Another one of my toxic traits is that i thoroughly believe Karura, had she lived, would’ve been the most desi-toxic mother to mother. No more ‘Soft sweet womanly mother-love would’ve saved them all 🥺” the Suna family in my mind pass on mental health disorders through bloodlines like their kekkei genkai.
EDIT I wanna elaborate on this actually. I think she would’ve raised her kids up to be militant Suna shinobi like literally everyone in the family. I think she was stubborn and authoritarian and prideful and fiery and jaded like Rasa. They loved each other fiercely for a reason. I think they both had serious mental health issues and just a bad idea in general on how to be People as you would yknow, in a generation-long culture of child soldiers. Just because two people love each other doesnt mean they have a sunshine and rainbows nuclear family relationship, especially in their culture where those emotions were probably frowned upon.

"Royal Family" of Suna, or Uzumaki Clan Really Gets Around
Option 1:
Tumblr media
Option 2:
Tumblr media
This is a bit of a leap, but it makes sense. Suna isn't exactly famous for magnet release. But the Rasa's family apparently is. So, one lineage makes sense given the size of the village. The Third had it, and so does Rasa, but they don't share much of a resemblance. However, Rasa does to Reto. Somehow they need to be connected on one lineage. There's other options within this. Given the difference in coloration, the Third might be Reto's wife's nephew, with both the wife and the Third bearing the magnet release from a common ancestor. Rasa's mother might also have borne the Magnet release, so Reto's wife may not be the carrier. In such a situation, the Third might be Rasa's maternal uncle. In this scenario, Reto's wife might be the carrier of the redhead gene, making for an additional parallel with Konoha's founding family.
Because who has red hair? The Uzumaki.

Gaara and Kankuro visiting their sister in Konoha.
Shikamaru: out of your siblings, you’re the only one who is actually normal now.
Gaara: it would seem so.
Gaara’s sand in the background preventing Temari from delivering a killer blow to Kankuro after he insulted her.
Shikamaru: they probably missed each other.
Gaara: they sure did.

》 Duty 《
Here we have an Important Scene in the life of Gaara, Reeze and Ryuusei.
When Ryuusei heard from his Clan and traveled from Tengoku to Suna, after hearing that there lives another Pureblood, he didn't hesitate for a Moment to ask her, or more he demaded from her that she should fulfill her Duty and marry him, to keep the Bloodline pure, to bring the Clan back to life. Ryuusei really wanted from Reeze who already was married and had two Children, to abandon her Family for him.
Gaara was really not amused, even angry, when he heard that from the Male Pureblood, asking his Wife seriously to leave him and the Kids only for the Clan. He couldn't understand it and it made him really angry in that Moment, it was hard for him to stay neutral and calm. How could someone ask to abandon the Family for a Stranger?
Reeze was shocked. She didn't know how to respond to something like that, but after realizing what he just asked she of course said no. She would never leave the Love of her Life and her Children for a Stranger, even it's another Pureblood from her Clan. It was really rude in her Eyes and she really disliked Ryuusei for what he was asking.
Of course he got even more angry at Reeze for saying no. He couldn't understand how she could marry someone who isn't a Kobayashi. That's why at first he didn't like Gaara, not even the Twins.
That changed with some time.

NaruFox AU Shippuden. Two nights later in the Sand village... Uncle Yashamaru!! ... and edo tenseis.
Prev / Next
Shikamaru keeps taking low rank missions as excuse to visit the Sand village, where animal clans get a much better treatment (and he also gets to use his big brain to help the young kazekage). Ino has HAD it and Chouji won't help so she calls Sakura to the rescue! - With Sasuke out on a mission and Naruto back home she's free to take the mission instead~

GAARA vs SENJU TSUNADE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reasons for submission under the cut
Gaara
he overcame his incredible loneliness and childhood trauma with a lot of grace
he acknowledged the people he may have hurt (rock Lee) and did everything in his power to build up from there
he was always very caring (like when he brought the girl he accidentally hurt an apology gift when he was a child)
he was someone who understood Sasuke and shed tears for him
he motivated an entire army of shinobi that were fighting amongst each other, and he did it purely with love for Naruto, showing how powerful his kindness is
serial killer turned babushka. Quite possibly the sweetest and funniest character transformation [submitter]'s ever seen
he enjoys succulent and cactus gardening, based as always
his gardening outfit is the cutest shit ever seen
he has cat eyes which are very cute
nothing but respect for my goth teenaged president 🫡
he's so polite,,
his character development is amazing, he went from being a crazy murderer, to gaining the trust of his whole village and becoming the Kazekage
despite how drastic his character development was, it still feels understandable due to how badly he was treated as a child, and how deep down he always wanted to love but was simply punished for it
eeeing him recover from his trauma thanks to Naruto is really heartwarming
one of the best redeemed villain characters ever imo
very cool character design
storyline that made [submitter] cry like a baby three different times
he's so full of love
has a cool transformation
enjoyable demeanor once he got the help he needs
nice to see a quiet but social introvert succeed in life, overcome his trauma, and learn his self worth
he was an edgy 12 year old who talked like shadow from shadow the hedgehog (2005) how can u not like that
he's funny
he's pretty cool when he's older, a good leader
his arc is [submitters] favorite in the series
lovely to see how far he came and how hard he worked to overcome his demons
Tsunade
milf….
was the best hokage
the regulation she created to include medics on every team saved so many lives
she's funny and a complex and interesting character
is a bad bitch
probably THE most competently written female character in the entire series
she has a very rich history that plays into her character's actions and motivations
wanting to be the best medic-nin possible in order to save more lives because she lost her love Dan, and also change the way ninja squads operated to always have a medic to save more lives did so much for the better during the war to reduce casualties
after being broken down by so many people she cares about dying, she dips and leaves behind ninja society, which has taken everything from her (including wiping out her clan)
because Tsunade is also one of the most legendary/strongest ninja alive, no one could really stop her or chain her down. It takes the conviction of a child who wants her to save the village and heal his friends to get her back to Konoha, despite the all the trauma she's endured
she's a medic with a fear of blood that overcomes that to fight her own teammate and beat his ass so Orochimaru stops killing and maiming people
she steps up to be a leader because it's what the new generation need and someone has to fix all the stuff broken by her selfish teammates and old teacher
the strongest female character both in physical strength and the strength of her writing. It's like she was written first as a character versus most of the other female characters being written first as Girl and Love Interest
Tsunade is vain and a chronic gambler and drunk, she is really brash and abrasive, she is traumatized. But she's also deeply caring, an incredibly accomplished woman, one of the smartest people/medics in the world, and a great leader
she's multi-layered. She is a woman, but her entire character isn't just Woman
finally finished the job on Jiraiya on previous poll
strong arms
she is strong and smart and quick as a whip but still soft and caring when it comes to her loved ones. Characters with rough exteriors who are mushy inside are very good

boruto rewrite where the show actually still focuses on the original characters from naruto, but we're seeing them face their struggles that come with being adults in the society they live in and after going through what they did. their children are also in the show and we're given their perspective on the events compared to their parents'.
the overall plot revolves around naruto trying to change the shinobi system. he knows first hand how terrible the repercussions are when children are forced to be soldiers, and now that he's the hokage, he finally has the power to change it.
the only problem is, not everyone agrees with him. many believe by changing the age that shinobi begin their training, they won't be as strong later on and the village will become weaker over the years. not only that, but some people just don't understand why naruto feels this way. they were shinobi all their life and they turned out just fine — why fix what isn't broken?
it causes conflict within the cast and allows us to delve into each character more, showing why they feel the way they do and how their experiences have built up to the person they are.
besides that, other characters get their own storylines as well that connect with the theme of recovering from trauma.
gaara realizes that he's only ever lived for his village — as a soldier, a weapon, the kazekage. he works himself to the bone for his village while ignoring his basic needs, still having not realized he's a human just like everyone else. when he gets shinki, he realizes what it's like to prioritize something; what it's like to nurture and love.
sakura works at a hospital for young shinobi, doubling as both a healer and a therapist of sorts. she listens to the children tell their stories and gives them a shoulder to try on. she saw what being alone did to her teammates and she doesn't want any other child to go through what they did.
during her time at the hospital, she slowly begins to see pieces of herself within her patients. her trauma, which she's always pushed away and ignored, starts to come out. she's forced to face these memories she's always tried to bury deep. she struggles with understanding it as well as feeling validated compared to what naruto and sasuke had to go through.
she also struggles with her marriage to sasuke as she starts to unpack all the terrible things he's done to her. she's knows why he did them and she can justify his actions as much as she wants, but it doesn't change the fact he traumatized and tried to kill her at one point.
hinata's would focus on the hyuga. she's an outsider to them without any power. when she was stripped of her title and allowed to marry naruto, she thought it was a dream come true. she was so confident that hanabi would change the clan, that the branch system would be destroyed and neji wouldn't have died in vain.
only, without hinata, hanabi began to crack under the pressure of the elders and her father until she became just like them. the seal system is still in place, the branch families are still treated as servants.
it's a lot about generational trauma. how no matter how much hinata tried to change things for hanabi, she was always destined to fall into the same path as her father. only by recognizing this and making the changes her family refused to do in the past, are they able to change things.
i think there could also be something about how once, a long time ago, hiashi had wanted to change the hyūga. he wanted to dispel the main/side branch family system so his brother could be free. but overtime, he became complacent — very similar to hanabi.
as for the kids, i would show the differences between them based on how their parents feel about them being raised as soldiers.
for example, shikatema would have no problem with the shinobi system (at first) and their child would be entered into the academy and ready to become a ninja.
boruto, however, was raised by parents who want to change the system and hate the senseless violence, therefore he was not enrolled. this causes him to have some resentments for his parents as he's in the minority of children who aren't attending the ninja academy. he's viewed as a weak and soft-hearted by his companions and he hates it. maybe he goes against his parents and attends the academy in secret somehow.
there's a lot you can do with each character, honestly. i won't go further into it unless asked, but here's my main thoughts. i have a lot of idea with how to conclude the arcs as well, but i'm not sure how people would feel about it.
gaara stepping down as kazekage and leaving suna, sakura divorcing sasuke as she realized she never truly loved him romantically, hinata becoming the hyūga head/disbanding the hyūga, etc. many ideas.

Hi!! (: Could you maybe do some headcanons for what Gaara, Itachi, and Kakashi's type/ideal partner would be? In terms of personality, traits, looks, or anything else (: Also feel free to only do one of the above or add any other characters you'd want! Thank you!!
author's note: I love this request so much, I've been waiting for someone to ask me about Naruto characters' types, so I can rant about it. Thank you so much for sending this idea! :) <3
Tumblr media
➤ Gaara
Occupation - Gaara's ideal partner would either be a civilian or someone who is involved in state politics (for example, a member of the Council). Knowing how dangerous the life of a shinobi is and how many enemies he has out there, I don't believe he would ever fall for a ninja.
Looks - while I don't think Gaara particularly cares for looks and appearances, his s/o has to be more or less presentable (especially if they are to be seen next to the Kazekage). I've always imagined him with a s/o, whose style resembles the style of the ancients- clothes made of white linen, gold jewellery (especially jewelled collars and bracelets), and different hair accessories, symbols of their status in the village. I also definitely see his s/o wearing makeup as both a way to protect their skin from the harsh climate and a way to compliment their look.
Personality - the ideal partner for Gaara has to be someone who is calm, gentle, and cares for the people, just as much as him. They definitely have to be patient (being in a relationship with him would definitely require a lot of patience!) and understanding person, who is able to accept him for who he is and what he has done in the past. Now, if his s/o is involved in politics of some sort, I definitely imagine them as someone who is calculating and cunning as well. While Gaara has years of experience as a Kazekage, I don't think he is a political strategist, so his partner would usually be the one influencing the other members of the Council or important figures from other villages, in order to further Suna's best interests.
➤ Itachi
Occupation - healer or a civilian, who lives a life completely dissociated with that of a ninja. Preferably someone who lives far away from the Land of Fire, in a remote village or by themselves, and also had never heard of him or his clan before.
Looks - I think Itachi would fall for someone who is very soft and innocent looking - someone who more or less remind him of his mother. As someone whose main occupation is to gather herbs or do some type of craft, I imagine his s/o preferring more simple clothing, in which they can move freely and comfortably. They would probably have tons of amulets/jewellery on them, the majority of which are heirlooms left by their family. Their style is what I would describe as "bohemian" with an emphasis on organic elements and nature.
Personality - I think Itachi's ideal partner is someone who can serve as some form of escape for him - a free-spirited and optimistic individual, who can offer a different view of the world. They have to be caring, sweet, and respectful, especially when it comes to Itachi's personal space. I think he would appreciate having someone, who won't poke their nose in his business too much and press him to open up to them before he is ready. Still, his s/o has to be someone confident, loyal and also very honest. He would benefit from someone, who would tell him openly what they think and would be his pillar of support in moments when he dwells in self-doubt and regret over the past.
➤ Kakashi
Occupation - there is a 99% for Kakashi to fall for a fellow shinobi or at least someone who had worked a shinobi at some point in their life. His work is pretty much his life, so I definitely see him with someone who can understand how demanding this job is, as well as how it can affect people's lives.
Looks - as long as their s/o does NOT resemble Rin or an Uchiha, he doesn't care. If his s/o is a ninja, they would probably wear the same shinobi attire as him most of the time. If they are not a ninja anymore, I imagine Kakashi with someone who still puts some effort in their appearance, but they don't overdo it. Not a "must", but I do imagine him with someone with either shoulder-length or long hair, so he can run his fingers through their locks as a gesture of love or while falling asleep.
Personality - his s/o has to be someone who is strong-willed, honest, and has a deep sense of community and caring about the people close to them. I imagine Kakashi being with someone who can easily take the role of a "parent" or "the wise adult" (as he has to do quite often) and who doesn't shy away from their responsibilities. His s/o has to be someone who he can share his burdens with and who would stay by his side through good and bad. I imagine Kakashi being with someone with a strong personality, who can sometimes act before they think, yet they always have others' best interests in mind. They would often have strong opinions of stuff and while this can lead with occasional clashes with Kakashi, he would appreciate their honesty and their willingness to argue for what they think it's right.

while i do understand that Rasa did give Gaara a traumatic childhood, as a history student i cant really help but feel for Rasa as well. This man had the pressure of a whole economically drained terrain on his shoulders, his wife died at childbirth when he was what? 27 barely? his council deemed his son as a failure, his son was going on rampage and killing his village, and the fate of his village was hanging by a thread
and i don't even want to think about the nights he might have spent mourning his wife and blaming himself for being a failure, a failed husband, a failed father, a failed ruler, because he was obviously tortured by guilt when he was reincarnated
did he commit mistakes? yes. did he make his children's childhood traumatic? yes. but do i understand why he did what he did? obviously yes. he had so few choices at hand, none feasible enough to sustain the barren desert economy. moreover, the kazekage clan is so much like a historical royal clan you can't really judge it according to modern parameters.
Rasa's character is also so tragic, i love the depth and complexity of it and also the dilemmas and duties a king had to face, duties as a single father of three children, duties as a ruler of a barren economy, you can't really just label him as "he was an asshole father" as a shallow statement

notes for the absolutely bonkers time line of toxicity (that's reborn au au). note that nothing is actually set in stone because it's derivative of reborn au, which is also not set in stone
i realized i suggested tori deciding to get with obito after the cave incident, but also that in reborn au she's actually already dating itachi when that happens. so consider
tori has been dating itachi for a few months (more if you count when she was dating him unknowingly) (her life is... dumb?)
she gets trapped in a cave by Some Guy and minato bans her from seeking vengeance
in reborn au she gets itachi to go freak out That Guy and is satisfied, but in THIS au everyone is more toxic. she has "destroys village out of affection" on the table as normal human behavior. she wants blood. she deserves blood
tori: can you BELIEVE itachi won't kill a singular guy for me obito: lmao tori is it really that big a deal? just kill him yourself tori: but it was :( tori: a cave :( tori: where i doubted anyone at all would ever help me again :( obito: obito: obito: okay FINE i'll kill him
tori breaks up with itachi specifically to seduce obito
it's an amicable break up. she doesn't tell itachi it's so she can run off with obito, but she's like "look i don't have any problem with helping you shirk your clan duties, but i still want to have my own dating life. lmk if you need something else but i won't be your fake gf" which is an entirely reasonable and mature argument for someone who is about to go after an unstable ex-missing-nin
obito is extremely confused when tori starts coming on to him (she is. not good or subtle at it) but ALSO he's kind of into it. he has a lot of weird feelings about tori but she's the one person who knows all his darkest secrets and he likes having her undivided attention. is she actually into him or is she trying to use him to murder more people? he doesn't care!
anyway i have been trying to figure out how no one intervenes in this or causes, like, some sort of permanent interpersonal fallout. and i remembered @waffliesinyoface and i joking around about toxicity just having its main cast destroy even MORE villages, and what if kushina wrecked suna's shit over gaara. so further consider
kushina goes to suna for some reason. idk maybe they host the chunin exams and they're like "send a representative..... not the hokage...... pls thnx." and she realizes how they're treating gaara and she loses her mind
kushina: SURPRISE I RUINED OUR ALLIANCE WITH AN UNTOLD AMOUNT OF MURDER!!!! kushina: also i kidnapped the kazekage's son. he's ours now kushina: he is deeply emotionally unstable and completely op and has murdered so many suna-nin kushina: but i can fix him. with my love <3 minato: o-oh
i don't think i'll have kushina PERMANENTLY adopt gaara (he has older siblings he can go back to!) but he's definitely in konoha for a hot second. so minato's life is currently
bonus child who is both crazy powerful and also desires to kill
(kushina: (shoving shukaku back in with her bare hands) HE'S FINE)
like the number of people who can handle gaara is. very low. he keeps sending gaara and naruto over to the uchiha compound for "babysitting" (Naruto keeps whining he's too OLD) but it's literally a bunch of A-ranks bc someone's sharingan is on them the whole time. the ushiha massacre 1000% doesn't happen in this time line because people are like "the uchiha are the only ones preventing us from being sand-coffined"
tori just fucking broke the hiraishin, so now he has to worry about the possibility of ANYONE ELSE doing that and killing/ruining everyone/everything he's ever cared about
obito?? decides to date her????
anyway the apparent situation of "obito, a 25 year old, has decided to date a teenager, who he's know since he was in his twenties and she was 12" is like. look, it's bad. but also minato is so tired. everyone else is so tired. obito what if you just...... didn't? please?
tori: but i'm the ultra manipulative seductress villain???
also an anon sent this
Itadei fake dating arc.... No one would even really notice/care since obitori is going on at the same time would they
Deidara doesn't give a shit about the murderous suna child. He killed him before and he'll do it again, okay. However WHY IS OBITO IN HIS APARTMENT ALL THE TIME NOW???
deidara: get her back. GET HER BACK itachi: ?? she had a very sound argument for our break up deidara: YOU'RE JUST COVERING FOR BEING A BAD BOYFRIEND
deidara is convinced tori would be SO easy to re-seduce. she likes good food and getting people to commit crimes for, okay. deidara would have just murdered that guy smh
deidara is going to show itachi how it's done
itachi is pretty sure being gay won't stop his parents from trying to get him to marry someone with a working womb, but maybe it will slow them down? certainly deidara has a good shot at scaring away any perspective dates
itachi and deidara start "dating" and no one gives it a second thought because it's the least insane thing happening right now

Hello ^~^
I would like to request neji, gaara and itachi (or whoever you want, really!! I really just want pup interactions) and the things that they let their pups get away with and things that they definitely would NOT let their pups get away with. Been reading your head cannons with their pups and I am obsessed!!
Hello! Pup headcanons are so much fun~ I hope you enjoy!
NEJI
Tumblr media
What does Neji let his pup get away with you ask?
Nothing.
Okay, well, that's not entirely true, but he is pretty strict when his pup is young.
Ultimately though, he's weak to almost anything that his pup asks for to learn. His house is filled with expensive hobby objects that his pup used once and then forgot about.
Cameras, clay, chemistry kits, wool, countless how-to books.
Neji really prioritises learning and enrichment, so he rarely says no to purchases needed to learn a new hobby.
Obviously, kids are flaky, but everytime he says "what about the thing I just bought you?"
his pup says "but this time I reaaaaalllly want to learn this, and I'll keep at it, I promise!"
They rarely do, but Neji caves every time.
And what does he never let his pup get away with?
Everything
Swearing.
Even when his pup is an adult he tells them that he doesn't want to hear them use bad language. He just thinks it's incredibly disrespectful for them to use that sort of language around him, their parent.
He knows they use it with their friends and that's fine, but he's their father, not their friend, so he doesn't want to hear it. Ever.
GAARA
Tumblr media
So, what does Gaara let his pups get away with?
Interrupting him at work, for sure.
He's just soooo weak for his little ones, they are his biggest priority, so while he might lightly scold them if they barge into the Kazekage's office without a good reason, he's too soft to actually stop them.
Whether his pups are crying toddlers brought in by his mate, or school children on their way home, or even teens having a rough day, he invites them in, pauses his work/meeting, and gives them hugs and some of the snacks that he keeps in the bottom draw for them.
He's been known to keep his toddlers on his lap while in important meetings as well.
Because he's Kazekage, sure, but Gaara never forgets that he's a father too.
What do Gaara's pups never get away with?
Hmm, Gaara is very relaxed and lenient, but lying to him is something he takes very seriously.
It truly breaks his heart and trust if his pups lie to him about big things. Obviously a toddler lying about eating a cookie is not a big deal to him, but his older children covering something up and lying to his face... it hurts him.
He's not asking for 100% full transparency all the time, but if he asks a serious question and they lie, then he finds out that they lied, he's hurt enough to ground them and take away their privileges for sure. And his disappointed face is punishment in of itself.
ITACHI
Tumblr media
Itachi is sort of a middle ground between the other two. He's nowhere near as strict as Neji nor as lenient as Gaara.
So what does he let his pups get away with?
Occasional fake 'sick' days.
He's a little ashamed that he's so lax about this, but if one of his pups is sad, or stressed, or even just wants to stay at home and cuddle with him all day, he gives them the day off from school.
Itachi sort of wishes he could home school them, but it's important for Uchiha integration into Konoha that the future clan head's children go to the main academy school.
But he still gets these occasional special 'sick' days where he puts off all chores to cuddle and play with his children uninterrupted for the day.
But what is he strict about?
Fighting between siblings.
He won't have his children being mean to each other or purposely winding each other up.
He has been known to project a teeny bit. Viewing his children as him and Sasuke subconsciously. He doesn't even know that he does it, tbh, all he knows is it makes him very tense and anxious when his children fight, even playfully.
His household is thankfully very low on conflict, but when his pups do fight or bicker, he gives them something his alpha has lovingly dubbed as the 'sibling speech'. It's a long speech about loving and supporting each other and being a team etc. etc.
Itachi isn't creative enough to invent the 'this is our get-along shirt' but if someone ever brought it up, he would at least consider it XD

Random question, but let's say that Itachi lived right? Like all the way to Boruto, do you think Itachi would probably be that one, almost, father figure to Sarada in a way? Considering since Sasuke has always been away from the two of them (Sakura and Sarada) if Itachi decided to stay in Konoha instead of traveling with Sasuke? Also I wonder how Itachi would react to Sasuke being with Sakura as well, I wonder, what do you think?
Interesting question.
To answer this, we need to consider some major factors that were crucial in shaping their lives.
If itachi lived, he should have the development he did during the war i.e. realizing treating Sasuke like a baby was a bad choice he made all along.
Sasuke doesn't know Itachi is alive. Why would he leave the village in the first place if Itachi was alive?
Itachi doesn't know where Sasuke is. Why else would Itachi stay in the village if he could be with his brother?
Konoha has somehow cleared his name and acknowledged its own crimes against the clan.
Still, I'm going to answer this question with the ideas that are independent of each other and don't need each other to exist (if that makes sense?)
I think Itachi would be a terrible father figure to Sarada. He didn't grow up to lead a normal life full of love and comfort. He was a Shinobi who was trained to kill. That's what he did all his life and he never had the time to be anything other than that. He loved Sasuke a lot, but his expression was thoroughly violent, although under extreme duress, and in a slightly easier life he'd have served better. He doesn't know how to be a normal person. He doesn't understand how to be something that's not a Shinobi and a killer. He was conditioned since his childhood to live a certain way and the change in the lifestyle would not change anything for him. I personally don't see him being able to guide Sarada or be a positive/healthy influence in her life. He can't give anything to her, or anyone, for that matter.
He's way, way too damaged as a person. Even if you include therapy sessions those won't erase his past and what he feels about himself. He can't offer anything in a bonding that isn't with Sasuke. He'd still feel some affection towards Sarada. He has no reason to not like her, but he can't be a parent figure to her. I mean, isn't that the whole reason Sasuke, too, isn't a 'good father' to Sarada? He too is damaged beyond repair.
Some anti-SS content under the cut. No slander or bashing of the characters, but my opinion on why Itachi might not approve of Sakura as his brother's life partner. I'll tag the post accordingly. Please don't read if you're a fan of the pairing.
He will not be overly thrilled about Sakura being in Sasuke's life. Sasuke didn't love Sakura and Sakura never loved Sasuke. She was obsessed with an image of his she found alluring and his absence in her life fed that longing further, making her feel she loved him. He was a trophy for her she was to win in the contest of her rivalry against Ino.
In other words, she had no genuine feelings for Sasuke.
Sasuke, too, never felt any affiliation towards her. Yes, there were some moments he cared about her deeply, but he's genuinely kind and caring towards people. If he loved her he'd be more open about his feelings.
When Itachi met Team 7 in the Kazekage Rescue Arc, he paid no attention to Sakura. His attention was solely on Naruto and was happy to see Naruto had grown so much from the last time they met. There was a reason he entrusted Sasuke with Naruto. And he wouldn't be too pleased to know that Sakura once tried to kill his brother for whom he bore the worst pains and sins in his heart.
That alone would infuriate him. However, it wouldn't matter to him if Sasuke really loved Sakura, because I don't think the Itachi that bid farewell to Sasuke in the war would claim any stakes on him. If Sasuke loved Sakura he would be okay with it, but not trust her. Itachi's brain works in different ways. xD
Itachi would also understand there's a reason his brother doesn't want to be with his family. And his lack of affection towards them would tell him everything. He decided things for Sasuke when he saw him as a child in the past, but won't make the same mistakes again.
I think he'd like Sarada, but won't be extremely fond of Sakura. Though I don't see him being good with kids at all.
