Hello! Hope you’re having a wonderful day! I moved to a new state where there are very large bugs outside. Just found out from some neighbors that some specific large, eight legged creatures have been roaming outside. Currently locked inside overcoming a very large panic attack. I’m absolutely terrified 🥺. If it’s okay, I am hopefully requesting a fic with Mando comforting reader after some scary interactions with bugs? Protect me pls Mando 😭. Thank you !!!

***Sorry it took so long! Mando is a funny man 😒 (Bonus point for those that get the planet reference)

Huge

“Don’t you laugh at me, you overgrown tin can!” You spit as you continue to try to shake off the sensation of bugs crawling on you. The doors of the Razor Crest finally close, locking out the hellish planet you were on as you gave an exaggerated sigh of relief.

The huffing coming from the modulator quieted down, but you could still see the shaking of the Mandalorian’s shoulders as he laughed at your reaction.

“They were fucking huge!” You growl, defending yourself against the growing wave of embarrassment.

You didn’t mind bugs. The normal ones, smaller than your thumb. Disgusting, to be sure, but easily ignored or squashed. It also helped that you weren’t in any one location long enough for bugs to make their way onto the Crest.

You kept it clean, or a least as blood free as possible. Sometimes you had to scrub the ramp or the cargo bay free of the blood that came as a result of the bounty hunting he did. Mando had saved your life, sometimes you felt like that was literally the case. Plucking you off a backwater planet and letting you accompany him, keeping the Crest running to allow him more time to hunt down his prey. It was a good deal for both of you.

Until today.

Today was the day that would go down in history as the worst day possible. It was disgusting. Creepy, crawly things. This planet was littered with them. And they didn’t even hesitate in crawling all over you.

He didn’t even seem bothered by them. Of course every inch of his skin was protected by thick layers of duraweave material and beskar. He probably didn’t even feel the horrible sensations of them. His skin was not exposed to the sensations of being run over by thousands of feet.

“It wasn’t that bad.”

“It wasn’t that bad?” Your voice climbs as you shake your head. “It wasn’t that bad!? It was HORRIBLE!”

His shoulders were shaking again, the raspy laugh coming out rusty from the modulator. At least you could make him laugh.

“The squeals you were making were pretty grating on my hearing.” Mando teases between chuckles. “That was horrible.”

“Oooof, you - you-” You go to stalk away, storm off to some other part of the ship where he can’t make fun of you anymore. Jerk.

A leather clad hand wraps around your wrist and tugs you back to him. Your back thuds against the beskar covering his chest, his arms coming around you. “You were putting out some pretty unique dance moves too.” The humor was still evident in his voice as he kept you pinned to him.

“Di’kut” You spit out.

“At least your Mando’a is getting better, cyare.” His hand reaches up to run up and down your arms briskly. “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from the ‘huge’ bugs from now on.” He promises.

“You better.”

“I guess that means a vacation on Planet P is off. They have huge brain bugs there.” He huffs. “I was looking forward to it.”

“MANDO!”

“Kidding, cyare, I’m only kidding.”
