‘The Sandman’ Season 2 Episode Titles and Episode Count Revealed
The Sandman Season 2 is set to have 12 episodes, and Netflix may release them as two volumes, with six episodes each. The news comes via a profile update on Independent Talent for director Jamie Childs, who will serve as executive producer for the new season.
Netflix has yet to confirm this, but in recent years, the streamer has released anticipated seasons of TV series in two volumes. Stranger Things received the two-volume treatment, for example.
Then, we have the titles for six episodes of The Sandman Season 2. For those who know the comics, these reveal a good amount of information regarding where the second season is headed.
Here are the episode titles for the second season of The Sandman. We have only six of them so far, and with 12 in total, we think these could be Vol 1.
In no particular order:
The Song of Orpheus, named after the special issue of the same name. Needless to say, this one will focus on Ruairi O’Connor’s Orpheus
More Devils Than Vast Hell Can Hold, referencing the issue A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Brief Lives, named after the issue of the same name
Family Blood, likely referencing “spilling family blood”, something Dream seeks to avoid
The Ruler of Hell, referencing Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer. Or perhaps Hell will have a new ruler? We won’t spoil.
Season of Mists, named after the comic collection of the same name. Previously mentioned Odin, Thor and Loki are most likely to appear in this episode.
The second season of The Sandman still has no official release date, but we’re not expecting a return in 2024. Indeed, it was left out of Netflix’s 2024 slate reveal in February, and 2025 seems to be the most realistic release schedule. Despite that, we’ve already had many casting reveals for season 2 so far, with more to come (more this week, in fact!), and filming is expected to wrap by August 31st, 2024.

Any Robert’s Rebellion era fancast ? The only one I can envision is Olivia Hussey as Lyanna and sometimes Freida Pinto as Elia but my brain always explodes trying to envision young Robert..
I understand the Olivia Hussey persuasion, However I think she’s too much of a classic beauty to be Lyanna. I enjoy the Freida Pinto one but also Charithra Chandran for Elia
Liah O’Prey is my personal Lyanna. Her features are sharp and slightly more androgynous. And she still has a very youthful and innocent face despite her her sharper features. And she’s soooo good in Domina I can see her defending Howland Reeds honor with a stick
Young Robert is notoriously hard I think bc there just aren’t a lot of younger actors who are very physically imposing. Current Henry Cavil is good for an older Robert but I like his younger self too I can see it. I also like Stuart Martin for an older Robert but I don’t have enough space for another just google him
But if HBO was holding a gun to my head and said they needed a young Robert casting for the year of our lord 2024 I would choose Ruairi O’Connor. Not sure how old he is but I like him in the Spanish Princess and he looks like he could play a 21 year old Robert and that works for me
And dare I say Borgias-era Holiday Grainger as younger Cersei? I can never decide whether she looks more Targ or Lan but she definitely pulls off blonde hair so. And I’m not sure who currently could play a Rebellion era Cersei, as I am out of the loop for young up and coming actors, but I’m sure there’s someone I’m forgetting

I've got nothing against happy endings, except when they turn a promising movie into an ordinary one. Something like that happens in John Butler's Handsome Devil, which starts off well, with a deft lightness of tone and some extremely likable performances, especially from Andrew Scott as Mr. Sherry, the Irish high school's new English teacher, and Fionn O’Shea as Ned, the misfit student who hates rugby in a school devoted to it. Naturally, Ned is immediately suspected of being gay, especially by the blustering bear of a rugby coach, Mr. O'Keefe (Moe Dunford). But then Ned is assigned a new roommate, Conor Masters (Nicholas Galitzine), a rugby star who was expelled from his old school for fighting. After a bad start, Ned and Conor find that they're more compatible than they expected. There's a lot of bright, sharp dialogue as the film progresses, but soon you see the turn into familiar territory, as the only way Butler seems to see for his film to end is by turning to conventions out of sports movies, romcoms, and the troubled adolescent subgenre. At the end, everyone involved learns a lesson about prejudice and tolerance, and what was a thoroughly enjoyable movie becomes a vehicle for a message. I didn't feel bad at the end of Handsome Devil, but I did feel cheated.
