Giantheo: “Tommy al Lunapark”

Dopo tre singoli nella Top Ten della Classifica Indipendenti, il duo bresciano torna con un nuovo singolo dedicato ai sogni e desideri di un bambino

Dopo un anno di successi nel 2023, tra cui tre singoli nella Top Ten della Classifica Indipendenti, i Giantheo tornano con il loro ultimo singolo, "Tommy al Lunapark", una canzone dedicata al figlio di Theo, Tommaso, di 9 anni.

Il testo di "Tommy al Lunapark" rappresenta l'esperienza di vita e i desideri di Tommaso. Alcune frasi sono tratte da situazioni reali della vita familiare, mentre altre sono ispirate dai video dei tik toker che il bambino ama guardare. La canzone è semplice all'ascolto e tocca il cuore di chiunque abbia mai sognato di essere al Luna Park.

Il video musicale, diretto dal talentuoso regista Mauro Cartapani, accompagna la canzone in un viaggio onirico in auto. Le due ambientazioni nel video sono volutamente diverse: una rappresenta lo stile regolato e sveglio di un bambino, mentre l'altra cattura il suo vero carattere sognatore.

Nel 2003 Giancarlo Prandelli incontra Matteo Sainaghi, in arte Theo e da subito si crea un magico feeling che li porta a formare i Giantheo. Praticamente esordienti partecipano alla trasmissione “Le Iene” su Italia1 ed entrano con il brano “Tortuga” nella compilation “Cantatù vol.6” e “Superestate latina”. Vincono il Festivalshow e partecipano in tutta Italia a trasmissioni televisive e festival. Sono protagonisti del tour di Rtl 102.5 e ospiti del tour di Sanremo giovani. Terminato questo periodo entrambi si dedicano a una serie di progetti paralleli. In particolare Giancarlo Prandelli, cantante, compositore, autore, artista, polistrumentista, arrangiatore, audio engineer, programmatore e produttore discografico italiano, realizza innumerevoli produzioni e collaborazioni per artisti, tra i quali Laura Pausini, Mina, Omar Pedrini, Fausto Leali, Laura Abela, Michela Coppa, Nina Morić, Blanco, e tanti altri. È figlio di Sergio Prandelli (già figlio del musicista Andrea Prandelli) e rappresenta tre generazioni di musicisti e produttori. Theo compone brani rap sin dalla fine degli anni ‘80, ma coltiva contemporaneamente la sua passione sportiva diventando personal trainer e laureandosi in Fisioterapia e scienze motorie. Diventa presidente e fondatore della GDM, acronimo di Ginnastica Dinamica Militare Italiana ed è autore del libro “Intelligenza Motoria”. Negli anni ‘90 crea, insieme a Michel Altieri il Gruppo Trendist Attitude, che li porta a lavorare come performer nei migliori club Italiani ed esteri del periodo.

Dopo questa pausa i due decidono di riformare i Giantheo pubblicando un primo singolo dal titolo “Conchiglie” a cui segue “Catene”. Questo secondo brano in particolare nasce da un idea di Theo ed è ispirato al progetto della GDM Italiana. A maggio 2022 esce il primo singolo del nuovo progetto “Uni Verso” che raggiunge le vette delle classifiche italiani indipendenti, seguito a settembre dall'intensa ballad “Mar Profondo”, anch'essa al top delle rotazioni radiofoniche. Il 2023 è l’anno di “Quattro stagioni” (gennaio) e “Figli delle stelle” (maggio).

Idealista ed un po’ sognatore... non le dosi le dannate parole, come me.

Non ci ripensavo affatto, ma L’Aura è la cantante che ha segnato gli anni in cui ero innamorata cotta di lui.

Talmente innamorata cotta che non riuscivo a vedere nessun altro, che non riuscivo a uscire dal tunnel di autolesionismo sentimentale in cui mi ero infilata, che non riuscivo a vedere quanto quella situazione fosse dannosa, sotto ogni punto di vista possibile e immaginabile.

Quando, durante lo showcase, L’Aura ha detto che la persona che ha ispirato molte delle nuove canzoni era presente al precedente showcase ma non a questo perché non era stato invitato ho sentito come un ruggito di soddisfazione interiore che mi ha trasportata cinque/sei metri sopra il suolo, con una soddisfazione selvaggia che non comprendevo.

Poi ho capito.

Quel “lui” non è più invitato nemmeno nella mia vita, anche se chiaramente è un diverso “lui” e c’è una storia totalmente differente.

Il mio “lui” non è più lontanamente invitato nella mia vita, anche se ogni tanto fa capolino nella mia testa, quando per un motivo, quando per un altro… adesso ho la sua età quando mi sono innamorata di lui a poco più di 20 anni e solo a quell’età mi sarei potuta innamorare di lui così. 

Ne sono sicura. Quasi al 100%.

Insomma, questo nuovo disco di L’Aura, “Il Contrario dell’Amore”, già lo adoro per una lunga serie di motivi, tra cui il fatto che quell’introduzione a quella canzone, così carica di grinta e di soddisfazione per l’assenza di quella persona specifica, mi ha fatto decisamente bene.

Have you ever been to Vegas: sadly. I won a trip to Vegas for CES (consumer electronic something or other) because I got first place in a hackathon (developer/designer get together for 48 hours to put together a working prototype of an app that is judged). It was a 7 day trip and was 6 days too long. I did have a yardgarita tho!

Stupidest thing you’ve ever done: This is going to be a lame answer, but not follow my heart more. I wanted to do animation in high school but thought it was a silly dream. Now 15 years later I regret that (though web design is okay). I also struggled to let who I am show - bottled it into this conservative cast that was not me at all (no issue if that is you!) and was miserable for 10 years. Only recently have I been ‘me’ and I feel so much better.

Bachelor Party

There were beer maidens in the Gull and Lantern. Big beautiful women with flowers in their hair and aprons the color of sky. All of them were human, and they moved through the tavern with an endearing sense of purpose. Mead? they’d say to the men and the women alike, their smiles filled with gratitude and mystery.

Solas had half a mind to think that at least four of them were spies. Bards who’d found a better angle with which to gather valuable information on the vulnerable nobility of Ferelden. Some of them may have even been working with Leliana. With the Inquisition at half-mast, she still kept a neat stockpile in her back pocket. You never know when you might need to kick someone in the pants, Inquisitor. That’s what she’d said to Sene last they saw her. It was at their wedding, and as a gift, she’d brought them a porcelain tea set hand-painted by the wealthiest hedge witch of Rivain.

He and Abelas sat across from one another in a booth in the back. The wood was dark, but there was a window, and they had a view of the yellow lanterns outside. This was Redcliffe, so Abelas’s home turf, and he was moving on with his life and newly engaged. The men of the Dalish clan to which his fiance belonged—her name was El, El of Clan Druana—had thrown him a rather raucous affair that very day. But Sene and Solas arrived in the evening, and Sene was with El and the women now at a moonlit bridal shower, and so Solas took Abelas out for something city proper. A proper bachelor party in a proper pub in the village.

They had smoked a whole bowl of elfroot before coming inside. Now they were both like balloons in a storm, floating and turbulent. These were men that you didn’t want to fuck with, but they were both so calm, the only way you knew was to look at the sheer size of them. Abelas in particular—he was not taller than Solas, but he had a chest like a barrel, a genuine farm boy, bred in the Backwater. Solas, meanwhile, had the cosmopolitan edge. He was better with girls, and he knew how to command a room with a kind of smirking ease that Abelas had always admired. He was several years younger and looked up to Solas as a brother and always had. That night, together, they were dreamy.

“Do you ever notice how the human women here,” said Abelas, “how they have a wider gate than the elven women?” He had a rolling paper between his fingers, was folding it into a little paper crane. He was fascinated by the women of the new world. “Even the tallest elves, like Sene—they do not have that.”

“Sene is unique,” said Solas, his head sort of dropped back. He was looking at the ceiling, chewing a toothpick. “She’s incredibly athletic. That’s not typical of any woman. Or any man for that matter.”

“Yes, but these beer maidens here. All of them, small or big—their bodies move differently. Like oceans. They swell. Do you see?”

Solas smirked. He was on the edge of nothing. He thought they were all pretty, in their way. He knew Abelas did as well. He sort of wished they could leave it at that. “What are their names?” he said. “Do you know?”

“They all have simple names,” said Abelas, placing the paper crane in the center of his palm. “That one is Mindy. That one is Laura.”

“Your fiance has a simple name,” said Solas. “El, that is simple.”

“El is short for El’u’leal.”

Solas raised his eyebrows. “Window?”

“Yes.”

“Do you ever just come to the tavern,” said Solas, leaning forward on his elbows, “without analyzing every single person inside it, Abelas? I think life would be much simpler for you if you did.”

“My life is already simple,” said Abelas. “I work on a dairy farm.”

“Does that bore you?”

“No,” said Abelas. He blew the paper crane from his palm. It flew away magically into the air. “I enjoy it. It is fulfilling, the way I was raised.”

“Good.”

“What do you do all day?” said Abelas. “If you don’t mind my asking.” Somewhere, the paper crane landed on one of the beer maidens. She laughed, and flicked it out of her hair. It plucked back up into the air like a humming bird.

“Sometimes nothing,” said Solas, taking a long drink from his cup. “Other times, Sene and I are in Winter Palace negotiations from morning till night. Sometimes, we have to be Lavellans, which mostly means philanthropy. Or drinking. It’s exhausting.”

“Your life?”

“No,” said Solas. “Drinking with Sene’s clan.”

“Ah.”

“How do you feel, Abelas?” said Solas. He was spinning the cup on the table. It was made of steel. “About your wedding. About El.”

“I feel correct,” said Abelas, studying his hands. He pushed the hair out of his face, scrached an itch on his eyebrow. He was fidgety, but this wasn’t nerves. It was just the agitation of the bar. He loved people. They invited him to learn and to feel things. This gave him energy. “I love El. I believe we’re happy.”

“You believe you’re happy?” said Solas. “Or, you are happy? There’s a difference.”

Abelas shifted in his seat, a big man. The wood creaked beneath him, and he finished his drink. “I am happy,” he said. “Happy is not complicated, Solas. Happy is what it is.”

Solas smirked and emptied his glass. He held it up in the air. “I agree.”

One of the beer maidens came over. She was tall and had beautiful long, black hair. She had a note pad with which to take orders and Abelas’s little paper crane perched on her shoulder. “Is this yours?” she said to Abelas. She was smiling. She had apples in her cheeks.

“Yes, it is,” he said. “Thank you for returning it intact.”

“Anytime,” she said. “What can I get you boys?”

They ordered another round, and then they played cards. The dreamy beer maidens passed and Abelas put more paper cranes in the air. At some point, Solas made some butterflies, just for fun, and the whole tavern was like a garden, swimming with glowy nature. The girls all liked the glowy nature. Every single one of them, as they always did. They were enchanted, and everywhere, in every corner, their laughter filled the skies.

Noi litighiamo e Madre Natura balla al centro: Il nuovo brano del duo formato da Giancarlo e Matteo punta dritto al rapporto malato che l’uomo ha nei confronti del mondo e della sua natura. “Madre Terra” infatti sottolinea l’assoluta indiscriminazione che questo pianeta fa sui suoi abitanti che sono gli unici che invece discriminano per razza, sesso, comportamenti sociali e bandiere territoriali. 
«Madre Natura è di tutti, unisce i popoli e ideologie, l’uomo non vince mai nonostante si creda onnipotente o manipolatore». Giantheo.

Il nuovo singolo del duo di produttori bresciani Un connubio fra musica e amore

Il duo formato da Giancarlo e Matteo pubblica un nuovo brano che punta dritto alle emozioni grazie alle parole scelte da Theo, il paroliere del gruppo, che in questo testo si è lasciato guidare dall’amore. «Racconta una storia in cui tutti potranno trovare un pezzo del loro vissuto o quasi» Giantheo. 
L’arrangiamento e le sonorità, firmate da Giancarlo, si arricchiscono dell’alchimia che scatta immediatamente fra i due amici appena si ritrovano in studio. In questo modo i due artisti intendono il loro fare musica, figlia dell’amore e delle stelle.

Il nuovo singolo del duo di produttori bresciani Un omaggio al cantautorato italiano, ad un ritorno alle origini che passa dalle parole

Il testo di “Quattro stagioni” è una poesia tradotta in musica che si rifà alle origini del cantautorato italiano. Tema centrale del brano è la comunicazione, quella vera, fatta di parole e sguardi, arricchita di segnali di affetto e riconoscenza, incapace di passare di moda nonostante sia spesso messa a dura prova.

Nel 2003 Giancarlo Prandelli incontra Matteo Sainaghi, in arte Theo e da subito si crea un magico feeling che li porta a formare i Giantheo. Praticamente esordienti partecipano alla trasmissione «le Iene» su Italia1 ed entrano con il brano Tortuga nella compilations Cantatù vol.6 e Superestate latina. Vincono il Festivalshow e partecipano in tutta Italia a trasmissioni televisive e festival. Sono protagonisti del tour di Rtl 102.5 e ospiti del tour di Sanremo giovani. Terminato questo periodo entrambi si dedicano a una serie di progetti paralleli. In particolare Giancarlo Prandelli, cantante, compositore, autore, artista, polistrumentista, arrangiatore, audio engineer, programmatore e produttore discografico italiano, realizza innumerevoli produzioni e collaborazioni per artisti, tra i quali Laura Pausini, Mina, Omar Pedrini, Fausto Leali, Laura Abela, Michela Coppa, Nina Morić, Blanco, e tanti altri. È figlio di Sergio Prandelli (già figlio del musicista Andrea Prandelli) e rappresenta tre generazioni di musicisti e produttori. Theo compone brani rap sin dalla fine degli anni ‘80, ma coltiva contemporaneamente la sua passione sportiva diventando personal trainer e laureandosi in Fisioterapia e scienze motorie. Diventa presidente e fondatore della GDM, acronimo di Ginnastica Dinamica Militare Italiana ed è autore del libro «Intelligenza Motoria». Negli anni ‘90 crea, insieme a Michel Altieri il Gruppo Trendist Attitude, che li porta a lavorare come performer nei migliori club Italiani ed esteri del periodo.

Dopo questa pausa i due decidono di riformare i Giantheo pubblicando un primo singolo dal titolo Conchiglie a cui segue Catene. Questo secondo brano in particolare nasce da un idea di Theo ed è ispirato al progetto della GDM Italiana. A maggio è uscito il primo singolo del nuovo progetto Uni Verso che raggiunge le vette delle classifiche italiani indipendenti, seguito a settembre dall'intensa ballad Mar Profondo, anch'essa al top delle rotazioni radiofoniche
