#Quarantine got me like WTF

I'm supposed to be doing homework but also,
isn't it interesting that there's Jojo's LinkedUniverse and then also the LinkedUniverse fandom's LinkedUniverse? That LU became a conduit through which to examine and compare and contrast Zelda games with this cast of characters as a base? That was their original intention and the fans went "heck yeah!" and ran with it? The LinkedUniverse fandom's LinkedUniverse is a monster of the week story where everyone contributes, it has hundreds of authors and storytellers all working together and trading tales. It's a scenario in which Jojo's LinkedUniverse is both the source material and also just one instance in the larger weave. And the LinkedUniverse fandom's LinkedUniverse lore deviates from (and is much deeper than imo) that of the original comic mainly because of that 1 person building a thing vs hundreds of people building a thing. And isn't that so cool?
But then also with the decline of the fandom I dunno I feel like the LinkedUniverse fandom's LinkedUniverse has been dying. Updates would spawn a burst of creativity and multitudes of branching ideas and what-if scenarios explored through art and fic and discussion, building on it, adding it in to pre-existing stories. I feel that activity around updates has been ticking more towards exploring the comic within the context of the comic itself, and less within the fandom's takes on it (not taking that step forward of "yes, and," and "yes-anding" fanworks as well.) Or not updates in particular, but the state of the fandom is deviating from taking this base and running and sharing to something more controlled and wary? Isolated?
The LinkedUniverse fandom is a phenomenon to me. And it's not something I think should be replicated in regards to other LinkVerse comics but it's also something beautiful and creative? Like, Jojo to a certain extent has or had lost control of the fandom's versions of these characters. She made them and we respect her wishes for them but they no longer belong to her?
The LU fandom's LU is a collectively written LinkVerse and exploration of the loz games, using these characters and relationships as a base (which is why I think people mistag by accident so much.) Sure, you could use the characters directly from the games or make your own LinkVerse to explore the relationships between the loz games. However, within the context of the LU fandom, you get the advantage of the template already being there for the character's personalities, meeting, secrets, and an open ended goal, and these things are understood by a large number of invested people, leading to this huge collaborative project.
This is what's so special about the LinkedUniverse fandom to me. Watching this thing be built and getting to be a contributing piece of it. Maybe it shouldn't have happened. Like, if something like that were to happen to anything I've made I think that'd be really scary. But it's also something incredible?
It's why I have a hard time accepting it when people say they hate the LU fandom. How could you hate the creativity? The shared stories? What's been made? Isn't it incredible? It's another LinkVerse, in a way, one that belongs to many. I hate the instances where people have tried to police the way the characters are written, both within the fandom and towards Jojo's comic, and the issues in communication, and callout posts asjhfksdf Problems in reconciling the LU fandom's LU, Jojo's LU, other LinkVerses, and gen loz. But the phenomenon of the fandom itself, the shared collaborative LU fandom's LinkedUniverse? I think it's such a cool thing. I think it's such a cool way to explore and examine the loz games and craft stories with so many other people.
I really enjoy all the LinkVerses that are around now. I don't think the fandom for LU is something that can be replicated. (or should?) (it's both something odd and a loss of control for Jojo but also a conduit for an incredible amount of creativity and community.)
It's really interesting to me. It's really interesting to witness. Or to have witnessed?

Please please please make sure you stay hydrated above all else! Obviously I don't know your medical history, but the best general advice is to not get dehydrated. Your body needs fluids to fight the good battle. second, I love YOU and I know this isn't much and it's not that great b/c I threw it together in fifteen minutes but I hope it makes you feel a little better, my love💜]

“Baby girl, I need you to sit up for me.” Joel hummed.
You were buried in the thick comforter of his bed feeling absolutely miserable. The cold had come on suddenly. A small cough, more irritating than anything else, spiraled into full body aches, a splitting migraine, and congestion so bad that it felt like your head was filled with concrete. Joel’s heavy hand brushed aside the hair matted to your forehead with dried sweat. Your fever was lingering last Joel checked, but the Nyquil he forced you to take with a bottle of water earlier was helping some.
Joel murmured your name once more and you just moaned in response. You felt the bed dip with his weight and his hand dragged up and down your back. The motion brought with it a comfort on par with medication itself.
“You think you can eat somethin', sugar?” Joel asked.
“Maybe later.” You mumbled. “Sleepy.”
“That’s probably the Nyquil.” Joel replied. “I sent Riley to pick up some stuff from the store.”
You felt Joel lean over and his lips brushed against your temple. You shook your head, “You’re gonna get sick. I should quarantine alone.” You buried yourself deeper into his bed. With your nose stuffed like it was, you couldn’t smell his sheets and that bothered you more than it probably should’ve. “Don’t you have that meeting today too?”
“If you think I’m leavin' you like this, sugar, then that fever’s got you delusional.” Joel snorted. You felt the covers you had bundled yourself in begin to untangle and a whine that could only be described as pathetic slipped your lips. Before you knew it though, Joel was under the thick comforter with you and you felt yourself get pulled into his warm chest. “C’mon, baby girl. Sleep it off.”
You snuggled closer into his grip and focused on the random patterns he was rubbing on your shoulder with his hand. As a human, this was obviously not the first time you had gotten sick, but something about this time felt different. With Joel’s thick arms wrapped around you it dawned on you that it was him. The last time you were sick you were forced to take care of yourself and work through it. Having your sugar daddy around made you needy as all hell it seemed, but the comfort Joel immediately showed you had you melting against his chest.
“When I wake up, can I have soup?” You blurted the words out, half asleep.
Before sleep took you completely, you heard Joel’s deep chuckle, felt it rumble against you, “Sugar, you can have anythin' you want.”
When you woke up, you did feel marginally better. Joel was no longer in bed with you and you slowly sat up to rub at your face. You craved a hot shower to wash off the sweat and open your sinuses a bit more. A groan left your lips, still feeling crummy, and you began to climb out of bed.
“Whoa, whoa, pump the brakes.” Joel called out. He came into the room holding a tray and you chuckled at the sight of him. He set the tray down on the nightstand to usher you back into bed. “Where do you think you’re goin'?”
You gave him a tired smile, “Shower. I feel icky.”
“Icky?” Joel asked and you nodded. He chuckled and leaned forward to press his lips on your forehead again. He sat back and rubbed a hand against your leg. “Think you can stomach somethin' first?” You nodded again and Joel grabbed the tray. It looked like a bowl of chicken noodle soup, but not the kind that came out of a can of Campbell’s. “Here we go.”
You tilted your head, “Where’d you buy the soup?”
“Didn’t.” Joel grinned. “Made it.”
“You made it??”
“Uh huh.” It was honestly adorable how proud he looked of it. “Homemade is better than store bought, right? Gets you better quicker.”
You laughed, “I’m not so sure about the science behind that.”
“No, no. When I googled the recipe it definitely said this would get you better faster.” Joel teased.
You picked up the spoon and carefully blew the heat away before bringing it to your lips. The first thing you tasted was salt. A lot of salt. Too much salt. You coughed in response and tried not to twist your face to reveal the reaction. You cleared your throat and smiled, “Yum.”
Joel furrowed his brow, “What’s wrong? No good?”
“No. It’s⏤ It’s good.” You said quickly. “It’s… I like the, uh, the…”
Joel grabbed the spoon from your fingers to take a sip himself and he immediately spluttered with a cough and groan, “What the fuck is that?” Your lips twitched up into another smile. “That tastes awful. Jesus Christ. Gimme that.”
He took the tray from you and set it on the nightstand again away from you. You set a hand on the side of your face while watching his face crumple into a grumpy look of annoyance. You shook your head, “What did it taste like as you were making it?”
“What do you mean?”
“You know. While you were making it did it taste okay?” You clarified. Joel narrowed his eyes at you in thought and you tilted your head. “…Did you taste it while making it?”
“You’re supposed to eat it while you make it??”
You laughed, “Not eat. Just taste.”
“Shit.” Joel scoffed. “I ate some of the chicken and it was good.” You reached out and cupped his face. He looked annoyed with himself, but at your touch the grumpy demeanor morphed into a soft look of concern and disappointment. Joel sighed and turned his head to press a kiss to your palm before leaning into your touch again. “I’m so sorry, sugar. Just wanted to do somethin' nice for you myself rather than just buy…”
You shook your head, “This was nice. I loved it.”
“There is no way you loved that soup. It was just salt, damn it.”
“No, but I love that you tried.” You replied. “It’s the effort that counts.”
“That’s just what people say when they fuck up.” He grumbled.
You leaned forward and kissed the tip of his nose, “You said the homemade version would make me feel better, and this has definitely made me feel better, daddy.”
Joel wrapped his hand around the back of your neck and stared softly for a moment before his smile returned. “You missed my lips, sugar.”
“I already told you. I’m icky.”
“Don’t care. Still want you.”
“You are already pushing your luck.” You scoffed in amusement. “You are gonna end up sick.”
Joel pulled you closer, and even at full strength you’d never be capable of refusing this man. He paused with his lips just barely touching yours. “I’ll risk it.” Joel’s lips sealed against yours tenderly. A soft kiss of comfort rather than of passion. A wordless act of reassurance that he was there. Joel’s tongue just barely brushed against yours before he leaned back and left you wanting more. He hummed, “You taste like salt.”
“Yeah, gee, I wonder whose fault that is.”

Not even five minutes in quarantine and he comes out of the his room with a pout and his cover drapes over his shoulders.
Y/n: wtf are you doing? Go back in the bedroom. You’re in quarantine!

no cuz this is exactly how it went and yes I’m going to add onto this
when mikey gets Covid the first time, he’s the biggest baby. both because he hates being sick and because he’s being told he can’t cuddle with you. that’s what gets him through most sicknesses, holding you close and having you play with his hair. the moment you tell him he can’t have that he’s pouting and throwing pillows at you. when you say you don’t want to get Covid from him he will try to say “you hate me” until you explain it fully.
that won’t stop him from trying to convince you to break his quarantine and come cuddle. late at night, when you are watching tv with Izana, Shinichiro, Emma and Draken, who decided to quarantine at the sano house with everyone else to make it easier. you catch Mikey walking out of his room, covered in a giant comforter and wearing his mask staring you down. at first, you’ll think it’s a sickly child until you realize it’s your boyfriend. as you guide him back to his room, he starts talking nonsense, rambling on about how if he doesn’t get a kiss from you soon he’ll surely die. to which you reply that if he doesn’t return to his room youll never kiss him again.
Mikey would never give you Covid against your wishes, he’s childish and for the 14 days he has to quarantine he hates being away from you. but he knows better than to give it to you, finally his time line is great and most of his loved ones are alive, so he would never risk putting you at risk. he’ll call you right before he falls asleep and just asks you to stay on the line with him until he falls asleep, it’s silly since you are in the same house with him, but he just needs you next to him when he falls asleep.

To @PJM12023 (from here on to be called "dear troll") who might or might not see this cause you deactivated the account a mere second after you left a couple of comments on Jikook posts and sent me a stupid super ignorant and highly uninformed (or more so willfully so, I'd say):

So as you probably think I'm stupid I'm here to inform you that I'm not.

In any case, I’m writing this here once again, even though I’ve repeated this at the very least 1000 times, and even though I know that for you it’s like talking deaf ears, but there are others that will listen:
WATCH ORIGINAL CONTENT.
And if you watch edited content know it’s edited, many times manipulated into a short clip to show a point, at times twisting the whole interaction into something it never was.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
WATCH THE MEMBERS. LISTEN TO THEM.
APPLY CRITICAL THINKING.
Ask yourself: Is a post saying “a friend of a friend of the instructor from the ski resort told me...” something you can rely on?
Or, when the story keeps changing, evolving as time goes by, can that ‘story’ be perceived as truthful?
Or, when you have content you can actually see and a whole unsubstantiated story built behind it, is that story reliable?
Rule of thumb: Just don’t believe everything you read. Someone taking the time to put it into writing doesn’t make it truthful.

I was looking for your braid au (I am absolutely obsessed with it, if you ever write a full fic I will cry (of joy)) and I found the accidental baby acquisition au and ?? I love it wtf how did I not know about it ??? I love how everybody is just ‘yep, this is obi wan and anakin’s baby’ like, they don’t even question it, they’re a family.

anyway i just read through the tag and it's adorable. basically obi-wan and anakin have to quarantine on a planet and they come out of the experience with a baby to coparent which they bring back to the temple to raise.
everyone's just cool with it because the baby is adorable and obi-wan and anakin are adorable with the baby and yoda and mace both agree for some reason a ton of shatterpoints have disappeared when they look at skywalker holding the tiny baby
i think it's so much funnier if Nia is not force-sensitive but everyone lets her stick around because obi-wan would cry if they said she had to go
AND obi-wan bringing her to council meetings when shes a lil toddler and she's babbling nonsense but all the council knows it's very important to respond to baby speak like they're saying something very important so they all go 'oh yes that is such a good point you are making. very true. thank you.'

Hi.... If you don't mind me asking, can I ask, what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....
hi! i definitely dont mind, this is such a fun ask so i'm SO SORRY ive only answered now 😭 also im horrible at explaining my thoughts so please bear with me...
1. jujutsu kaisen
i can go on and on about jjk but I'm trying to keep this short so I don't go on an endless rant. OKAY. i love the power system of jujutsu, it's simple but also pretty flexible and creative, i love the historical and traditional aspect of it + how it ties into clan culture, i love how it branches into barrier techniques, reverse cursed technique, binding vows, etc. for characters like gojo in particular i love how he's pictured as the strongest and how akutami shows the gap between him vs all other sorcerers, like he was in a whole different league and how his birth changed/tipped the balance of the world of jujutsu. i love the whole "saving others" thing like how yuuji wants to save everyone, megumi wants to save good people, nobara wants to save the people who mean alot to her, gojo thinking abt how he can only save people who want to be saved, geto wanting to save sorcerers from non sorcerers, etc. i like how the series has aspects of history (like how sugawara no michizane was a sorcerer and how his descendants include the gojo clan is ⅓ of the three main clans of the series, and basically the entirety of tengen (lol)). i love the anime adaptation and how crazy the animation is (when s1 came out i was alr baffled but after watching s2 and looking back at s1 im even more impressed at their development), the manga's artstyle i was a big fan of but now not so much (the scratchyness and alternating thick and thin rough lines around the time of shibuya arc were PEAK). besides that as a buddhist myself, the multiple buddhism references in the series really cemented my love for it as it felt familiar and it feels like ur getting a shout out esp since most shows feature themes of catholicism and christianity.
2. blue lock
i'm honestly unathletic af idk why im here. i think what hooked me was the whole individualistic + egoist concept and the elimination setting (like squid game) 🙏 for me blue lock's prime is [2nd selection, 4v4] until the end of [u20 arc], i really liked the art style during that period! sadly, i feel blue lock has fallen off ever since the current NEL arc, it feels as if theyve deviated from the original ego concept (fuck this whole "protagonism" thing man wtf) and the artstyle has undergone changes im not particular to. also the anime wack af.
3. bungou stray dogs
im going to be honest. i did NOT like bsd. s1-s3 was too all over the place for me and i really did not get the series at all, i actually thought it ended but then they released s4 & s5 in 2023. almost a year since s4 came out, i came around to watching it and i got HOOKED, i think a big factor was that there was less fillers and a lot more action scenes, plus the detective vs mastermind thing truly popped off in s4 + s5. besides that, i enjoyed the introduction of new cast and the return of previous ones (now as allies). sure, there's plot holes and the anime cuts off a handful of scenes but it WAS an incredibly enjoyable watch. plus i'd say bsd has mountains of content (atleast in comparison with other serieses) because besides your usual manga, anime, and occasionally stage play adaptation. you have the alt univ. BEAST, light novels like stormbringer or 55 minutes, wan!, and even bsd gaiden (which has nothing to do w the main series)
4. haikyuu
THE classic. it was the first anime i got into when i started quarantine and it brought back my animanga phase. i love how the characters all have interesting stories to tell, their own motivations and personalities. lots of teamwork, teambuilding, found family(?) aspects, plus all the themes have their own specific themes which i dig a lot (ex. inarizaki and their foxes + shrines). plus i love how this series captures the thrill of watching sports, it MIGHT be overexaggerated to some but i get lightheaded when theyre at match-point and on the verge of losing so it does provide some kind of high. OH and i like that they show realistic wins and losses.
5. hunter x hunter
i have not read the manga but this show was serious to me. i'm a sucker for meta and power systems, and nen is like... actually insane. i love the characters SO MUCH, the variety of designs and appearances, how the series shows the way they grow throughout their adventures and experiences, the way they show a character's relationship with the rest of the cast, etc. it also gives a somewhat nostalgic vibe? i love the opening, endings, OSTs + narrator. it truly does feel like ur tagging along on their adventures, it was a real tearjerker for me tbh.
6. avatar: the last airbender + the legend of korra
i think atla is an amazing show bcs 1. cool setting and world building 2. the cultural references 3. cool dynamics 4. character personalities and development 5. cool power system and fighting styles 6. found family etc etc... ITS A COMPLETE PACKAGE. im p sure not much are fond of tlok but i love it. i think some reasons include the fact that korra isnt like aang, but i think thats what makes tlok interesting, korra is 17 when the show starts and the show continues to follow how she grows and develops into a fully realized avatar both physically and spiritually. i also think its bcs of how they modernized bending and how lots of the cultural aspect is lost but i think its an incredible and interesting way to showcase real life modernization.
7. jojo's bizarre adventure
jjba CHANGED ME 😭 this series is actually insane like if it was a person please get it to a mental ward. i think as an artist, it holds a very dear place in my heart. the show itself is absurd and unbelievable so it keeps you on your toes (dont mind the plot holes and inconsistencies, at some point you're just gonna have to live with it). but the selling point for me is the characters, everyone has amazing, colorful and distinct designs that match well with their personalities and overall air. not to mention the artstyle and references in everything to everything? lol. the show's different parts also feature different main casts, dynamics and storylines, sometimes they do a callback to a previous part.
okay! it was very hard choosing between the 7 of them but i think they actually were the ones that truly left an impact on me. thank you so much for the ask i finally got the chance to ramble about the stuff i consume 😭😭😭 there's a lot of media I'd love to talk about and mention so maybe one day ill make a post on hopefully all the media ive consumed.

genshin impact
i started genshin in 2021 when 1.3 came out, i was dead serious about this game during quarantine. i love liyue so much its what truly got me hooked (everything from the music, the sights, etc. for me liyue/pre inazuma was prime genshin), i enjoyed building characters and doing showcases too. started losing interest when sumeru came out and slowly stopped logging in/playing daily. the reason i wont put this in the actual list is bcs im pretty clueless about the new characters and story, nor do i have much interest in them. (i came back to do the lantern rite event, love the new liyue regions!)
detective comics
i love action and fights, especially when they feature powers, so liking superheroes makes sense 🤷 DC gets shit on alot bcs of the DCEU but the films aside i like DC better than marvel. im particular to gotham and the batfam, it's just more dark and gritty, plus there's lotsa drama going on LOL. the gotham knights cast also branches alot like to young justice (I LOVE YOUNG JUSTICE 😭), teen titans, titans, birds of prey, and ofc justice league.

i’m not sick anymore but i've seen more j-dramas
I’m happy to say that this wasn’t a one time thing and wanted to watch more j-dramas after my quarantine, so here’s what I’ve seen since july (which isn’t much, but it’s something lol)
1. suki na hito ga iru koto aka a girl and three sweethearts (8.5/10): oh, to be a pastry chef and move to a beach town to live and work with three hot guys... and one of them is played by yamazaki kento??? no but seriously, I loved the vibes that it gave off, and I don’t even enjoy going to the beach! I thoroughly enjoyed this drama, minus 1) misaki sometimes spoke in a very cartoonish way that got on my nerves 2) my dude kanata was sometimes too aloof and rude for my taste, like being nice every once in a while isn’t so hard? especially to the person you like? 3) wtf chiaki dgaf about misaki and the moment kanata shows some interest he’s head over heels now? come on
2. gokushufudo aka the way of the househusband (8.5/10): at first I wasn’t entirely convinced because the drama was pretty much tatsu being a househusband and people being scared of him because of his shady looks and past, but as the episodes went by we started getting more character development and backstory... and I was sooooo in! I was looking for some easy laughs, but this drama also managed to warm my heart and made me care about tatsu and his family and friends... :’D tamaki hiroshi was spectacular.
3. coffee & vanilla (5.5/10): I guess this is where the shitshow begins lol. the only positive thing that I had heard about this drama before watching it was that dori sakurada looked really hot... and the rest was quite awful. this drama was so short and everything happened so fast it felt like it was on steroids or something lol. definitely cringey and hiroto behaved like a creep. however, it had something that glued me to the screen and I flew through it. at least it was entertaining and not boring, which imo is waaaay worse
4. good morning call (7/10): I believe this was one of the first j-dramas that were added on netflix, and I had been curious about it since I first saw it because who doesn’t like a cohabitation plot? grumpy x sunshine? well, the premise was better than the actual execution. uehara isn’t grumpy, he’s a dick. I get that nao is sometimes too hyper for my taste but omg put some fucking effort into the relationship!!! whenever she talks to uehara it seems like he’s being bothered. also, people were shipping nao with daichi, but this guy wouldn’t take no for an answer and accept that nao isn’t into him. she should’ve ended with issei, but whatever. besides that, the drama was pretty entertaining and I liked the ensemble of characters. also, there were some really cute moments that made me forget for two minutes how dumb uehara was.

TAG GAME: EIGHT SHOWS TO GET TO KNOW ME
Tagged by @twvstedsouls Thank you for the tag! ❤️ This sat in my drafts for a good bit of time with an extensive list of shows. Such a struggle to get us down to 8. 😅
PEAKY BLINDERS - The first time I tried to watch, I didn't get past the first scene, tbh. Then, a year or so later, I tried again and it became a fixed piece of my personality. 🤣 For me, it's really the family dynamics and the unrelenting mental health issues so present throughout.
SUITS - Once upon a time, I really wanted to be a lawyer. Not one like Harvey Specter, but still. Love the found family aspect and that it's set in NYC. And just feel like Harvey's assertiveness and sarcasm is something I always vibed with. And the ladies!! I love Jessica, Donna, Rachel, and Katrina!
SPYXFAMILY - Again, found family. I love love love this show so much. I started binge watching the first time I got COVID and was quarantined in our guest room and it definitely helped me through. Anya is so fucking cute and I'm a whole-ass adult, but I would let Loid and Yor adopt me in a heartbeat.
BROTHERS AND SISTERS - I was lowkey obsessed with this show when I was in high school. I remember there being a scene with Kevin and Scotty getting hot and heavy and my mom walking in and being like wtf are you watching??? 🤣 Anyway, again for me it's the dysfunctional family relationships that drew me in. And that I was obsessed with Kitty & Senator McCallister.
COMMUNITY - Literally got me through the pandemic low of holiday season 2020 when I thought I would be going home to see my family but ended up being sick so I couldn't and...it was a dark time, but we started watching Community and it was just a ray of sunshine in a dark time of a seasonal, COVID, and regular depression wave. And Troy & Abed are everything! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
WHITE COLLAR - I do not feel like White Collar is a very good show. It's cheesy as hell, but I love the characters. I love the nonsense. And Neal is so pretty to look at and he's clever and annoying. Peter & El are goals and such tired parents. Satchmo is my dog. I would pet him forever. Mozzie is delightfully odd. Diana and Jones are my bestfriends. I want to live in June's NYC apartment. I love the bad guys. The only person I couldn't stand was Kate tbh.
ANNE WITH AN E - I watched all of the PBS specials and read Anne of Green Gables as a kid so this series just touched something special in my heart. It was just so wholesome and delightful and I wanted more.
SHAMELESS - Shameless was such a funny show about very not funny content. I laughed a lot, but also felt a lot of pain and sadness about so much of it. It felt like a very real representation of so many issues, a lot of which touch on some issues very central to the work I do in my career. And again, family dynamics, which is very clearly something I'm drawn towards.

Something is wrong with my Ranboo. He suddenly retreated into his bedspace and curled up in a little ball.
He is ignoring my attempts to coax him out. I’m calling the local Wildlife Rehab Centre. Hopefully they know whats going on.

So the Wildlife Rehab Centre knows fuck-all about what’s going on.
Officially panicking now.

Called a friend cause I couldn’t calm down.
They told me to call the MCYT doctor in the city. Called them. Told me to bring my Ranboo in tomorrow. Appointment is scheduled. Said to keep track of if anything changes overnight.
Way calmer now.
Gonna keep an eye on Ran tonight.

Woke up this morning. Went to check on Ran and his back had split open. I can see pale flesh inside.
Oh god.
Gonna bundle them up and get them to the doctor ASAP.

Appointment over.
Doc was mystified. Said that while he’s seen other mcyts do something similar, he’s never seen documented cases of a Ranboo breed doing that.
He looked Ran over and said that health-wise, they’re perfectly fine.
He suggested offering damp towels to make the shedding process easier. Since they’ll be only damp, it shouldn’t cause issues with their skin.
I really hope that it isn’t the start of something worse…

I woke up this morning and I found a stiff dry husk shoved into a corner.
I called out to Ran, fearing the worst.
Something that wasn’t my Ran crawled out of the bedspace. They had one of the blankets wrapped around them.
Instead of the pretty black and white coloring, they are fully pale and their hair is this dishwater blonde. They look like those cooking-video Ranboos?
He responds to me just fine. But. That’s not my Ran.
I took a picture with my phone to send to the doctor. He hissed at me.

Doctor called me back. We have another appointment scheduled for tomorrow.
Keeping an eye on the observation cameras tonight.

Woke up this morning to Ran scratching on the wall with one of their pens.
They were writing something.
Something about ‘pacts’? And ‘1974’? I also see ‘1984’ in places too.

Currently at the doctor’s.
They didn’t fight me when I moved them into the carrier.
Waiting for the appointment. He is scribbling away in a notebook. Gonna have to take a look at that later tonight when they fall asleep.

Doctor said that he can’t detect any concerning variance. He was still able to locate Ran’s chip, and it’s still got my data.
It’s my Ran. But it’s not.
Doc took blood. Ran was not happy about that. Doc will call me tomorrow with the results.
Idfk man. Gonna quarantine him when I get home. No guests over for 2 weeks. No taking them out for 2 weeks.
Gonna miss seeing the others at the mcyt playgroup.

The 100 Rewatch 2023 Live blog 1.10
I am become death
go me. i literally did this while the lasagne was in the oven. you would be surprised at how much you can get done while the oven is doing its job.
anyway. i hope these liveblogs aren't too long for y'all but i guess no one has to read them if they are. after the jump
Ooh. Dead body parts. Yikes. first shot
A crater and burning ship. Finn is trying to protect Clarke from being out here, and Raven is like, her mom was here. She's looking for awswers.
Bellamy blames Finn for the grounders coming. Finn blames him for bringing guns. Ravne says if he didn't we'd all be dead. Raven finds hydrozine. Is that a real thing or a sff fuel? Energy sources in sff are cool. Want a magic powered ship? Just make up an energy source. Wait maybe hydrazine is real i really don't know.
OH LOOK baby Harper who is crushing on Jasper, who is pretendign to be a great warrior. Monty is like let us have this. The geeks.
All the delinquents are getting trigger happy. OHHH. It's MURPHY i forgot about that. Poor guy got tortured worse than Lincoln.
Bellamy wants to kill him for coming back. We hanged him we banished him and now we're gonna kill him. Clarke thinks Finn is right.
His fingenails were torn off. Murphy told them EVERYTHING.
Aww baby harper in her head band. Flattering Jasper. Wants to come by his tent after shift and Jasper is too busy for her. WTF. Loser. Monty can't believe it. Then Jasper calls her "low hanging fruit." Gotta say that was one of the things made me not like Jasper.
Jasper tells him Octavia isn't into him. And then Jasper says he's jealous that people think he's cool and then kicks him out of his damn tent. Jasper. You prick. This rewatch is solidifying my least favorite characters.
Clarke and Raven trying to listen to the Ark but there's NO SIGNAL whatsoever. Raven trying to make nice, apologize for her mom. And then Clarke's eyes start bleeding. Oh now Conor is coughing and bleeding. Now the other kid. Racen figures out that it's a plague from bringing murphy in. So goes to Murphy whose puking and asks him how he escaped. They let him go.
Bellamy stay back. Biological warfare. Grounders retaliation.
Murphy was the weapon.
Nice twist.
Bellamy is being a dick again. He grows so much in the whole show. But he's not there yet. Finn is still trying to hit on her and she's like don't touch me. You'll get sick. One of the kids dies though. I wonder why he couldn't survive. THat was quick.
Quarantine everyone who had contact with Murphy. Octavia gets quarantines and B flips out. But we know she doesn't get sick. Not everyone does. She's looking through Lincoln's notebook. Bellamy blames Lincoln. Oh wait another mark for her boyfriend's book. No that's literal. The hatch marks crossed out.
Oh right, she quarantines O and tells b that it will keep her from sneaking out then turns around and tells her to sneak out again. He sent the flower to tell her to get out of there, she saw it right before she found the kid his people sent to kill them. They use the virus to soften the battlefield. THey attack at first light. The grounders think he's a traitor now because of her. He's way to old for her. Wow I can't get off that. But Lincoln is leaving to go east to the sea. She wants to warn her people but tells him to wait for her. She's coming with him.
More light Bellarke flirting. He figures out that O is not in the dropship because Clarke sent her to see Lincoln for a cure. He's SUPER pissed. Bellamy needs some chamomile tea. Chill man. Oh Fox goes down and then pukes in people's faces and all the kids are pulling guns. Panic in the camp.
Clarke brings out a gun and shoots at the sky. Gives one of her Clarke speeches. Someone points a gun at her and B snags it and smacks the kid down. Clarke falls and Finn runs to catch him. Raven is like "Finn don't touch her," and then looks so sad.
O tells them there is no cure. But it doesn't kill. ANd the grounders are attacking at first light. Bearer of bad news.
B asks Raven how many bullets she can make by first light. Murphy offers Clarke his hammock. Murphy is helping care for the ill.
Clarke tells Finn to take the healthy and leave camp. "IF you think I could do that, you don't know me very well." She says "I know you...." so sweet. Blergh.
Oh now Jasper has Harper's back? Finn realizes they can blow up the bridge to delay the attack because the illness is short lived. B thinks the bridge is too strong to survive an attack. "It won't survive me," Raven says and then heads to the wreckage in her spacesuit to collect hydrazine.
Bellamy doesn't look well. Raven shows her little bomb. Hyrdazine in a jelly jar surrounds it by gunpowder.
B is like Which one of you plants the bomb and Finn and Raven pause a LONG pause before he says he'll do it.
Oop. Bellamy's nose is bleeding. Finnn Who else can take the shot.
I appreciate the concern. B heads off and asks Jasper to take the shot. "If you miss if that bridge doesn't blow we're all dead."
"Why me?" The only one not sick.
Bellamy colapses and tells J to stay back and make the shot.
Murphy takes care of Conor and Murphy says they're all good. "I put the rope around your neck why are you helping me?" Bygones. You little liar. He's going to smother you in your sleep.
B comes in and tells O he's scared. She says she won't let anything happen to him. "That's what I said to you the day you were born." THere are SO MANY good things in this show and they drop them all to cause pain and trauma.
Stupid.
Finn realizes that Raven is planting the bomb herself.
Jasper asks him if he wants to come and Monty says "why don't you ask your new friends."
Raven in the woods delivering bombs. Trips. The jar is not broken but Raven's nose starts bleeding.
Murphy caring for B and B won't let him. Makes threats. Dumbass. Clarke comes over "hey i got this one." "you feeling better?" yeah. "S'good." The flirting is getting deeper. Questions the trusting Murphy. She believes in second chances. THey worry about the bomb on the bridge and if it's going to work and she says she'll get everyone inside.
Raven woozy at the bridge. small bridge. i dont' believe not having that bridge would actually stop them. We hear war drums.
"We're running towards the war drums? I hate this plan." Jasper has some good lines.
R sets the bomb. Finn yells for Raven. Grounders look like monsters (urukai to be specific) running through the woods. Raven is crawling to get away from the bomb not very far, and picks up her gun. She'll blow herself up.
Finn runs up and carries her away. Helps her run He can't carry her.
Jasper is pointing his gun as the warriors are marauding through the forest. He misses. Now it's a misfire.
Monty runs up with a gun. "Last time was a fluke. I panicked."
Monty So what you still made the shot right? Hands him the gun. You got this. Three rounds.
Misses the first.
"Did you not hear me say you got this?"
Gets the next shot.
BIG KABOOM.
B and C see the mushroom cloud from camp. "I am become death. Destroyer of worlds."
Oppenheimer the man who built...
I know who Oppenheimer is. The flirt game builds.
Lincoln drew a mushroom cloud on the cave walls. "There is so much you don't understand. The mountain men they'll come and they'll kill us all."
The real enemy and the're playing stupid games with a bunch of kids.
O gives Lincoln his journal back. She's not coming with him. Youll die here.
Maybe. They're my people.
AGAIN why did we lose this goddamned theme?
Harper sees Jasper and Monty and O returning victorious. And Raven and Finn. Clarke is jealous. WHy clakre why?
Clarke nods at Murphy in thanks. He smiles and nods back sneaky bastard.
Raven says Finn saved his life. I woldn't have to if you didn't take the bomb
"You hesitated. When B asked who would take the bomb, you hesitated. You didn't hesitate when Clarke was falling."
"Raven I love you."
"Not the way I want to be loved." AGAIN. What HAPPENED TO THAT THEME? She had the worst love interests. Actually I liked the next one. But the actor was bad. And he would have died in season 3 any way
B comes to Clarke looking at the graves. B wants to talk about Murphy. The mountain men are pissed. She wants to pardon Murphy. "It's hard running things." 14 dead.
Cut to Murphy in the quiet dropship. SUffocates Conor. The little bastard.
HOW THE HELL DID THEY REDEEM THIS MOFOING COCKROACH.
But they did. THey really did. He is an AWFUL character in s 1 though. Complex but awful. He makes a really good badguy. 4`11

Having Covid sucks. This is my second time having it (both times over my birthday wtf). Last time, I got 10 days quarantine from work (this was near the height of the pandemic) and I was not well enough at that point to return to work, but I did anyway. I was given a 5 day quarantine this time, took a 6th day, and am still not equipped to return to work.
I'm overweight. But I have stamina, I'm in decent shape. I work out. But Covid has me so drained that I get worn out doing small tasks like taking a shower or making myself a meal. Last time, it was weeks before I was back to a normal operating level. How long will it be this time?
I sometimes worry if I'll ever get back to my personal normal.

Y’all wtf how to the Fallout Universe predict Covid and 2020-2022??
Ok so I’ve been doing a research on Fallout Lore cause I’m wanting to write a fanfic where the Sole Survivor is Japanese and received political asylum to America yadda yadda you know shaking up the rigid box Bethesda put the possible back stories. Anyway I needed to read up on the pre-war lore so I can write out what happened to Japan in their alternate history and so that Sole Survivor can talk about what life was actually like back then.
And my dudes, it’s basically what the fuck is happening now. So America was at war with communist China over oil running out. (Sounds a little familiar). But the. I keep reading and it references a New Plague and a massive nation-wide quarantine. Like bruh it even says there was never a cure and they just fucking dealt with it.

Oh and this started 24 years before the bombs fell. So if your Sole Survivor is any older that 24, they’ve lived through it.
So now I’m just here stuck cause I wanna write my silly little Fallout 4 fanfic to fix my problematic fav Maxson (I can change him UWU) where others can read and get away from the horrors of today… only for when pre-war is asked about the Sole Survivor will canonically describe the general feeling of modern ass 2022 America. (So much for escapism).

You’re more connected to the Sole Survivor now than in 2016. You are basically Sole Survivor in the intro going to your little fucking event and giving a little fucking speech and care for your child like the world isn’t crumbling around you and it’s on every channel.
So that makes me wonder, what would you think if you were asked about pre-bombs? Would you grieve in your Old World Blues? Would you be happy to be free of today’s societal shackles? Or just relieved that the show has finally dropped and at least that’s not hanging over your head.

About my ask I sent loved reading your reply you do seem to be in a smaller group of quarantine stans who actually took the time to do good research while most got random bits from tiktok and what not so they don't get the good main part of the story.
Then usually the didn't do any research quarantine stans try to tell veterans how wrong they are on things like BG even tho we lived through it. So if you do see any "anti quarantine stans" from veterans just know it's directed at the ones who did zero research and completely ignore/disagree with what veterans believe and hate on us to a digree.
On a better note one follow question I have what was the first thing you read up on that really made you go HOLD UP they might be on to something or something might be up with L&H. For me [while living through it] the first thing that made me go 🤨 was Haylor. How little chemistry they had, how little it seemed Harry carried for her, Louis strong distaste for Haylor [IE getting annoyed any time he was asked about them and always wanting to make it clear they are friends at best maybe not even that bc why was Harry's best friend so against his relationship] AND OF COURSE L&H mood of sadness throughout winter 2012 which didn't seem to end until Haylor was officially over and they were seen out partying together. I was like ok what we are being told is not the truth
There's a lot going on with that "I loved you first" interview that stands out to me. (around 8:30 that segment starts) first up before Louis answers, I think Harry's trying to talk to him through his answer too. Like they're both doing it to each other, and I think Harry did it earlier in the interview too, at least around 6:00 Harry goes in to answer (this is not long after Louis lost track of his thoughts while trying to answer the previous question), but he doesn't really. He actually just starts talking about a "remember when" that nobody seems to remember but louis, like he's checking in with him, telling him something only he knows. He just gives him a very pointed "SWEDEN" and it's like something just goes bro-to-pal-telepathy-activated and he got his attention and they both know what's going on. We don't, it's just for them, and it shows they're super close and each others state of mind matters most. Idk, it's.. strong. The rest is like wtf and making fun of it, and harry and louis are just our there yearning for swedish pancakes for two or something. I don't know, it's just pretty consistent stuff like that where they're so aware of each others presence and mood and act accordingly in very sneaky ways that speaks volumes. So I guess those kinda moments are what made me go HOLD UP on top of everything else?
