not asking him, or she doesn't trust him not to kill the guy, which...yeah, that was fair, all things considered.
"You uh...you do know who I am, right? 'Cause I gotta say, kinda surprised you'd risk being seen with me, with your idol bullshit 'n all..." Being around him could only lead to trouble in the end, no matter who it was... "Besides, don't you have a literal fucking demon for a boyfriend? And a guard dog of a werewolf that follows you around like a fucking puppy? Or are you taking the easy way out and asking me, banking on the hope the guy will know I'm with the yakuza and fuck off so I don't kill him." It...would make sense, Gundham and Kaz were threatening in their own ways, hell even Sonia could get the job done in her own princessy way, but they weren't Fuyuhiko.
Sonia was a princess, she couldn't afford to get into trouble over something like this should things go wrong, and Gundham and Kaz? They were scary, sure, but in a manageable way; a big ass dog wasn't really all that hard to handle especially a scardy cat like Kaz and Gundham was only a goth chuunibyou on the surface who may flash a bit of his powers to get his point across if he needed to, but unless he wanted to out himself as an actual fucking demon on the off chance someone else sees him, his hands were tied.
Fuyu though? People knew who he was, what he had done, what he could do. If this guy was smart, all the yakuza had to do was show his face, say his name, and he'd know just what and who he was messing with. And if he tried to tell anyone about Hana hiring the yakuza to scare him off? That was easily hushed with all his connections, and that was even if anyone believed the guy. He'd have to admit why she would have had to hire the yakuza in the first place. Nothing about it would end well for him no matter how he went about it when it came to the heir.
"If you don't want someone like me to handle this shit, I could always get someone else on it. It'd be discreet, no way to tie it back to me or my clan, no danger for you or your job."

Gym Leader Raihan for the character bingo
ooh thank you!
uuh yeah I love him! I remember him being a character I had seen and already liked before I played swsh myself lol, I thought he was cute and then I saw a gif of him taking a selfie mid battle with his fangs out and and I was like 😳😳 Oh okay I'm just in love with him now I guess
and then when I played the game myself and actually got to know him, yeah he's really cool! He's a close second for my favorite Gym Leader in swsh and also ever tbh (first is Opal). I like his confidence and chill vibe contrasted with how intense he gets during battle. His Gym itself is a mixed bag because his mission fucking sucks and I can't believe they did him that dirty, but the actual Gym battle itself was fun, it being a double battle and also the emphasis on weather effects made it fun. I love that Raihan has an actual strategy he specializes in too, it's so much cooler and more interesting than him being just another Dragon Gym Leader. I do think the multi weather team he uses in the Champion Cup is pretty stupid tho lmao stick to one weather type babe. Anyway I also like that even though he's competitive with Leon you can tell he still really respects him like he does want to kick Leon's ass but it's not personal at all it's a friendly rivalry, plus Leon really respects him too like even though Leon always beats him he still recognizes Raihan's strength and sees him as a rival and idk it's nice! Idk Raihan is just very cool and likable and his relationships with other characters leaves a lot of room for exploration and headcanons (knowing that he did his Gym Challenge at the same time as Leon, Sonia and Nessa makes me !!!!!!!!!!! I really wish we could have learned more about it in game!! idk maybe I'll write about them some day lmao)
I did highlight the "not enough screen time" square but honestly he gets a fine amount of screen time for a Gym Leader I just would have liked more cause I love him and any time I get to see him is a good time. but I'm kind of a hypcrite I guess because he's not even getting that much more in my fic lmao. The "wasted potential" is mostly about his gym mission ngl

I hate being sick, both because it suck and also because it gives my Pokémon an excuse to dote on me like No, darlings, I'm supposed to be taking care of you and making you meals and tucking you into bed (or in their case their pokeballs) after a nice hot bath or equivalent heating method, not the other way around.
Anyway battle club is tomorrow so I'd better be better by then, I've got shit to do and essays to write and all that fun stuff.
We've decided secret Santa this year already too, my friends from back home and I. I'm so excited to make and buy stuff for it! We won't be meeting up until after the new year due to clashing schedules, but I'm not too upset about that, I get to see most of them while I'm here anyway.
I've already gotten the kiddos gifts (including my brother, though he's only barely still a kiddo). I'm not telling here in case they find my account. I decided to get Sonia smth for the first time in a while too, since we're back in touch.
I'm... Debating whether or not I should get something for Leon this year. I mean, he's gonna be right there on Christmas day this year (if my sources (his mother) are correct), and I'm popping over to give hop his gift anyway, so I may as well???? But like,,, what the fuck do you get a man with enough money to get himself anything???? What am I supposed to buy him that he doesn't already own and that he actually needs or wants? I haven't actually had a convo with him one-on-one since we were kids, I don't know what his interests are now other than Pokémon and terrible, terrible hats. But we spoke back before ei left for paldea and once the awkwardness settled it was just like we were 10 again, and ive really missed having my friend :(((
But yeah no I got nothing. But that's fine! I'll just procrastinate until I have to find something last minute and the miracle of convenience will help me happen upon the perfect thing in the nick of time. That always happens for stuff like this, so it'll be fine.
I've got to figure out what to get my parents, too :/ and my younger cousins, I've got no clue what to get them. My Mons' stuff have all been purchased secretly, none of them know what I'm getting for the others or themselves, so all I need to do is wrap them the day before and we're all good.
Also, the mid-season break of the trainer cup in galar is starting in a few days due to the temp drops lately in galar, so I'll do a big update on the past few weeks once the final battle is through.

this plot decision is... confusing. the main villain sits around twiddling his thumbs while the Black Fang plotline happens. we already know his motives, but he doesn't get to act on them for quite some time because reasons. on the other hand, it's nice to see an FE dad actually accomplish something with his death
...I'll go into how this is handled later. suffice to say I have issues with it but not the usual ones.
a miniboss squad, you say? fun times! anyway, off she goes to do crimes
this becomes 20 times funnier when you consider later revelations about Sonia. that's all I'll say for now.

Almost as soon as the suggestion had left his mouth, Kazuichi had regretted it. He felt like an asshole, some sort of creep with asking something like that. It wasn't like him and Makoto were super close, they were friends sure, but it wasn't like they hung out all the time. They hadn't even hung out one on one, and yet here Kaz was offering to kiss the guy like he had any kind of right. He was supposed to be better than he was that first year at Hope's Peak, this wasn't something that a good person did-
Oh...Makoto...wasn't weirded out? He...actually wanted Kazuichi to show him what a French kiss was? That was...unexpected to say the least, an apology just at the tip of the mechanic's tongue before it was quickly halted by the lucky students apparent excitement to the suggestion.
This was....no, no fucking way this was happening. 'If it’s no trouble' he says. Yeah, Kaz was willing to bet that Makoto had no idea what was going on. That's all this could be, a misunderstanding and nothing more.
"Uh...yeah it's...it's no big deal, but...you do know that it's like...kissing right? W-With um...tongue? I-I'll still show you if you want!" Fuck that sounded way to eager- "Just um...I-I just wanna make sure you know what you're getting into. Promise I'm cool with it if you are, though. You can ask Leon, if you don't believe me, or if you want proof I know what I'm doing." A self satisfied smirk at that despite his nerves, Kazuichi not offering any sort of explanation as to just why Leon would be able to vouch for him. "Or you could ask Fuyuhiko...Gundham...Kokichi, Teru, Hajime, Ibuki, Miu, Sonia, and you can totally ask her about that yourself, 'cause it fucking happened." Was he bragging now? Yeah, yeah he was. Could you really blame him though? Life got so much better once he realized his friends didn't give a damn about kissing him despite none of them actually dating each other at least a few of them he wasn't dating...kinda? Didn't matter, not when he could just grab pretty much any friend when he was bored and wanted...attention.
"Pretty sure Fuyu called me Venom once..." As if to prove the relation, Kaz stuck his tongue out as much as he could, and yeah no argument to be had with that one...

Don't freak when you find my body tomorrow, okay?” Eddie laughs and they both laugh bc they're relived and it's sweet and then they get back to sitting next to one another and they giggle and laugh some more and Eddie sits a bit closer to Richie so he can hold him bc it's cold <3
