#mp answers#i've been trying so hard not to be annoying to my bnha friends but if you will allow me to push this for this ask let me say 🙏#if you're afraid of the episode count for one piece the manga is a lot quicker read while being just as enjoyable because the art style is#an actual delight. its great its fantastic im absolutely in love with it#the series is soooo good and i know luffy can seem unappealing to people before they start but he's just SUCH a great character & continues#to be even now. the story is SO GOOD the characters are SO GOOD... theres so much lore and world building that its insane#if you read the manga we get 'cover stories' on what's going on with previous characters to see what theyre up to even though we moved on#from where we left them. a lot of these cover stories blend into the main story so well its just seamless#there's one where we get introduced to a character we dont see hundreds of episodes into the anime and they show up like; during the second#saga. the series is about traveling to other islands and every single arc has been tied to another in some way or form that shows up later#even if its sagas and sagas later- it still becomes relevant again!! it's a huge ongoing story and there isnt a single arc that feels like#it has no purpose (sans filler in the anime-but even then!! some filler arcs are really entertaining!)#it's emotional! its sad! its downright stupid and silly but GOD... you can feel the love that oda put into this series and his characters#and the emotions in the expressions and the messages the story gives off it just makes me UEUHGHHAHGHH!!!#it's all about the adventure and the romance of it all! its about the freedom it brings and bringing freedom to others!#its a series where treasure should be a focus given its pirates and the its a giant treasure hunt for the one piece and yet! and yet so man#of the characters treasures are things that are not coins and gems but people and promises and family and and#im going to EXPLODE i love one piece

Queen of Tears is so interesting cause i've never dealt with two really complex leads like this in romcom (i mean it is funny)
i've said it before but Haein and Hyunwoo know each other very well but don't know each other at all (i don't know if i've ever seen communication issues this bad).
Losing the baby clearly drove them apart. She blamed herself and put up high walls. He wears his heart on his sleeve and cried over it. We can argue that he should've comforted her in that moment but at the same time she clearly knew he was upset so why didn't she go to him? Haein thought she had no right to grieve and consequently Hyunwoo thought she didn't grieve at all. The moment where they needed each other more than ever- the moment they should've been together they both fucked up.
The core of the issue is that they can't read each other's mind, this is literally said at the beginning of 6- they love each other dearly but also tripping over each in the process.
Outside of Hyunwoo jumping up and down at her diagnosis and faking his way into her will (which was painfully cruel and soooo funny) It's very clear that this is a two person game. Although I always interpreted Hyunwoo's joy as the same as the mistress of a wealthy man who is just waiting for him to die so she can get the money, (it's mean but most times the master either sucks or he's naive as hell and she has no reason to mourn) and at that point Hyunwoo's in the same situation.
Why didn't Haein defend him in front of her relatives? Why scold him publicly in front of the employees? She does a lot of things behind the scenes but good intentions can only go so far if object of those affections is ignorant of the full story. The same thing happens in episode 6, she is trying to protect Hyunwoo from her family but without telling him so he is ignorant of the big picture. Why wasn't Hyunwoo honest with his feelings? Why is he always assuming the worst when she never explicitly says something? We see he tries to talk to her (it fails) but his fear of upsetting her leads him to do otherwise cruel things to keep her happy.
Which is also why the divorce paper is so interesting. That paper was one of the best things he’s done. He was completely justified in writing that. It breaks Haein's heart but severing ties like that was way healthier than him forcing himself to stay in this marriage and pamper her with fake love.
One thing I will admire this piece for is the role reversal, like i'm seeing so many typical fl tropes on Hyunwoo and ml tropes on Haein. You ever read one those isekai or time reverse manwha's were the fl goes back in time to get a divorce but falls in love with her partner again? yeah this is the same exact thing.

BatFam AU that I never talk about because I'm an IronFam account:
AU where Dick is either a Talon or isn't a vigilante anymore, Jason never revived or he went MIA after the Joker confrontation, Tim never regained sanity or is also not a vigilante anymore, and Damian either died or overthrew Ra's Al Ghul, CADMUS goes through with Project Batman Beyond and actually succeeds - Terry McGinnis witnesses his parents die right in front of him at the age of 7 - 8. However, this tragedy included the death of Matthew McGinnis, a one year old who was caught in the crossfire due to being held by his mother after walking out of the movies. Struck by her own sins of letting this project thrive, and thus result in the death of 3 innocents ("One was a child, god, one was a baby...") Amanda Waller decides that Batman was just meant to live and die by one man. Somehow, for some reason or another, 7 - 8 year old Terry gets fuckin' BLASTED into the canon lore universe and has to go through his newfound trauma while Bruce discovers and dazedly takes in a new blood son, Dick immediately adopts him, Jason is hesitant because he's edgy, Tim is hesitant about being targeted again, Cass immediately adopts him, and Damian (who has only been with the family two years MAX) has issues about not being the only blood son anymore.

So my impressions of ds9 characters so far are as follows:
Benjamin Sisko: he’s fine. i like the man. sometimes when he talks about baseball his eyes light up and it’s adorable but the rest of the time he’s a good captain, but i’m not intrigued
Kira Nerys: look, i am gay and i am weak. i love her so much. she’s hot as fuck and she has a complex moral backstory. she’s affronted by everything. i would die for her
Miles O’Brien: he’s an angel and he’s the only reason this space station hasn’t fallen apart. deeply under appreciated. that is all.
Odo: he’s so grumpy and his lack of patience for any humanoid bullshit is pristine. want to adopt, 10/10, no comments
Jadzia Dax: another one where like, she’s fine. i like her plenty, she’d probably be a delight to work with, but at the moment I feel no strong connection to her as a character. i hope they give her more storylines, or let her at least kiss women she used to love as Curzon Dax. i also wish men would stop being weird to her, i hate that it’s a recurring thing.
Julian Bashir: he’s an asshole, he’s a baby, he’s a brat and i adore him
Quark: i would eviscerate this man on sight. he’s despicable. i hope he’s in every episode
Garak: look he’s only been in one episode so far but he was a delight. absolutely incapable of not acting incredibly suspicious or weird
Jake Sisko: baby. baby boy. same with nog. their friendship has cleared my skin, watered my crops, etc, etc
