Florida artist Steven Teller uses human figures, animals, and nature to offer a momentary step into a different space. "There is nothing more wondrous than the beauty of the natural world" he says, and his positive representations offer "metaphors of growth." Teller says his 2019 painting of singer/songwriter @dejah.symone for @samflaxorlando was his first time painting with only spray cans. "Just about tripled my speed on this piece, and can't wait to dive deeper into the can game!"

As weird as this is gonna sound, while studying animation, I got really into dabbling with other disciplines to see what I can incorporate into my projects. One of my favs was printmaking. In a weird way, it felt like animation because there was a lot of process work that you can get lost in, and I loved the crap out of it. I haven't touched the stuff in ages, and while I don't have the access to do intaglio or acid etch printing anymore, making a mess carving is just as exciting. I think I'm a bit too rusty to dive back into woodblock printing, so I'll start with lino to warm up. Also, I didn't just randomly buy these. Today, the Schumann frequency hit a peak of 84 hz, and normally it’s at 7.8 hz. I believe if you are feeling drained, headachy, or feeling pressure, this may have something to do with it. ** Grounding is key at this time. However, For me, I take this as a huge download. In two separate transmissions, it inspired me to create this piece, which is a representation of the current planetary alignment. Uranus is in a square to Mars and Mercury all month and we are experiencing a powerful retrograde, coupled with both a solar and lunar eclipse. This is a time to reflect, be introspective, and rethink habits or automatic responses. It’s a time to rest and to heal. This video is in time lapse, as I feel that it properly captivates the time this took to create (approximately three hours not including set up). "THE FLORIDA PANTHER AND WHITE IBIS:  A story of successful land conservation and scientific intervention"

Born in Miami and now living on Florida's Space Coast, Chaya Av creates colorful and free-flowing work heavily influenced by natural organic forms. In addition to creating work for galleries and corporate clients her spontaneous stream-of-consciousness style is well suited to live painting at music festivals across the state. When Chaya was born there was widespread fear that the official state animal, the Florida Panther, would be extinct by 2017. When 2017 actually rolled around and Chaya was given an opportunity to paint this mural at Sam Flax art store on Colonial Dr in Orlando, she highlighted the hard work done to save the panther. Chaya also added the White Ibis, representing the danger and optimism in Native American folklore and as warning that we must continue to value and protect our wildlife.  @chayaav_/  @samflaxorlando/
