A mediados de los 80, pasaba por delante del Restaurante que fundó Juan José Castillo al menos una vez a la semana para ir a León, Valladolid y Madrid. Con el 205 GTI en aquellos años y a primera hora de la mañana el trayecto se hacía rápido, muy muy rápido. Enfrente del restaurante Castillo estaban las instalaciones primeras de carrocerías Irizar, la cooperativa que comenzó a fabricar autobuses, pero en aquellos mediados de los 80 a partir del 86, allí se fabricaban los paneles de la carrocería y el interior del Lamborghini LM002.
Ahora no hay un fabricante de coches que no tenga un SUV o un Todo Terreno, pero en aquellos años tomar el motor 5Litros V12 de 455 CV del Countach y ponerlo delante en un chasis de tubos para hacer un TT era algo muy muy osado. Lo de LM venía de Lamborghini Militare, para un concurso de prototipos para el ejército USA, y lo de 002 era el número de prototipos desarrollados.
Al ejercito USA no le interesó el modelo, aunque después el HUMMER se parecería bastante.
La cuestión es que a los señores del desierto les pareció muy atractivo este mastodonte de 2,7 toneladas que podía circular a 200 km/hora por las arenas del desierto, entre cuero y nogal con un potentisimo aire acondicionado, sin importar los no menos de 35 litros que consumía a nada que pusieras el pié en el acelerador. Para ello llevaba dos depósitos de gasolina con nada menos que 290 litros de super y que garantizaba que los 2 metros de ancho x 1,80 de altura no se quedaran sin carburante en mitad del desierto. Los de Lamborghini dijeron haber fabricado 301, pero en aquellos tiempos de variados cambios de manos y ruinas podía ser perfectamente una maniobra para encontrar socios.
Para mí es de una desproporción abrumadora, pero no deja de ser una graciosa osadía muy propia de aquellos años. Verle a Keke Rosberg acudir al GP de Mónaco en él era muy curioso, así como ver la unidad que tenía el equipo Leyton House de F1 pintada en su particularísimo color corporativo.
Ahora con todos los fabricantes de superdeportivos haciendo vehículos tan o más desproporcionados, ya casi no llamaría la atención, pero al lado de mi 205 parecía un camión.

There’s a small chuckle as a sigh leaves his mouth, almost looking upset upon the discussion of his ‘beloved’ God being slaughtered. “The Archon. Tis a shame what happen to Liyues own protector. It doesn’t seem to bother him as he laughs softly once more. Almost looking amused as a somewhat... menacing smile forms. “It also goes to show that the people of Liyue need some history lessons and should read the ancient texts provided to them more. However... I suppose the ignorance of most of the population works in his favour. Gods such as him aren’t easy to kill my friend...”
A finger then raises to his lips as a small ‘hmm’ sound is made. “I suppose we should keep the fact his death might not have been real a secret. After all. If he did die, the entire city would have ended up destroyed upon his death. And there must be a reason he decided to go into hiding?”

Callum is easygoing and happy, with a ready grin. He’s one of the friendliest people in the paddock with fans and other drivers alike. He’s got the typical dry British sense of humor and can be self-depreciating, except when it comes to his racing. In that area, he is analytical, confident in his own abilities and ready to offer constructive criticism to his team every time he gets out of the car.
