En 1961 se lanzaba al mercado el Simca 1000, un modelo utilitario de la firma francesa que había nacido fabricando modelos de Fiat bajo licencia y que desde hacía algunos años contaba con sus propios diseños. A lo largo de sus casi 18 años en producción (desde 1961 hasta 1978) se vendieron alrededor de 2 millones de unidades, lo que significó un éxito notable para la marca.
El desarrollo del Simca 1000 comenzó a finales de los años cincuenta con una estrecha colaboración entre Fiat y Simca, tomando como punto de partida algunas de las soluciones técnicas empleadas en el Fiat/Seat 600. A punto de cambiar de década, Fiat da cerrojazo al proyecto y Simca asume los últimos años de desarrollo del proyecto en solitario, aunque respaldada por el apoyo financiero de Chrysler, el gigante americano que se haría con el control de la compañía francesa y expandiría la producción del Simca 1000 a varios países como Colombia, Chile e incluso los EE.UU. y Canadá. También se produciría en España, como veremos en el siguiente apartado.
El Simca 1000 destacaba por un interior espacioso y bastante cuidado para tratarse de un utilitario, pero sobre todo por una gama muy extensa y variada, lo que supuso algunos problemas en mercados como el español, donde se encarecía mucho su precio de venta para competir con rivales nacionales.
En 1961 España tenía prohibida la entrada del Simca 1000 debido al cierre de las importaciones. Esto dio bastante oxígeno a los modelos de Seat y Renault que, al producirse dentro de nuestras fronteras, no tuvieron que competir en los primeros años con la novedad del Simca 1000.
En 1963 el empresario orensano Eduardo Barreiros cierra el acuerdo con Chrysler para fabricar automóviles en España y se abren las puertas para que el Simca 1000 se produzca en las gigantescas instalaciones inauguradas en Villaverde, Madrid, pero Chrysler da prioridad a otros proyectos desoyendo las peticiones de Barreiros y la producción del utilitario se demora hasta 1965. Cuatro años preciosos perdidos para implantarse en el mercado, lo que hizo que el Simca 1000 naciese con cierta antigüedad ya en España frente a rivales como el R-8 ya plenamente afianzados. El Simca 1000 era un buen rival para su antecesor, el Dauphine-Ondine, pero contra el R8 presentado en 1964 tenía poco que hacer
 Al retraso en su lanzamiento en el mercado se sumaron otros factores como un precio elevado debido a la excesiva variedad de la gama del modelo, de modo que las expectativas planteadas por Chrysler (100.000 unidades anuales) no se cumplieron y las ventas finales se ajustaron mucho más a lo previsto por Barreiros, alrededor de las 35.000 unidades anuales.
Aunque el Simca 1000 era un buen producto para la época, en España era difícil plantar cara a Seat o FASA, ya muy institucionalizadas. Además de alguna traba palaciega, pronto empezaron a surgir chascarrillos y bromas sobre los productos de Barreiros como el «quetearruino-quetearruino» en referencia al ralentí de sus camiones o «el filete del pobre», sobre nombre que se ganó el Simca 1000 porque su publicidad lo denominaba «el 5 plazas con nervio«. A mediados de los años sesenta no había memes, pero el sarcasmo nacional enseguida hizo sangre del slogan del Simca 1000 y lo llamaron el filete del pobre porque era para cinco y encima la carne tenía nervio.
 Pese a que la concepción del Simca 1000 estaba muy condicionada por su disposición mecánica con el motor en la parte trasera, que ya estaba obsoleta en esa época, lo cierto es que el modelo francés era un buen coche, con un comportamiento en carretera mucho mejor que el de modelos de Seat (sobre todo cuando se reemplazó la dirección de tornillo por una de cremallera en 1969), unas mecánicas con mucho brío y unos interiores más cuidados que la media de la época.

Electric Vehicle Market Outlook: World Approaching Demand & Growth Prospect 2020-2027

China is considered as one of the major markets of electric cars along with Europe and U.S. However, lack of infrastructure is anticipated to hinder electric vehicle market growth over the forecast period.
Growing awareness regarding reduction of air pollution is propelling the demand for EVs during the forecast timeframe. EVs produce less carbon emissions as compared to conventional gasoline cars. It is estimated that EVs emit an average of 4,450 pounds of CO2 equivalents every year, which is almost half of the carbon emissions generated by conventional gasoline cars annually. Thus, EVs help in reducing air pollution and improve the air quality, thereby improving public health. This has led various government agencies promote the usage of electric vehicles. For instance, the U.S. Department of Transportation, Great Plains Institute, and Pollution Control Agency are working in tandem to accelerate the adoption of EVs in Minnesota, U.S.

Souveräner Erfolg beim E-Prix in Mexiko-Stadt
25-Jähriger erster deutscher Sieger in der Elektrorennserie

p style=”text-align: justify;”>Lucas di Grassi fährt vom letzten Startplatz auf Rang neun
Daniel Abt vom Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler ist der erste deutsche Sieger der Formel-E-Geschichte. In Mexiko-Stadt machte der 25-Jährige mit einem fehlerfreien Rennen gleichzeitig den ersten Sieg des Audi-Werksteams in der Elektrorennserie perfekt. Teamkollege Lucas di Grassi komplettierte den großen Tag für Audi mit einer Aufholjagd vom letzten Startplatz auf Position neun und der schnellsten Rennrunde.
Riesenjubel im Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez: Vor einer eindrucksvollen Kulisse und rund 500 begeisterten Mitarbeitern von Audi Mexiko sorgten beide Audi-Piloten mit Aufholjagden für Furore und Jubel auf den Tribünen wie bei einem Fußballspiel. Abt ging von Startplatz fünf ins Rennen, machte gleich am Start einen Platz gut und lag zur Halbzeit knapp hinter dem Führenden Oliver Turvey im NIO auf Position zwei. Mit einem perfekten Boxenstopp übernahm Abt die Führung und fuhr den Verfolgern mit seinem Audi e-tron FE04 anschließend auf und davon. Nach 47 Runden hatte der Deutsche einen Vorsprung von 6,398 Sekunden. Das Podium komplettierte Ex-Champion Sébastien Buemi im Renault.
„Was für ein fantastischer Tag – endlich der erste Sieg“, sagte Daniel Abt. „Wir haben harte Zeiten hinter uns, aber nie aufgegeben und hier einen überlegenen Sieg und Platz neun geholt. Ich bin unheimlich stolz auf alle und kann mich bei der ganzen Mannschaft nur bedanken: Beide Autos waren einfach perfekt. Heute Abend wird so richtig gefeiert!“
Titelverteidiger Lucas di Grassi wurde auf den letzten Startplatz zurückversetzt und musste im Rennen zudem eine 5-Sekunden-Strafe beim Boxenstopp absitzen, weil an seinem Audi e-tron FE04 zwischen den Rennen in Santiago de Chile und Mexiko-Stadt der Inverter geöffnet werden musste. Der Brasilianer kämpfte sich Platz um Platz nach vorn und holte mit Platz neun sowie der schnellsten Rennrunde die ersten Punkte der Saison. „Das war ein aufregendes Rennen, das mächtig Spaß gemacht hat“, sagte der Brasilianer. „Glückwunsch an Daniel: toller Job! Er hatte seinen ersten Sieg schon in Hongkong verdient. Wir geben als Team nie auf und unsere Aufholjagd hat heute begonnen.“ „Nach den Problemen, die wir in den ersten Rennen hatten, schmeckt dieser Sieg besonders süß“, sagte Audi-Motorsportchef Dieter Gass. „Wir wussten nicht genau, was uns hier erwarten würde. Nach dem Qualifying waren die Gefühle noch etwas gemischt. Aber das Rennen war von beiden top. Lucas ist super gefahren und für Daniel freue ich mich ganz besonders.“ „Daniel ist ein unglaubliches Rennen gefahren“, sagte Teamchef Allan McNish. „Einfach klasse, wie er überholt und sich dabei in Position gebracht hat. Auch das Rennen von Lucas mit der schnellsten Rennrunde und einer schwierigen Aufholjagd gibt uns unheimlich Auftrieb – nicht nur dem Rennteam, sondern auch den Leuten zu Hause, die zwischen den Rennen sehr hart gearbeitet haben. Glückwunsch an alle!“
Daniel Abt rückte nach seinem ersten Formel-E-Sieg in der Fahrerwertung auf Rang sechs nach vorn. In der Teamwertung belegt das Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler nach fünf von zwölf Rennen nun ebenfalls den sechsten Platz.
Das nächste Rennen der Formel E steht bereits am übernächsten Samstag (17. März) in Punta del Este in Uruguay auf dem Programm.

Balanço da MAHLE-Metal Leve
A Leve divulgou na última quinta-feira dia 14 de novembro os resultados para suas operações no terceiro trimestre de 2019.  Os principais destaque do balanço no período foram: Receita Líquida de vendas total de R$ 645,5 milhões, queda de 9,1%;Aumento de 10,4% nas vendas no Mercado de Equipamentos Original Doméstico.
Resultados Operacionais
No terceiro trimestre de 2019 a receita consolidada da Leve totalizou R$ 645,5 milhões, representando uma queda de 9,1% na comparação anual, o resultado foi impactado pela queda de 10,2% no mercado de Equipamento Original (EO) e de 7% no mercado de Aftermarket No mercado doméstico, que considera os resultados do Brasil e da Argentina, a receita com vendas ao EO apresentou alta de 10,4% totalizando R$ 211,9 milhões.  Nesse mercado houve impacto negativo de -1,5% na variação, contudo, essa variação foi mais do que compensada pelo aumento no volume/preço de 11,9%.  Já no mercado externo o EO apresentou uma queda de 24,6%, houve um impacto positivo da variação de 1,6% no câmbio, porém o resultado foi mais do que compensado pela queda no volume de 26,2%.  Em relação às vendas no mercado de Aftermarket, no terceiro trimestre de 2019 a Leve apresentou queda tanto no mercado doméstico, quanto em suas exportações, que caíram 4,8% e 14% respectivamente.  A receita líquida no mercado doméstico totalizou R$ 176,1 milhões. O resultado foi impactado negativamente pela variação de -7,9% no período que foi parcialmente compensado pelo aumento de 3,1% nos volumes. Enquanto isso, a receita com exportações somou R$ 49,9 milhões, tendo sido impactada pela variação cambial de -5,7% e pela queda de 8,3% no volume/preço. Chile e Paraguai foram os países que apresentaram maior queda nos volumes de exportações.  As exportações consolidadas para a Europa, no acumulado de janeiro a setembro de 209 ficaram em 48,8%, representando um ganho de 1,6 ponto percentual. As exportações para América no Norte, se mantiveram quase estáveis em 35,5% com leve queda de 0,1 p.p.

Gráfico: Exportação consolidada por região geográfica da MAHLE-Metal Leve Já as exportações para América do Sul caíram 3 pontos percentuais, passando de 12,8% nos 9M18 para 9,8% no mesmo período de 2019. Por fim, as exportações para outras regiões cresceram 1,5 p.p. no acumulado de janeiro a setembro, passando de 4,4% nos 9M18 para 5,9% nos 9M19. No terceiro trimestre deste ano o segmento de componentes de motores apresentou uma queda de 8,5% nas vendas, enquanto os segmentos de filtros caíram 14% na comparação com o mesmo período do ano anterior.  O resultado do segmento de filtros foi impactado pelas vendas de ferramental e serviços de pesquisa e desenvolvimento no montante de R$ 3,7 milhões. Desconsiderando este efeito, o resultado seria uma que de 5,6% na mesma base de comparação. Além disso, a Leve não exportou esse produto no período, por isso não houve impacto da variação cambial nos resultados.

Gráfico: Receita líquida por produto da MAHLE-Metal Leve Ao final do terceiro trimestre o resultado bruto das operações da Leve totalizou R$ 178,3 milhões, uma queda de 9,9% na comparação anual. Adicionalmente, a Margem Bruta da Companhia ficou em 27,6%, representando queda frente à margem de 30,5% reportada no mesmo período do ano anterior.  Os custos de vendas no trimestre ficaram em R$ 467,2 milhões, o que representa uma variação negativa de 9,1% na comparação anual.  Paralelamente as despesas com vendas no terceiro trimestre de 2019 caíram 17,3% enquanto as despesas gerais e administrativas recuaram 18,9% na comparação com o mesmo período do ano anterior.  Já as despesas com desenvolvimento de tecnologia de novos períodos somaram R$ 19,1 milhões no 3T19, representando uma queda de 5% frente ao mesmo período de 2018. Nesse cenário, o resultado operacional da Leve, medido pelo Ebitda ficou em R$ 129,1 milhões no 3T19, representando queda frente ao Ebitda de R$ 148,7 milhões observado no mesmo período de 2018.  A Margem Ebitda, por sua vez, ficou em 20,9% no 3T19, representando uma queda de 0,9 ponto percentual frente ao valor apurado no 3T18 (20,9%).
Resultados Financeiros
No terceiro trimestre de 2019 o resultado financeiro da MAHLE-Metal Leve foi uma despesa líquida de R$ 10,5% milhões, representando uma variação negativa de R$ 2,8 milhões frente a despesa líquida de R$ 7,7 milhões apresentada no mesmo período do ano passado.  Já o Lucro Líquido do período ficou em R$ 69,2 milhões, representando uma redução de 24,9% frente ao mesmo período do ano passado.  Adicionalmente, a margem líquida no 3T19 foi de 10,7%, o que representando uma queda de 2,3 pontos percentuais frente à margem líquida de 13,0% apurada no 3T18.

O terceiro trimestre de 2019 trouxe resultados não tão positivos para a MAHLE-Metal Leve. O resultado foi bastante impactado pelo cenário adverso na Argentina, de onde vem grande das receitas da Companhia.  Além disso as quedas nas exportações também tiveram impactos negativos no trimestre. No terceiro trimestre do ano passado o mercado externo representava 38,8% das vendas para o mercado EO, já no 3T19 a participação foi de 32,2% A queda, no entanto, foi parcialmente compensada pelo aumento da participação do Brasil no mercado EO que passou de 27% no 3T18 para 32,8% no terceiro trimestre deste ano.  A receita da Leve no terceiro trimestre de 2019 foi R$ 645,5 milhões, representando uma queda de 9,1%.  Para tentar compensar esse resultado a Companhia anunciou esforços para diminuir as suas despesas, nesse cenário, as despesas gerais e administrativas caíram 17,8% na comparação anual, o que ajudou a amenizar o resultado final.  Enquanto isso, o Ebitda, que representa a capacidade de geração de caixa operacional da economia, ficou em R$ 129,1 milhões, representando queda frente ao valor de R$ 148,7 milhões reportados no mesmo período do ano anterior.  Finalmente o lucro líquido da empresa atingiu R$ 69,2 milhões, o que representa uma queda de 24,9% frente ao mesmo período do ano passado, quando o lucro líquido foi de R$ R$ 92,2 milhões.

Mesmo com a queda, no entanto, a margem da companhia se mantém a níveis interessantes, sobretudo considerando o setor de competição mais acirrada no qual companhia opera, o que exige maiores gastos para melhorar a qualidade do produto gerando uma margem menor.  Vale lembrar que a MAHLE-Metal Leve anunciou o pagamento de Juros sobre Capital Próprio no montante de R$ 70 milhões referente ao período compreendido entre o dia primeiro de janeiro de 2019 e o dia 31 de outubro.  O valor bruto do pagamento será 0,5455 por ação e valor líquido será de R$ 0,4637. Terão direito aos proventos os acionistas posicionados nas ações LEVE3 até o dia 21 de novembro de 2019. O Pagamento será realizado no 20 de dezembro do mesmo ano.
