I needed some casserole sized hot pads and I found some perfect fabric panels. The fabric is Forest Whispers by Helen Black. This was my first time quilting and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

I've seen a post going around that says 'if Dungeon Meshi subverts your expectations of anime, you should watch more anime', and as it has in fact been about 15 years since the last of my anime watching days, some ways in which (the) Dungeon Meshi (manga) has subverted my expectations.
They actually find Falin like 3 volumes in! I thought they were going to search for Falin for the whole series. Like, in a way they do, but also, the stakes are changed in an interesting way
The way Kabru is set up as a villain counterpart, and then the realisation that you might be the villain counterpart, to not being a villain actually
Every time a new character group was introduced I got Bleach flashbacks, but the author managed to not lose focus on the main group! Part of the finale did get a bit messy for me, with a big battle, but there was also a smaller more introspective battle to balance it out.

"falin isn't fat in canon (so stop unduly giving this series credit for fat representation in her case)": a very fair point! it *is* honestly a bit concerning that people are so conditioned by media to think stick-thin is the norm that they think medium-sized bodies are fat. and i've seen some very good points about how almost every character we see that has a heavier build is just like that because their race is naturally more stocky, and that almost no characters in this story are "overweight" by their race's standards. so while this story is much better than a lot of others with its body diversity, there are still some things that it could do better.
"falin isn't fat in canon (so stop drawing her fat)": your ignorance astounds me and your foolishness knows no bounds. i could fill libraries with the things you don't know on this subject. every time you bitch about this i give her another roll.

Chaosfay's Fourth Quilt Giveaway
Third goal reached, now it's time for the fourth. This is the largest of the lot, and will have a prize to match: a twin size quilt. The winner will either choose from one of three patterns or choose the theme. The pattern options will include one foundation paper pieced, and the price begins at $6750 USD for one of those, and 250-300 hours from when I cut fabric to finish the handquilting.

Me and the wife's pebble smartwatches both developed spicy pillows (swollen batteries) like 3 days apart ;-;
I'll miss them. So sad that smartwatches have gotten worse in 10 years instead of better.
