Daemon in love? Excuse me you can't be serious.
Grooming her
Trying to ruin her reputation
Abandoning her half naked in a brothel
Flirting with Laena in front of her salad
Leaving her again at the funeral cause the man was walking away if she wouldn't chase him, nothing would have happened. He didn't speak to her nor cared of doing that
Making up the excuse he spared her cause she was a child meanwhile married Laena, who was younger than Rhaenyra
Finishing as fast as possible the sex with her, he literally never looked at her once or kissed her again while fucking her. Rhaenyra was more tender cause she was holding him tight, he 0, nothing
Ignoring her feeling bad while baby was coming, ignoring her screams, calling his name during their child miscarriage
Looking at her with disgust during the funeral of Visenya (who knows what he was thinking)
Yelling at her during the council cause she doesn't want go war
Choking her out cause of the prophecy. Almost KILLING her cause she couldn't literally breathe anymore and if he didn't stop he would have killed her!
And this is nothing yet, wait for S2 and have fun on watching how Daemon damage Rhaenyra in the name of the so called love named by you
Yall saying he's in love by watching glances of flirting while grooming and kisses is out of your mind. Be for fucking real!
As I said before, this has all been covered many times, but you don't accept my answers and act like a parrot.
Daemon is a gray character and his actions are therefore generally complex, not meant to simply be boiled down to purely good or purely evil, like the brothel scene. But again all you care about is pushing your evil groomer Daemon agenda. Once again, Daemon is a gray character and this book and show grooming story is bullshit :
Over the centuries, House Targaryen has produced both great men & monsters. Prince Daemon was both. In his day there was not a man so admired, so beloved, & so reviled in all Westeros. He was made of light & darkness. To some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villains.
I've already literally said that this strangulation scene was stupid and incoherent and that, no, it's not because GRRM accepted this scene that it makes sense. GRRM also confirmed the last season of GOT with its ending and we often all talk about how stupid and incoherent it was and that GRRM himself said that its ending would be different from the show. Once again, books and show are not the same thing. Unless of course you are one of the imbeciles believing that Daenerys' behavior was consistent at the end of the series... In which case I would have enough information on your capacity for analysis. In fact, the simple fact that you repeat the grooming argument over and over proves it enough to me...
Also, once again you are complaining about me saying Daemon loves Rhaenyra, well then complain about the writers and directors who said that and also about Matt Smith. Are you planning to harass them too ?
Tumblr media
Oh and for the :
"Finishing as fast as possible the sex with her, he literally never looked at her once or kissed her again while fucking her. Rhaenyra was more tender cause she was holding him tight he 0, nothing"
Here's what Daemon did during the love scene, even though he apparently didn't do anything or show any signs of tenderness...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rhaenyra didn't try to kiss Daemon during their sex scene either ? As if that was proof of anything ? Like they hadn't kissed multiple times before with Daemon gently holding Rhaenyra's chin ? As if Daemon hadn't rested his forehead tenderly on hers ? As if he hadn't slowly loosened his dress ? As if he hadn't tenderly kissed and caressed her shoulders ? As if he hadn't held her face in his hands to look at her ? As if he hadn't squeezed her thigh in his hands ? As if he didn't caress her face again before resting his forehead on hers ? Oh and if you watch from 1 minute and 14 seconds to 1 minute and 17 seconds Daemon actually puts his arm under Rhaenyra to hug her too. Then as if the sex itself hadn't been slow and tender ? Saying that he's done with sex with her as soon as possible is the biggest bad joke I've seen. 😂
And then I repeat myself, but I don't care what happens to this already shitty and incoherent show. Even if Daemon cheat on Rhaenyra in the show, it will not impact the book because, small detail that you seem to ignore again and again, the book is not the show and the show is not the book, the canon of the book and the show canon are not the same thing. If Daemon cheats on Rhaenyra in the show, that won't be proof that he cheated on her in the book. It's you who seems to be in complete disillusionment repeating over and over again that you can't wait for the rest of the show to come out as if Daemon cheat Rhaenyra ever comes true was going to destroy me even though I don't fucking care basically. The book will still exist and from there, fuck you.
Also, no matter what happens, I will always have this magnificent musical composition for Daemyra :
youtube
And again, stop acting like you care about Rhaenyra's abuse. If that were the case you would be talking about Alicent and the Greens in general and above all, you would not proudly proclaim that you can't wait to see Daemon abuse Rhaenyra again and again in season 2. Seriously you are all completely sick...
Once again I recommend going to the tumblr of @la-pheacienne and of @horizon-verizon to educate you on what the character of Daemon and the Daemyra relationship really is. The posts of @stromuprisahat are also pretty good in general on Fire and Blood.

a/n: i admittedly have just finished the ‘goodbye archaic lord’ quest so i can’t say i’m very knowledgeable on zhongli/morax’s backstory- if any of this is ooc or seems a bit odd that’s um... my fault for being a slow and not very good Gamer(tm)
warning: general yandere contents
❥ zhongli
the well-put together and cordial man known as zhongli today, despite all he does to act as a mortal, is still in the end the man who was the archon of war. even though his days of being a violent warmonger and bloodthirsty archon are well past him, there’s certain things that never die; the instinct to claim, to conquer, still sometimes seems to burn deep down
but self control and patience are things that zhongli seems to have in abundance. ‘love’ is an emotion that he thinks isn’t entirely strange to him- but there’s just things that such an ancient archon can’t understand. the way archons love and humans love are just different, incompatible almost, and zhongli doesn’t seem as if he’s willing to change the way in which he loves
it seems easy to brush off his actions at first. he’s a gentleman- surely his habits of always escorting them when they’re out, his possessiveness, his insistence on them not getting too close to others; surely it’s just his old fashioned way of showing affection, him bringing forth long dead traditions. it’s so very much in character, so easy to not pay too much mind to
“you were talking to one of the sailors quite a bit today.” zhongli is, as always, calm and composed as he sips on his cup of tea. the bitter and rich aroma of the herbs wafts through the air, mixing in with the salty breeze of the ocean closeby and the lingering smells of the various restaurants and food stalls on the street. he doesn’t seem annoyed or angry, but his words still seem to almost imply some sort of displeasement. it’s hard to not apologize despite having done nothing wrong- they’re in their right to speak to whoever they please, there’s nothing wrong in that- but zhongli takes the apology with a smile. the feeling of something being wrong nestles deep in their chest, of how odd it is zhongli is even worked up about this, but it’s quickly brushed off as the gentleman offers them a cup of tea.
it’s almost draconic, how he hoards his darling. fitting perhaps for morax, for rex lapis, but coming from zhongli? it’s almost shocking how possessive he is. he has a clear disdain of others interacting with them, almost as if he believes all to have an ulterior motive. his long life has taught him that most humans- while weak and fascinating creatures- are also capable of unspeakable evil, capable of taking advantage of anyone they can, and he can’t help but see his darling as a weak little creature in a den of lions if he isn’t there to guard them
being the god of contracts, zhongli takes agreements seriously. what might have seemed like a cheesy promise to “stay by his side forever and never leave” isn’t just an empty sentence to him. he’ll gladly take it as a promise, hold it against them, use it to justify his actions
ideally, zhongli would like his partner to stay in his home, to act out all those old fashioned courtship and romantic costumes only he seems to remember. it’s almost as if he thinks that bringing flowers and gifts somehow makes up for the fact he’s quite literally isolating them, prohibiting them from leaving
in zhongli’s mind, his darling not wanting to do as he says is just... a temporary setback. surely they’ll come around, they’ll love him as he does: after all, humans get attached to those who are close and those who are doting, don’t they? he’s providing for them, he’s caring for the, he loves them, he’s just doing the best for them... they’ll come around. they promised to stay by his side, by the terms of the contract, they must.
even though he isn’t awake, he’s still holding them down. the house is quiet, only the vague noises of liyue’s nightlife filtering in through the closed windows. the architecture here is beautiful, but they’ve almost grown to resent the beautiful windows with wooden arches and details that make it impossible to jump through even when open. well, it’s not as if they could even get close to doing so: a slight shuffle makes zhongli grunt in his sleep, arms tightening around them in an almost uncomfortable manner. it makes them feel claustrophobic, an emotion they’ve become well acquainted with: how long has it been since they’ve truly been outside? not guided around by zhongli, not under his gaze, just free. they’ve even considered praying to barbatos for freedom, but even they know it’s useless. something makes them feel like even the archon of another region wouldn’t be of any use, not against zhongli’s overwhelming affections
there’s very little comforts to hold onto. sure, zhongli lives in a nice house, there’s never food missing, he seems to be keen to decorate them with clothes and accessories, especially fond of dressing them up in traditional liyue garb that’s hard to walk around in and not very much comfortable. but there’s no real calm- whenever he leaves the funeral home, smelling of incense and flowers, he treats them as if though he wasn’t holding them hostage, treats them tenderly enough to be unnerving
perhaps the only shred of light for his darling is the fact zhongli seems to be convinced they’ll come around, and he waits. sure, he’s much more touchy than he should be- soft caresses, chaste kisses, holding them as they sleep- but he doesn’t force much of his love on them, instead patiently waiting as the isolation and cabin fever slowly break down his darling’s resistance. said in nice words, one could say zhongli is waiting for his beloved to want his love- in accurate words, he’s waiting until they’re so broken they have no other human contact other than zhongli’s affection.
people in liyue speak of him and them. about how fitting it is for a gentleman like zhongli to have found such a docile and traditional spouse, always waiting for him at home, never leaving his side. indeed, from outsiders’ perspective, everyone seems to think that perhaps the eccentric man just found a partner that’s as willing to stick to old rules; when they see zhongli take his darling out on dates they think the fact that they keep their eyes on the ground and their hand always on zhongli’s is nothing but old fashioned respect rather than them having been broken down to a husk of who they once were
of course they’d all think they’re married. the way zhongli seems to always be by their side, the way they’re always holed up in the house, only being seen by the funeral parlor worker’s side; surely only someone in a committed relationship would do that! it irks zhongli at times- clearly, the proper matrimony rites haven’t been taken yet- but it makes his life easier, so he doesn’t correct the townspeople when they ask him how his spouse is doing. when time comes, he’ll surely host a small private wedding, a ceremony where he’ll invite the remaining adepti, a ceremony that feels at home with archaic customs and rituals; for now, it’s enough to gaze into his darling’s empty, empty eyes as he holds them close
“you’ve been quite good recently, haven’t you? perhaps we should go out to eat tonight.” he’s quite pleased with how his darling has progressed. it turns out that all he needed for them to hold up their end of the contract was a bit of time- time spent completely alone with no other contact than him, time spent locked inside the house, time spent with zhongli harshly reprimanding them for trying to escape, with only him for months and months until their basic human instincts for affection and the stress of it all just made them break. as they are now, they surely couldn’t survive by themselves; almost like a pet, they just sit by his side, allow him to pet their hair and kiss them, spending their time when he’s away just idly reading or organizing the house, not even trying to test if he forgot to lock the door. it pleases him deeply: they’re entirely his, and he’s entirely theirs. he toys with the hem of the sleeve on their traditional garb he helped them into this morning, he loves to see them dressed in clothes that remind him of times when liyue dearly worshipped the adepti and lived by traditions he now finds himself missing. as they just nod and lean into his touch, he hums happily- he’s sure that liyue pavillion will be happy to accommodate him and his darling, as they always are “glad to welcome master zhongli and his spouse” with little to no questions about much

Well, this is interesting! So, in that post yesterday, there was one line that really baffled me, a thing about people brushing off a character as an asshole “because he shows literally zero growth.” I kind of set that aside because it was such a weird non-sequitur, and guessed that it was just someone’s sentences not quite keeping up with their train of thought, which has happened to me many times. Apparently I was wrong! I already spent long enough on that one post, I’m tired of talking about that, but this is new and interesting.
Okay. I kind of wanted to see if I could talk about this purely in terms of abstracts and not characters, but I don’t think it’ll work. It would be frustrating to write and confusing to read. It’s about Jiang Cheng. Right up front: This isn’t about whether or not he’s an abuser. Frankly, I don’t think it’s relevant. This also isn’t about telling people they should like him. I don't care whether anyone else likes him or not. But I do like him, and I am always fascinated by dissecting the reasons that people disagree with me. And the process of Telling Stories is my oldest hyperfixation I remember, which will become relevant in a minute.
I thought I had a good grasp on this one, you know? Jiang Cheng makes it pretty obvious why people would dislike Jiang Cheng. But then the posts I keep stumbling over were making weird points, culminating in that “literally zero growth” line.
So! What happened is that someone wrote up a post about how Jiang Cheng’s character arc isn’t an arc, it’s stagnation. It’s a pretty interesting read, and I broadly agree with the larger point! The points where I would quibble are like... the idea that it’s absolute stagnation, as opposed to very subtle shifts that still make a material difference. But still, cool! The post was also offered up as a reason why OP was uninterested in writing any more Jiang Cheng meta, which I totally get. I’m not tired of him yet, but I definitely understand why someone who isn’t a fan of his would get tired about writing about a character with a very static arc. Okay!
Now, internet forensics are hard. I desperately wish I had more information about this evolution, because I find this stuff fascinating, but I have no good way to find things said in untagged posts, reblogs, or private/external venues. But as far as I can tell, that “literally zero growth” wasn’t just a slip of the tongue, it’s become fashionable for people to say that Jiang Cheng is an abusive asshole (that it’s fucked up to like) because he doesn’t have a character arc.
Asshole? Yes. Abusive? This post still isn’t about that. This is about it being fucked up to like this character because he did bad things and had a static character arc.
At first, that point of view was still deeply confusing to me. But I think I figured out the idea at the core of it, and now I’m only baffled. I’m not super interested in confirming this directly, because the people making the most noise about this have not inspired confidence in their ability to hold a civil conversation and I’m a socially anxious binch, but I think the idea is: ‘This character did Bad Things, and then did not improve himself.’
Which is alarmingly adjacent to that old favorite standard of ‘This piece of fiction is glorifying Bad Thing.’ I haven’t seen anyone accusing mxtx of something something jiang cheng, only the people who read/watched/heard the story and became invested in the Jiang Cheng character, but things kind of add up, you know?
Like I said, I don’t want to arbitrate anyone’s right to like/dislike Jiang Cheng. That’s such a fucking waste of time. But this is fascinating to me, because it’s like..... so obviously new and sudden, with such a clear originating point. I can’t speak to the Chinese fans, obviously, but exiledrebels started translating in... what, 2017? And only now, in 2021, do people start putting forth Jiang Cheng’s flat character arc as a “reason” that he’s bad? I’m not going to argue if he pings you in the abuse place, I’m not a dick. I’m not going to argue if you just dislike his vibes. I’m just over here on my blog and in the tag enjoying myself, feel free to detour around me. But oh my god, it’s so silly to try to tell other people that they shouldn’t like him because he has a static character arc.
I want to talk about stories. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to say, because it’s impossible to make broad, sweeping statements, because there are stories about change, there are stories about lack of change, there are all kinds of media that can be used to tell stories, and standards for how stories are told and what they emphasize vary across cultures and over time. But I think that what I can say is that telling a story requires... compromise. It requires streamlining. Trying to capture all the detail of life would slow down most stories to an unbearable degree. Consider organically telling someone ‘I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich’ versus the computer science exercise of having students describe, step by step, how to make one (spread peanut butter? but you never said you opened the lid)
Hell, I’ve got an example in mdzs itself. The largely-faceless masses of the common people. If someone asks you to think about it critically like, yes, obviously these are people, living their own lives, with their own desires, sometimes suffering and dying in the wake of the novel plot. But does the story give weight to those deaths? Or does it just gloss by? Yes, it references their suffering occasionally, but it is not the focus, and it would slow the story unbearably to give equal weight to each dead person mentioned.
Does Wei Wuxian’s massacre get given the same slow, careful consideration as Su She’s, or Jin Guangyao’s? No, because taking the time to weigh our protagonist with ‘well, this one was a mother, and her youngest son had just started walking, but now he’s going to grow up without remembering her face. that one only became an adult a few months ago, he still hasn’t been on many night-hunts yet, but he finds it so rewarding to protect the common people. oh, and this one had just gotten engaged, but don’t worry, his fiancee won’t mourn him, because she died here as well.’ And continuing on that way to some large number under 3000? No! Unless your goal is to make the reader feel bad for cheering for a morally grey hero, that would be a bad authorial decision! The book doesn’t ignore the issue, it comes up, Wei Wuxian gets called out about all the deaths he’s responsible for, but that’s not the same as them being given equal emotional weight to one (1) secondary character, and I don’t love this new thing where people are pretending that’s equivalent.
When Wei Wuxian brutally kills every person at the Wen supervisory office, are you like ‘holy shit... so many grieving families D:’ or are you somewhere between vindicated satisfaction and an ‘ooh, yikes’ wince? Odds are good you’re somewhere in the satisfaction/wince camp, because that’s what the story sets you up to feel, because the story has to emphasize its priorities (priorities vary, but ‘plot’ and ‘protagonist’ are common ones, especially for a casual novel read like this)
Now, characters. If you want to write a story with a sweeping, epic scale, or if you want to tightly constrain the number of people your story is about, I guess it’s possible to give everyone involved a meaningful character arc. Now.... is it always necessary? Is it always possible? Does it always make sense? No, of course not. If you want to do that, you have to devote real estate to it, and depending on the story you want to tell, it could very possibly be a distraction from your main point, like the idea of mxtx tenderly eulogizing every single character who dies even incidentally. Lan Qiren doesn’t get a loving examination of his feelings re: his nephews and wei wuxian and political turnover in the cultivation world because it’s not relevant, and also, because his position is pretty static until right near the end of the story. Lan Xichen is arguably one of the most static characters within the book, he seems like the same nice young between Gusu and the present, right up until... just before the end of the story.
You may see where I’m heading with this.
Like, just imagine trying to demand that every important character needs to go through a major life change before the end of your book or else it didn’t count. This just in, Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg go through multiple novels without experiencing radical shifts in who they are, stop liking them immediately. I do get that the idea is that Jiang Cheng was a ~bad person~ who didn’t change, but asdgfsd I thought we were over the handwringing over people being allowed to like ““bad”” fictional characters. The man isn’t even a canonical serial killer, he’s not my most problematic fave even within this novel.
And here is where it’s a little more relevant that I would quibble with that original post about Jiang Cheng’s arc. He’s consistently a mean girl, but he goes from stressed, sharp-edged teenager, to grief-stricken, almost-destroyed teen, to grim, cold young adult (and then detours into grim, cold, and grief-stricken until grief dulls with time). He does become an attentive uncle tho. He..... doesn’t experience a radical change in his sense of self, which... it’s...... not all that strange for an adult. And bam, then he DOES experience a radical change, but the needs of the plot dictate that it’s right near the end. And he’s not the focus of the story, baby, wangxian is. He has the last few lines of the story, which nicely communicate his changes to me, but also asdfafas we’re out of story. He was never the main character, it’s not surprising we don’t linger! The extras aren’t beholden to the needs of plot, but they’re also about whatever mxtx wanted to write, and I guess she didn’t feel like writing about Jiang Cheng ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But also. Taking a step backward. Stable characters can fill a perfectly logical place in a story. Like, look at Leia Organa. I’m not saying she has no arc, but I am saying that she’s a solid point of reference as Luke is becoming a jedi and Han is adjusting his perspective. I wouldn’t call her stagnant, the vibes are wrong, but she also isn’t miserable in her sadness swamp, the way Jiang Cheng is.
Or, hell, look at tgcf. The stagnant, frozen nature of the big bad is a central feature of the story. The bwx of now is the bwx of 800 years ago is the bwx of 1500+ years ago. This is not the place for a meta on how that was bad for those around him and for him himself, but I have Thoughts about how being defeated at the end is both a thing that hurts him and relieves him. Mei Nianqing is a sympathetic character who’s also pretty darn static. Does Ling Wen have a character arc, or do we just learn more about who she already is and what her priorities always were? I’m going to cut myself off here, but a character’s delta between the beginning of a story and the end of a story is a reasonable way to judge how interesting writing character meta is, and is a very silly metric to judge their worth, and even if I guessed at what the basic logic is, for this character, I am still baffled that it’s being put forth as a real talking point.
(also, has it jumped ship to any other characters yet? have people started applying it in other fandoms as well? please let me know if this is the case, I am wildly curious)
(no, but really, if anyone is arguing that bwx is gross specifically because he had centuries to self-reflect and didn’t fix himself, i am desperate to know)
And finally. The thing I thought was most self-evident. Did I post about this sometime recently? If a non-central character experiences a life-altering paradigm shift right near the end of the story (without it being lingered over, because non-central character), oh my god. As a fic writer? IT’S FREE REAL ESTATE. This is the most fertile possible ground. If I want to write post-canon canon-compliant material, adsgasfasd that’s where I’m going to be looking. Okay, yeah, the main couple is happy, that’s good. Who isn’t happy, and what can I do about that? Happy families are all alike, while every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way, etc.
It’s not everyone’s favorite playground, but come on, these are not uncommon feelings. And frankly, it’s starting to feel a little disingenuous when people act like fan authors pick out the most blameless angel from the cast and lavish good things upon them. I’m not the only one who goes looking for a good dumpster fire and says I Live Here Now. If I write post-canon tgcf fic, it’s very likely to focus on beef and/or leaf. I have written more than one au focusing on tianlang-jun.
And, hilariously. If the problem with Jiang Cheng. Is that he is a toxic man fictional character who failed to grow on his own, and is either unsafe or unhealthy to be around. If the problem is that he did not experience a character arc. If these people would be totally fine with other people liking him, if he improved himself as a person. And then, if authors want to put in the (free! time-consuming!) work of writing that character development themselves. You would think that they would be lauded for putting the character through healthier sorts of personal growth than he experienced in canon. Instead, I am still here writing this because first, I was bothered by these authors being named as “freaks” who are obsessed with their ‘uwu precious tsundere baby’ with a “love language of violence,” and then I was graciously informed that people hate Jiang Cheng because he experiences no character growth.

A- Aftercare (What are they like after the act?)
Alfred tends to be a bit quiet afterwards, but still typically pulls you into an embrace, holding you against his chest.
B-Body Part (Favorite body part of their body and their partner’s body)
Breasts are the kings favorite body part of a female partner. He is always more than delighted to press his face between them, even taking each of them into his mouth. Alfred loves to watch them them as you ride him, fondly caressing them while you do.
Alfred’s favorite body part of his own is his chest. It is lean and muscular, which he is quite proud of. In the morning, he loves finding the red lines from you having raked your nails down his chest in the heat of the moment.
C-Communication (How much do they talk during sex?)
How much Alfred speaks during sex solely depends on the mood. When he does however, it is in the form of dirty talk or teasing. He will whisper in your ear, his voice full of lust.
D-Dirty Secret (What about their sex life don’t a lot of people know?)
The King has quite the appetite for rougher fornication. He is dominate and incredibly passionate. Sex, at this time, is only meant for producing an heir. Though you find Alfred asking you to join him in his chambers fairly frequently.
E-Experience (Do they know what they’re doing?)
Alfred has great knowledge of history and religion, but he also knows how to please a woman. Despite what the commoners may think, the king has been with more than one woman. He will admit that he isn’t the most knowledgeable person in the kingdoms when it comes to sex. But the king knows more than enough to pleasure his partner.
F-Favorite Position
Alfred is a simple man when it comes to sex. So, naturally his favorite position is missionary. Seeing the expressions on your face is a major turn on for him. This position also gives him good leverage to fuck you deeply and passionately, while watching your face contort from pleasure.
G-Goofy (How serious are they in the bedroom?)
King Alfred tends to stay serious in the bedroom. There have however, been times when the two of you asked a maid to bring a bit too much ale to his chambers. These tipsy sessions were filled with bad coordination, tickling and laughter.
Hair-Grooming habits
Since Alfred is king, he has some tools to help him groom. He keeps things trim, but doesn’t do much more grooming beyond that.
I-Intimacy (In the moment, are they romantic or rough/dirty?)
The sex between you and Alfred tends to be more rough. Romantic sex usually happens once he’s returned to Winchester or just before battle, if you’ve traveled with him.
J-Jacking Off (Do they masturbate and how often?)
The King hardly masturbates, he’d rather save his sexual drive for you. Plus, the life of the a king is busy and members of his court could come knocking at his chamber door at any given time.
K- Kinks (What kinks do they have?)
Alfred has quite the breeding kink. After all, the more heirs he has, the longer his vision of an united England would be carried. He also genuinely enjoys being a father. Your mothering ability has always impressed him. The children can be very rambunctious, but you always ruled with a kind, yet firm hand.
L-Location (Where do they like to do it?)
Sex with the king most often stays within either of your bedroom chambers. Alfred enjoys a little risk, but having one of his subjects witnessing his love making is not one he cares to take. When you travel with him, he is not opposed to sex in his traveling tent. Though, the two of you try to be conscious of the amount of noise you make in this location. As again, he doesn’t need his army hearing receiving or giving pleasure.
M-Motivations (Things that make them tick)
Alfred’s motivations will vary depending on the day. Sometimes his only goal is to bring you pleasure. Other days he aims to give you and the family another child. When his days are busy, he finds himself day dreaming of you and the next time he can lay with you.
N-No (Turn offs and absolutely won’t dos)
The king will not harm you, no matter the circumstances. He may gently grab your throat if things get particularity rough and you request it. Otherwise he will not choke, smack or in any way harm you.
He has also never entertained the idea of sharing you or inviting another person into the mix. You are his wife and he is your husband, through and through.
O-Oral (Receiving and giving and how skillful they are)
Alfred loves receiving oral, like most men. He always asks that you look him in the eyes as you wrap your lips around his member and bob up and down. To him, this is nearly a perfect sight.
The king also enjoys giving oral. He loves having you wrapped around his finger, (literally and figuratively). Alfred revels in each whimper that escapes your lips. Making you orgasm in this way incredibly intimate to him and he is proud each time he makes you climax with his mouth.
P-Pace (How fast are they?)
The pace all depends on how he is feeling. If Alfred is in the teasing mood, he will take his sweet time with you. A slow and romantic session usually takes place in either of your chambers.
Fast sessions tend to take place when you accompany him during his travels. Having sex in his more ornate tent is certainly more risque.
Q-Quickie (Do they like them?)
The King is usually never opposed to a quick love making session. You find that they occur most often just before he is due to leave Winchester, to manage Uhtred or attend to other kingly duties.
R-Risk (Do they like to try new things?)
Alfred tends to stay with the tried and true when it comes to sex. However, when you bring a new idea into the bedroom he becomes intrigued. After all, he does want to please his queen.
S- Stamina (How many times can they go and how long does each round last?)
He can go one round and another in the morning if the mood is right.
Alfred can last quite a while in bed, but sometimes his illness will over come him and will occasionally shorten your love making. Typically the sex can last anywhere from 20-30 minutes total.
T-Toys (Do they like using toys on themselves or their partner?)
Seeing as sex toys are way beyond his time, Alfred doesn’t have that luxury. However he is more than willing to use his own body to try to please you in more creative ways.
U-Unfair (How do they tease their partner or do the enjoy being teased themselves?)
The King absolutely loves to tease you. He enjoys delaying your gratification and climax. He’ll caress the most sensitive spots on your body, ever so slightly. You’ve found that his favorite is nipping you with soft kisses while teasing your clit. He will also whisper to you how beautiful he finds you and how he’s going to please you over the next little while.
V-Volume (Are they loud and what sounds do they make?)
Alfred can be fairly noisy in bed. He most often grunts and moans the closer he gets to climaxing. He tends to make more noise when you vocalize as well. Alfred adores your gasps and moans as the two of you fuck.
W-Wild Card (A random head cannon for the character)
Alfred is a committed lover. There are many beautiful attractive women in the kingdoms, but he has eyes only for you.
X-XRay (What do they look like down there?)
The king is well endowed, definitely above average in girth and length. You find it to be the perfect shape, as it isn’t too large as to cause you to hurt or be uncomfortable.
Y-Yearning (What is their sex drive level?)
Alfred has a high sex drive, though that can change when his illness is affecting him most. The majority of the time he is ready to pounce on you at any given moment. Unfortunately as king, he has a very busy schedule. This means sex happens most often in the early morning or late at night, after he has finished with the day’s work.
Z-Zzz (Do they sleep afterwards and if so how quickly afterwards?)
It depends on the time of day. If the two of you have sex in the early morning, he will make himself presentable and continue on with the day’s tasks. Now when sex takes place after dinner, you often spend time talking about the day and his plans for England and your family. After a while, he will kiss you tenderly on the forehead and roll over for a good nights sleep. Occasionally he will leave bed, blow out all candle but one and continue to work in the dim light, reading and writing letters. For a king’s work is never done.

Part 2 of 4
-
Six days.
It could have been six months for all that Noctis was concerned. He hadn’t left the hospital in that time, had barely left the room more than a handful of times when he’d literally had no choice. Most had been for examinations, the doctors running him out to conduct tests and check Nyx status. He’d stopped hoping to hear the words he’d been waiting for that Nyx could be woken up from the coma he’d been put in. For the good of his health, those were the words they had told him too many times as they’d exited the room.
For his health, Nyx must sleep. For his health, Nyx had to linger in this sterile room. For his health, Noctis had to suffer without his calming and reassuring presence…
...and Noctis had started losing hope.
He had been forced to wait, alone, in a precarious balance that messed with his head. Stuck in some odd, indescribable holding pattern, not knowing if Nyx would live or die. A man that was a Hero among glaives and admired by many. Someone that Noctis had been pulled too without thought, never considering where their relationship was heading. It had been fun, an escape… something that he’d made for himself. Now that it was gone? Noctis recognized his emotions for Nyx went far deeper than he’d ever intended for them to go.
Noctis had found himself asking the same question time and time again as he sat in the small, quiet room where Nyx laid. Curled up in the stiff and uncomfortable chair that was provided to guests, he’d decided it was time to analyze his own feelings. Why did his loss hurt so much? Where did his feelings for the glaive end? How could he keep going if Nyx wasn’t there at his side with his sarcastic remarks and tender touches? The deeper he dug, analyzed, and prodded at his thoughts like an open wound; the more he knew there was only one cause. It played on repeat inside his head as he observed the gentle rise and fall of Nyx chest.
I love him. I love him. I love him.
But, it wasn’t a love of a brother. A friend. Not even a companion. It was an all-consuming, deep and traitorous love that could strengthen or utterly destroy him. At that moment, as Noctis stood there observing the shadows that played across the pulled curtain; he knew if Nyx died it would inevitably shatter him into a million pieces. Knew he would never be able to put himself back together again. So he stood there, his hands clasped together as he chewed on his bottom lip. Noctis waited for those doors to open, sending a silent prayer to Etro. Asking only one thing of her as those words continued over and over in his head, and weary eyes fell closed.
I love him. I love him. I love him. Please, just keep him at my side… because I love him.
“Noct? Highness?”
“Iggy?” Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he glanced at his advisor. Noctis knew how he looked, pale and harried from too many sleepless nights. Too much stress, and too little fresh air. “I’m sorry, I was lost in thought.”
Ignis acknowledged his words, motioning towards the doctor that stood before them. “The medical staff have completed the examination. It will take a few hours for the effects of the medication to wear off, but they have concluded he can be awakened at this time.”
Noctis was quick to look from Ignis to the doctor, a questioning in his eyes. Needing to hear this man say those same words, and it seemed he understood this. “As your advisor has said, Your Highness. His vitals has remained stable for the last forty-eight hours, and all injuries that we felt were life-threatening, seem to be healing sufficiently.” There was a paused, glancing at the watch around his wrist, before speaking again. “His waking will take time.”
“Hours?” He asked.
“Possibly days, Your Highness. With the injuries that he sustained, I’ve seen patients take up to seventy-two hours, or more to finally come too.” Bowing deeply, their eyes met as he righted himself. “We must be contented he will wake, Your Highness.”
Giving a curt nod, he thanked him and then Noctis walked back into the room and to Nyx side. Many of the machines had been removed, and it was easier to pretend that he was simply sleeping like this. “Dusha,” Being careful of the bandages, Noctis ran thin fingers through ashen hair. The words that the doctors had told him days before ran through his head. It was a miracle that he was even alive. Under normal circumstances, anyone who’d sustained such damage would have normally succumbed to their injuries.
Ignis reentered, contemplating the scene for a moment. “Noct, if I may?” Noctis let out a hum, his focus solely on Nyx. “While his ongoing recovering is pleasing to hear, what will Sir Ulric think when he observes you in such a state?” That made the prince look up. “If I may be blunt, you haven't taken proper care over the last week. Knowing that he will not waken within the next forty-eight hours. I must insist you return to your apartment, have a wholesome meal and sleep in a proper bed.”
While Noctis was against the idea, he had done as asked, returning to his home. But only after Gladio and Ignis promised that one of them would remain with Nyx at all times. He would be contacted the moment the glaive demonstrated the slightest indication that he might be waking, and Gladio had taken the first watch. This left Ignis free to take the prince home. Thus assuring that he'd taken a long hot shower, had a proper meal, and slept in his own bed. Noctis had slept most of the day away by the time Gladio had roused him with yet another meal.
He'd also come with news.
Both men had decided Noctis would be banned from the hospital for the rest of the day unless called for. Most of it was spent playing video games and trying to distract himself. Ignis returned that evening, cooking dinner for the prince, before sending him off to bed once again. A few days of proper rest and food had made Noctis feel human again, and still, he waited for any information in regards to Nyx. By the third day, he couldn’t just sit around in his apartment any longer and talked Gladio into taking him back to the hospital. While Ignis wasn’t pleased to see him return, he could appreciate why Noctis felt he should be there.
The two had left, promising to return by morning and once again Noctis was left in the quiet of that tiny room. Nyx sleeping form was his only company as the prince played with his phone, dark eyes straying to the glaves still form. Except he wasn’t still, his eyes fluttered and Noctis jumped up from his seat to cover the insignificant space that stood between them. He reached down to caress Nyx jaw, his thumb brushing tenderly across his cheek. “Dusha, ty menya slyshish'?” There was a sigh, his eyes opening slowly as he blinked a few times. “Nyx?”
It was evident the glaive was still affected by the drugs that ran through his system, along with the lengthy period of sleep. Nyx looked confused for a moment as if he were trying to focus on the face before him. Soon his confusion turned to recognition as he smiled up at Noctis. “Moya lyubov', moya dusha… is it you?”
He couldn’t stop the laugh that left him, a rush of joy and relief flowing through him as tears filled his eyes. “Yes, Nyx. It’s me.” His thumb continued brushing his cheek, and Nyx smiled when Noctis placed a brief kiss on his forehead.
“Hey there, pretty boy. How'd you get here?” At this point drug-hazed eyes had started to wander around, taking in his surroundings. Noctis could see the moment that it clicked, he wasn’t where he thought he should be. “Noct?”
“Stay calm and I'll explain. You have been wounded. Injured during the last attack and Drautos had you rushed back to Insomnia. We are at the hospital near the Citadel, and you’ve been here for about a week and a half.” Needing to know he was actually awake, Noctis leaned over and kissed him. When he felt it returned, he let out a sigh of relief. Pulling apart, he laid his forehead against Nyx' carefully and closed his eyes, despite the fact that tears continued to gather. “I was so frightened. I believed I’d lost you.”
“No, Noct. No. I wouldn't leave you alone.” Raising his arm, Nyx let out a hiss of pain that caused Noctis to pull away. “Oh... fuck, that hurt.”
“Careful!” Noctis laughed, brushing away the tears that streamed down his cheeks. “You haven't even been awake five minutes and you’re already pushing yourself too far.” Kissing him again, the prince placed little pecks to his lips until Nyx was smiling again. “Just relax. How do you feel?”
“Like I’ve been trampled by a behemoth?”
“Well, you were…” One brow arched, giving his young lover a look that told him in no uncertain terms that he should continue. “I wasn’t there, all I know is what I heard. Luche was the one who saw it.” Sitting on the edge of the bed, he took the glaives hand with the utmost care and held it. “He told me a few behemoths were causing trouble, and your group had broken off to take them down.”
“I remember that much. There were three near the wall where Crowe and the mages were.”
“Do you remember what happened next?” He shook his head, and Noctis couldn't hold back a frown. “Luche said you came out of a warp, at the same time a behemoth turned to attack. It knocked you away, and you hit the ground at the same time Pelna had attacked. They said you wound up pinned, and then the creature struggled and ended up rolling over you before attacking again.” He watched Nyx closely, hoping to see some form of recognition in his eyes, but there was nothing.
“I don’t know. It's all a blank, but I trust Luche." He noted the mirid of bandages and smirked. "So, how bad am I hurt so I can figure out how much trouble I'm in with you?”
“Glad you're finding humor in this, ass." He huffed, "When I arrived the doctor had already rushed you into an emergency surgery.” Noct's eyes fell, rubbing the hand that held his. “I was so scared, Nyx. They had to keep you in a coma, because of some contusion or damage to your head. The left shoulder was dislocated and your wrist on that arm broke. Your leg was… damn it Nyx, you could have died!”
“I didn’t, I’m still here. I'm lucky.”
"This time."
"You can't think that way." Nyx entwined in fingers with Noct's, squeezing lightly. "You know what I am, what I do."
“I know,” Leaning closer, Noctis kissed him once again. Raising his free hand to Nyx jawline, pale fingers ran through the coarse beard that had grown out a bit since he’d been in the hospital. “I just, I need you to stay alive.” He murmured, meeting the glaives tired gaze. “When it comes to you, permit me to be a little selfish? I can’t lose you, Nyx.”
He could see the joy mixed with pain in the prince's eyes, and it hurt to know he was the reason for that. “All right.” Brushing his lips against Noct's own, he smiled. “I’m yours; you won’t lose me. Not today.”
"Not ever, if I have any say in the matter."
"Brat." But Noct had stood by him through a lot, and that was a hell of a lot more than he'd expected. Feelings he'd long tried to bury flowed to the surface. "My brat."
