The young medical student had been called in more for the spectacle than anything.

Despite knowing the boy was not one for gossip, this was just too large a wonder for his coworkers to leave him out of it. The patient had been brought in after a car crash, though they had not been initially involved in it. No, they had been a witness that chose to step in and pull someone from the wreck, stating that the police would not have come in time. And indeed, they had been right-- as they were caught in the explosion that soon followed their intervention. The person they’d pulled from the wreck had been saved from the flying shrapnel-- by the body of the person who pulled them out.

Indeed, the patient was right that the cops would not have come fast enough-- they were also rather calm when stating that for having a giant piece of metal in their back, not to mention conscious enough to say so. They were in pain, clearly, but by all accounts, they should have been dead. They also seemed to want to leave as soon as possible. It was a strange case, indeed.

Kouichi was presented with their file, and what information the patient had given. Adrian Smith-- likely a false name, twenty four, ftm male, healthy aside from a blood-born illness they claimed to have that would require the staff to dress themselves in a bit of personal protection gear. Well, healthy, aside from the section of bumper that was currently jutting out of their upper left rib cage.

The patient was laid out on a table-- pale, cold, and rather nonplussed with the staff buzzing about them. A bit of blood dripped from their lip, seeming to bubble up as they breathed. They seemed more annoyed than anything else.

It was still so unusual, interacting with this world’s new technology. He had seen the advances of the world over the past centuries, only sleeping through a few years of it here and there. And still, despite having watched the advances take place, it still felt as though it were magic. He knew the world would advance beyond anything people of his time would’ve dreamed-- his parents were both people of science. He knew the wonders technology could bring. But that made it no less miraculous to him as he stood in the virtual halls of the white and blue realm called EDEN. 

Adrian wandered about the expanse, largely simply exploring and not headed to any particular place. So it was no wonder when the man ended up stumbling into Kowloon, the sudden shift in feeling apparent even to someone who had never been there before. He tensed, eyes open wide as the feeling grew that he was somewhere he was not supposed to be.

It was rather exciting in all honesty.
