On reste à Paros pour une cinquième journée...

Nous étions censés quitter Paros ce midi afin de nous rendre à notre dernière destination : Santorini. Comme on nous l’avait laissé entendre hier soir, les conditions météo sont trop mauvaises pour que des traversiers, bateaux de croisière et même des avions n’arrivent ou ne partent d’ici. Et ces conditions pourraient se prolonger pendant quelques jours... on ne sait donc pas quand nous pourrons partir. Il est possible que nous ne puissions pas du tout aller à Santorini, qui se trouve tout de même à 3 heures de traversée d’ici. On vit au jour le jour, au gré de la météo. Apparemment, ce genre de situation est fréquent ici en septembre et octobre. Sauf que nous, on ne le savait pas... tant qu’à être coincé, j’aime mieux l’être ici qu’à Mykonos, où il y a pas mal moins de choses à faire et à voir. Paros est la quatrième plus grande île des Cyclades. Et elle est très jolie. Ce n’est donc pas si pire.

Lorsque nous avons eu la confirmation que nous ne partirions pas aujourd’hui, vers 9 h 30, Robert est allé louer un quad pour la journée. Cela nous a permis d’aller explorer les parties de l’île que nous n’avions pas eu le temps de voir.

Après une randonnée dans le parc naturel de Paros, nous sommes retournés manger dans le village de pêcheurs de Nassoua. Je me suis acheté un foulard dans une boutique, car il faisait réellement froid en moto.

Après le lunch, les vents soufflaient encore plus fort. C’était hallucinant! On a décidé de revenir par le côté sud de l’île pour éviter d’avoir le vent dans le visage.

Nous avons fait un stop dans le village de Piso Livadi afin de donner une chance au conducteur. Il ne sentait plus son pouce, car il doit constamment appuyer sur le gaz. Nous avons enfin trouvé un restaurant qui sert des loukoumades, pâtisserie locale qui nous avait été fortement recommandée par Béatrice, qui en avait mangé lors de son voyage en Grèce au secondaire.

J’ai suggéré à Robert qu’on s’achète du fromage, pain, olives, jambon et vin, bien sûr, et qu’on mange tranquillement à la chambre, sur notre balcon. Ça ne me tente pas ce soir de descendre au port et tenter de trouver un restaurant. Et on est tellement plein avec le dessert de BB, qu’on aura pas besoin d’un grand festin pour nous contenter.

C’est donc à suivre pour demain... les paris sont ouverts. Paros ou Santorini?

On le saura vers 9 h 30 demain matin. Mais notre petit doigt nous dit qu’on sera encore ici une autre journée, car les vents sont vraiment violents.

On a pris le sentier 2 au parc de Paros. Les paysages vus sont époustouflants.

Nous sommes montés jusqu’au phare, tout en haut. Il fallait bien se tenir, car le vent nous poussait de tous les côtés. Rafales de 80 km/h.

Petit village de Piso Livadi. On y trouve plusieurs bons restaurants recommandés dans Trip Advisor.

Loukoumades. Genre de beignets frits, servis chauds, avec du miel dans le fond de l’assiette, ou du chocolat. Nous, on a pris le miel. Décadent!!!

Je fais mon blogue sur notre balcon. J’ai trouvé une couverture, j’ai mon gros chandail, et mon nouveau foulard. Il fait 19 degrés, mais avec le vent, on dirait qu’il gèle.

J’ai proposé qu’on rentre la table et les chaises dans la chambre. On mange du jambon de Crête, du fromage local, des olives et du vin de Paros. Dolce Vita!
