Laika Announces Cast for ‘Wildwood’
Laika Announces Cast for ‘Wildwood’ @LAIKAStudios #Wildwood
It’s no exaggeration to say that one of the best names in storytelling today is Laika! I’ve said it before, shouted it to the heavens, and will do so continuously and vigorously until the rest of the world sees it too. Which is why I couldn’t be more excited for their next release, Wildwood! (more…)

Conversation
Elwyn: They can’t make me admit France exists, right? Legally, that’s not allowed.
Elwyn: Sure, if France was REAL I’d say I liked it.
Elwyn: But who’s to say?
Richard: I think France isn’t real.
Peyton: Richard, you’ve been to France.
Bijou: I agree with Richard.
Peyton: Bijou, you are literally French.

THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING GILMORE GIRLS: S3/EP5/8 O CLOCK AT THE OASIS (PART 3) Aka SweaterPaws, Fake Fish, The Best Okuh Ever, And Jess Mariano Is A Waterlogged Infant Kitten
Parts 1 & 2 and all other episodes can be found in my pinned post.
Tumblr media
This scene of Rory overhearing an answering maching message from Dwight's irate wife combines two of AmyShermanPalladino favorite things: answering machines and (the voice of) Alex Borstein (Celine & Drella on GG, Suzie on Mrs Maisel. Also Lois on Family Guy). Gilmore Girls Producer: Attention, Gilmore Girls crew! It has come to my attention that our budget will not cover both Outdoor Landscaping Scenes and Fishtanks. Sacrifices will have to be made.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally she admits to herself that Dean is a serial killer. And casual swearing from Rory? Wow, what a delight to hear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
!!!SWEATER PAWS ALERT!!!!
What do the kids say? Unbothered. Moisturized. Flourishing? In my lane? Something like that. It's clearly a school day (since Rory is in her uniform) while it appears to be a rare day where Jess hasn't been scheduled to work in the Coffee Mines before school. Speaking of school, he's walking away from school instead of towards it and is not carrying any school supplies or a backpack. He looks happy. Just vibing in his ugly oversized clothing. Hopefully he looks up every so often so he doesn't walk face first into a lamp post.
Tumblr media
Or that.
Tumblr media
Blue Crush was a 2002 movie about a girl who surfs starring Kate Bosworth. Get it? Cause Rory is covered in water?
Tumblr media
Hey. Eyes up top, Pal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The floofy hair. The prominent draggy lip. The five o'clock shadow. Salty enjoys naming things she can see.
Tumblr media
How many of Jess' books have been ruined with water? 2 so far. The answer is 2.
And now...ladies and Gentlemen...I present the greatest Milo Okuh Ever Okuh'D:
Get you a man who will risk soaking himself and pretend he didn't assist you with turning off a sprinkler so your boyfriend Dean won't fly into a jealous rage over it. It brings a tear to ol Salty’s eye. The episode wraps up with Lorelai attempting to end the Peyton Sanders nonsense by apologizing to Emily and taking the blame for the entire incident. Silly Lorelai, she didn't consider "What would Emily Gilmore think?" first and foremost before agreeing to go on one date with a random guy. I mean, Lorelai declining a second date with Peyton could have caused Emily to lose rank in her Tea Party Circle with Peyton's mother or some nonsense like that, according to a ridiculous story Richard just told Lorelai earlier in the episode. Let me be clear here, in case the message got a little lost- I am 100% siding with Lorelai here. She should not have to grovel like this over something so meaningless.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOGWASH. Stop this right now Lorelai. Emily is standing just a few feet away and you're in a kitchen filled with many sharp knives and cooking implements. I'll look the other way. She even agrees to go on a second date with Peyton just to pacify Emily even though she just made it painfully clear how miserable it would make her to see this dude again. Emily is quite pleased seeing Lorelai's state of misery. Well, like I said earlier, you do only have a very small window of time before David Bowie stops performing forever, so go for it I guess. Take the tickets, then drop Hamm. Drop him like Rory dropped out of Yale. I have a final comment: Although by the end of this episode we don't see Rory at school, one would have to presume that after the sprinkler incident she either had to get on the bus and go to school sopping wet or go home and change and blowdry her hair and risk being very late to class. Either she gets reprimanded for showing up to school late or she gets reprimanded for the wet uniform and hair so she's screwed no matter what. If he didn't take an ounce of pity on Rory for her Hit By A Deer story, do you think Headmaster Charleston would buy some fantastical tale from Rory about her tardiness being due to a sprinkler, sweater paws, a neighbor with a board game fetish, and Dean the unabomber?

From the moment he laid eyes on her, Ransom’s world stopped. The sound of her laughter, the glow of her chestnut skin, the way her deep brown irises held his focus; he couldn’t choose his favorite of her attributes. He watched as she commanded the attention of the room as she regaled her guests with tales of her various adventures traveling the globe.
He was only nineteen when he met her that New Year’s Eve night. Ivy Kensington. She was thirty-eight and newly divorced. The poor bastard that let her slip through his fingers must be insane, Ransom thought to himself. He loved how lively she was, as if divorce was exactly what she needed to feel alive.
He doesn’t know what possessed him that night to walk right up to her but, God help him, he thanks his lucky stars that he did. As he approached her, his hopes were high. Until she noticed him, turning to acknowledge the younger man. When he went to open his mouth, it flopped open and then closed after several seconds of awkward silence.
A grin spread across her face before she spoke, “You have got to be Linda and Richard’s son. Handsome like your father, and venturesome just like your mother. Now, what did you walk all the way over here for? Looked like you were about to say something interesting,” she teased, a hand going to her hip as she shifted on her feet.
“Ransom. That’s my name. Uh, I just…what I mean to say is, um-”
“Slow down, baby boy,” she soothed, stopping him mid-ramble to step closer so she could hold his chin between her manicured thumb and forefinger, “What did you want to say, Ransom?”
Her gaze drew him in, and he instantly felt at ease, gaining his voice back. “I wanted to know if you had plans for midnight, Mrs. Kensington. You know, the kiss?” he asks, voice trembling only slightly.
“It’s Ms. Kensington. You want to be my midnight kiss?” she questioned, tilting her head to the side as she looked up at him, “That is very bold of you to ask, especially coming from a virgin,” she said matter-of-factly.
His eyes widened and his brows shot up his forehead at the mention of his still intact virginity. Up to this point, no one knew he’d never been laid. He’d had his share of kissing, sure. Every time he wanted to go the distance, it never panned out. But how could she tell?
“You’re wondering how I know. You just have that look about you. Not necessarily innocent, more like naïve. And damn lucky that I don’t already have a kiss lined up. Meet me up there at midnight,” she instructed, peeking up the stairs to the area overlooking the party.
All Ransom could do was nod, for fear that opening his mouth would be a repeat of his earlier blunder.
“Now, shoo. I have other guests to entertain, and that precious face of yours will surely divert my attention,” she insisted, her hand patting his baby-faced cheek as she walked around him.
Ransom was left gobsmacked. He succeeded at talking to a woman. Well, he only succeeded with her help, but he’s not gonna mention that if anyone asks. For all intents and purposes, he’s arranged a secret rendezvous with an older woman. No elaboration was necessary, according to him at least.
For the next few hours, Ransom not-so-sneakily kept an eye on wherever Ivy went. He wouldn’t call it stalking her. He was just protecting his interests. He watched as man after man came up to Ivy, crowding her personal space. Ransom was seething quite visibly until he saw how elegantly she dispatched each potential suitor, politely letting them down and sending a look his way to let him know she saw him in the crowd.
He stopped sneering as much after that. She could handle herself just fine without him lurking. He knew that now, but it didn’t stop his eyes from searching for her the rest of the night.
As 9 turned into 10 and 10 turned into 11, he busied himself with sitting on one of the exquisite phthalo green velvet couches in the parlor. He looked at all the knickknacks that Ivy must have picked up on various excursions around the world. For a moment, he felt like he may be underwhelming to such an amazing woman. But he let that thought die as people started to count down from ten in the other room.
He moved swiftly through the crowd, taking the long staircase two steps at a time to get to the top where Ivy stands waiting for him. Standing in front of her, his focus tied to her and only her. As the partygoers counted down to 1, his hand snaked around her shorter form and pulled her close.
Their breaths mingled; body heat was shared between them. The instant their lips met; it was over. As if the entire party vanished, neither of them tried to keep the kiss innocent. Deepening the kiss, Ransom used his tongue to massage hers, eliciting a deep rumbling moan out of her as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Emboldened by his position, he let his hand slide down past the small of her back to her ample backside. Giving it a healthy squeeze, he sighed into the kiss when she tangled her fingers in his hair.
As Ivy broke the kiss, she rested her forehead against his as they both caught their breath. Ivy lifted her head and smiled as she saw her garnet-toned lipstick smeared across his lips. He looked thoroughly debauched between the makeup on his face and the state of his hair. This simply would not do.
At his furrowed brow, she removed herself from his embrace and took his hand in hers. Pulling him down the long hallway, they entered the master bedroom and made their way to the attached bathroom. He finally caught his reflection in the mirror as she grabbed a makeup wipe from the cabinet. She cleaned his face while holding his jaw as if she thought he would try and escape from her grip. His gaze stayed on her face the entire time.
It had been so long since someone cared for him in this way. He watched as she threw away the wipe in the trash and finger-combed through his hair, making him presentable once again. In a flash, he was in a trance, something he couldn’t put a finger on. He felt so safe with Ivy like she could tell him to do anything, and he would do it without question. He was so deep into subspace that he barely registered Ivy calling his name as he blankly stared at her.
“Ransom? Talk to me, baby,” she encouraged, the back of her hand sweeping down his cheek. His eyes closed as she administered the simple yet desirable touch.
His mouth opened as his tongue darted out to wet his lips, but no words followed his actions. Ivy guided him back to the bedroom to sit down on the King-sized bed. All the while, he remained focused on her.
“Alright, baby boy, you gotta help me out here. Where did you go? Come on back to Mommy,” she prodded, surprised when Ransom bit his lip at her use of the word Mommy. Her eyes grew dark, and she understood instantly what he needed from her.
She instructed him to lay back on the bed and he did so promptly. The tent in his pants highlighted his arousal as she climbed over his lap. His hands moved on their own to pull her hips flush with his, but she swatted them away.
“Ask for permission to touch Mommy, baby boy,” she directed, her hands ghosting over his chest as he breathed shallowly.
“May I please touch you, Mommy?” he begged, his fists clenching and unclenching at his sides.
“After being so polite, how can I say no to my baby boy?” she conceded, reaching up to let the top of her dress down so her breasts could spill out, “You may touch Mommy, baby.”
“Thank you, Mommy,” he mewled, gripping one breast in each hand as she sat down on his clothed cock.
She felt his length and girth with how hard he was. He felt the heat coming from her pussy as she ground into him. They both felt the intensity in the air surrounding them. When Ivy leaned down to let Ransom suckle her breast, he did so with a little too much enthusiasm at first. Once he got into a rhythm, he relished that he was able to pull soft whines from her.
Soon enough, he began to feel the tightening chokehold of his impending orgasm. He stopped sucking on her tits and chased after his inevitable end. But he was interrupted by Ivy’s words and the abrupt halt of her hips.
“Baby boy, if you want to cum tonight, you’re gonna need to make Mommy cum first. Is that understood?” she challenged.
“Yes, Mommy,” he sputtered, groaning when she started to grind into him again.
She rode him like her life depended on it, and honestly, when an orgasm was on the horizon, it felt pretty on the nose. He watched her face as she succumbed to the continuous poking of the tip of his dick into her swollen nub. He coveted the way her legs tightened around him, imagining what it would feel like to be inside her when she cums.
That thought proved to be overwhelming and while she was coming down from her high, he followed right after her. Like waves crashing into a pier, his climax washed over him. White-hot heat rushed through his cock as it spilled his jizz inside his pants. Ivy, in all her glory, never stopped riding him as he came. Even as it became too much and he whimpered for her to stop, she only slowed down. She enjoyed it so much, watching him fall apart under her.
As a tear escaped his eye, she let up on her cruel punishment of his overworked length. She removed herself from his lap and crawled up the bed to take him in her arms. His breathing had calmed down and he laid his head against her chest, idly sucking on one nipple as he lay there. He looked up into her eyes and she smiled down at him, effortlessly putting him at ease.
They stayed that way until Ransom started to squirm in her arms, surely not enjoying the way his cum was starting to dry against his skin. She cleaned him up in the bathroom, her mouth gaping open when she finally caught sight of the sheer size of his cock. If she was ever going to get to ride it, she would need a lot of prep. He put a hand over hers when she unconsciously began to pump his soft penis.
She thought he had been trying to get her to stop but was surprised when he only wanted to change the pace of her hand. He threw his head back when she tightened her fist and knelt in front of him. Watching her through heavy-lidded eyes, he babbled nonsense for a moment until his balls drew up and he shot milky ropes into her waiting mouth. His hands went to her shoulders and unsteady legs doing their best to hold him up after blowing his load twice.
He had heard of post-nut clarity, but he was experiencing something completely different. Perhaps akin to love, but not as deep. He watched as she swallowed, warmth spreading through his chest. Maybe he was wrong, feeling more and more entranced by Ivy with every second they spent together.
She fixed her dress and her lipstick, leaving the red smudges on his cock with a smile as she zipped him up. She took him further down the hall to a hidden stairwell that led into the kitchen. They had evaded any prying eyes from partygoers, making it seem like they had been in this room the whole time.
Famished from earlier activities, they munched on hors d’oeurves and made comfortable small talk. All earlier nervousness was a distant memory as they laughed and carried on like two lovesick teenagers.
Well, like one lovesick teenager and a grown-ass woman. At this point, age was nothing but a number. A number that neither of them cared about. They exchanged numbers, making a point to see one another again.
Eventually, they made it back into the party. Ivy made sure to say a lengthy farewell to Ransom’s parents, praising them for raising such a gentleman much to the shock of Richard and Linda, but they recovered gracefully. Shortly thereafter, the Drysdales made their exit.
During the car ride home, Richard joked that Ransom had a schoolboy crush on Ivy. ‘If they only knew,’ he thought to himself.
Over the rest of his winter break from college, Ransom spent more and more time with Ivy where she taught him tip after hint after trick about pleasing a woman. It was less out of the goodness of her heart and more about the kismet between them. She enjoyed his banter as much as his body. He loved coming to her place for a home-cooked meal and the company of a woman who thought the world of him.
When the winter break ended, Ransom spent his last night in town with Ivy. Of course, his parents showed barely any interest in the fact that he was leaving early or who he was spending his time with. In their eyes, he was not only an adult, but also no longer their problem.
Ransom had hoped that finally, Ivy would let him make love to her. But she felt a strange sense of moral obligation when it came to him losing his virginity. As much as she wanted to be his first, she didn’t want him to get even more attached to her. She knew he was in love, and if she let herself follow him, it would not end pretty. Better to end their little doomed romance now, before either of them could get hurt.
Explaining all of this to him went better than she expected. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, jaw tightening as he looked away from Ivy. She counted to five before reaching a hand to his shoulder, surprised when his hand covered hers.
Unshed tears shone in his eyes when he turned to look back at her again. Maintaining eye contact, he brought her hand to his lips to place a kiss on the back of her knuckles. He still relished the way her breath caught in her throat when he showered her with affection.
“No matter what happens, just remember this moment. It’s just us here, no one else. If this is the last moment we share, let’s make it worth it,” he pressed, praying for all the world that she would change her mind.
“Ransom, this isn’t exactly easy for me. I want you, please know that. But you deserve to have a relationship with someone. Perhaps, someone closer to your age. Someone with shared experiences. I would only be holding you back. That is my honest opinion,” she sniffed, continuing to reluctantly push him away.
“I won’t ever stop wanting you. You make me feel things I never thought were possible. I just wish I could give you a fraction of what you give me,” he lamented.
“Trust me, you have made an impact on my life. Who knows? Maybe one day down the line, we could get together and get a cup of coffee and laugh about this,” she hinted, hoping he would take her olive branch.
“I hope we can. I’m gonna hold you to it,” he beamed, a grin painting his features and replacing the sad look he once wore, “I should get going, I guess.”
“I’ll walk you out,” she said, standing and letting him lead the way.
She wasn’t surprised at all when he kissed her neck while hugging her. Nor when he predictably trailed kisses over her jaw and up to her lips. But she couldn’t hold back her delight when he nibbled at her bottom lip and soothed away the sting with his tongue.
For a moment, when he leaned back from her, they just looked into each other’s eyes. Nothing was said because words were unnecessary at this point. Every moment, every kiss, every shared laugh was worth it to be able to share this last long gaze.
As soon as Ivy closed the door behind Ransom, she slumped to the floor and cried her eyes out.
That night, as he drove home from Ivy’s estate, Ransom shed tears all the way back to his dorm room.

17 Years Later
Ransom is in town for a New Year’s Eve party thrown by his grandfather. He’s grown to loathe the damned holiday and it’s not a wonder why. He’s only there to make an appearance and swiftly leave before having to make awkward small talk with his parents. While sneaking into the kitchen to find the secret stash of cookies, he overhears a sound he hasn’t heard in so long but would recognize it anywhere.
He follows the source of the laughter and is astounded to see her standing and speaking to his grandfather. Entering the living room fully, he clears his throat and they both look at him. The look on Ivy’s face of pleased anticipation threw gasoline on a fire in his soul that he thought had long gone out.
“Ivy Kensington, I’d like to introduce you to my oldest grandson. Ransom Drysdale, meet Ivy,” Harlan remarks, not knowing that these two are very well-acquainted already. Harlan excuses himself, leaving them alone in the room.
“Ransom, I-”
“You look amazing,” he blurts, cutting her off before she can say anything.
They share a laugh, a moment of excitement and comfort between them. Staring into each other’s eyes told them everything they needed to know.
And as the partygoers start to count down from 10, they realize they have been sitting in the living room for hours exchanging stories of the past and what they were up to now. The worries they had once upon a time were all gone. All that was left was the sliver of opportunity that wafted in the air once they shared a kiss.
The passion was there as if it was still so many years ago. As if Ransom didn’t have laugh lines or crow’s feet when he smiled. As if Ivy wasn’t sporting a few perfectly groomed grey hairs sprouting about in her curls. As if that final goodbye wasn’t all that final.
And that was as good a place as any to start.

A/N: OK so this was my first time writing Ransom and I made him kinda soft as puppy toes in most of this. I hope you enjoy it.

Twin Peaks Extended Media
Whether it is for the lack of knowledge in mainstream Twin Peaks spaces regarding them or how some of these things are hard to get, the extended media of Twin Peaks but especially the books are constantly overlooked and ignored for various reasons.
I had done an (incomplete) index of it that blew up in my original account, and I had redone it (but as a more extensive guide that also included the order to watch the show). However, I changed my mind and decided to redo it, since the third time's a charm, right?
Most of these things include spoilers of the three seasons and the movie, so watch and read at your own risk.
AUDIOBOOKS AND COOPER'S TWIN PEAKS TAPES
The audiobooks consist of Laura's diary, the last two books narrated by cast members of the show, while Cooper's tapes were done by Kyle MacLachlan around the time the show was created, and (believe it or not) earned him a Grammy nomination for it.
Laura Palmer’s Diary (narrated by Sheryl Lee).
Diane: The Twin Peaks Tapes by Agent Cooper (narrated by Kyle MacLachlan).
The Secret History of Twin Peaks (narrated by Mark Frost, Len Cariou, Michael Horse, Mat Hostetler, Amy Shiels, Chris Mulkey, David Patrick Kelly, Robert Knepper, Kyle MacLachlan and James Morrison).
The Final Dossier (narrated by Annie Wersching).
BOOKS AND TEXT
Possibly the most overlooked section in Twin Peaks media. Mostly because some fanboys wrongfully think that because David Lynch didn't write them, it doesn't add to the story and canon, which is a wrong thing to say since these books were written by people involved in the show. Especifically, the writers wrote them and were given notes by Frost and Lynch.
The Secret History and The Final Dossier contain spoilers for the three seasons, so read them at your own discretion.
(*) Laura's diary and Cooper's autobiography are the only texts available in Glastonberry Grove. My recommendation is to copy the text and paste it on a google document, since the PDF has the pages ordered in a way you can later print it and build the book on your own.
The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (written by Jennifer Lynch)*: Laura's diary is written on the day of her 12th birthday, and ends on February the 23rd, 1989. The book (like Cooper's) is very graphic since Laura has to constantly face BOB in her dreams and in real life, and struggles with how others perceive her as well as harm herself in order to avoid BOB hurting the ones she loves. It does not include the missing pages of her diary.

Glastonberry Grove PDF + Text
Twin Peaks: Access Guide to The Town (by Gregg Almquist, Tricia Brock, Robert Engels, Lise Friedman and Harley Peyton with David Lynch, Mark Frost and Richard Saul Wurman): It's the hardest book to get from the books that were released in the nineties. The Access Guide is somewhat of a predecessor of The Secret History, since it includes some of the origins of Twin Peaks. However, the Access Guide also includes newspaper articles, a donuts recipe, and more fun stuff!
Link of the PDF (It won't show a preview because of how heavy the document is, so simply download it)
The Autobiography of Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes (written by Scott Frost)*: Cooper's autobiography starts in 1967 and ends on February the 24th, 1989. It featured short interviews from Cooper's friends and other people connected to him and transcripts from his tapes. Like Laura's, Cooper experiences tons of horrifying and sad things, from sexual abuse to murder so reader discretion is advised.

Glastonberry Grove PDF + Text
The Secret History of Twin Peaks (written by Mark Frost): A dossier of Garland Briggs that narrates the history of the town as well as the families that ahve stayed there, alongside relationships in the FBI, it includes letters, menus, classified FBI documents, drawings, fragments of books with notes done by Agent Tamara "Tammy" Preston.

The Final Dossier (written by Mark Frost): After the events of The Return, Gordon Cole assigns to Tammy the mission to interview people that were missing in The Return (Annie, Audrey, Donna, Harry, etc).

Star Pics Cards: A limited edition series of cards done by the writers of the show including the information of most of the characters, items and spaces featured on the first two seasons (With the exception of Denise Bryson).

Twin Peaks scripts: The scripts and transcripts for the first two seasons as well as other texts.

MISCELLANEOUS
Blue Velvet (dir. David Lynch, 1986): Some could say this is the predecessor of Twin Peaks, considering Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan), Sandy Williams (Laura Dern) and Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) are considered prototypes for Cooper, Diane and BOB by Dern, Lynch and MacLachlan. Set in a 50s ambiented town in North Carolina in 1984, Blue Velvet is about a 21 year old college dropout named Jeffrey Beaumont who finds an ear on his way home after visiting his hospitalized father. The movie includes three, very graphic scenes, so watch it at your own risk.
Blue Velvet trailer
Internet Archive link
Mulholland Drive (dir. David Lynch, 2001): Originally going to be an Audrey Horne spin-off for TV, Mulholland Drive is considered to be one of the best films done in history and the best of David Lynch's filmography by many alongside Blue Velvet, Fire Walk With Me and Lost Highway. After Rita (Laura Harring) survives a car accident on Mulholland Drive but suffers mass amnesia, she meets a up-and-coming star Diane (Naomi Watts) who's deeply intrigued about Rita's past, and together, try to solve the mystery of her past.
Mulholland Drive Trailer
Wrapped in Plastic Magazine: Released for the first time in October of 1992, Wrapped in Plastic Magazine is the most recognizable out of the Twin Peaks related magazines that exist since the start of the show. The issues include essays, theories and even interviews to the stars as well as issues dedicated to other shows and movies like The X-Files!
MUSIC
Music is also one of the most important things in the show (and also one of the best things), as it sets the mood and the personality of each character without having to say anything.
In Glastonberry Grove, you can find the music notations of Angelo Badalamenti for Laura’s theme, the music from the intro (also known as the Falling instrumental), Into The Night, Falling, Dance of the Dream Man, Audrey’s Dance and more.
Floating Into The Night (All of the songs but Mysteries of Love, I Float Alone, The Swan, Floating and I Remember are featured in the show) by Julee Cruise.
The first season Soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti
The second season Soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti (including unreleased tracks!).
The Double R Jukebox playlist I made taken from the Access Guide! It features most of the songs but since some of them aren’t on Spotify, you can also find it here.
The Fire Walk With Me Soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti, Julee Cruise and David Lynch.
The Return Soundtrack that features bands like Chromatics to singers like Rebekah del Rio and Eddie Vedder, as well as Julee Cruise and Angelo Badalamenti, of course.
PHOTOS, BEHIND THE SCENES AND DELETED SCENES
A Slice of Lynch: David Lynch interviews Kyle Maclachlan, Mädchen Amick and post-production supervisor John Wentworth to discuss about Twin Peaks.
A Talk with Kyle MacLachlan and Sheryl Lee: A preview of an interview Kyle and Sheryl did for the Twin Peaks: From Z to A boxset where they talk about Laura and Cooper.
COOP Visits the set of Twin Peaks: David Lynch, Frank Silva (BOB) and more thank the members of C.O.O.P. for helping save "Twin Peaks" after its close cancellation in 1991.
David Lynch interviews the Palmer family: What it says on the title! Lynch interviews Laura, Leland and Sarah 25 years after Laura's murder. This was done as a way to promote The Missing Pieces DVD, which are the scenes that were cut from Fire Walk With Me.
Fire Walk With Me (+deleted scenes, aka "The Missing Pieces"): The extended version of Fire Walk With Me that features the deleted scenes, considered by many the definitive cut of FWWM.
Fire Walk With Me discussed by David Lynch, Kyle MacLachlan and Sheryl Lee: An interview they did in 2003 where they talk about FWWM.
Georgia Coffee commercials: The Georgia Coffee commercials were a series of ads directed by David Lynch for a Japan only Coca-Cola line of canned coffee featuring Cooper and the police station trying to help a mysterious man named Ken, whose girlfriend is stuck in the Black Lodge.
Invitation to Love: In the show, Lucy, Nadine and other characters are obsessed with an exaggerated soap opera named “Invitation to Love”. You can see the whole show (16 minutes) here! The band Her’s named their album “Invitation To Her’s” after this parody.
Kyle MacLachlan Twin Peaks SNL parody: The Twin Peaks parody Kyle MacLachlan did in the episode he hosted of Saturday Night Live in late 1990.

Pick your most unpopular opinion about each of these shows (only if you want to!!): Degrassi, OTH, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Riverdale, That 70s Show, and Dawson's Creek :)
Degrassi:
This is so difficult because I feel like I've stated so many opinions in the past. Okay. I think the Degrassi nudes arc was theoretically really interesting from a psychological standpoint as well as how a survivor would cope after going through a very public sexual assault trial with the details of what happened to them being well known. Because it feels like something so human and yet so misguided, I don't view Zoe's role in it as harshly as others do. To be fair, the writers lost the plot. Literally. It got really sensationalized with blackmailing and cheerleader dolls and fake hostage situations. I also really hate how it turned into a Zoe vs Frankie situation with zero nuance. Their past involving Frankie being an unsupportive friend who victim blamed Zoe multiple times was never brought up once in lieu of Frankie being turned into Zoe's victim. So while I wouldn't say I like the arc itself, I feel like it had potential. The writers just weren't committed to seeing it through and let Zoe down as a character. The aftermath was really underwhelming and made the whole story line irrelevant.
OTH:
Even though I like the shooting episode for what it is, it's a pretty mediocre depiction of characterizing a school shooter. Following Jimmy's suicide, the writing consistently expects the audience to feel sympathy for him and remember him as a good guy who did one bad thing. It's to the point where the entire school ends up signing his high school yearbook. To be fair, a lot of the Jimmy romanticism came from Mouth, who had weird morals himself considering he was the show's resident incel. But beyond that, Jimmy quickly stops being the villain of the episode to orchestrate a scenario where Dan just happens to stumble upon Keith and a gun, giving him the opportunity to murder him. Also, every other scene features monologues given by the characters that are blatantly trying WAY too hard to be deep and profound. Not to mention this episode marked the official return of romantic Lucas/Peyton, but because Peyton was bleeding and supposedly didn't know any better she can't possibly be held responsible for selfishly making a move on her best friend's boyfriend in what she believed to be her last moments. Sorry, fuck that. Your last moments shouldn't include complicating things for two people you claim to care about. Especially not when you were the one who helped ruin their relationship the first time around, and you know for a fact that your best friend still has trust issues over what happened.
Also, Brooke was the love of Lucas's life. I'll die on this hill. Blame Chad Michael Murray's inability to stop giving his ex-wife heart eyes even during scenes post-Brucas, but it is what it is.
Gilmore Girls:
It's difficult to know what is or isn't popular in the Gilmore Girls fandom. I guess I'll say that Rory dropping out of Yale was the right decision? The way I see it, nothing bad was ever going to come out of that. Rory was in a transitional place where she was questioning a lot of her life decisions. She didn't currently feel up to attending school, so she took some time off. It was completely understandable, yet the narrative insists that this was indicative of Rory going down a bad path. I can understand Lorelai wanting Rory to take some time to make sure this was what she wanted but if anything, Lorelai's overreaction probably made Rory take even more time off from school. Had Rory had her mother and best friend in her corner, maybe she would have realized by the beginning of the next semester that she was emotionally ready to return to Yale. Just.. everything with Lorelai, Richard and Emily feeling as though they could force Rory to go back to school as though she was suddenly going to lose her place and never be able to return was stupid. Out of the two of them, Lorelai was the pettiest and most in the wrong during their estrangement. Lorelai was the parent. Lorelai chose not to tell her daughter she was engaged. Rory shouldn't have ever felt as though she couldn't come home until she basically did everything her mother wanted her to do. Considering Lorelai's own history with Emily, you'd think she'd realize that. But again, the writers made sure we knew how badly Rory was ruining her life and making bad decisions for committing the crime of taking a leave of absence from school and daring to try other things in the meantime.
Friends:
My opinions on the Ross/Rachel infamous "break" are all over the place. Technically, I think Ross is right that their relationship was no longer intact when he slept with another woman. Their communication absolutely sucked during this story line. No attempts at clarification were ever made. Ross just walked out when Rachel said she wanted a break, and Rachel let him. Honestly, I don't even think Ross sleeping with someone else so soon after splitting up from Rachel, in whatever form you consider that to be, makes him an asshole. In an ideal world where everyone makes rational decisions all the time, Ross wouldn't have coped with intense heartbreak by immediately sleeping with someone else. But it was a human reaction, and I don't fault him for that. What I do fault him for is hiding it the next day, running around town trying to stop other people from telling Rachel. It's all but admitting that Ross and Rachel were still emotionally connected and in the mindset of being in a monogamous relationship. Even if they technically weren't. What I also fault him for is being so stubborn and adamant on being right that he never admits fault or owns up to causing Rachel pain for several years after that. So what if he didn't technically betray Rachel? To Rachel, it felt like one. Sometimes, when you love someone, you have to be understanding of the complexities of emotions and just take the fucking L, even if you're technically faultless by definition. And honestly, Rachel was part of the problem, too. What kind of relationship or connection do you really have if you're having the same, obnoxious argument for eight years, never able to get on the same page? Like, I know it's a comedy, but Friends wasn't playing up the comedy angle during this arc. Anyways, they definitely shouldn't have ended up together if they were going to keep getting tripped up over one argument for eight years.
Riverdale:
I don't know how unpopular this actually is, but Veronica is extremely underrated and never gets the love and appreciation she deserves. Looking across the entire series, including time jumps, different universes, and eras where the characters literally had powers, Veronica was consistently the most selfless and considerate character on the show. Half the time, she was the mean girl in name only. There were countless occasions where Veronica forgave even when she shouldn't have and/or should have held out for more remorse and effort from the person that wronged her. The attempt to compare Veronica kissing Ginger Judas in the pilot after knowing Archie and Betty for two seconds to Betty doing it three years into Varchie's relationship is.. it has some nerve. Anyways, Veronica was wonderful, ambitious, and everyone on that show was better for having known her. Sadly, she was underappreciated more often than not, rarely ever getting her due. I really wish anyone but Archie had been the love of her life, because he really didn't deserve her by the end.
That '70s Show:
Sometimes, Hyde gets way too much of a pass for his treatment of Jackie. I feel like he's overall the most popular character on the show with his relationship with Jackie being the most popular, resulting in a lot of his questionable behavior getting swept under the rug. Obviously Hyde had issues he needed to work through stemming from his childhood and struggled to let other people in. But Jackie was consistently a pretty great girlfriend for him, going out of her way to show love and affection, only for him to not 100% reciprocate. Fuck Danny Masterson (and honestly Mila at this point too), but a lot of what made that relationship what it was is the chemistry between Danny and Mila and how they chose to demonstrate the love between those two characters. Hyde was still miles ahead of Kelso and Fez and had great moments with Jackie. But it still needs to be said. Hyde put Jackie through a lot.
Dawson's Creek:
While not perfectly written, most of Andie's fall from grace during season 3 makes a lot of sense. I even think Andie cheating on Pacey was in character. It's a controversial take because no one wants to believe that season 2 Andie would have ever done such a thing. But the reality is, Andie had a literal mental breakdown. She says it herself. When Andie went to get mental health help, she was no longer the same girl Pacey fell in love with. Andie was in a dark, lonely, vulnerable place, and she met someone else. This guy understood parts of Andie's mental health struggles that Pacey couldn't, and it led to a friendship that became an emotional affair. They made their own world together, and then had one, impulsive slip up. It doesn't cheapen Andie's love for Pacey, but it's still understandable that Andie crossed a boundary of Pacey's that couldn't be uncrossed. After this, Andie's attempts to recuperate post-breakup, including her treatment of Pacey and even stealing the test were pretty consistent based on how desperately Andie wanted to appear normal and as though everything was under control. However, I also think early season 3 stacked the deck too far against Andie, resulting in her character leaving the show early. The supposed "false accusation" meant to make Andie look bad from a misogynistic, ableist showrunner took it too far. I personally think even during that episode, there are enough hints, including Rob's desperation to shut Andie's story down when she hadn't even gone to the authorities, indicates she told the truth. Seriously, his happy ass was all cocky when Pacey confronted him, but once he sobered up he practically sprinted to Joey's house to use Andie's mental health against her, even manhandling Joey multiple times to force her to listen. But whatever. The intent was obvious, and I still hated it. Anyways, Andie McPhee was great, and I wish people would still appreciate her at her worst. After all, it's what led to season 4 Andie, probably the strongest iteration of her character even though she sadly wasn't around for long.

Pete “Maverick” Mitchell had a secret not many people knew. His on-again-off-again relationship with Penny Benjamin became real when Penny became pregnant and gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl.
The girl was named Aurora and the boy, Peyton. Both had dark brown hair and brown eyes, despite both their parents having green eyes. The only one who really knew about his children was his best friend, Goose, and Goose’s wife, Carole. Goose and Carole were so excited that Maverick had children and was instantly named godparents to both twins.
Maverick loved his children the moment he laid eyes on them, but because he was gone on deployment often, the twins lived with Penny. Today was the day Mav was introducing the twins to not only Charlie, but to Bradley Bradshaw as well. Bradley being eight years old still had yet to meet the twins since Penny lived in San Diego and Bradley and Carole in Virginia.
That day, Mav was going to pick them up on the way to the restaurant where he was meeting Charlie, Goose, Carole, and Bradley, as Carole and Bradley just landed that morning.
“Daddy!” Two voices shouted as he got off his bike that he had parked in the driveway of Penny’s house. He looks up and sees the source of the voices, his four-year-olds running out the front door and into his awaiting arms.
Maverick immediately scooped them both into a hug and proceeded to pepper kisses across their faces, earning excited squeals from his kids. The sight of the three of them together was the very picture of a happy, and long anticipated reunion.
“You know you’re not letting them ride on that death trap Pete,” a voice called out. He looked up and standing against the front door frame was Penny. She softly smiled, but also had a look on her face that meant she was serious about what she had said. Pete put the twins down and went to hug Penny.
“It’s good to see you too, Pen.” Wrapping her in a hug, Penny was the first to pull away and fix him with a stern look.
“Pete,” she warned.
“Okay, okay I won’t take them on the bike,” glancing back towards said beloved ride, Maverick quickly turned his gaze back to Penny with a slight tilt of his head.
“I’m guessing it’s okay to borrow your car while I take them for the day then?” Maverick asked, forgetting he should have asked Goose to borrow his truck at least.
“Yeah that’s fine.” Penny agreed. “How has Top Gun been treating you?”
“Great, I am the best at what I do,” Pete smirks at Penny, causing her to roll her eyes but the smile on her face is still undeniably fond.
“Uh huh, well please remember that they actually have a curfew at 7pm, and that’s not a suggestion,” Penny said as she looked over to the twins, Maverick following her line of sight and seeing Peyton chasing Aurora with a toy plane that Maverick himself gave to him a while ago.
“I’ll make sure they’re home on time Pen, don’t worry. I’m just excited that they’ll be meeting Bradley for the first time. It’s really been long overdue,” Maverick mused watching the twins play. They were running around so much it’s almost like they both forgot that they were going to spend the day with their dad.
“And of course, the woman you’ve been seeing right? One of your instructors at Top Gun?”
Maverick’s eyes blew comically wide when he heard those words.“How did you-”
Amused by his reaction, Penny continued.“Carole and I speak on the phone from time to time. She mentioned in passing about what Goose had told her, which in turn she then told me.” She paused briefly, the smile on her face softening just a tad with her next words. “I’m okay with the twins meeting her. She seems nice from what Carole told me. You know you didn’t have to hide that from me.”
“It wasn’t that I was trying to hide it from you. I just…I guess I was nervous. I mean are the twins okay with meeting another woman? Are you okay that they’re going to be meeting another person in their life? I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or feel like you’re being replaced.” Maverick rushed to say, leaving Penny a bit shocked.
She was not used to seeing a nervous Maverick, only recalling one time before and that had been when she’d told him he was going to be a father. Maverick definitely wasn’t one to doubt himself, normally confident in everything he did. Especially when it came to flying.
She laughs softly, “Pete, I’m okay with it. The twins will be fine, I think they’ll be more excited about meeting Bradley than your instructor, but from what Carole has told me you have nothing to worry about. And they understand that we’re not together so introducing them to someone else they should be fine with.” This had been explained to Aurora and Peyton some time ago, so of course they understood now. “Besides,” she grinned, “it’s hard not to fall in love with the twins.”
They both turned just in time to see Aurora now had the plane and was chasing Peyton with it. It brought a laugh from the both of them before Pete realized it was probably time to take them to meet the others. “Aurora, Peyton, it’s time to go! Unless you don’t feel like seeing Uncle Goose and Aunt Carole.” Pete calls out to them. At the mention of their godparents, that got both twins to pause before they started to run back to their parents in excitement. With both kids back and eager to go, Aurora and Peyton were quickly strapped into their car seats as Penny made sure to give them both kisses and to ‘behave for their dad’. Once both the twins were secured, she closed the door and gave the car keys to Maverick.
“7pm Pete, don’t forget it.” Penny told Maverick as she gave him a serious look.
“I won’t forget Pen, have a little faith in me.” Maverick replied as he got in the car.
Penny softly smiled as she waved them all goodbye, Maverick backing out of the driveway and heading to the restaurant where he and Goose both agreed to meet.
80s music played softly in the background of the car on their way there. Both the twins kept talking about their day and how excited they were to see their godparents during the car ride. Maverick had also told them that they would be meeting Bradley and another friend of his, both siblings excited to meet new people either way.
Once they’d arrived, Maverick parked in front of the restaurant right next to Goose’s truck when he spotted it. Charlie’s car was yet to be seen, but he knew she would be on the way.
Getting out of the car, Maverick helped both the twins out of their car seats before proceeding into the restaurant hand in hand with them when he heard Goose on the piano. He chuckled as the duo let go of his hands, running to Goose.
“Uncle Goose!” They both screamed hearing their uncle on the piano.
“My favorite twins!” Goose yells back as he gets off the piano bench and bends down to scoop them into his arms.
“They’re the only twins you know of Goose,” Maverick states, walking up to give Goose a hug as well.
“Shhh they don’t have to know that,” Goose replies as the twins giggles at their uncle’s antics.
“Don’t tell me you forgot about your favorite aunt?” a voice calls out to them. They all turn around and see Carole sitting at a table with Bradley right next to her, coloring. She waves and the twins squirm in their uncle’s arms, signaling him to set them down.
“Auntie Carole!” Peyton yells out running to give their aunt a hug as she stepped out of her seat, Aurora following right behind him.
“We could never forget you!” Aurora exclaims running into her aunt’s arms. She looks up and smiles at her aunt, having always adored Carole just as much as she does her mom. After greeting her god-daughter, Carole stood up and hugged Maverick, even though they just saw him a couple of hours ago.
Aurora then peaked over and saw the boy she knew her mom and dad had talked about. He was busy coloring and wore Goose’s hat that was a bit big on him.
Carole, now noticing the twins were looking at her son timidly, smiled at them and whispered, “Don’t go shy on me now. Bradley doesn’t bite.”
“Anymore,” Goose whispered to Maverick. Maverick chuckled as Carole slapped Goose on the arm and the twins laughed along with their antics.
“Bradley, come say hi to Uncle Mav’s kids,” Carole called out to her son. Bradley set down his crayon and slipped out of his seat and walked over to them. The young boy looked at the twins and put his hand out.
“I’m Bradley,” he said, “I’m eight.”
Peyton, being a little bit more outspoken between the both of them, took Bradley’s hand into his own and shook it.
“I’m Peyton, this is Aurora, my sister.” he replied, gesturing to his sister, who hid behind Peyton as soon as Bradley approached.
Aurora timidly stepped aside and gave Bradley a wave. Bradley gave Aurora a smile and put out his hand to her as well, and just as Aurora gave her hand to shake, he instead leaned over and gave the hand a kiss. Aurora turned red as the adults chuckled behind her.
“Well Goose, looks like your son is following in your footsteps,” Maverick mumbled to Goose as he realized the amount of boys he would have to keep away from his little girl. Goose merely smiled at the interaction between the kids.
“I saw in princess movies that’s what you do when you see a pretty girl. Mom said it’s the proper thing to do,” Bradley said with a smile as he let go of Aurora’s hand. Aurora, still speechless, just nodded, not knowing what to say.
Goose, Carole and Maverick then helped the kids back to the table, and just as they were seated, Charlie walked in. Almost immediately noticing them she began approaching their table with a smile.
Maverick then started introducing her to Carole who Carole already takes a liking to.
After introducing those two he began looking for his kids to introduce next but found them already occupied with coloring. Bradley was sat next to Aurora, and Peyton on her other side.
“Kids, this is my friend Charlie, can you say hi?” Maverick asked. The boys looked up and waved and went back to coloring. Aurora on the other hand, even though being four, had better manners than that. She gestured for her brother to move so she could properly greet her dad’s friend.
“Hello,” Aurora spoke softly.
Charlie leaned down to speak at Aurora’s level.“Well hi there. You know your dad has told me all about you.” She says.
“He has?” Aurora asks. Charlie nods.
“He talks about you all the time, says you and your brother are the best things that happened to him.”
“Even more than flying?” Aurora asks, looking at her dad. Maverick smiled and gave Aurora a big hug.
“Even more than flying.” He assured her. Aurora smiles and says thank you to Charlie as she runs back to the comfort of her brother and her new friend. Bradley gives her a hand and helps her back up in her seat. The adults then got themselves reseated, this time including Charlie and began ordering food and drinks around the table.
Time passes by and after the meals and drinks are finished, Goose has found his way back to the piano, the coloring abandoned on the table as Bradley and Aurora sat on top of the piano hand in hand, and Peyton sat next to Goose.
Immediately, a familiar song favorite of a certain group can be heard around the restaurant from where Goose plays.
You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, oh what a thrill
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!
Goose sings out with Bradley joining in on the smaller phrases of the song. Aurora and Peyton, not knowing the song, giggles at their antics. Maverick, Carole, and Charlie laugh watching them.
“Maverick, will you go fetch him,” Carole begged jokingly. “Doesn’t he ever embarrass you?”
“Goose, hell no,” Maverick replies. “Well there was the time-”
“Admiral’s daughter, mother to your two children over there?” Carole teasingly interrupts him.
“What?” he responded, shocked.
“He told me all about the time you went ballistic with Penny Benjamin. And you know I talk to Penny from time to time.” she teased. She looks back at Goose and the kids.
“Did he? Well that’s great” Exasperated, Pete was still a little hung up on the fact that Goose tells Carole these things.
“He tells me about all of them, Maverick. How my little angel Goose goes home early for church, and you always go home with the hot women.” Carole stated. Maverick laughs uncomfortably while Charlie laughs on the side. Carole then looks and gestures to the duo on top of the piano holding hands.
“How long do you think it will take for those two to fall in love?”
“Oh no. No way,” Maverick stated. He loved Bradley, but he did not want to think about his daughter already dating.
“Oh, come on Maverick, look at them.” Charlie added as they all stared at them. Aurora had gotten out of her shell as soon as she realized she was safe with Bradley, who beside her looked at Aurora and smiled, continuing to sing along with his dad.
“I bet by high school they’ll get together,” Carole says lovingly. Charlie nodded in agreement.
“Alright, thank you Carole.” Maverick interrupts her and gets up from his seat.
“I’m going to go and embarrass myself with Goose for a while.” He smirks at Charlie and leaves to join the kids and Goose at the piano.
Maverick in that moment, feeling a bit protective over his little girl, picks up Aurora into his arms, yanking her’s and Bradley’s hands apart from each other. The women laugh at Mavericks antics.
You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, but what a thrill
Leaning in towards one another, with a flair for dramatics Goose and Maverick then belted out the chorus line of the song together with their children.
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!
While the boys and kids went on with their dramatic rendition of “Great Balls of Fire”, Carole and Charlie talked about Maverick and how he is now officially off the market because of Charlie.
“He’s one hundred percent prime time in love with you. He wouldn’t have introduced you to the twins if he didn’t. They’re his whole world. He’d give up flying in a heartbeat for them.” Carole admitted to Charlie. They look over to the men and children at the piano.
“Hey Goose ya big stud,” Carole yelled out.
“That’s me honey,” replied Goose.
“Take me to bed or lose me forever!”
Goose instantly turned around to look at Carole.
“Show me the way home honey!”
Carole and Charlie get up to join them at the piano as Maverick reluctantly sets Aurora back down next to Bradley and takes Peyton in his arms.
Bradley instantly finds Aurora’s hand again, gives it a quick kiss before holding it tightly next to him. Aurora giggles at the gesture, while Maverick gives the kid a warning look. Peyton laughs while Charlie wraps her arm around Maverick and Carole sits on Goose’s lap.
“C’mon everyone, let’s sing with the family.” Goose calls out.
You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, but what a thrill
“Goodness gracious great balls of fire!” They all sing out for the last time.
Soon after, everyone began to head out of the  restaurant after paying for their dinner. Goose and Maverick were arguing about who pays while the women made sure the kids were doing okay. Bradley and Aurora were still holding hands, Aurora also holding onto her brother’s hand. The trio were giggling as if they had been friends their whole lives.
“Alright kids, it’s time I took you home back to your mom’s,” Mav announced to the twins. The twins realizing that they had to leave, meant they had to say goodbye to their new friend, as well as their aunt and uncle.
Solemnly nodding,  they give goodbye hugs to their aunt and uncle. Aurora giggled as Goose said that he was taking her away to live with them, Carole rolling her eyes at her husband’s antics and as soon as Goose put her down, Bradley then yanks her into a hug. Aurora smiles realizing how comforting it is to be in his arms and pulls back when Bradley starts to say something.
“We can send each other letters, and our moms call each other so that means we can talk to each other too!” Bradley said excitedly to the twins.
The twins were happy to know that the friend they had made today was not temporary. They both said goodbyes to Charlie as well and Maverick put them in their car seats, with Goose helping him. Maverick tells Goose he will see him at training, bids a goodnight to Carole and Bradley, and tells Charlie he will meet with her later after dropping off the kids.
With goodbyes exchanged, Maverick and the twins then began exiting the parking lot to start the trek back home.
Maverick looks back and sees that the excitement wore off, and the twins were already tired, falling asleep. Finally making it back to Penny’s house, Maverick tells the twins to wake up, only to get groans in reply, neither moving from their seat. He chuckles as he gets out of the car and sees Penny has been reading on her porch chair waiting for them to come home. She puts the book down and helps Maverick with getting the kids out of the car.
“Wow you really tired them out Pete. What did you do? Strap them in an F-14 until they stopped screaming with excitement” Penny teasingly asked him, as they set the children down into their beds after changing their clothes. Maverick laughed.
“No, Goose tired them out with his singing. Also, I think they made a new friend. Bradley was quite the charmer with Aurora.” Maverick remarked. Penny looked over at Maverick.
“Really?” Penny questioned as if she couldn’t believe her shy daughter took to Bradley so quickly.
“Yep,” Maverick replied, “Goose took a picture to prove it.” He took out a photo of Bradley, Aurora, and Peyton sitting next to each other at dinner, and another photo of Bradley and Aurora holding hands on top of the piano.
“Aww that’s so adorable. I’m surprised Bradley was able to get her out of her shell. Peyton I get, but Aurora has had a tough time with other people,” Penny explained.
“Yeah well I think she was sold as soon as Bradley kissed her hand,” Maverick teasingly replied. Penny laughed.
“Well you got some competition there. Carole and I have a bet going on when they’re getting together. She says high school, I say after college. You should probably save those pictures for their wedding,” Penny giggled leaving the twins room.
“What? Penny what do you mean wedding? There will be no wedding!” Maverick silently shouted as she left. He turned to the twins and sighed. He hated this part, leaving them. But he knew he would be back soon. He leaned down and kissed Peyton’s forehead.
“Good night sweet Peyton.” Tucking him into his blanket.
He turned and saw Aurora was still holding on to the coloring page she and Bradley both colored, and he pried it out of her hands and set it down on her nightstand. He then proceeded to tuck Aurora in, and place a kiss on her forehead.
“Good night princess.” whispered Maverick. “Sweet dreams.”
As if Aurora heard him, she indeed had sweet dreams that night, as that day was the start of a journey she was ready to embark on.
