DISCLAIMER: This is not a review. I am in no way a professional at all to do a movie review. I am not a critic at all. The only reason why I’m doing this is because I used to talk to my dad a lot about movies. I can’t do that anymore. This is just my reactions watching this.

it’s a movie focusing on women and art. i love it already.

70% of the movie fucking hating Betty because she reminded me of the stupid toxic friends i had growing up. like shut the fuck up betty not everyone has the same standard and opinion as you

feeling really bad for Katherine during her first class cause they fucking nailed her on a board. but at the same time, wow, women really are something.

Joan, my favorite one. Katherine’s favorite one, supposedly, I guess.

No, wait, Connie is my favorite one. She was literally just a teenage girl, really. Being a teenage girl. And stupid fucking Betty just rains on her parade all the fucking time.

Katherine Watson is the mother I wanted and never had. Didn’t fucking give a shit if she was a single woman in her 30s when women were getting married at 18 cause it was “all women were good for” in that age. She set SUCH an example. Which is basically the point of the whole movie sorry HAHAHA

Alice visits the greats of Dayton!

Hi, everybody! It's me, Alice! I promised to tell you all about my hometown, and I can't wait to get started! I'm going to give you a tour of Woodland Cemetery, which is the perfect place to start if you're learning Dayton history. All the city's most important and exciting people are buried here. It's a beautiful place, not spooky at all! C'mon, let's go!

A short walk from the main entrance is a section of Civil War graves. This is special to me because my Uncle Patrick fought for the Union. Some of his friends are buried here.

See the huge cannon?

I always stop to read the inscription. It makes me feel even more grateful for what Uncle Patrick and his friends did for our country.

Okay, next stop! This one is kind of sad. It's also the most famous grave here. Johnny Morehouse was a little boy who drowned in a canal. His dog tried to save him, but it was too late. The legend goes that his dog stayed by his grave day and night because it was so faithful to its little master.

You can see that people still leave gifts for Johnny. See the ball and pennies?

Close by is a figure much less tragic. See the guy up there in a chair? That's Adam Schantz. He owned a bunch of breweries downtown. I think the Briscoe Brothers would like him, don't you?

Here's something really neat. This monument is for a family of gypsies, the Stanleys. There are gypsy queens and kings buried around this huge marker. Dayton has so many special people, even royalty!

James M. Cox is our next stop. He was Governor of Ohio and even ran for President in 1920. Can you guess who his running mate was? Franklin D. Roosevelt!

Do you like poetry? Dayton has a famous poet, too! This is the grave of Paul Laurence Dunbar, one of the first prominent black poets in America. He wrote all kinds of poems, but my favorite of his is "Dinah Kneading Dough."

His marker even has a little poem on it.

Just a baseball throw from Mr. Dunbar are two of his friends -- VERY famous friends! Can you guess who they are?

THE WRIGHT BROTHERS!

Wilbur and Orville Wright are Dayton's most famous citizens for sure. They made the first successful airplane flight in 1903 -- that's the year I was born! See, here's Wilbur. Someone left little shells and a toy airplane on his headstone!

The last grave I'm going to show you is very important to me personally. John H. Patterson founded the National Cash Register Company, or NCR. My dad works for Mr. Patterson, and boy, is he proud to! Mr. Patterson pretty much single-handedly saved Dayton after the horrible 1913 Flood. He used all of his factory resources and his personal wealth to rescue stranded people, provide food and shelter, and reunite families like mine. I don't know what we'd have done without him. He deserves a giant monument like this!

And here's right where he's buried. Thank you, Mr. Patterson!

That was our last grave on the tour, but don't go just yet! I have a big surprise for you! Follow me up the hill to this gazebo...

... and enjoy the best view of Dayton you'll ever see!

Whew! That was fun, but it sure was a lot of walking. I think we deserve a reward, don't you? Let me take you just one more place. Right out the back gate of Woodland Cemetery is a real Dayton treasure -- Esther Price Candies!

I promise you, Esther Price makes the best chocolate candy you'll ever taste! I don't have much spending money, so I can't afford a whole box. But they sell little bags of "rejects," which are candies that didn't come out quite nice enough looking to sell at full price. But they're still just as delicious! I just had to buy a bag!

And now I can share a taste of Dayton with my closest friends!
