wait.. i’m literally on here or weibo almost 24/7 ( as you can tell lol ) but I feel like i missed something. i’m seeing clowning related to xz’s photos and how it looks like he is a groom and it’s a wedding photoshoot. the place is also famous for wedding shoots ( allegedly, idk. i’m not from there ) so turtles are imagining again. lol. freakin coincidence that wyb’s GRA photoshoot was done at a wedding shop. plus the “wedding outfits” for weibo night. which is all clowning and galaxy braining.🌌

now, we’re joking around, like where’s yibo? he should be taking photos with his partner.

then i see comments that there is this one song WYB recently listened to. meaning, as recent as when XZ flew to singapore which is called 超人不会飞 (superman can’t fly) by Jay Chou. i know WYB and everyone else is a big fan of Jay Chou but the clowning comes from the timing of when he listened to it. let me get to that first.

turtles are interpreting it as WYB longing to “fly” to where XZ is and be with him but he can’t because of all his work commitments. he wants to take a breather. thinking about what his life is and the constraints, and at times like this, when they spent days in Beijing, but now they have to be apart, it affects him even more.

however when i read the lyrics, it could also be because he can relate to what jay chou is singing about. here’s the english translation i found here. i have bolded the ones i felt like WYB relates too. literally no need for explanation. just read it. It fits with his status in life so much that it’s almost scary.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with how cpfs are relating this to cpn cause that’s just how it is. But sometimes, there are other reasons why they do what they do.

SO MY CONFUSION COMES FROM HOW THE HELL DO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT HE RECENTLY LISTENED TO. I can’t seem to dig up how or maybe it’s something we don’t talk about. I have never experienced this kind of tidbit related to them before so I wanna know the source. Or is this like the gaming cpn where certain people know and they will not divulge the boy’s account for privacy? if anyone knows, feel free to comment. If i find out in the future, I will share.

Hello since I saw you were rating wish list for DW hope its oke for me to share mine and ask for your thoughts thanks a lot and feel free to ask me my reasoning for them.

Wei: Cao Hong, Cao Zhen (two very important commanders for cao cao), Zhang Xiu (another top cao commander would also help flesh out Jia xu as they were very close historically), Zhong Yao (Zhong Huis dad a very early supporter of cao cao eventually became a top minister extremely interesting guy)

For Wu:

Zhuge Jin, Zhuge Ke ( I don’t think I need to justify it lol), He Qi (very important and skilled general who really helped Sun Quan hold his southern territories also his dw blast design makes him look like wu’s version of Zhang He which i like), Zhang Zhao (was pretty much Sun Quans father figure and closest minister)

Shu (my favorite):

Honestly many, I would even consider removing some of the fictional characters because out of those the only one i like and feel contributes anything to the story is Guan Suo. Anyways

Liao Hua (do I even need to say why lol), Wang Ping (Top general was able to overcome a learning disability and rise to the top), Fei Yi (would really help add an interesting dynamic to Jiang Wei), Zhang Yi or Ma Zhong (either would help fill out with another disciplined warrior) maybe Zhuge Zhan but he comes in quite late.

My least favorite sorry Jin:

Another Sima (so many talented Sima’s lol) my personal choice would be Sima Yi’s brother, Sima Fu (very important minister I think he became imperial chancellor but more loyal to Wei than jin could provide some nice tension with his relatives)

Yang Hu (very important Jin figure although most of his achievements came late in the period, really this is my major beef with Jin) or maybe Hu Lie for similar reasons.

Other:

One of the Yuan Brothers either Shang or Tan would add a nice bit of drama and excitement to Cao Cao’s northern conquest

Liu Biao (super important figure of the period involved with nearly every important faction and character)

Han Sui (really interesting warlord and had a long life) if they decide to go the novel route a one handed moveset would be interesting as well

One of the bandit factions leaders; i like what total war did with the bandit Zhang yan and the bandit queen. It be cool if koei could try something similar good suggestions imo would be Zhang Yan, Yang Feng, or Zang Ba

Cao Hong was very important and might be a good foil for some of the established members of the family, presenting a new dimension to their interactions. Cao Zhen is also hugely important and could be a great foil for Cao Pi and Cao Xiu; showing how important he was also makes it easier for people to understand why his son was given so much authority after Cao Rui's death. Zhong Yao is one of the most important people of the era and while the Wei faction is pretty heavy with tacticians at this point, there's always room for someone of his accomplishments. Zhang Xiu is certainly one of the people I'd love to see. Great for Jia Xu as a character and he can add some muscle to some battles that are otherwise pretty lacking in significant enemies.

Zhuge Jin and Zhuge Ke don't need to be justified, you're absolutely right. That's all pretty obvious. He Qi is pretty significant (arguably one of the most significant people of the era since his efforts to settle the Han population in southern China and bring the region under Han control had long-lasting effects) and pretty unique. I wouldn't be upset about that. Zhang Zhao also goes without saying. He has every quality I'd look for in a new character; long career, close personal relationships to characters who need them, many historical accomplishments, unique personality, etc.

Liao Hua is a pretty common choice. He has longevity on his side (always good but especially for that faction since so many major people all died around the same time) and enough accomplishments to his credit to justify it. Yi is, of course, one of my favorites. It'd be great to have him to represent the leadership between Zhuge Liang and Jiang Wei and their different styles, and his assassination is a huge narrative beat that can really set up Shu's final act. Wang Ping and Ma Zhong were commanders whose accomplishments alone justify their inclusion, in addition to their unique personality traits and history. Zhuge Zhan has potential to be a very intersting character, although I doubt they'd have the guts to go all out with it and have him be part of the court's corruption. Zhang Yi (Junsi) would be an unexpected choice but not totally useless. For Zhang Yi (Bogong), I'd say the same things I said about Liao Hua. And for Zhang Yi (Boqi; often called Zhang Ni), the same as Wang Ping and Ma Zhong.

There are alot of Sima family members who would be decend additions. I think Sima Fu is one of the best, since he was perhaps the most important and had such a lengthy career; he could also really bring out some aspects of his relatives we don't currently see. I think Yang Hu is highly overrated; Hu Lie is pretty great though. He and his brother Hu Fen, along with their father Hu Zun, are all good choices IMO.

The Yuan family could always use a bit more meat to it; I think which members are most useful to have depends on how you choose to expand their tale. I do think Yuan Tan is particularly important, though, given his achievements under his father.

Liu Biao needs no justification. Han Sui is an interesting choice but one that I like.

I can see the merit in including someone to represent one of the major bandit factions of the time, though I'm not sure exactly who I'd cuse. Of the ones you listed, probably Zang Ba since he has much more going on than the others.

Warriors Orochi: The Recollective Redux Part 7.1: Jin - Sima Yi Story A

Because Warriors Orochi and Warriors Orochi 2 were released with characters from Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors 2 (Xtreme Legends), this story does not appear in the actual game. Therefore, this is an original story exclusive to Warriors Orochi: The Recollective.

The Jin story is split into two stories focusing on Sima Yi and Sima Zhao. The Jin Sima Yi story starts with the Orochi Army’s subjugation of various Resistance armies before going on to a reverse point of view of some stages in the game. For example, if you play a stage that has Sima Yi (or Masamune) as an enemy, then in this story, you play from their point of view. This is basically an extension of the Orochi story.

Initial Characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Zhang Chunhua

Chapter 1: Battle of Luoyang 洛陽の戦い (uses DW8 map)

Orochi Army and Chen Gong Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Zhang Chunhua Third-party characters: Chen Gong, Jia Xu, Yu Jin Enemy characters: Cao Shuang, Cao Fang, Cao Mao, Zhang Rang, Duan Gui

Unlocked characters: Chen Gong, Jia Xu, Yu Jin

Following their defeat in Shangyong, Sima Yi surrendered to the Orochi Army. A number of his officers were taken hostage as security for Sima Yi’s cooperation in Orochi’s army. For his first independent mission in Orochi’s army, Sima Yi was assigned the task of subjugating the Wei imperial family and the Ten Eunuchs in Luoyang.

The Orochi Army will be joined by Chen Gong in this battle. The Cao family will be standing their ground in Luoyang. They will have pyrocannons, ballistae and arblests ready to attack. Defeating the commanding officer will deactivate those devices so that they can be destroyed. When Cao Shuang, Cao Fang and Cao Mao are defeated, Zhang Rang and the Ten Eunuchs will arrive, setting fire to Luoyang. Defeat the main leaders, Zhang Rang and Duan Gui to win the battle.

In the aftermath, Chen Gong, Jia Xu and Yu Jin will join Sima Yi’s army.

Chapter 2: Battle of Rokujō 六条の戦い (uses SW4 map)

Orochi Army and Zhong Hui Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Chen Gong Third-party characters: Zhong Hui, Hisahide Matsunaga, Munenori Yagyū Enemy characters: Yoshiaki Ashikage, Yoshimoto Imagawa, Takatora Tōdō, Fujitaka Hosokawa

Unlocked characters: Zhong Hui, Hisahide Matsunaga, Munenori Yagyū

Sima Shi and Sima Zhao are sent to Kyōto to defeat the shogun Yoshiaki Ashikage. He will be defended inside the southwestern area by Yoshimoto Imagawa. His army will be all over the battlefield. They are reinforced by Takatora Tōdō and Fujitaka Hosokawa.

Zhong Hui, Hisahide Matsunaga and Munenori Yagyū will join you in the battle. They will head to the northwest while you head to the south. Make your way to the southwestern castle, defeating the enemy officers on the way. Takatora will confront you once on the southern path. Defeat him and continue on.

When you have cleared the central area, Zhong Hui will be ambushed by Takatora and some other officers. Sima Shi will send Sima Zhao up to assist while he continues on. Help Sima Zhao out and defeat Takatora once again along with the other enemy officers.

Finally, when Zhong Hui and Sima Shi have surrounded the gates, they will break them open and charge towards Yoshiaki. Takatora will appear one more time to confront Sima Shi and the others. Defeat Yoshiaki, Yoshimoto and Takatora to win the battle.

In the aftermath, Takatora will escape, while Zhong Hui and others will join Sima Shi under orders from Orochi.

Chapter 3: Conquest of Nanzhong 南中平定戦 (uses DW5 map)

Orochi Army and Xu Huang Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Zhang Chunhua,Jia Chong, Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Wen Yang, Zhu Ran, Takatora Tōdō Third-party characters: Xu Huang, Zhang Liao, Diamondback, Kojirō Sasaki Enemy characters: Meng Huo, Zhurong, Yukimura Sanada, Ginchiyo Tachibana, Toyohisa Shimazu, Yueying, Bao Sanniang, Guan Yinping

Unlocked characters: Deng Ai, Kojirō Sasaki

Meng Huo and the people of Nanzhong managed to protect their lands from Orochi’s subjugation, which was becoming a pain for Da Ji. As such, Da Ji sent Sima Yi to Nanzhong and ordered him to find a way to end their resistance once and for all. He sent his son, Sima Zhao, to act as a vanguard, but they fell into a trap and were driven to the verge of defeat by Meng Huo and his army.

Starting from the southeast, your main objective is to rescue your allies from Meng Huo’s army and bring them to the southwestern area. Meng Huo will have more men in reserve, but Wei reinforcements from Xu Huang will arrive, allowing you to turn the tide. Kojirō Sasaki will appear in the northern area to assist you as you fight Meng Huo and Zhurong.

After defeating Meng Huo and Zhurong, another Resistance frontline led by Yukimura Sanada will arrive from the northwest and northeast. Defeat Yukimura to win the battle.

In the aftermath, Deng Ai will be released into Sima Yi’s army and Kojirō will also join you as well.

Chapter 4: Subjugation at Hulao Gate 虎牢関討伐戦

Orochi Army and Mōri Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Zhang Chunhua, Deng Ai, Zhong Hui, Yu Jin Third-party characters: Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa, Cao Ren, Diaochan Enemy characters: Sun Ce, Zhou Yu, Lu Su, Han Dang, Ranmaru Mori, Naotora Ii, Naomasa Ii, Zhao Yun, Wei Yan, Magoichi Saika, Yoshihiro Shimazu, Nobuyuki Sanada

Unlocked characters: Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa, Zhuge Dan

Thanks to intelligence, Sima Yi learnt that Sun Ce turned on the Orochi Army in an attempt to save his father and decided to take care of him before word got out to Orochi or Sun Quan.

Motonari Mōri and his army will assist you in his battle. Defeat Sun Ce’s forces in the west and centre before fighting Sun Ce in the northeast. As your army approaches Sun Ce, Zhao Yun will arrive in the southeast with reinforcements. Defeat Sun Ce and Zhao Yun to win the battle, but despite this they will escape anyway.

In the aftermath, Da Ji will assign Motonari and his son, Takakage Kobayakawa, to Sima Yi’s army. Zhuge Dan will also be released as well.

Chapter 5: Showdown at Xiangping 襄平決戦 (uses DW8 Yan Province map)

Orochi Army and Da Ji Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Hisahide Matsunaga, Munenori Yagyū, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa Third-party characters: Da Ji, Dong Zhuo, Keiji Maeda, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Diamondback Enemy characters: Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong, Wen Yang, Zhu Ran, Ma Dai, Motochika Chōsokabe, Takatora Tōdō, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō

Unlocked characters: Dong Zhuo, Keiji Maeda, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura

Sima Yi’s son, Sima Zhao, became increasingly discontented with his father’s servitude of Orochi and decided to defect from the Orochi Army. When Orochi heard of this, he sent Sima Yi to pursue them. Sima Zhao was pursued to Xiangyang, where he was determined to fight his father…

Sima Yi will advance his army on the east and west, where they will be ambushed by Sima Zhao’s forces. Ma Dai and Zhu Ran attempt to launch a fire attack on the two areas, but if you defeat them and counter it, Hisahide Matsunaga and Takakage Kobayakawa will turn the fire attack back on Sima Zhao.

Da Ji will arrive during the battle with reinforcements from Orochi.

Defeat Sima Zhao to win the battle. In the aftermath, Sima Yi and Sima Zhao will part ways. Sima Yi is impressed that his son has found his own path. Da Ji’s reinforcements will join Sima Yi’s army.

Chapter 6: Standoff at Komaki-Nagakute 小牧長久手対決戦

Sun Ce was an officer of the Orochi Army along with the rest of Wu. However, Sun Ce gradually led the Wu Army out of Orochi’s servitude. This greatly reduced the power of Orochi’s army. However, they still had one trump card up their sleeve; Sun Jian and Sun Quan were still hostages in Orochi’s Army, to be executed at Komaki-Nagakute. Just as the executions were about to start, the Wu Army arrived on the battlefield…

Sun Jian, Sun Quan and Lianshi will be guarded in the southwestern garrison. Some Wu officers under Orochi will begin attacking the Tokugawa officers in the south, assisted by Zhang Chunhua and other Orochian officers. You will be with Sima Shi and Zhuge Dan in the centre, attacking Han Dang and Cheng Pu, while Sima Yi and Jia Xu will attack Lu Su and Jiang Qin in the northeast.

Once the first wave of officers has been defeated, Sima Yi suspects that something is wrong, since there weren’t any Wu reinforcements assisting them. Suddenly, Hanzō and Zhou Tai attack the southwestern garrison, killing the guard before releasing Sun Jian and Sun Quan. At this point, the Wu officers in the southeast defect to the Wu Army as their main unit also arrives.

Assist your allies in the southeast before defeating the Sun family to win the battle.

In the aftermath, the Wu Army escape the battlefield to prepare for their showdown with Orochi.

Chapter 7: Defence of Yamazaki 山崎防衛戦

Orochi Army vs. Wei Army Allied characters: Dong Zhuo, Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi, Da Ji, Motonari Mōri, Keiji Maeda Enemy characters: Cao Pi, Mitsunari Ishida, Li Dian, Yue Jin, Xiahou Ba, Guo Huai, Yoshitsugu Ōtani, Cao Cao, Dian Wei, Xun Yu, Guo Jia

Like Sun Ce, Cao Pi was a member of the Orochi Army, but he decided to defect from them and build up his army in anticipation of the final battle against Orochi. He attacked an Orochi Army outpost at Yamazaki in order to pave his way towards Koshi Castle. Da Ji, Dong Zhuo and Sima Yi quickly went to assist the struggling forces there…

First, you need to secure Mt. Tennō and guide Zhuge Liang there so that he can activate the cannons. Next, you need to defeat the enemies attacking both Mt. Tennō and the main camp.

Cao Cao will then arrive, to the surprise of the Wei Army. Defeat him and Cao Pi to win the battle.

Chapter 8: Escape from Yong Province 雍州逃亡戦 (uses DW8 Xiahou Ba’s Journey map)

Orochi Army vs. Coalition Army Allied characters: Kiyomori Taira, Himiko, Sun Wukong, Sima Yi, Deng Ai, Zhong Hui, Masamune Date, Kojirō Sasaki, Kojūrō Katakura Enemy characters: Zhu Ran, Ma Dai, Wen Yang, Takatora Tōdō, Motochika Chōsokabe, Muneshige Tachibana, Ujiyasu Hōjō, Lady Hayakawa, Kai, Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō

Despite repeated attempts to repel the Resistance, they eventually got through to Orochi’s camp at Koshi Castle. Sima Yi was requested to send reinforcements and Kiyomori Taira was sent to assist, however Sima Zhao managed to engage them in battle, buying the Resistance time to defeat Orochi. Once news of Orochi’s defeat reached Sima Yi and Kiyomori, they decided to retreat through Yong Province…

The Orochi Army will start at the bottom and escape to the top of the battlefield on three fronts. Sima Yi will escape through the west, Masamune will escape through the east and Kiyomori will escape through the centre. Zhu Ran, Ujiyasu Hōjō and Takatora Tōdō will confront the three armies with ambush tactics including firearrows, cavalry and ninja units, though Sima Yi, Masamune and Kiyomori will counter with pyrocannons, riflemen and sorcery.

Once all units reach the top of the battlefield, Sima Zhao and Wang Yuanji will arrive with reinforcements. Defeat them to win the battle.

Sorcerer's in Tong's ‘’canon’’ are definitely imposing individuals, commanding and controlling the otherwise wild, dangerous forces of magic, but they are not the only ones who wield great power.

-- There are also the Peerless (Wushuang), individuals who were not born with the capacity for magic but possess a special type of energy (qi) called Mettle (Qìgài) that makes them either peak human fighting machines on the weaker end or superhuman one-man/woman armies on the stronger end. Peerless are generally more of a danger than Sorcerer's, but at their highest tiers they are roughly equal. Some notable Peerless are Zha.ng Fei, Zha.ng Liao, Zhe.ng Jiang, Ga.n Ning, Sun Xi.ang Sha.ng, Pa.ng De, and Ma C.hao.

-- Then there are beings like Taig.ong Wa.ng and Si.ma Hui (the Eight Enigma's founder), beings known as Immortals or more correctly, Divine Transcendent’s (Shénxiān) who, through the process of Cultivation, have shed their mortal essences and become Deities. They may have at one point been Sorcerer's or Peerless before they achieved deification (though this is not always the case-- even mere mortals can follow this path), but as Divine Transcendent’s, they have little connection to who they were in the past (including whatever abilities they may have had) and are truly on different level than the two.

-- There are also the bonafide Deities of both good and evil alignments (evil Deities are usually referred to as Fallen Deities or sometimes Arch Demons but they are still Deities), beings who were born as Deities or those who have existed as such since time immemorial, beings like The Heavenly Emperor, Feng.bo, Xi Wan.gmu, Su.n Wu.kong, Fu.xi, Shen.nong, Nu.wa, Hun.dun, King Yan, Ne.zha, etc etc.

-- There exists another class of beings, however, a small number of unique individuals who, through natural occurrences or their own (usually taboo) machinations, possess a mix of qualities that usually only belong to Sorcerer's, Peerless, or Divine Transcendent’s / Deities, individuals like Z.uo Ci, L.u Bu, Gu.o Jia, Gu.an Yu, Zhu R.ong, Sim.a Yi, and P.ang Ton.g, to name some. These people are still either Sorcerer's, Peerless, or Divine Transcendent’s / Deities at their core, but they are known as Aberrant’s (Yìcháng), i.e, Aberrant Peerless, Aberrant Sorcerer's, Aberrant Transcendent's / Deities, etc. The Power of Aberrant’s is something to behold, but their versatility is what makes them truly dangerous.

Dynasty Warriors 7 Characters only unlocked in conquest mode

Conquest mode kinda replaced free mode yet kinda didn't. It had you go through all sorts of little battles throughout the land to fill in all the hexogons to gold. You had a bunch of towns you can go into and increase bonds with other playable officers. Now you should at least get all of story mode out of the way so you can unlock most of the characters you can choose from at the beginning. If you start out conquest mode like when you start the game first, you might have a very small roster to choose from. The starting roster from when you boot up the game for the first time is the following:

It's not very big so go through story mode to collect some officers to play as.

Clearing the story of Wei unlocks: Xiahou Yuan, Dian Wei, Xu Zhu, Cao Pi, Zhang He, Zhang Liao and Jia Xu

Clearing the story of Wu unlocks: Zhou Yu, Lu Xun, Gan Ning, Lu Meng, Huang Gai, Ling Tong, Sun Ce, and Sun Quan

Clearing the story of Shu unlocks: Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang, Pang Tong, Huang Zhong, Guan Suo, and Jiang Wei

Clearing the story of Jin unlocks: Sima Shi, Zhuge Dan, Wang Yuanji, Zhong Hui, Deng Ai, and Guo Huai

Any of the other faction characters, apart from Zhurong of course, will have to be unlocked in Conquest mode.

Is there anyone who's playable in Dynasty Warriors now you think spouse (By spouse I mean being married to someone) should also be playable who is not? Also same question with children who should be playable?And with that I think I want out a family.

Of the Cao, I think Cao Cao’s wife Lady Bian (mother of Pi, Zhi, and Zhang) would be an excellent addition, particularly if she’s the one responsible for Cao Cao’s more merciful decisions in the narrative (like sparing former enemy officers such as Zhang Liao and Jia Xu). I think his daughter Cao Jie would be a solid character, being Han’s last empress and known for a fiery display of defiance against her brother. I also think there’s to be gained by including the martial Cao Zhang, and perhaps even the drunken poet Cao Zhi, although I’ve never been fond of the latter.

I also think that Cao Rui (son of Cao Pi and Madam Zhen) is a natural choice, given that an appreciable portion of the narrative takes place during his reign (namely Zhuge Liang’s various campaigns).

Xun Yu’s son Xun Yi was a major figure in Western Jin. He was a longtime friend of the Sima brothers, a close confidant who helped orchestrate their rise to power and reaped the rewards of doing so. Intelligent but corrupt, he’d be a fun contrast to his father.

Sun Jian’s wife, Lady Wu, could also be a fantastic inclusion. She was a strong-willed and level-headed woman who provided sound advice to her husband and suns prior to her death. She could be a great contrast to her fiery husband and eldest son.

Sun Luban, the daughter of Bu Lianshi and Sun Quan, was an extremely influential figure in Wu during the final years of Sun Quan’s reign, and during the time of the three regents (Zhuge Ke, Sun Jun, and Sun Chen). Her sister Sun Luyu might also be a worthwhile addition, as the two fought for years until Luban arranged for her sister’s death.

Lu Xun’s sun Lu Kang was a talented official who was arguably the paramount figure of Wu’s final years, though I think that if the story isn’t extended until Jin’s conquest of Wu he loses a lot of his relevance.

The same can be said of Zhu Ran’s son Shi Ji, one of Wu’s leading figures during the reigns of Sun Xiu and Sun Hao.

Liu Bei’s wife Lady Mi and concubine Lady Gan (Liu Shan’s mother) could both be interesting inclusions but it would require the story to spend more time on Liu Bei’s early years than DW usually wants to. There’s potential there but I doubt it’d be realized.

Zhuge Zhan, son of Zhuge Liang and presumably Lady Huang (Yueying) seems like a natural choice. He was one of Shu’s leading figures during its final years and famous led the final failed defense against Deng Ai at Mianzhu. I’m surprised he’s not in these games already.

I personally don’t have much faith in this, but theoretically Guan Yu’s wife (named Hu Jinding in Hua Guan Suo Zhuan and that seems as good a name as any) could add a lot to their family dynamic. If Guan Yu has three sons and a daughter, adding his wife is logical.

Sima Shi had two wives who could be interesting although it depends on the narrative. His first wife Xiahou Hui (who he allegedly murdered) was the daughter of Xiahou Shang and sister of Xiahou Xuan, and I’d be happy to see all three of them given the spotlight. His third wife Yang Huiyu (sister of Yang Hu), was an influential woman much loved by his family. Sima Yan even honored her as though she was his own mother. Aside from her relationship with Sima Shi (and potentially Yang Hu) she’d presumably bring a new dynamic to Wang Yuanji as well, and she could really use it.

As for the Others, I think Yuan Shao has potential. His wife Lady Liu was a very sinister woman, one who had several of his concubines murdered and desecrated after his death to prevent them from meeting in the afterlife. She also helped arrange for Yuan Shang to inherit control instead of the older Yuan Tan. A sinister power player would be an interesting character to add. Related to that, I think there’s an argument for including Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang as well; particularly the former. Yuan Tan was one of his father’s most accomplished generals; he defeated Liu Bei to seize much of Qing province and led the retreat form Guandu, during which he captured a number of cities in southern Ji who defected to Cao Cao.

Those are the ones who come to mind, though I’m sure someone else is likely to chime in with their own ideas.

PS it’s still weird to me that Chen Tai is not in these games.

Clear Chapter 1 to unlock this stage.

Nobunaga arrived at Kawanakajima to find a warrior bravely leading his army against Orochi’s forces. It was Ma Chao, one of the legendary Five Tiger Generals of Shu. He was attempting to keep the citizens of the area safe, leading them to Zenkōji. However, the Orochi Army was led by Sima Yi. Nobunaga moved to their aid after being urged by Huang Zhong.

At the start of the battle, Sima Zhao will appear in place of Wang Shuang, Wang Yuanji will appear in place of Zhong Hui and Jia Chong will appear in place of Guo Huai. Zhuge Dan will appear in place of Wang Lang, Sima Shi will appear in place of the generic Sima Zhao and Zhang Chunhua will appear in place of Xin Pi. Zhong Hui will appear in place of Niu Jin when he appears alongside Deng Ai as ambush troops inside the Stone Sentinel Maze.

Defeat Sima Yi and guide the peasants to Zenkōji to win the battle.

To unlock Ma Chao, ensure that all peasants reach Zenkōji.

Chapter 3-X: Battle of Xiapi 下邳の戦い

Coalition Army and Lu Xun Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Nobunaga Oda, Mitsuhide Akechi, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Kazumasu Takigawa Third-party characters: Lu Xun Enemy characters: Cao Ren, Zhang Liao, Xu Huang, Mitsunari Ishida, Yue Jin, Li Dian, Yoshitsugu Ōtani

Unlockable character: Lu Xun

Clear Chapter 2 to unlock this stage.

Lu Xun led a resistance unit comprised of Wu soldiers who refused to side with Orochi under any circumstances. Sun Ce defeated him initially at Changban, but Orochi sent out Cao Ren to surround him at Xiapi Castle.

Mitsunari Ishida will replace Guo Jia and Li Dian will replace Xu Shu in this battle.

To unlock Lu Xun, escort him to your main camp and complete the battle with your allies still alive.

Chapter 4-X: Battle of Sishui Gate 汜水関の戦い

Coalition Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Okuni, Zhang Jiao, Hanbei Takenaka Enemy characters: Koshōshō, Dong Zhuo, Ina, Lu Lingqi, Lu Bu

Dong Zhuo served Orochi for one reason and one reason only: gold. Orochi was having gold transported to him “for military funding use”. Hearing of this, Hideyoshi Toyotomi gathered an army to ambush the supply units…

This is one of few stages where the unlockable character is different from the original. This was done to maintain Dong Zhuo’s status as a staunch officer of the Orochi Army (and to account for future appearances in other stories).

Hanbei Takenaka will appear in place of Kanbei Kuroda in this battle. Koshōshō will appear as an additional officer in Dong Zhuo’s main camp. Zhang Ji will appear with the first supply captain and Lu Lingqi will take his place to appear with the second supply captain. Lu Bu will continue to appear with the third supply captain.

In the original version, Dong Zhuo will lose faith in Orochi when his gold doesn’t arrive, but in this version, he will proclaim revenge on the Coalition Army while Koshōshō will become intrigued by them. Defeat Koshōshō and Dong Zhuo to win the battle.

To unlock Koshōshō, defeat all supply captains before they reach Dong Zhuo.

Chapter 5-X: Battle of Nagashino 長篠の戦い

Coalition Army and Takeda-Uesugi Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Huang Zhong, Guan Ping Third-party characters: Shingen Takeda, Kenshin Uesugi, Kanetsugu Naoe, Kagekatsu Uesugi Enemy characters: Cao Pi, Sun Quan, Cao Ren, Zhou Tai, Lianshi, Ding Feng, Li Dian, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa, Yoshitsugu Ōtani, Yue Jin

Clear Chapter 5 to unlock this stage.

Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi advanced upon Nagashino, hoping to draw the full attention of the Orochi Army. Their plan worked; Orochi transferred his primary forces from Guandu to Nagashino, leaving Guandu dangerously undermanned.

If Nobunaga were to take advantage of this opportunity and attack Guandu, then a mortal blow could be dealt to Orochi’s ambitions. For this reason, Shingen and Kenshin were prepared to sacrifice themselves. But just as they were prepared to ride to their deaths, help came from an unexpected quarter…

Takakage Kobayakawa will appear with Zhu Huan and Hao Zhao as they attack the Takeda-Uesugi main camp at Nagashino Castle, while Motonari Mōri will appear with Yue Jin and Hiroie Kikkawa as they attack the Tobigasu Garrison. Lianshi and Ding Feng will appear as additional units outside the Orochi Army main camp at Shitaragahara. Li Dian will replace Takatora Tōdō in this battle. Kagekatsu Uesugi will appear with Kanetsugu Naoe when the main cavalry arrives.

During the battle, Cao Ren will be wondering how they can fight if they are prepared to discard their lives to defeat Orochi. To unlock him, rescue Shingen and Kenshin within 5 minutes (originally 2), then defeat him by yourself (preferably while you are escorting the cavalry units to the Maruyama Garrison).

Chapter 6-X: Showdown at Odawara Castle 小田原城決戦 (uses SW2 west map)

Having seized the Orochi Army fortress at Guandu, Nobunaga’s army was riding the crest of a wave. Just at this time, news filtered through of a rebellion against Orochi led by Cao Pi and Mitsunari Ishida at Odawara Castle. The forces of the Orochi Army in Odawara had been severly depleted through the ongoing battle. Nobunaga immediately dispatched a unit to aid the rebellion, thinking that such a golden opportunity should not be overlooked.

Jia Xu will appear among the ambush units in the southern garrison, while Hisahide Matsunaga and Munenori Yagyū will appear among the ambush units in the northern garrison.

Aya can be unlocked in this battle after completing a secret mission, which can be unlocked by defeating Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi after foiling their plans.

See through Sima Yi’s ambush plan by defeating both Yellowbelly and Urutu before they arrive at the northern and southern garrisons. Then see through Zhuge Liang’s empty castle plan by rushing into the central garrison (Mt Ishigaki) alone before your allies do. After defeating Ina and Sun Shangxiang, resume fighting as normal.

After Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi retreat, Aya will appear in an event, explaining that she got lost while she was fleeing the Orochi Army’s attack. She managed to find the Coalition Army and seeing their skill in foiling Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi’s plans, wants to test their skill before she joins them. Defeat Aya in the secret mission and win the battle.

Chapter 7-X: Battle of Kanegasaki 金ヶ崎の戦い

Coalition Army and Honda Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Huang Zhong, Okuni, Xiaoqiao, Kanbei Kuroda Third-party characters: Tadakatsu Honda Enemy characters: Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa, Chen Gong, Yu Jin, Jia Xu, Zhuge Dan, Lu Bu

Clear Chapter 6-X to unlock this stage.

Orochi sent his closest ally, Masamune Date, to the headquarters of the Resistance in Kanegasaki. If Kanegasaki were to fall, it would mean the end of the resistance. In addition, a fatal blunder had been made, leaving Huang Zhong with a very small defense unit…

On the Orochi Army side, Koroku Hachisuka is replaced by another generic officer because why would he be an enemy when he appears as an ally in Chapter 6-X and 8-X? Kojūrō Katakura will appear as an additional officer next to Masamune Date, while Motonari Mōri and Takakage Kobayakawa appear in place of Zhang He and Guo Jia in this battle.

Enemy reinforcements led by Yu Jin, Jia Xu and Zhuge Dan will arrive when the messenger escapes the battlefield or is defeated; in the case of the former, it will provide the Coalition Army with more enemies to defeat so when the allied reinforcements arrive, it doesn’t look like they came for nothing. Kanbei Kuroda will appear in place of Morichika Chōsokabe among the allied reinforcements. Also, the allied reinforcements will arrive two minutes after the messengers escape instead of three minutes.

This is one of four battles required to unlock Tadakatsu Honda. To impress him, guide the messenger to the northeastern garrison as usual. Defeat Lu Bu yourself and allow the messenger to escape. Wait for the allied reinforcements to arrive, then defeat Masamune to win the battle.

An additional condition in the original game was that none of your allies could be defeated, but that condition has been removed in this version.

Chapter 8-X: Battle of Baidi Castle 白帝城の戦い

Coalition Army and Nō Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Nobunaga Oda, Hanbei Takenaka Third-party characters: Nō, Cao Cao Enemy characters: Kotarō Fūma, Lu Bu, Orochi, Da Ji, Diamondback

In Chapter 7, get 1000 KOs to unlock this stage.

Baidi Castle was one of the Orochi Army’s main strongholds. Forced to respond to other uprisings, Orochi had left this castle undermanned. Coordinating with his wife, Lady Nō, who had been freed by Sun Ce, Nobunaga organised a pincer attack on the castle. Just when the castle seemed likely to fall, however, Nobunaga received news that Orochi had sent an enormous force to welcome him…

Hanbei Takenaka is replaced by a generic officer in this battle. Yoshimasa Oka and Morishige Tsuchihashi are replaced by other generic officers because the Saika Renegades should be with Shu.

Orochi will appear in this battle if Chapter 8 has been cleared.

This is one of four battles required to unlock Lu Bu. To impress him, just defeat him without running away from him.
