Creative Ways to Use Graffiti Wall Stickers in Your Home Decor
Graffiti wall stickers are a fun and easy way to add a touch of urban style to any space. They are a popular option for those who want to incorporate street art into their home or business décor without the commitment of a permanent mural or wallpaper. This essay will discuss the benefits of graffiti wall stickers and why they have become a popular choice among interior designers and homeowners.
Firstly, graffiti wall stickers are a versatile and customizable option. They come in a variety of sizes and designs, making it easy to find the perfect sticker to fit any space. Graffiti wall stickers can be tailored to the specific needs of a space, whether it's a small sticker to add a pop of color or a large sticker to create a bold statement. This flexibility allows for endless possibilities in creating unique and personalized environments.
Secondly, graffiti wall stickers are a cost-effective alternative to traditional artwork or murals. Commissioning an artist to create a custom mural can be expensive, while graffiti wall stickers are an affordable way to achieve a similar effect. Graffiti wall stickers also offer the added benefit of being easily removable and replaceable, allowing for a quick and easy update to a space without the need for a complete overhaul.
Thirdly, graffiti wall stickers can add a sense of fun and playfulness to a room. The colorful and quirky designs of graffiti wall stickers can create a sense of whimsy and joy that is difficult to achieve with traditional artwork or décor. This can be particularly effective in children's rooms, playrooms, or spaces that require a bit of lightheartedness.
Additionally, graffiti wall stickers can be used to showcase a specific theme or express creativity. They can be used to showcase a love of music, art, or sports, or to display a social or political message. The versatility of graffiti wall stickers allows for endless possibilities in expressing creativity and making a bold statement.
To ensure the best results when using graffiti wall stickers, it is important to work with a reputable and experienced supplier. They should have the necessary expertise and knowledge to advise on the best materials and installation techniques for the specific requirements of a space. Proper installation is essential to achieve a seamless and durable finish that will last for years to come.
In conclusion, graffiti wall stickers are a fun and easy way to add a touch of urban style to any space. They offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional artwork or murals, add a sense of fun and playfulness to a room, and can be used to showcase a specific theme or express creativity. Working with an experienced and reputable supplier is essential to achieve the best results and ensure a seamless and durable finish.

3) an expensive drink, a ruined dress, grafitty for feral bruce and sunshine clark? :)
Sure thing! :D the pure joy I felt at having an excuse to look through fashion shows for some Feral Bruce Fashion inspiration….
~🦇~
It’s one of those places you’d only find in Gotham, Clark supposes. Art nouveau mansion, delicate arches and playful marble swirls, run down and covered in graffiti and now rediscovered by the avant-garde. Resurrected decay, spoiled decadence.
The dress code on his invitation said “formal black” and the sea of tuxedos and gowns is a harsh contrast to the shattered windows, the bare floors. Cigarettes with Chanel-red kisses litter the floor, now and then he steps into puddles of sticky champagne.
Bruce suspects the Miss Quinn in the crowd. He’s wearing a Dress.
-
Clark isn’t listening to what the woman wrapped in gleaming black fur is telling him, but that’s fine. He’s technically not supposed to be here anyways. The Planet doesn’t run an article on this event and the invitation was sent from Wayne enterprises, with an additional note in silvery pencil. Wear the tailored one. An afterthought: please.
In his ear, half a room away, Bruce leans towards the art dealer he’s talking to faux-whisper to him. “You don’t think I can get them to drop some raspberries into my next flute? My doctor says I should add fruit to my diet.”
Clark excuses himself from the Lady in furs and turns towards the bar. He walks slowly, reporter’s gaze sharp on the people he passes, until – “Oh, excusez-moi, Sunshine.” The scent of champagne sharp in his nose, cool liquid seeping through his shirt. Bruce drops the empty flute, it shatters next to Clark’s shoe. “Shit, I am sorry. Here, let me – “ Warm hands on his chest. Clark looks down. Bruce is wearing a black dress, deep boat neckline, shimmering black silk. Long sleeves and a slit on the side that goes up to his hipbone. Pinstripe trousers.
“It’s fine, no need to –“ He catches one of Bruce’s hands, the silk warm against his palm. Squeezes gently, once, to hear that little hitch in his breath. “Please. No need to worry.”
“Well, my hands are sticky.” Billionaire voice, playful-spoiled child, jovial pouting. “Allez, allez, to the restroom.”
And here they are. Some rundown hallway, not yet rediscovered and smelling of the wood hammered over the busted windows. Broken glass under their shoes and graffiti covering the peeling wallpaper. Bruce leans in as he speaks and the lush-gleaming silk of his dress spills from his shoulders to his chest. From this angle, the faintest hint of a bruise is visible in the shadows of his neckline, a pink-purple reminder of a kiss by his nipple. Memories of a hand in his hair, Bruce’s waist bruising under his grip.
Clark nods. Shakes his head. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”
When he looks up, Bruce catches his eye and he pauses. The light falling through the gaps between the wooden planks sharpens his cheekbones, makes his eyes shine. There’s a brief pause, his pulse loud in Clark’s ear. “I think we can spare fifteen minutes.”
With a sigh of relief, Clark leans in, reaches out, warm silk under his palms, Bruce’s pulse against his lips, a hand in his hair. Bruce sighs, his head falling back against graffiti-coloured walls.
-
“Darn, Bruce, I’m really sorry,” Clark says with real regret in his voice, thumb brushing the broken zipper, the hint of warm skin underneath. His own hand tan against the dip of Bruce’s spine. “I didn’t mean to.”
“I’ll fix it later. Hold it in place.”
Clark does as directed and Bruce does something that unpins the sash around his waist. Clark thought it was sewed into the dress, but now Bruce winds it around his waist and over the zipper, hiding the flash of bare skin before he pins it in place again. He turns his head, catching Clark’s eye. The flush is still pink and sweet on his cheeks, sweat and Clark’s kisses gleaming on his neck, his chest. “Ready to go?”
Clark runs both hands over his hair, smoothing down unruly curls. “Yeah.” He smiles, dimple-bright.
Bruce nods, eyes flicking down for barely a second. A flash of teeth as he bites his lips, then he turns. “Great. Allez, allez.”
Clark huffs a laugh and follows.
~🦇~
Ahhhh this was so much fun!! Thank you so much for the prompt! And in case you were wondering, Bruce was wearing Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, Aurumn 2015 ready to wear -

Trust || Part I
Brian Thomas/Hoodie x Reader
* * *
Based on yet another dream that I had. What’s with me and getting inspired by weird creepypasta dreams?
* * *
"Babe it's getting too risky," You said, glancing up at the flickering light of the hotel hallway.
The voice on the end of the line protested, trying to hide a slight whine.
"I know, but I'm traveling with them now. They'll notice if I'm-"
"You're what?!"
"Do you want them to trust me enough to give you info or not?" You hissed, sparing a moment to glance into the darkroom of the hotel where Jay and Tim peacefully slept. You whipped your head back into the hallway, "Tim is already getting suspicious enough of me as it is, especially when he caught me looking through his bag."
"It's just once, once out of three months."
You leaned against the cheap yellow-stained wallpaper and closed your eyes for a few moments, "Okay, I'll meet you there in a couple of days."
"Love you."
___
It was hard to think up of an excuse the following days. Even Tim has stopped his late-night disappearances for smokes, or so he says. One reason you thought of, was that we wanted to watch you while he pretended to slumber.   You also had to find another excuse, this time, one for Brian. You know he misses you, but all it takes is to get your ass chewed out one time and it's over. But hopefully, this will pacify him long enough until you can separate from the two.
You slipped away one morning, making sure Tim and Jay's breathing was steady and quiet before leaving the room. The hotel was empty, you noted, as you left through the steel doors. Everyone was sleeping. It was a cold, summer's morning with dew coating the grass that you had to tread through to get to your car.
No one was really out early on the weekends, so there was no delay traveling to Rosswood Park. Well, it wasn't Rosswood, it was just an extension of the forest. Nothing that the park itself owned. You could tell by how much litter and graffiti decorated the trees as soon as you stepped off of the boundaries of the path. You could see the building from here, the one that Brian said to meet in. He couldn't just make it easy for you and meet behind a Wendy's somewhere.
It'd be safer than walking alone in a forest and without the risk of falling through any weak flooring of abandoned schools, or whatever this place was. You paused at the tree line circling the building for any sign of your boyfriend. A hooded figure peeking over a broken window sill eased your worries. But what was with the mask?
The smell inside was nauseating, a mixture of dead animal and toxic paint. You climbed up the rickety metal stairs and your footsteps echoed off of them like hammers on nails. But you nearly fell down them when you caught a person from the corner of your eye.
"Jesus Christ, Brian." You managed a nervous chuckle, wondering if that was actually Brian under there. As soon as you turned off the steps, one of his large hands grabbed your waist, a little too roughly for your liking, but you'll take it.
To your relief, you recognized the dirty blonde stubble decorating his jawline before he kissed you. A taste that you almost forgot. And Lord, his scent. He still smells the same as the day he left. His lips danced with yours eagerly as your arms wrapped around his neck. Brian reacted with a playful growl and pressed your body closer to his. He wanted to feel all of you, it's been too long. It was dangerous, yes, but he was not the one willing to put you into this situation. But he's content with seeing you, feeling you, kissing you, even if it's only for a few short moments.
You had to stop a soft whine from leaving you with Brian's lips. But they quickly reunited with your forehead. You rubbed your face into his favorite hoodie, enjoying the silence, the moment of peace in these anxious times.
"I love you so much, and I'm sorry." He whispered. His facial hair scratched your temple when he repositioned his head against yours. He always forgot how tall he actually is until he has you in his arms.
"There's no need to be sorry, B." You pulled away slightly, pulling your arms from around his torso to rest them on his biceps. Jesus, his biceps? Were they always so big, or was it your memory playing tricks on you? What has he been doing?
"No, I-I am." He glanced, or at least what looked like one, from your eyes to your arms on his. Brian was still wearing the mask over his eyes. He must've known you were studying it, because as soon as you moved your hand Brian grasped your [S/C] fingers. "I am too."
"What's with the mask?" You didn't even process the 'too' part, as if someone else were apologizing as well.
"I like it." He smirked, the goofy smirk that you've come to know and love. The one he always greeted you with no matter the setting. The sight of it was home to you. And if you closed your eyes, you could almost feel like you're standing on your back patio with him. You shook off the gullible thought, knowing that's not going to happen anytime soon.
"Brian, come on, you know I have a thing about looking you in your ey-" "I'm not Brian." The smirk disappeared, and so did the color in your face. You tried to step back, but it was futile from the grip the man had on your arms and waist. You decided against struggling in fear of angering him.
You knew about his DID, from a few weeks before you two started dating. The idea of actually running into an alter terrified you for unknown reasons. It was like someone else was wearing your boyfriend's skin. "Then who am I talking to?"
"I haven't decided on a name yet." 'Brian's' voice dropped to a whisper, a dark whisper that sent a cold rush up your back and radiated through your arms. The man leaned down and met your forehead with his own, his lips just mere centimetres away from another kiss.
"You don't know it yet, but I'm going to make your life a living hell if you don't learn to love me back."

Luxury Home filled with Sculptures, Paintings and Different Types of Wall Art
As an interior design lover, you should always look for unique accessories when decorating a room or creating a tabletop landscape or vignette. Floor and table sculptures (skulpturer), whether abstract or realistic, bring an artistic weight to your home décor that may also be the key you are looking for. Whether it's for your coffee table, mantel, or bookshelf, place a decorative statue in your home for added style. Decorative statues (Dekorativa statyer) provide a great way to add an artistic touch to your decor. There are many ways to incorporate them into the decoration of a room.
Tumblr media
Whether you are creating a whole mood or around your home, the cherub and angel sculptures reflect tranquility and grace. Meanwhile, contemporary sculptures for home décor (skulpturer för heminredning) infuse a trendy vibe, like living in a modern art museum (museum för modern konst). Lastly, create an outdoor retreat that still feels like home with outdoor garden artwork. Take a look at these amazing examples of home statues (hemstatyer) and learn how to decorate with sculptures (skulpturer), making your home the most sophisticated art exhibit.
Decorative sculptures will provide a dramatic presence to your home décor.
Table and floor sculptures can evoke mythical sights and homey feelings alike with their stunning realistic details.
Many home decor sculptures (heminredningskulpturer) also explore a variety of human subjects. Sculptures (skulpturer) of love and family will remind you of those closest to your heart, while jazz musicians and interlocking dancers make the blood flow with musical figurines, just as cartoons can bring you back to your childhood.
First, look for a tabletop or floor sculpture that reflects your style. The decorative statues (dekorativa statyer) come in a variety of themes, shapes, and sizes.
Build new worlds or honor old ones. Let the decorative statues (dekorativa statyer) bring your home closer to distant places and heartfelt memories with their remarkable attention to detail.
In this austere but luxurious home, a Roy Lichtenstein sculpture sits near the fireplace.
Great art can be hard to come by, as anyone who has tried to fill their residence with lust-worthy works knows, but a room is often not complete until a statement-making piece finds its way inside. No matter how classic or playful, wall-mounted or tabletop, the works of prominent artists like Nick Cave, Roy Lichtenstein, Graham Caldwell, and Ai Weiwei completely steal the show. Here in the entry hall, a cascading lamp from Hudson Furniture hangs over the room, which features an eye-catching sculpture by Lexan Décor (iögonfallande skulptur av Lexan Décor).
Since the dawn of civilization, statues (statyer) have captured the imagination. While they may not serve a tangible function as other decorations do, these decorative designs do something just as important - they inspire. So take a look at your indoor and outdoor spaces. Are there any points that appear to be incomplete? Something that would do you good to cheer up? Decorative sculptures (Dekorativa skulpturer) may be your missing piece.
Designed a space where your imagination could spread its wings and fly over the ceiling. The presence of art furniture and modern sculptures (moderna skulpturer) reigns supreme in this luxury home and Inspiration and Ideas is all about bringing you the entire scoop on this contemporary design.
For the past several decades, the clientele of the designer duo ELLE Decor A-List has consisted primarily of art collectors, including the owners of this Palm Beach vacation home. The Washington, DC-based couple, who had hired the duo to design their home in the city, explained that they were looking for luxurious and timeless interiors in Palm Beach that would not compete with their paintings by Ai Weiwei and modern art sculpture by Jeff Koons.
Our old house was traditional in an old Florida sense, with lots of chintzes. We were ready for something different: a fancy beach house, ”says her wife, who loves hosting cocktails and dinners with her husband, a real estate developer.
Elegant décor, while also susceptible to colorful abstract artwork, mud footprints, and spilled drinks, was a difficult task, but one that the designers happily elevated to for this upscale home. Following the latest interior design ideas, Aman and Meeks employed their unique neutral-oriented, moderate palette throughout the home décor.
An abstract painting by Eddie Martinez is offset by a custom sofa in an Ultrasuede by Holland & Sherry and a 1960s side table by Gaspare Asaro. Custom Sisal Vinyl Carpet, Stark.
A brass Jay Specter chair is upholstered with a Larsen fabric, the lamp is vintage and the painting is by Valerio Adami.
He and Aman began by creating a better flow in the public spaces of the house. You enter a gallery from the hallway that opens onto the spacious living room, with a dining room, kitchen, and family room radiating to the sides. Serenity reigns in this luxury home (lyxigt hem) due to its soft and calming tones, but also because of the artist's side that the designers chose for this luxurious interior. Clients feel at home and want to come back any time they leave.
A Hubert Le Gall mirror hangs on the wall; sink fixtures are from Waterworks. The soap dish is from Tiffany & Co., the wallpaper is from Maya Romanoff, and the beaded crystal pendant originally belonged to Eleanor Roosevelt.
Different Types of Wall Art
Spruce up your home interior by placing wall art (vägg målning) pieces that resonate with your personality or pieces that you have created yourself. We present the different types of wall art (vägg målning) that you can display in your home.
No matter the type, I prefer walls with prominent artwork to bare ones. Today, it is common to find living rooms, dining rooms and other parts of the house with a particular wall art(vägg målning). Some even go as far as choosing a feature or accent wall for a complete accent wall.
The earliest pieces of wall art (vägg målning) have prehistoric origins such as cave paintings (grottmålningar), although it is believed that they served as a means of communication or as a religious device rather than a decorative one. They can be found on every continent except Antarctica and date back 40,000 years with wild animals as a common theme.
We now have cool murals hand painted with airbrushed and digitally printed wall art (vägg målning) as the most affordable alternatives. Murals, as well as graffiti street art, are considered bona fide art forms.
Sculpture
Tumblr media
Sculptures (Skulpturer) are a great way to add visual interest to your wall when you don't want to add a picture or painting (bild eller målning). Because they are three-dimensional, they will appear to come off the wall and can really enhance a room. Look for a sculpture that is large enough to attract the attention of people entering the room, but not so large that it appears to take up the entire wall. This is especially important if your new sculpture (skulpturer) appears to be detaching from the wall, as you don't want it to visually overwhelm the room.
Photography
Tumblr media
This is a classic type of wall art (vägg målning) and one that you will generally see in every home you enter. While many people love to fill the walls of their home with photographs they have taken, there are amazing photographs that you can purchase printed on quality paper to use as art. This type of wall art (vägg målning) is much more realistic than other types, as they are real images from around the world and not just an artist's impression of what he is seeing.
Decals
Vinyl decals have become very popular recently as people have realized how easy it is to put them on the wall and remove them later when they no longer want them there. With options ranging from soccer players and kitchen art to entire nursery room designs, it's easy to find decals to fit the style of your home. They're less expensive now than in the past, and since they don't require you to drill any holes in the wall, they're a great option for families renting a house or apartment. As with other wall art (vägg målning), they can be used over and over in different places around the house, making them cost-effective too.
Wall Panels
Tumblr media
For large-scale art that spans the length of a room or wall and can actually be hung in a corner, you'll want to go for wall panels. These will make you feel like you are in an art museum as they are very large and can really dominate a space. Look for wall panels that can span an entire wall if you want to make a statement, as they tend to look a bit out of place when surrounded by smaller pieces of art.
Posters
Posters are incredibly popular in certain settings, such as bedrooms, first apartments, or home theater. They are made of thin paper and can be easily rolled up and stored when not in use. If you want your poster to last a long time, you will want to mount it on a hard backing or frame it right away, as thin paper can be easily damaged. You can buy posters of all styles. It is very popular with people to have posters of their favorite musicians or to buy prints of famous artists. When it comes to much larger art, posters are very inexpensive and therefore ideal for people who are on a budget but want to outfit their home with wall art (vägg målning).
Prints
Prints are incredibly popular and allow anyone to have a copy of their favorite painting (favoritmålning) without having to purchase the original. Of course, when you opt for a print, it is important to understand that it is very possible that you will see the exact same piece of wall art (vägg målning) in someone else's home. If that doesn't bother you, prints can be your best option to decorate your home and fill your walls. They come in all sizes, colors, and themes, and it's usually very easy to find prints to match your home décor.
Mirrors
Tumblr media
While it is not usually considered art, when you buy beautiful mirrors (köp vackra speglar), you can enjoy them for their artistic appearance, as well as their usefulness and function. Find a mirror (Speglar) that is large enough for easy use and has a thick decorative frame as well. This will allow you to make your room appear larger, as the mirror (speglar) will reflect the light and also help bring the colors and design of the room together.
Tapestries
Tumblr media
Made from woven materials, this type of wall art (vägg målning) usually does not come in a frame, but is instead hung loosely from a rod that runs the length of the top. You can opt for tapestries that are woven to show a beautiful design or, if you wish, choose one that shows a landscape or other image. Because they are often very large, you will need an open wall to display them on to make sure they look their best.
Wood
Wood is becoming increasingly popular for wall art (vägg målning), although some people want the texture and weight of the wood, but prefer the grain and color of the real wood to be fully painted. If you want to enjoy the warmth of wood in your home, look for options with exposed grain. This can create a beautiful contrast when the wood is painted or printed.
Metal
Metal is becoming increasingly popular as a material for wall art (vägg målning) because it makes such a statement. Metal wall art (vägg målning) is generally very large and bold and can give your home an industrial feel if left raw, rough, and exposed. For a more modern or contemporary look, look for metal art that has been finished and is smooth. When integrated with other decor in your home, metal wall art (vägg målning) can bring a room together, keep it from being too drab, and give it a talking point. When opting for metal wall art (vägg målning), you will want to go for large pieces as they will be able to support the greater weight of the metal. Smaller pieces tend to look clunky and not as high-quality as larger pieces.
Canvas
Art that has been produced on canvas will weigh more and feel of higher quality than art that is printed on thin paper. While you can easily print photos and posters in large sizes, if you want something oversized or particularly eye-catching for your home, you'll want to opt for artwork that has been printed on canvas. Noise details will be muted when you hang a canvas on the wall, and these pieces will allow you to enjoy very large prints without worrying about loss of detail and appearance. Of course, canvas is heavier than regular paper, so make sure you use the right hardware to hang your new canvas so you don't have to worry about it falling off the wall. Also, be careful when handling the canvas because you can puncture it if you drop the canvas or try to catch it by grabbing it by the middle.
Hand Painted
For a very special piece of wall art (vägg målning) that is unique, look for something that is hand painted. Of course, you will have to spend more money on this type of artwork, but the cost will be well worth it, as you can be sure that no one else will have the same artwork in their home as you. When you buy hand-painted wall art (köp handmålad väggkonst), you can know that you are supporting an artist and that you will have an original piece in your home that is sure to spark interest and conversation.
Framed
If you don't want to have to worry about finishing your wall art (vägg målning) after purchasing it, you will want to buy wall art (köp vägg målning) that has already been framed. This means that as soon as you receive the wall art (vägg målning) in your home, you can go ahead and hang it up. If you are short on time or really want to finish decorating your home, you will definitely want to purchase framed art as it will speed up how quickly you can hang your artwork.
Personalized
For art that will not only be different from any type of art you will see in someone else's home, but will also be special to the recipient, opt for something that is personalized. You can easily find personalized wall art (vägg målning) with an initial, a name, or a special date, such as a wedding or birthday. While any gift of wall art (vägg målning) is nice, when you choose something personalized, it really stands out. These pieces offer a great way to commemorate a special event and celebrate it every day.
Set
Sometimes you want wall art (vägg målning) that looks great together, but you don't have the time or inclination to search for individual pieces yourself. If you are on this ship, you can greatly benefit from purchasing a set of works of art. This means that all of the included artwork will not match perfectly, but will have enough of the same elements to make them look great together. This gives you a quick and easy way to decorate your home.
Indoor/Outdoor
Wall art (vägg målning) should not only be enjoyed indoors. Make sure you can enjoy your favorite art outside too when you opt for pieces that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This type of wall art (vägg målning) is created to withstand the elements and is a great way to decorate a porch or deck.
Floral and Plant
Tumblr media
One of the most popular styles of wall art (vägg målning) is natural and floral. Flowers are naturally beautiful, and since they come in so many colors, you can easily choose floral wall art (vägg målning) that will pick up pops of other colors in your decor. Look for artworks that showcase your favorite flowers so you can enjoy viewing them all year long.
Coastal
Even if you don't live near the beach, you can still enjoy the soft colors and beautiful scenery that are common in coastal life. With coastal art, you will find soft, muted colors like blues and browns, as well as many water scenes. This type of wall art (vägg målning) is very relaxing and looks great in homes that display muted colors; don't expect to find coastal art that is brilliant.
Metallic
You can easily add a touch of sparkle or glamor to your home when shopping for metallic art. Unlike metal art, which is not always shiny and shiny, metallic wall art (vägg målning) can be a sculpture or a canvas, but the result will be the same. Bright metallic colors will liven up a room and look great in any home.
Animal
Tumblr media
If you want to bring nature into your home and you have a favorite animal, buying animal wall art (köpa djur vägg konst) is a great option. You are also not limited to animal paintings (djurmålningar), as 3D sculptures of animals or birds can add a lot of interest to the walls of your home. The best thing about animal art is that it appears alive.
Farmhouse
The decoration of a farm looks great in houses located in the countryside and is also appreciated by people who grew up on a farm and want to remember how it felt. Look for graphic prints of animals to really bring the farmhouse feel indoors.
Vintage
To add a vintage touch to your home without having to make a big commitment to furniture, wall art (vägg målning) is a great option. These pieces will stand out for their muted colors, strong lines and the feeling they evoke.
Classic
Tumblr media
Strong lines and themes that are easily identifiable are sure signs that you've chosen a classic work of art. This type of art will look great in almost any home, but it will look especially wonderful in contemporary homes that feature strong lines and solid colors in furniture and bedding.
Modern and Abstract
Tumblr media
When you want art that makes people stop and think, look for something abstract. This type of art does not always have a clearly defined theme and can be open to interpretation by all who see it. Not only can paintings (tavlor) be abstract, but sculptures (skulpturer) can be too.
Kitchen Wall Art Ideas
Tumblr media
Kitchens are one of the most difficult rooms for wall art (vägg målning) because there is often not much space on the wall. Cabinets and backsplash take up much of the wall surface.
Bathroom Wall Art
Tumblr media
You can have fun with wall art (vägg målning) in the bathroom. As in the kitchen, there is usually not much wall space, but with what little you have, you can incorporate quotes, pictures, shelves of ornaments, and more. We have an extensive list of ideas.

How to Transition a Baby’s Bedroom Into a Big-Kid Room Effortlessly
LA Closet Design
Making way for your baby big girl’s or boy’s bed means it’s time for the crib to go (sob). And now that your baby’s older, the nursery could use an update, too. But transitioning to an older kid’s room doesn’t have to mean a complete overhaul every few years.
“As much as you might want to deck out your child’s space in all their favorite colors and patterns, it’s important to understand your child will grow—and her interests will be ever-changing in these early years,” said Lisa Adams of LA Closet Design in Los Angeles.“Encourage this, and let your child discover her personal style by creating a space she can grow into.”
“The room should emanate a sense of comfort and ease through a soft and dreamy landscape filled with imagination and freedom, but should also keep in line with the child’s own interests,” said Lauren Reik an Interior Designer based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
“You also want to make sure the furnishings are adapted to the child’s size and ability to instill a sense of confidence and control over her own space,” Ms. Reik said.
Here, more advice from the pros for creating a child’s room to grow.
Streamline storage
“I love to incorporate floating shelves on the walls around the room. These will elevate the space with a custom touch, and will continue to be useful as your child grows and her storage needs change. I also like to implement mirror-mounted rods and hooks for functional storage with a playful flair—while making the space feel bigger. Cabinets for hanging jewelry and accessories can also be compact and allow you to see what you have more easily.
” I often see children in adult-height closets and wonder why they aren’t putting back their things; they often can’t reach or don’t know where to put things back. The closet height should be designed/adjusted for the child in mind, so hanging heights, shoe shelf heights, and hampers will be easily accessible.
“Also consider repurposing nursery furniture. Changing tables can be repainted/refinished with new decorative hardware, creating a refreshed bureau and landing space in the room. If you don’t need the drawers, these can easily be swapped for shelves, providing additional storage for books and accessories as storage needs change.”
— Lisa Adams of LA Closet Design in Los Angeles
Create a fluid design
“Opt for clean lines and a gentle color scheme with delicate wallpaper and soft, neutral tones.
“Lighting is very important especially for the varying needs of children—good, gentle lighting for the quieter hours as well as natural overhead lighting for playtime. I love elegant and artistic lighting pieces.
“An open, generous space for movement and playing is elementary for the child. There seems to be a tendency to overcrowd a child’s room. I prefer to leave the space open and relatively free of clutter to be purposely minimalistic. It is also nice to lay a soft, easily cleanable rug to allow for comfortable floor play.”
— Lauren Reik, Tel Aviv-based interior designer
Decorate for the long term
“If you want to get some longevity out of your nursery investment, then limit the ‘theme’ items to inexpensive art, bedding, accessories and rugs. Choose wall and window treatments that can transition as they grow so you aren’t constantly updating the entire room. It’s best to stay away from juvenile prints and opt for more sophisticated wall coverings and fabrics that have a youthful vibe but are not age specific.
“Wall-mounted octagonal boxes in fun colors can make book storage look super chic. These also work well for the many ‘collections’ kids can’t seem to part with.
“I’m also a big fan of wall coverings. Some hot trends are large scale florals or butterflies, Chinoiserie prints in fresh color combinations, and graffiti art. If you want an accent wall, make sure your other walls blend with the colors in the wall covering. And don’t forget about the ceiling. It’s a great opportunity to add color, or even put your wallpaper there instead of on the walls.
“In terms of artwork, choose something that transcends age limitations and go for more of an all-ages whimsical style your child can grow with.”

Where To Eat And Drink In Back Bay added to Google Docs
Where To Eat And Drink In Back Bay
It was pretty bold for mid-19th century Boston to look at a stinking swamp on the edge of the city and decide to build the North American version of Paris on it. But that’s exactly what we did. With tree-lined boulevards, a riverfront park, and a name that no one can decide whether to put “the” in front of, Back Bay is the most impressive neighborhood in Boston.
But whether it’s because there are too many hotels, fancy buildings with giant glass lobbies, or luxury condos that house overseas investment funds instead of actual people, the restaurants and bars in Back Bay can be frustrating. It’s just too easy to end up at a mediocre restaurant, and there are surprisingly few casual places to relax with a drink. Our most impressive neighborhood still has room for improvement. But if we can get more places like the 17 spots below, we’ll be getting somewhere.
THE SPOTS Natalie Schaefer Saltie Girl $ $ $ $ Seafood  in  Back Bay $$$$ 281 Dartmouth St. 8.6 /10
With only a bar and four booths, it’s hard to get into Saltie Girl. But as Jimmy Duggan said, the hard is what makes it great. While waiting an hour for a barstool on a Monday night might not be ideal, Saltie Girl makes up for it with a seafood menu that’s consistently fantastic from crudo and sushi to fried clams and waffles. The fact that it’s always packed and feels like a party at all hours doesn’t hurt, either.
Dirty Water Dough Company $ $ $ $ Pizza  in  Back Bay $$$$ 222 Newbury St 7.3 /10
If you aren’t collecting rental income from foreign investors, then dropping $100 on lunch for one (which is possible at many Back Bay restaurants) is less than ideal. Eating an affordable but mediocre meal is also not a great solution, which is why you should head over to Dirty Water Dough on Newbury. There’s lots of good pizza here, all on a thin, crispy crust made with IPA. If you decide to go for a whole pie (there are slices too), you’ll have interesting options to choose from - like the ones topped with mac and cheese or cola-marinated steak.
Tina Picz Red White Japanese Restaurant $ $ $ $ Japanese ,  Vegan  in  Back Bay $$$$ 294 Newbury St Not
Rated
Yet
It’s hard to know what to think of the vegan menu the first time you step into Red White. Despite there being only a few options to choose from at this fast-casual spot, the menu layout can make things a little confusing. We’ll just make it easy for you - order the Buddha ramen, and add the miso-seasoned avocado. The noodles have the right amount of bite, and the broth is satisfyingly rich and flavorful, especially when you consider there’s no meat in it. Better yet, there’s never a line here, unlike at nearby Santouka.
 Natalie Schaefer Puro Ceviche $ $ $ $ Latin ,  Seafood ,  Tapas  in  Back Bay $$$$ 264 Newbury St 7.7 /10
Puro might be too cool for Newbury Street. The people shopping for $3,000 antique tea sets usually don’t go in for graffiti murals and pisco sours. But if that sounds like your thing, head to this tiny subterranean spot between Fairfield and Gloucester. It feels like a pop-up underground art gallery that happens to have a great menu of Latin small plates to go with a strong selection of ceviche. Our favorite is the mixto, which gets you red snapper, shrimp, and octopus in one dish.
 Natalie Schaefer Uni $ $ $ $ Japanese  in  Back Bay $$$$ 370 Commonwealth Ave 8.6 /10
Would you like to cook wagyu beef on a tableside hot rock? The answer to that question probably depends on how you feel about pricey cow parts on one hand, and how much confidence you have in your ability to not burn yourself on the other. Either way, Uni on Comm Ave is worth visiting. It’s a stylish izakaya, with a great hip hop soundtrack, that could host the even more exclusive after party to an already exclusive party you didn’t get invited to. The menu is filled with exciting dishes that taste as good as they are fun. The sushi selection and small plates are very good, and you can’t go wrong with a place that serves late-night ramen.

In what’s essentially the basement of the SuitSupply store on Newbury, you’ll find Cafe Susu - a cool coffee shop complete with a green velvet couch and matching leafy wallpaper. There’s surprisingly good coffee here, cocktails and beer are served throughout the day, and the wifi is also relatively fast. So you can foreseeably work remotely with a cappuccino in one hand and an Aperol Spritz in the other, right alongside tailors that are hemming suits - making it one of the most unique spots in the city.
Natalie Schaefer Moon Bar $ $ $ $ Seafood  in  Back Bay $$$$ 304 Stuart Street Not
Rated
Yet
There are actually three different venues at this seafood spot on Stuart Street: Mooncusser Fish House is the white tablecloth seafood spot upstairs, Moon Bar is its cool, younger sister with the nose ring downstairs, and Cussers is the takeout window that operates for lunch. We like Moon Bar best, in part because it’s shaped like a triangle and covered with steel surfaces, so it kinda feels like drinking on a spaceship. You can get a lot of the same things from the Mooncusser menu here, but we like this place for drinks and snacks like the scallop poke or tuna burger with ginger and mustard.
Natalie Schaefer Bukowski Tavern $ $ $ $ Bar Food ,  Burgers  in  Back Bay $$$$ 50 Dalton St
Don’t call Bukowski on Dalton Street a dive - call it a place that’s seen a lot of love. Besides, despite the fact that it’s covered in grease, named after one of literary history’s greatest drunks, and only accepts cash, it isn’t really a dive - not with the extensive selection of craft beers on tap, anyway. The menu consists of standard bar food, but the burgers are pretty good as far as greasy bar burgers go.
 Natalie Schaefer Asta $ $ $ $ American  in  Back Bay $$$$ 47 Massachusetts Ave 7.8 /10
Why is Ryan Gosling hanging out in the bathroom of Asta on Mass Ave? We’re not sure we’ll ever find out since he exists only in movie poster form, but we suspect he likes it because it’s the rare fine dining restaurant that also feels casual and cool, just like him. This is a tasting menu place with dishes like buttered turnip and venison with rutabaga mash. And while it’s correspondingly expensive (five courses for $85, eight for $110), it manages to feel like a comfortable neighborhood spot thanks to walk-in-ability, a lively counter overlooking the kitchen, and playful touches like aforementioned Gosling poster and a mural of Thor in the dining room (the real one, not the Hemsworth one).
Casa Romero $ $ $ $ Mexican  in  Back Bay $$$$ 30 Gloucester St Not
Rated
Yet
Normally you should stay away from alleys - there’s like a 30% chance that Robert Shaw will emerge from a cloud of steam and try to stab with you a switchblade every time you step into one. But Casa Romero is a great argument for living a little dangerously. In the alley off Gloucester in between Newbury and Comm Ave, you’ll find cucumber margaritas, tacos with an awesome citrus slaw, and a hidden patio with lanterns and hanging plants.
 Tina Picz Select Oyster Bar $ $ $ $ Seafood  in  Back Bay $$$$ 50 Gloucester St 7.8 /10
Select is a New England oyster bar that doesn’t serve clam chowder. We love clam chowder, but we also respect some good iconoclasm every now and then. Besides, the rest of the menu is strong enough on its own. The scallop ceviche is a great way to start any meal, and the cauliflower with hazelnut aioli is a fantastic option if you’re looking for something that didn’t come from the sea. It’s a funky place with weird art on the wall, a good sized bar, and a back patio, so come here the next time you want a drink and some oysters.
Parish Cafe & Bar $ $ $ $ Bar Food ,  Sandwiches  in  Back Bay $$$$ 361 Boylston St 7.6 /10
You can spend your life going to every great restaurant in Boston, or you can go to Parish Cafe and say you did, because the menu at this gastropub is filled with sandwiches created by chefs from some of the city’s best spots. We’re fans of The Bravas from the people behind Sarma that has prosciutto, chorizo, manchego, brussels sprouts, and a bunch of other ingredients you’ll have trouble believing fit onto one bun. Try to get here in the summer, too, when they have a patio that spills out onto Boylston.
 Natalie Schaefer Cornish Pasty $ $ $ $ Bar Food  in  Back Bay $$$$ 51A Massachusetts Ave 7.5 /10
We understand if you’re hesitant to say “let’s go get a pasty” out loud. But if you can work out some kind of hand signal situation with your friends, you should head to this tiny pub on Mass Ave that looks like it was directly transported here from Cornwall. Grab a seat in one of their wooden booths and order a beer and a pasty, which turns out to be not a sexual favor but a kind of English empanada filled with everything from bangers and mash to chicken tikka masala.
Natalie Schaefer The Salty Pig $ $ $ $ Bar Food ,  Pizza ,  Pasta ,  Italian  in  Back Bay $$$$ 130 Dartmouth St Not
Rated
Yet
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen anyone use the four food groups guidelines, but if our memory serves, pizza was one group, and charcuterie was another. Salty Pig’s got both of them covered, and it does so in a cool space that feels kinda like a mix between a bar and a pizza place. Depending on which map you look at, this place could technically be in the South End, but they have enough great spots already, so we’re giving the pizza with merguez sausage, goat feta, and arrabiata sauce to Back Bay.
 Bistro Du Midi $ $ $ $ French  in  Back Bay $$$$ 272 Boylston St 7.5 /10
There are a lot of French restaurants in the neighborhood, but with a dining room overlooking the public garden upstairs, a casual bistro at street level, and a menu with things like duck breast served with chamomile duck jus, Bistro du Midi is our favorite. It’s pricey and fancy, but absolutely worth it for a special occasion, or any time you want to look out at the garden while eating kobe beef tartare.
Natalie Schaefer Summer Shack Boston $ $ $ $ Seafood  in  Back Bay $$$$ 50 Dalton St Not
Rated
Yet
When a menu has an entire section dedicated to lobster, you should probably get the lobster. That’s the case at Summer Shack on Dalton, a casual spot with nautical lamps hanging from the ceiling and a pan roasted lobster with bourbon and chives that you have to try. The rest of the menu is solid, too, and it’s open for lunch.
Sorellina Sorellina $ $ $ $ Italian  in  Back Bay $$$$ 1 Huntington Ave Not
Rated
Yet
Weirdly, there are very few Italian restaurants in Back Bay. But when you have one as good as Sorellina, you don’t need too many others. This place is pricey and a little stuffy, with a crowd that seems to be made up primarily of partners from one of the law firms headquartered nearby. But it has high-end pasta dishes we love, particularly the maccheroncelli with meatballs and Montepulciano sauce.

Bold Tapestry Florals
Seasonal florals take inspiration from heritage interiors with bold oversized wallpaper prints and tapestry techniques. Large blooms borrow from eras past, with period styling and edged in gold. Stephen Powers
Stephen Powers, known for his graffiti artwork which he started when he was 16, would tag places in Philadelphia with ‘ESPO’ which stands for  "Exterior Surface Painting Outreach" but is also an acronym for his initials ‘S PO’. He was arrested for his graffiti and was charged with 6 offences in 1999.
His artwork is always large scale and can span across the entire length of some buildings (with permission). They’re always very colourful pieces and more often than not portray a message in a relaxed, colourful and playful way. The idea of using colour to appeal to the viewer is genius because it catches your eye and really makes you read it and think about the message behind it.
On Powers website, there are two gallery sections:
Indoor voice - Showing images from all of the work he’s done inside buildings, walls, floors, ceilings, etc. Outdoor Voice - Showing all of the work he’s created outside buildings. again on walls, trucks, lampposts, etc.
The thing that drew me to Powers work was the boldness and the way he can turn any message into something aesthetically pleasing. The fact its large scale also helps get the message across because no one can miss it. The different style of fonts he uses in different pieces make each piece unique and different from the next, it's very exciting and intriguing to find out what is coming next.
His style of bold slogans and large-scale work on industrial sites is what inspired my work on the whitewashed wallpaper.
