There are various cultivars of Sambucus nigra 'Purpurea' (purple leaved elder) but they all have pink coloured flowers instead of the white found on the green leaved plants.

Bananas and Purps are a match made in heaven.
Banana Daddy is an Indica-dominant hybrid that delivers notes of sweet, ripe banana fruit with a subtle earthy base.
This strain tastes delicious and smooth as well, making it a perfect choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the relaxing effects of Sativa without the paranoia or anxiety that can often come with it.

Mini Wandering Jews 🌿🌿 I made different houseplant for Indian traditional decor room. I really like the colour shades of this plant and try to make same colour shades. Tradescantia zebrina (Wandering jews) has attractive zebra-patterned leaves, the upper surface showing purple new growth and green older growth parallel to the central axis, as well as two broad silver-colored stripes on the outer edges, with the lower leaf surface presenting a deep uniform magenta. It is commonly available and used as a houseplant and groundcover, aggressively colonizing new areas when left undisturbed. Thank you @manjiri_pachpore for sharing real pic from your garden 🙂❤️ Source : Wikipedia . . . . . . #mygreentreasure #wanderingjew #houseplants #pinterestindia #gardengala #mydecortherapy #greenplants #miniatureplant #indoorplantsofinstagram #stylingmydollhouse #miniatureplants #papersculpture #tradescantiazebrina #plantsaremagic #dollhousediy #moderndollhouse #purplefoliage #lovelylittleminiatures #plantadecasa #selfwatering #paperplants #indianhomedecorideas #paperarts #homesofinspiration #dailymini #meandminiatures #botanical #plantcollection . . . @dailymini @americanminiaturist @shrunkmagazine @tempuradesign @craftsutra.in @theuncommonbox @pinterestindia (at Nagpur) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQWPA6LDmDA/?utm_medium=tumblr

On a cafe windowsill in the Unorthodox Roasters in Kinross the houseplant Oxalis triangularis subsp. papilionacea (purple leaf false shamrock, purple wood sorrel) was growing. This frost-tender bulbous plant can be kept year-round in a cool conservatory or room producing purple foliage and pale-pink flowers. It requires a moisture retentive but well-drained growing media.

In my friend’s garden Heuchera villosa 'Palace Purple' (alum root) is still producing small pale pink flowers above the smart mounds of metallic bronze-purple leaves. This is a great ground-cover plant especially for the front of a border.

The fine, wiry branches of Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton' (vervain) support a mist of small purplish-pink flowers which contrast well with the dark green-purple leaves. These plants withstand drought well and continue to bloom.

Here a curly kale variety, probably Brassica oleracea (Acephala Group) 'Redbor’ has been used to provide colour and texture to this cottage garden. A great way to integrate edibles with ornamentals in a border.

The vigorous and floriferous herbaceous Geranium 'Gerwat' (geranium Rozanne, hardy geranium, cranesbill) is scrambling through the deciduous shrub Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea (purple Japanese barberry). What a great combination of dependable plants.

The leaves of the herb Salvia officinalis 'Purpurascens' (purple sage) have a great texture and colour for a sunny, well drained border. The foliage of this semi-evergreen small shrub is highly aromatic with purple young leaves which become grey-green as they age.

These purplish-pink catkins and twisted branches help the identification of this plant as Corylus avellana 'Red Majestic' (purple contorted hazel). This is a compact, deciduous shrub or small, semi-weeping tree. The leaves, which will soon be emerging, are dark purple becoming increasingly green as the season progresses.

The plants in front of this wall provided some drama at the garden entrance with their red flowers. They were the Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' and containers of a trailing Begonia.

The deciduous shrub Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla 'Eva' (elder, ‘Black Lace’) has deeply dissected purplish-black foliage from spring to autumn. In the summer this plant has flat umbels of small pinkish flowers and can be followed by purple-black berries. Here this shrub is seen in a container and in a garden border where it looked handsome with a vibrant flowered herbaceous Persicaria cultivar (bistort).
