How to Treat Yourself with Music: Our Weekly Self Care Picks
Self care is not a luxury, but a necessity that we should practice every day in different ways. But on Sundays, we deserve to treat ourselves with extra kindness and compassion for the week we’ve been through. That’s why we created “Self Care Picks”, a weekly playlist of songs that can help you recharge your mind, body and soul. We also added three bonus tracks that can boost your self care in different areas and prepare you for the week ahead.
Here are our picks for this week:
‘Focus’ - Kiana Lede knows what matters most and she wants you to know it too. On this track from her latest project “Grudges”, she demands your attention and energy, and she delivers a captivating performance that will make you want to listen again and again.
‘Express Yourself’ - Phabo wants you to celebrate your uniqueness and not take anything for granted, especially him. His new project “Don’t Get Too Cozy” is a cozy ride through 18 tracks of diverse vibes and moods that will keep you hooked and relaxed.
‘Jah’ - After her hit single ‘People’, the AfroSoul singer returns with a tribute to Jah and a reminder of her versatility and talent. She is a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.
‘Remedy’ - Ash Olsen is ready for a hot summer and she is looking for something different from the rest, something that can cure her woes. She is the “Golden Child” of the wave and she proves it on this track.
‘Do Ya Thang’ - Chingy teams up with T-Hood for a motivational anthem that blends the streets and the school. The St. Louis hip-hop veteran shows us why he is still relevant after 20 years in the industry, with his new album “Chinglish” that showcases his growth and evolution since his debut “Jackpot” in 2003.
Other songs we loved:
‘Attention’ - Doja Cat
‘Devil In A Dress (Ishan Remix)’ - Rhea Raj
‘Finally Made It’ - Brett B
Self-Care Spotlight: ‘Bubble Braids’ - Olivia Knox
