THE NEW EMPLOYEE: MOVIE (NOVEMBER 3, 2023)

The much talk about series was released as a movie with a few additional scenes in Korea. Well Rakuten Viki has finally released it.

Here is the love scene edited or more like removed from the series.

Seung Hyun (MOON JI YONG) has fallen for his gorgeous boss and vice versa. Before learning Kim Jong Chan (KWON HYUK) dated his college crush the virginal Seung Hyun gives in to his boss. But the next morning while Kim Jong Chan if off to buy food Seung Hyun finds the fountain pen he helped pick out. Hurt, he leaves with out word later sending a text saying he was going home because he wasn't feeling well.

Moving

Moving went from:

A high school drama

to superheroes

to spy thriller

to bromance

to slow burn romance

to Kill Bill level action gore

to slice of life showing the most heartwarming moments between the adults and kids,

to the ultimate enemy stand-off,

to tragic backstories of the so called villains,

to found family

to much needed family reunions!

Moving aced all genres and emotions!

Moving has reshuffled my entire all time favourite Kdrama list - Kingdom stays at the Top, Moving comes second, followed by Hot Stove League and Reply 1988.

I have so much to write , so much to unpack - I’m rewatching it and will keep posting my thoughts!

I so love this drama and every single member of the cast! Everyone nailed the role they were given - big or small!

SUMMARY: Caught in a game of punishing resurrection, a man who took his own life tries to find meaning in hanging on.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Pillar demons, citron tea, hundreds of cover letters, finding meaning in the mundane, fated connections, bullies, prison, male models, car chases, MMA, chair-fighting, gut-wrenching regret, hopelessness, redemption, and a dizzying number of A-list celebrities.

HOT TAKE: Episode 4 of this show broke me, hard. Although the plot is simple and a bit repetitive, every single acting performance is stellar. The character connections made with each new story gives the overarching experience real depth and emotion, and I can't wait for the second part coming in 2024.

For anyone confused about the whole pen situation in the new ep of The New Employee:

The initials on the pen Seung Hyun found at the bed side are NYS. And whose initials are those? Na Yoo Seong. Maybe he even gave Yoo Seong the pen idk.

Yoo Seong is the man Seung Hyun had a crush on in uni. The one he followed to grad school. We don't quite know the extent of their relationship but it's clear he and Seung Hyun had some history.

My guess is that Seung Hyun suspects that his current crush and his old crush had something going on previously and I'm sure that felt like a smack in the face to him so he just bounced instead of asking Jong Chan about it. Sigggggggggghhhhh.
