On 13th January 614, St Kentigern Mungo died , and was buried at his church in Clas-gu which later become Glasgow.
Saint Kentigern has been venerated for many centuries as one of the apostles of Scotland and patron-saint of Glasgow. He is best known in Scotland as Mungo, which means "darling", or "beloved one". Unfortunately, very little genuine information on this 6th-century saint has survived. His later life was composed by a Cistercian monk, Jocelyn of Furness, late in the 12th century, but earlier traditions about the saint are more authentic.
The future saint was born in about 518 or 528 in Culross in Scotland. His mother was the holy princess Theneva, (Enoch) who is also venerated as patron-saint of Glasgow, who's father Loth, King of Gododdin (modern day East Lothian) - was thrown out for being pregnant with Mungo after an illicit encounter with her cousin, King Owain of North Rheged (now part of Galloway). Her furious father had her tied to a chariot and launched off Traprain Law.
Amazingly she and the unborn baby survived and her father, now believing she was a witch, set her adrift in a coracle without oars up the River Forth.
His early life was shaped by St Serf who ran a monastery at Culross and rescued his mother and cared for her and the young boy who he affectionately called Mungo, meaning 'dear'.
Aged 25 Mungo began his missionary work on the banks of the River Clyde and built his church close to where the Clyde and the Molendinar Burn merge - this later became Glasgow Cathedral.
He was exiled during AD565 when anti-Christian King Morken of Strathclyde drove him away - he travelled through Cumbria and settled for some time in Wales before completing a pilgrimage to Rome. By the 570s a new king, Rhydderch Hael of Strathclyde, overthrew King Morken and invited St Mungo back to become Archbishop of Strathclyde. His church on the Moledinar became the focus of a large community that became known as Clas-gu or 'family'.
He died on Sunday 13 January 614. He was buried close by his church, and today his tomb lies in the centre of the Lower Choir of Glasgow Cathedral.
In order to become a Saint, it was necessary to prove that the candidate had performed miracles during their life - St Mungo was supposed to have performed four immortalised in this poem:
Here is the bird that never flew
Here is the tree that never grew
Here is the bell that never rang
Here is the fish that never swam
Today the bird, the tree, the bell and the fish form the four elements of the crest of Glasgow City Council.
St Mungo continues to influence Glasgow life today such as the mural seen on High St Glasgow by Australian born artist, Smug, depicting a modern day St Mungo and referencing the story of The Bird That Never Flew near to St Mungo's final resting place at Glasgow Cathedral:

je vous emmène au Lac Tahoe pour une évasion alpine. Je vous invite à découvrir cette maison contemporaine du lac Tahoe présentée dans le dernier numéro de LUXE Interiors + Design San Francisco ! Une magnifique résidence de quatre chambres du client à Martis Camp. Avec son air sophistiqué, elle représente l'évolution du style de Tahoe. #Repost @luxemagazine For this modern mountain abode, Interior Designer Jay Jeffers established the home’s color scheme with wallcoverings. "This couple likes strong, but not bright, hues and wanted a neutral palette that felt natural in the mountains without being cliché—this isn’t your average log cabin with antler chandeliers,” Jeffers explains. “But there’s also such strong daylight at this elevation that you have to mute colors to make them feel right,” he adds, explaining that a neutral gray paint can look bright white in the mountains. Geometric patterns, too, repeat throughout the rooms. Tour the rest of the home at our link in bio. Photography: @matthewmillmanphoto Interiors: @jayjeffers Architecture: @kellyandstonearch Builder: Robert Morken Construction, Inc. Landscape: @rocknroselandscaping https://www.instagram.com/p/ClrgRemtnlI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Huitfeldt fremhever spesielt alvoret med forfølgelsene av bahá’íer i Iran og bekrefter at norske myndigheter øver påtrykk overfor Iran for å gjøre slutt på bruddene på menneskerettigheter;

THE GOD OF MISCHIEF
NAME: Var Morken
OCCUPATION: Fisherman/Trader
APPEARS TO BE: 38
RACE: GOD
GENDER: Male
SUGGESTED FACE CLAIMS: Oscar Isaac
PERSONALITY TRAITS
+ Gifted
+ Intelligent
- Cunning
- Sarcastic
BACKGROUND
The son of Fárbauti (a jötunn) and Laufey, Loki was a mischievous god who could shape-shift, change his form and sex, and can take up animalistic forms. Although his father was the giant Fárbauti, he was included among the Aesir (a tribe of gods) and was the companion of Odin and Thor. A cunning and intelligent individual, he would often assist the Gods with his clever plans but also cause embarrassment and difficulty for them and himself. He was the principal cause of the death of the god Balder, an incident that brought him the wrath and hatred of his mother. Loki is married to Sigyn and they have a son, Narfi. Loki is also the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr.
An ever-scheming individual, Loki would often meddle in people's and Gods' lives as it would make him feel mighty and amused by their own dismay. Nothing could cure his boredom than causing death to weak little humans. He often used his charm to make amends with the Gods despite all the misfortunes he caused them. Some would fall for his charms, but some would hold grudges against him for all eternity. Many times, he has betrayed even his loved ones to achieve his own goals as he can be ruthless and wicked. Loki has been described by some as a narcissist and by others as a psychopath. He appears to feel sympathy and empathy only for himself. However, they don't know that the God has a soft spot for his family that he hides very well.
As for his powers and abilities, Loki possessed considerable superhuman strength and speed as a God. He was an extremely skilled and formidable sorcerer, with it being his main asset in battle. He could also generate extremely detailed illusions, which allowed him to disguise himself. He was particularly noted to fool enemies who tried to attack him by casting illusions and manipulating them. As a human, he can subtly influence the minds of others and exploit them with ease.
Everyone expected that it was Loki that was the traitor and reason for the gods’ banishment to earth, but surprisingly, it wasn’t the case and for once, Loki was innocent. Loki was as clueless as to who betrayed them like the rest. Neither was he happy with their fate. He was rather frustrated that he could no longer use his gifs, although he still enjoys playing games and mind-tricks on humans. How he was on Asgard, on earth is just the same. He wants humans to go against the gods and wants to re-create Asgard in his image. The only way possible was from the influence of humans. He plans on using them to the best of his advantage.
There is a particular Viking family that has been of interest to Loki for many generations. He had once played a vessel several times to the previous Viking King to keep a lookout of the females of the family and the magic they contained. But considering he wasn’t careful, he managed to get his vessel’s body killed. Since the death of the previous King, his last known vessel, he has taken an interest in the body’s daughter, INGRID. Whose magic and abilities are greater than he has ever seen before. Though, not taking upon her body entirely like he thought he would, he has channeled his abilities into the young human witch and watch as chaos folds around her for his own amusement. However, he is curious to see what she will do with the abilities he has given her in addition to the ones she previously had. To see if she will use them for good or evil.

Norwegian dream-pop artist Yndling releases ‘Cotton Candy Skies’
Yndling is the dream pop project of Norwegian artist Silje Espevik. This musical endeavour is the result of wanting to take complete creative control over her music. Through delicate soundscapes and oscillating synths, Yndling invites listeners into her own world, offering a place of escapism and resonance through her lyricism.
Following the release of her debut single ‘Childish Fear,’ Yndling is unveiling the sweet and euphoric ‘Cotton Candy Skies.’ After feeling sad and a bit heartbroken for a while, Yndling found herself in a state of self pity she couldn’t pull herself out of, almost taking comfort in the familiar feeling of being down. She confides, “The idea for the song came as I was walking home one evening and the sky was really brilliant with pink clouds all over. Normally I’m quite good at making small moments like that lift my mood and feel better, and it kind of struck me that I hadn’t really been doing that well on being present in my life lately.”
The first lyrics of the song goes, “Cotton Candy Skies, my life is floating by, and with the fear of no surprises, my mind it’s in the thinnest of slices”, touching on her feelings at that moment in time and how life seemed to be slipping through her fingers. The song acts as a reminder to shake yourself out of the funk, and to recognise your emotions without being overwhelmed with them. Through whimsical synths, an intoxicating groove and deliciously breathy vocals, Yndling draws us into her dreamy, pastel-coloured paradise.
