Time’s Singing (M(T)PJ: Different Futures)
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
My (Twisted) Pokemon Journey Masterlist
This is a short thing I wrote a few years ago, and since I am close to getting to finally implement it, I figured that I’d post it. This is my Trainer OC/Player Charcater Crystal/Pearl within the PMD:EoS DS game, at Fogbound Lake and meeting Uxie. It’s not very long, but I liked the idea of the scene going this way instead.
The Time Gear’s light shone far across the lake. Uxie watched us all carefully, but aside from a quick glance at him, I only focused on the far-off Time Gear. And the lovely, soft music. I almost didn’t notice its subtle sound; I only noticed myself keeping time to the music.
“The music is beautiful,” I said quietly. “Is it from the Time Gear, Uxie?”
“You hear it?” Uxie asked, surprised. “Only the Guardians hear it.” He paused, but I never looked away from it. “You don’t know who you were before? But you were human?”
I tore my eyes from the Gear and forced myself to focus on Uxie. He seemed concerned, but not for me. “As far as we can tell. Does it mean anything? Is there a Guardian missing?”
Uxie stared at me, into me, with an arresting intensity. Finally, he shook his head and said, “I don’t know. Maybe someone else can tell you.” And because of this, I will spare your current memories, and the memories of your Guildmates, I heard in my mind. I nodded wordlessly.

i played pmd:eos 12 years after the release and once i got back to the mystery dungeon franchise after a friend of mine recc'd it to me and honestly i will NEVER be over the most iconic piece of music in gaming history
also hehe SO RIGHT, same hat <33333
GOD, YEAH... PMD2's ending makes me cry more than any other video game, ever. Yes, including Mother 3, and that game has a reputation for being a tearjerker!
I could honestly talk for ages about how much that game is the blueprint I compare everything else against, I'll never forget what it was like as a kid experiencing the Plot Twist for the first time while playing my DS in the booth at a local restaurant with my family. Shoutout to this game for having the most iconic final boss theme ever, too, like you can just feel the weight of that fight and what the player knows will happen even if they win:
AND YEAH SAME HAT!! Every time I hit like or reblog on a Laurel post and I see you in the tags saying "MEOWING" I'm like oh my god... Did I ghostwrite that... She makes us all so mentally unwell and I'm glad that I'm not alone in that! ;w; We're like a colony of cats that comes running whenever we see her lmao

May arceus help victini if they play uno no mercy and he draw 10s her.
(Referencing this post)
Celebi demands he goes all out, and this means he’s using all his statistics-influencing abilities during this game. Celebi is peeking ahead in the timeline constantly so she knows what strategies to use. It’s a brutal match that ends in a draw and they shake hands on the mutual loss. Victini comes away with a more grounded admiration of Celebi that's got more substance than just being infatuated with a lady he saw in the crowd during a couple of his shows, and Celebi comes away with an even deeper respect for her rival in cuteness.
Everyone around them, meanwhile, is terrified of how intense those two got during the game. Like. They didn’t even know how scary a lucky rabbit and onion fairy could be before then. They pray that terror will never be directed at them.
