This little book features a miniature French poodle named Sukie, who helps the author showcase every element of the alphabet. Each letter has a full-page illustration which features Sukie, as well as bright hand coloring and some nice floral decorations as well!

This is part of a continuing series featuring pet minis in conjunction with the of the new pet themed exhibit that is now up in the reading room. This particular item is from the corresponding mini exhibit, put together by Rachel, so make sure to take time to see that wonderful collection as well, for more fun finds like this!

Not sure if Sukie was a fan of the Halloween season, but this poodle certainly is!

While I try to figure out converting hairs to The Sims 4, here are a couple of Sims 2 projects that I’ve been working on/finalising.

I tried to imagine what the rest of Jefferson’s victims looked like, which led to this.

Neste ensaio tivemos a divulgação dos biquínis da coleção verão 2022 da loja Delicate. Peças que trazem a tentação do momento: o biquíni Asa Delta. O ensaio consistiu em um cenário típico de uma tarde de sol, com piscina, bebidas, risadas e o principal, o conforto de um biquíni perfeito. O objetivo desta sessão fotográfica foi trazer para a sociedade o ensaio com corpos reais e pessoas reais.

Folge des Ukraine-Krieges Deutsche Hersteller erhöhen Sarg-Preise 05.05.2022, 18:24 Uhr Höhere Kosten für Energie und Rohstoffe machen sich auch bei den deutschen Sargfabrikanten bemerkbar. Mehr als die Hälfte von ihnen wollen die Preise um 10 bis 20 Prozent anheben. Grund für die Aufschläge soll vor allem der Krieg in der Ukraine sein. Wer sich um die Bestattung eines Angehörigen kümmern muss, könnte beim Bestatter künftig deutlich mehr zahlen als bisher. Denn Deutschlands Sarghersteller wollen ihre Preise kräftig anheben. Wie eine Branchenumfrage des Bundesverbandes Bestattungsbedarf ergab, will mehr als jeder zweite Hersteller die Preise im laufenden Jahr um 10 bis 20 Prozent anheben. Einige Firmen wollen sogar noch mehr verlangen. Zwar geht es um die Preise, welche die Fabrikanten den Bestattern in Rechnung stellen. Vermutlich reichen die Bestatter die Erhöhung aber ganz oder zumindest teilweise an ihre Kunden weiter. Verbandschef Jürgen Stahl begründete die Aufschläge vor allem mit Folgen des Ukraine-Krieges. Energie und Holz hätten sich verteuert, hinzu kämen Lieferengpässe bei Vorprodukten. So nutzen die Hersteller auch Ware aus der Ukraine, zum Beispiel Metallklammern und Garn für die Innenverkleidung. Die sich nun anbahnende Preissteigerung ist insofern bemerkenswert, als die heimische Branche in den vergangenen zwei Jahren dem Verband zufolge ohnehin schon die Preise im niedrigen zweistelligen Prozent-Bereich angezogen hat - dies vor allem wegen höherer Holzpreise. In Deutschland kostet ein im Inland hergestellter Sarg, der eingeäschert wird, nach Verbandsangaben in etwa 250 bis 400 Euro. Bei Särgen, die unter die Erde kommen, liegt die Preisspanne häufig bei 300 bis 600 Euro - wobei es auch deutlich teurere Särge gibt, die mehrere Tausend Euro kosten. Die Sarghersteller-Branche ist klein, in dem Verband kommen 19 Mitgliedsfirmen aus diesem Marktsegment. Zu der Branche gehören zum Beispiel Lignotec aus Berlin und Andres & Massmann aus Blankenrath in Rheinland-Pfalz. Die meisten Unternehmen haben weniger als 20 Beschäftigte. Grundsätzlich sieht der Verbandsvorsitzende, der auch Chef der Stahl Sargbearbeitung GmbH aus dem fränkischen Kleinheubach ist, die Perspektiven der Branche positiv: "Särge werden immer gebraucht, gestorben wird immer." Trend zur Einäscherung belastet heimische Branche Allerdings macht den heimischen Herstellern seit langem der Trend zur Einäscherung zu schaffen, denn dafür werden häufig billige Importe aus Osteuropa benutzt. Vor zehn bis 15 Jahren habe es in Deutschland dreimal so viele Sarghersteller gegeben wie jetzt, sagt Verbandschef Stahl. "Die Zahl osteuropäischer Importe hat stark zugenommen und das Sargniveau hat sich verändert." Zum Beispiel kommen nun viele in Deutschland genutzte Särge aus Polen. Mehr zum Thema Von den rund eine Million Särgen, die jedes Jahr in Deutschland gebraucht werden, sind schätzungsweise 60 Prozent aus dem Ausland. Bleiben 40 Prozent "Made in Germany". Diese Holzboxen teilen sich je hälftig auf Särge auf, die komplett in Deutschland fabriziert werden, und Exemplare, die als unbearbeitetes Holzbehältnis aus dem Ausland kommen und hierzulande "veredelt" werden - sie werden etwa mit Schnitzereien verziert und bekommen einen Stoffbezug als Innenausstattung. Und was sagen die Abnehmer, also die Bestatter, zu den Preiserhöhungen? Teilweise würden die das "schlucken", teilweise merke man aber auch, "dass die Kremationssärge noch mehr nachgefragt werden", sagt der Chef der Kölner Peter Braun Sargfabrik, Erich Allescher. Er gehe davon aus, dass der Kremationsanteil weiter steigen werde.
