Para concluir, vamos destacar as principais regiões do parque nacional reconhecido como Patrimônio Mundial da Unesco. Com cerca de 13 mil km², abriga a maior concentração de predadores da África e tem um dos mais complexos e ricos ecossistemas de todo o planeta, com mais de 35 espécies de mamíferos e cerca de 500 tipos de pássaros.

É uma área privilegiada para assistir ao nascimento de gnus, principalmente entre dezembro e março. Durante esse período, as famosas planícies do Serengeti ficam repletas de predadores ativos e abrigam os enormes rebanhos migratórios de gnus e zebras em busca de grama fresca e verde.
