A ROYAL CONJURER
Prince Albert of Wales, who has just celebrated his eighth birthday, has a great fancy for performing conjuring tricks, and was presented some time ago by Queen Alexandra with a box containing many curious conjuring wonders, which the young Prince can manipulate very cleverly.
On his eighth birthday Prince Albert was promised by the King a conjuring performance of a very high-class order, and accordingly Mr. Charles Bertram was bidden to appear at Sandringham, where he gave a masterly exhibition of his sleight of hand much to the young Prince’s delight, who now strives to equal that clever performer.

Did queen Mary accuse queen Alexandra of theft in regard to some jewelries?
Hi anon!
Not theft exactly…
Once King Edward VII died, George and Mary had some trouble getting Alexandra out of Buckingham palace and to hand over the jewels that belonged to the Queen (not herself personally) as she had become quite attached to them.
The poor woman was mourning her husband and was quite reluctant to suddenly be moved.
I do believe George and Mary gave her space for as long as they could, but as tradition stands it is the reigning King and Queen who reside in the Palace as so eventually (after quite a lot of persuading if I recall right) Alexandra finally moved out and took up permanent residence in Sandringham (which G and M were perfectly happy to concede was HER home as Edward VII built it for her, even though it did belong to the Crown).
So no, not exactly theft, but I do believe both G and M were getting a little frustrated that Alix was holding up the entire transition by refusing to move. That’s why, when George V died, Mary moved out almost immediately into Marlborough House in order to not impede the process.
Hope this help!
