10 Fandoms, 10 Characters, 10 Tags
Thank you to @sinvulkt for the tag :D Let's go...
Rey (Star Wars Sequels)
Rey is at this stage by some way the character I've spilled the most ink over, specifically a post-TLJ Rey Nobody. I love her curiosity, her loyalty and that core of wounded anger. I want her to be happy and kick baddies in the head.
2. Ikrie (Horizon: Forbidden West)
Shape a woman out of abandonment issues and give her a spear. With so little screentime, she's such a fully-formed character, tough yet vulnerable, flitting between rambunctious and melancholy, and "I never cared about the Werak" cuts me to the bone each time.
3. Shiban Khan (The Horus Heresy)
Broken down and built back up, two or three times over. It's heartbreaking to see how he falls into bitterness over the course of the Heresy, and then glorious to see him rise again and become one of his Legion's greatest heroes.
4. Barristan Selmy (A Song of Ice and Fire)
It's fascinating to watch a character shaking off decades of swallowed doubts, forced to evolve by events. If we ever get The Winds of Winter, I hope his progression continues.
5. Keeve Trennis (Star Wars: The High Republic)
Adorable, great haircut, bold and passionate yet warring with impostor syndrome. Also swears like a Corellian kriffing docker, and she has a neat splitting saberstaff. What's not to love?
6. Theoden (The Lord of the Rings)
It still amazes me upon rewatching The Two Towers that Bernard Hill doesn't just walk off with the whole film, his performance is so magnificent. I don't think there's really anything I can add which hasn't been said already.
7. Caitlyn Kirramen (Arcane)
Lawful good, beginning to realise just how how questionable the good of the law she serves is. Her evolving dynamic with Vi is great, she's tougher than those around her expect and of course, she's so very very pretty.
8. Stephen Maturin (Master and Commander)
A canny spy who is nonetheless perpetually baffled and exasperated by the nautical world he has inveigled himself into. Also a thorough nerd.
9. Mahit Dzmare & Three Seagrass (A Memory Called Empire & A Desolation Called Peace)
Cheating a little in part because I couldn't find a solo pic of Mahit that wasn't AI-generated and also because I love them so very much, your honour. These little bundles of anxiety and constant second-guessing, pitched into events far more massive and momentous than anything either had imagined. And they have moments of intimacy to eat rocks for.
10. Yrica Quell (Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron)
You can fit so much guilt and conflict in this bad girl. Quell has arguably the most fascinating "Imperial defector" arc in all the Star Wars media I've read, as she undergoes this evolving moral struggle across her trilogy.

Round 2 is over! Let's recap:
A Bracket, Day One: Easy Pete crushed Santiago's post-presidential assassination aspirations in a landslide; Red Lucy avenged Maj. Elizabeth Kieran's incredibly close Round 1 loss by similarly crushing the poll's most pathetic man, Beagle, in a victory for feminism; Old Ben climbed further in the ranks with a close win over Manny Vargas*; and Ranger Ghost sailed into Round 3 over Tommy Torini.
A Bracket, Day Two: Heartthrob Harland desecrated Pvt. Kowalski in the round's first of several dramatic upsets; the #TRASHSWEEP continued well apace by laying waste to Pacer; Swank and his big ol' eyes saw a win over old Ranger Andy; and the love for 10 of Spades carried him to victory over his fellow NCR soldier Maj. Knight*.
A Bracket, Day Three: The Hadrian Gang unfortunately could not survive against the high-seed monster, Fantastic; Rotface gave Boxcars a tip: get eliminated from the tournament; the Garret Twins made a smear on the sidewalk out of bubbly Brotherhood initiate Melissa Watkins; and Ignacio Rivas's* good nature wasn't enough to take down Trudy from Goodsprings.
A Bracket, Day Four: Fan-favorite Keely utterly crucified houndmaster Antony, which has knocked every member of Caesar's Legion who isn't a slave from the tournament completely; Mr. RADical successfully just laid there while Jimmy* from Casa Madrid couldn't impress; Regis from the Great Khans just barely eked out the W to make Cliff Briscoe extinct; and Mick & Ralph pulled an overnight upset against Old Lady Gibson to punch their ticket.
B Bracket, Day One: Daisy Whitman blew up Raquel; Ringo wrecked Ramos; preliminary fave Angela Williams pulled off an astonishing upset against number two seed Oliver Swanick; and Allen Marks' victory over Crandon & Jules goes to show that the corpses keep winning.
B Bracket, Day Two: Beatrix Russell ate Chomps Lewis; Emily Ortal left Pvt. Kyle Edwards in the radioactive dust; The Lonesome Drifter drifted easily into Round 3 over Michael Angelo & Kate; and Siri beat Malcolm Holmes but not without a surprising amount of turnout for the cap-collecting good samaritan.
B Bracket, Day Three: No-Bark Noonan opened up the all-Khans bracket by kicking Oscar Velasco out of the tournament; Jessup & McMurphy successfully defeated a frail and sickly child; Melissa Lewis succeeded where her father had failed the day before with a victory over Cannibal Johnson; Doctor Usanagi proves that STEM is more valuable than an English degree by giving Jerry the Punk another beating.
B Bracket, Day Four: Big Beard & Little Beard trounce the Gundersons, probably because Heck was the only one with a beard; Chris Haversam throws Meyers back in the clink; Mister Holdout couldn't hold out against Sarah Weintraub; and finally, in the single most massive (624 votes) and close (tied as late midnight with 500 votes) and polarizing (just check the notes) match-up in the entire tournament so far, Calamity the ghoul pulled an upset over Cpl. Betsy*, who's probably dealing with her loss in therapy. Hopefully Dr. Usanagi doesn't bring up her own win.
*Happy Pride Month, losers! The first round of June and literally every canonically queer character (except for Red Lucy, bisexual [edit: and Sarah Weintraub, also bisexual!]) got voted out, and that's hilarious. Funniest possible thing that could have happened on here, the gay and transgender website, during the gay and transgender month, in a tournament for the gay and transgender video game. (Beatrix Russell and Old Ben might also be exceptions, but it's minor; I only can't remember if you can sleep with them as the same sex or not when they're working at the Atomic Wrangler, but even then they may just be gay4pay. Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
You can see all of the Round 2 polls here, and the tournament bracket has been updated so that you can get a preview of the matches yet to come in Round 3. Voting will pause for a bit while I prepare graphics and bracket posts, so use this downtime to mourn the fallen, celebrate the risen, and submit designated cheerleader endorsements for your favorite remaining characters in their upcoming rounds. It's only going to get more tense from here!

Revenge is Not Worth the Price that You Pay
According to an English mathematician Isaac Barrow, “It is commonly said that revenge is sweet, but to a calm and considerate mind, patience, and forgiveness are sweeter”. I believe that this quote is true and I do think that a lot of people do give this chance. Many people in this world are willing to forgive people who have wronged them. A lot of the time it has to deal with people apologizing and making things right with the people that they hurt. Now there can be other times when people do not want to forgive. Sometimes they decide that revenge would be the perfect solution since that other person got revenge. Angered or hurt? on them. Getting revenge isn’t the right answer, and people should just stop trying to hurt each other.
When people get revenge, they think it's the best thing ever, but in reality, it isn't as good as they think. Does the hatred end up going the way that the people thought it would? No, it doesn't because many people who get the vengeance they think deserve end up not being happy about the justice they were able to get.
Throughout history, people have been getting revenge on each other. One example is a kid named Alam Khan. He saw his father get murdered by a family friend. For 12 years he spent his time planning to get revenge. Alam ended up killing the family friend and chopped him into twelve parts since he had to wait so long for his revenge.
Another example is during World War II. Japan decided to bomb us at Pearl Harbor so we decided to go and bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Besides getting justice in the real world, we also have TV shows that show us different types of revenge that people get.
Once Upon a Time is a TV show that has a lot of magic, friendships, fun trips, and revenge. In Season 2 Episode 4 we have a bit of spitefulness between two characters in the show. Captain Hook stole a man's wife, and they were gonna go on many adventures together. Eventually, the husband, named Rumpelstiltskin (Mr. Gold), found out and went to go find his wife. There was an altercation between the two men, which didn’t end well. Rumpelstiltskin ended up ripping out his wife's heart so that his wife and Captain Hook (Killian Jones) couldn’t be together. Captain Hook went after Rumpelstiltskin for revenge since he killed the woman that he loved but it ended in him getting his hand cut off.
Going from one crazy show to another crazy show about revenge. I have a TV show called Scream that originally aired on MTV which involves a lot of blood, gore, murder, and revenge.
Piper Shaw who is one of the main characters in the Season 1 of Scream tries to get revenge on Emma Duval and her mom Maggie Duval. Shaw wanted justice because Maggie played a part in her dad’s death when they were teenagers. Another thing is that Maggie gave up Piper after she gave birth to her and Piper ended up living in an orphanage her whole life. In the end, Emma and her friend Audrey ended up shooting Piper. Which is the end of her story but in Season 2 we have a new killer. Kieran Wilcox the boyfriend of Emma ends up being the new killer. He was Piper Shaw’s accomplice during Season 1 but also her lover. Wilcox wants revenge on Emma and Audrey since they shot Piper. Eventually, Kieran Wilcox gets caught and ends up in jail but instead of going to court, he ends up getting killed by Emma’s dad.
From dealing with two crazy people killing we go to dealing with one crazy mad woman who is obsessed with killing a princess.
Medea is one of the craziest women of all time, in my opinion. She thinks about killing Jason’s new wife since Jason left her for a princess. During the story, Medea talks about how she’s gonna make a beautiful dress for the princess and how she’ll want to put it on right away. This dress is cursed with the terrible poison that the princess with dying a miserable death. For this, I believe that Medea is happy with her plan in killing the princess. I think this because of this section in the writing which says: “No one is going to call me a poor, weak woman who sits on her hands. No, I will be known and feared as a warrior, dangerous to foes, and kind to friends,” (Euripides 17).
In conclusion, this essay shows that revenge doesn’t always go the way you want and it shows it’s not worth the price you pay. One of the examples that I had was Alam Khan who killed his father's murderer but Khan ended up going to jail. The second one I had was Japan bombed us at Pearl Harbor and we ended up bombing them. All of the damage that we caused was worse than the damage done at Pearl Harbor. Another thing is that we have Piper Shaw and Kieran Wilcox who try to get justice for different things but they both end up dead because of it. Finally, we have Medea who is a crazy woman that wants to kill Jason’s new wife. She ends up succeeding in doing so.
