I designed this version of Varian to be kind of a ✨ wandering scholar ✨ He and Ruddiger are travelling the overworld, getting into trouble and stealing apples, lol. I don’t imagine he actually has much magic himself, though whatever power he has, he likes to imbue into objects. If this was, like, an RPG, I can see Varian having moves that inflict damage and/or status affects through his alchemy and automatons. He’s probably more clever than he is strong, with his physical attacks being ranged and using his good aim to make critical hits.

My piece I did for the @dotzines Magic Zine. Apologies for the artifacting, Nightshade and I were duking it out.

The two characters are Angel (The guy in the background) and Julia (The girl in the front). They come from a world of magic and Julia is Angel's apprentice.

Have yall noticed that in potion permit when the NPCs are talking about you they use they/them pronouns?

I use she/her pronouns but I thought it was a really nice thing to add. It doesn't bother me at all and I hope it not a bug.

Same with the bathhouse! I noticed that you can take a bath with girls and guys. I think its random, I've only gone two times so far.
