This year, the @the_rhs #PlantoftheYear competition looks like a close run event. Here are my picks, but they really are all good #plants and worthy winners. Rosa ‘Elizabeth’ Geranium x cantabrigiense ‘Intense’ Rhododendron ‘Starstyle Pink’ Buddleja davidii ‘Little Ruby’ Geranium pratense ‘Storm Cloud’ I suspect Rosa ‘Elizabeth’ has a nostalgia advantage, but who knows. The Buddleja was surprisingly good and unlike others on the market. Haven’t shown, but I love the giant X Semponium and the Pink Amistad Salvia has got to have a good chance. Short answer, I don’t know, but will be happy with any, yes… any, including the variegated #Forsythia x intermedia ‘Discovery’, which looks like a good plant, even if it is a Forsythia!
